I made an appointment online for myself and another person and had a great experience. The lady at the window was very knowledgeable and helpful and made the entire process very painless and simple. We were in and out within 20 minutes and had no problems at all.

I’ve been going to this place forever because it’s next to my job and it doesn’t make sense to go somewhere further out but The Staff here has ALWAYS been horrible specially the old lady with the red hair. Im usually not one to leave reviews, but I discourage people from going to this one. Not sure if its because its downtown or what. Everyone is unnecessarily rude. I had to ask the person at the desk to please be a little more polite because of how condescending they were towards me. Ive been to two others in the area and people have been friendly.

If you want your mail lost, delayed or even sent to wrong cities this is post office for you! The employees are lazy and dont even pay attention to what their doing Im not even certain they can read, the manager is worthless, he doesnt care, all hell do is shrug and say sorry. Something was shipped out Thursday priority mail. Said it would be in by Saturday... were now on Tuesday and we still havent received it, yet tracking says its there. The oh so helpful manager sorry nothing i can do.

I’ve had a HORRIBLE time trying to get my passport at this post office. First of all, it’s hard enough to get an appointment in the first place. My first appointment was canceled without ANY notice. The unhelpful clerks inside just told me to come back a few days later. I scheduled another appointment, and when I arrived at the post office- it was CLOSED. The entire post office was closed even though I had an appointment. No one answers the main USPS phone line, and no one answers the local line. I’m infuriated and frustrated at how unprofessional this is. This is ridiculous and USPS, ESPECIALLY the main Albuquerque post office should be ASHAMED at how little they care about their customers.

The service from this branch is an unbelievable farce. In the last 6 months I have had TEN packages marked as delivered that never arrived. Out of the ten claims I filed only 2 were recovered and for the rest I got a great big shoulder shrug and a Sorry bout that. When Im not busy getting rude responses from the staff at the this location or getting nowhere on the phone with them I spend my time delivering packages to my neighbors that were mis-delivered to me. It is truly amazing how an operation can be so bad at the one thing they do.

Why is it taking a few weeks to a month for mail to get out? Example my grandma would get like a electricity bill but not till later. Please tell me why its taking so long to get mail out. I went in to drop off mail and purchase stamps. I was called by an employee named Rita and I handed my mail to her and as I was asking to look at the stamps her reply to me was, We have drop boxes out there so next time use those, with horrible attitude. When I told I needed stamps as well and either way she could have collected the mail, since that is her job, her co worker, started being rude as well. Maybe DeJoy needs to look into these rude and lazy employees.

Customer service was really poor, the postal WOMAN that work there didnt really know too much of their job description, they told me to call their supervisor gave me her name and number to which theyve never answered the phone cuz before going down there I tried calling millions of times, that is why I had to drive from my home alllll the way to the post office. They could use a little more practice or maybe more employee meetings thanks.

Not even worth a one star! I needed help bringing in a big package and they said they didn’t do that. How do you not help people carry in a package?? Just lazy that’s why. Then I show up with my package and they just stare at me. Then I asked “are you ready?” and she just nods then said I had to wait for someone else to help me carry in the package. Came here to get my passport and loved the experience!! There was a small line ahead of me but it went quickly. The clerk was so nice and took a good picture for my passport. He was quick, efficient and kind. He assured me that everything would process no longer than 6 weeks and would be no prob. Welp, I received my passport in exactly 3 weeks from my visit here and got my documents the very next day.GREAT service, great experience overall. No hassle and advice this location for anything!!!

Received a note in my mailbox to pick up my package from this office on Friday. I came in on Saturday to pick it up and the lady just said nope its not here yet he must have gotten back late last night. So what does that mean? .is it just sitting in a truck somewhere? Why not be more specific in the note? I dont understand this .system...[Updated 4-14-20] It happened again! Except this time they left some of my packages on the front door and the rest they decided not to deliver. No knock on the door or anything just Left one box at the door and a note in the mailbox no knock or anything. Very unsafe and disappointing.

I get to the post office I’m not too sure where to stand because they don’t have a sign saying line begins here and as I’m standing there two other people show up and they assist them before me the lady knew I was next but still called the person that came right after me she seem like she had a little bit of an attitude and was not happy with her job I asked her a question about my mailbox keys and she told me I was going to be charge $40 I also mentioned that they are going to be knocking my apartments down anytime soon and she’s like it doesn’t matter you still have to pay $40 when that doesn’t make any sense to me they are going to be knocking the mailbox down as well my apartments did not charge me to get another key when they should have but there was no point if they are knocking them down anyways anything to make a quick 40 off someone

This is the reason why UPS and FedEx are out performing our Postal Service. A week and a half to get a key made to your own post box? A mail service that cannot find your mail that’s being held? A telephone number provided for the couriers and they are not answering and their mailbox is full? There is no way that any of this would be acceptable at UPS or FEDEX.

Does anyone care at all that your contract workers do not do their job? We are on our third delivery “attempt”. We have a ring camera and no one ever actually came the first time they claimed to try and deliver. Today we were home and the lady didn’t even bother to ring the doorbell. She walked up to the mailbox, opened and closed it, looked over the gate and left. We ran out and she was already gone. No note, no “attempt”. The last time we had a Sunday delivery the dude didn’t even get out of the truck, he just chucked our package over the fence into a sticker bush. LAZIEST EMPLOYEES IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. And if you want to call to report it? Guess what? There’s no one to report to because these are contracted out positions. No one cares. I would pay more to ensure usps does not handle my packages.

These guys work their best. Do you know what goes on behind closed doors? There is a lot. And they do their best. I understand that there is priority mail. But it doesnt mean they arent working on a level of extremely less than mediocre. Not everyone can be perfect. But I will tell you what, these people work HARD for YOU to get YOUR MAIL. Cheers mate!

This post office is HORRIBLE. The business I work for gets mail there, like important documents, (mind you my work has had this same office building and address since the 70s). Things get held back, returned, lost. They literally sent an important document to an address similar to ours yet IN CALIFORNIA. Seriously how do you screw that up. CA and NM not hard to distinguish. On top of that anytime they make a mistake they take 0 responsibility for it, they dont even attempt to rectify the mistake

None of the employees seem to know how to do their job. Just found out today that Ive lost months and months of mail, including an ID and debit card because they were unable to provide a service as simple as a change of address properly. And this is not the first time Ive had problems with them. Honestly, steer clear of this place. Go to any other post office in town. The extra travel time is worth it because Ive actually lost money over this. Only tolerable aspect of this office is the passport counter.

This is the post office closest to my home so I use it frequently. I am always treated with respect and courtesy. The front desk clerks handle a very large amount of business because of the popularity of this office and I applaud their patience and care with each customer. They are champs!

I am so so heartbroken for this elderly man who was absolutely belittled, bullied, teased, and berated by STELLA while trying to figure out how to fill out a form this morning. He was apologizing profusely and being so kind to her and she was embarrassing him in front of everyone & making a big deal over the fact that he wasn’t sure what he was doing. She wasted all her time making him feel terrible by mocking him, rolling her eyes at him, saying “oh come on, aye aye aye, I already showed you this, etc” when she could have taken the time to help him nicely & speed up the process for both of them. Not to mention she made no effort to disguise the look of annoyance on her face. I’m sorry Stella, but the next time I see you at the post office, if you’re still working there, I will have something to say.

Did a passport application, called got an appointment, went there and Amy helped me. No wait. She was very efficient, friendly, professional, and engaging. Two parents with a 16 year old boy came up after we were done without an appointment and she helped them set up an appointment and advised them on the passport process. I read the reviews before I went and entered there with some trepidation, but it was quite nice.

However, mail service was stopped at my old address one week early and I dont have any mail at my new home THREE blocks away. I have bills to pay and other time sensitive mail to receive. You dont wanna know and it would take too many characters to tell this story. They actually deserve a MINUS one.....Apparently I wrote that 8 months ago and in the ensuing period had no complaints. But today,I think I saw a microaggression perpetrated against a Latino couple who waited in line a long time and when they got to the front and asked for a piece of tape, they were refused. I know I have asked for tape a number of times at the post office, and I always was helped....In addition, they had not addressed their package. Rather than asking them to step aside and address it and come back - which Ive seen the post office do for other people countless times, they were refused any help whatsoever. I wonder what the little girl who was with them concluded from how they were treated. I tried to call the post office to talk with someone in charge about this and all I got was a long automated, repetitive menu.

The 2 ladies currently working the counter at this location are amazingly nasty. Ive witnessed them both being extremely rude to customers and there is no attempt to provide prompt or courteous service. This location never seems to be running smoothly; there is always a very long line, and customers are very likely to be treated with contempt and disrespect.

I would be happy to write about my experience if I could ever get an appointment to get a passport. I have been calling since the day after Christmas.... it is Jan 8 and the phone has never answered. It rings and rings. So I went in to the post office to be told to wait in an immense line to make an appointment since the person was not in. When are they in???? Hello...... Needless to say.... I have been redirected to other locations that 1. do not require an appointment (I want to drive 27 miles to hope this other USPS office is helpful???) Ummmm 2. maybe I could wait in an immense line to be told they were now closed... Ugh.... How do we get anything done when the post office works from 11-3, by appointment.... Wonder why UPS will survive and USPS wont?

If you need a passport this is the place to go! In the past few years we have done 4 passports and this lady does the forms incredibly fast with no mistakes and takes great pictures. One time I lost my passport and I needed a new one ASAP before the trip. She squeezed me in without an appointment and as long as no other people were waiting she was working on my docs!Girls at the counter are always slammed. They do their best but they need another person at the counter so bad!! Average wait time is about 15 minutes Id say.

I was informed by the recipients of the save the dates that they had all been stamped and bardcoded on the wrong side of the post card, so as to ruin the nice picture side. The most rude and un-helpful people I have encountered in a long time (if ever). The mail clerks at the front desk could not have been more mean and disrespectful -- I was truly taken aback by their conduct. I took my children to renew their passports, but ended up leaving after, being verbally belittled and berated just for asking where my children and I should wait. There was 1 clerk (eventually 2) for most of the time servicing 38 people in line (yes, I counted), however, there was NO signage or other notification where folks seeking passports should line up or wait. I, understandably, was waiting at the counter that had the sign Passport Office hanging over it, but, according to the clerk, I was the most ignorant and foolish person for doing so. I am, needless to say, extremely frustrated that, in effect, these U.S. Postal employees prohibit us run-of-the-mill citizens from complying with the passport requirement laws.

Hadnt received mail in almost three weeks after a change of address. The lady at the counter gave me a phone number and said they never answer but just keep calling them she also refused to check if I had any mail there. Come to find out they gave me the keys to a different apt box and now have to wait another 10 days to receive new keys. Nightmare! Almost all the workers at their counter are very rude as well!

Ive had nothing but problems with this post office. I had a letter marked return to sender that was sent from my companies main office to our business PO Box at this post office. Just returned, for no reason. It was an important letter.Now, Ive had a package that they attempted delivery at 8:46pm then apparently tried again today but claim it is undeliverable because the address is incorrect. This week Ive had FedEx and UPS deliver 4-5 packages to the exact same address. Ive gone down to the post office to locate the package and they have no idea where it is.Twice I have gone down and had them specifically add only two names to our PO Box but I repeatedly get other mail in my box. This really is the worst Post Office Ive had, and that is saying something because every other one Ive used has been awful as well.

In an attempt to speak with the supervisor Claudio I spoke with Darlene over the phone she was helpful im trying to help me get in touch with him at that time she was explaining to me how we could do so, my cell phone battery died, ending the call. I got home and was able to recharge my cell phone and I called the phone number back I asked the name of who I was speaking with so I can apologize for the call ending. Darlene did confirm that it was her who was speaking and before I could explain or apologize to her she told me that she does not appreciate being hung up on and that she will have Claudio follow up with me and SHE hung up on me!!!!! I can understand her frustration when she thought I hung up on her but that was not the case since my phone battery died. the unprofessionalism should  not to be taken lightly I am very upset that I was not given a chance to explain myself, in no way did I intentionally hang up the call. I could understand if I was being aggressive or using foul language causing her to end the call but I WAS NOT, I was trying to explain to her and she never gave me a chance to speak before hanging up on me!

Went in around 12:45 to get a passport and was told it was too close to lunch and to come back at 2. (Theyre supposed to be closed 1-2 for lunch.. you would think getting there before 1 they wouldnt make me leave but whatever.) Came back a little before 2 and waited until 2:15 before leaving because no one had bothered to come back from lunch yet. Thats an extra 30 minutes of lunch break. If I took an extra 30 minutes of lunch I would be fired. Just saying..

I use this post office because its in my neighborhood. I had a bad experience with a worker named Jolene. Think she needs to change her name because shes everything but joyful. My nephew was trying to mail a pkg for the first time, hes is still in school and was just asking a question and she made him feel like an idioti. Im an outspoken person and being a former cashier and dealing with public I never treated customers rudely, well I told miss Jolene that she was rude and I didnt appreciate her making him feel like he was stupid, I said you have a mean face and the personality to go with it shame on you, well she started to cry and apologized and said that was just her face, but even if it is her face her actions to me were unacceptable. These people get paid very well to do their job and should be retrained in proper customer service.

My friend Shirley who is disabled with Muscular Dystrophy tried to mail her family Christmas packages on December 1st, 2015 but Stella and her co-worker Joy made that impossible. When Shirley discovered the rate for over night would be $45 she asked for a refund. Stella told Shirley she was not Trained in the new way of doing this Stella told Shirley to stand in the corner and wait until she had time to Figure out what to do This was at 8:30 AM. At 10:30 AM Stella finally processed the refund which according to Shirley took minutes.Shirley has no family to help her and she didnt call me for help. Shirley called for a van for the disabled to drive her to this location. To add insult to injury Stella and Joy accused Shirley of trying to steal packing tape. According to Shirley a young Blonde man asked to check Shirleys purse and she agreed. He found no tape in Shirleys purse and told Stella and Joy to End thisShirleys rights have been violated by these two hateful postal employees and I plan to pursue this until Stella and Joy either lose their jobs or are made to compensate Shirley for the humiliation and pain they unnecessarily caused her.

I would give ZERO star, if there was this option! two clerks that attended me in less than half hour were in a bad mood. One is named Joylene; she gave me a very bad customer service. She messed up with my order and when I told her that the value she gave me was wrong, and she noticed that she had to void the transaction, she got mad as h*** and said F*** and S*** and acted all mad.Politeness, courteousness and customer service training are things that looked that was not taught to her.And of course phone is something that does not exists for them. When I complained with the first clerk about nobody answering the phone, she said yeah, no one answer the phone here.Unbelievable!I felt like dealing with 3rd world Country.

The mailbox of the person you are calling is currently full. Please try your call later. THIS is the message one gets when calling what is supposedly the MAIN number for the Broadway post office number. Im a big fan of the post office in general, but postal employees best remember that they are accountable to the public for at least decent service! Guess who will be held responsible for the PRIORITY package that I put in the mail box and possible tax-day related mail that has NOT been picked up at our downtown building for a WEEK! NOT the post office, nor I suppose, the mail carrier who has decided he/she no longer has to pick up mail in the lobby of our building. Insult to injury is that you cant even leave a message at the post office to voice your concerns or find out what is the problem! Terrible, terrible customer service at the Broadway station.

Really horrible service and personnel. I dropped off 19 pre-paid first class and priority packages and found that 24 hours later 10 of them had not even been scanned yet! This is worse than a so called third world countrys postal service. They also refuse to answer their phone....rang and rang and then someone picked it up and slammed down the receiver to disconnect the call.In addition, I told the doorman that I had one more package to get from the car and he said if I went out he would lock the door????????? He said something about it was one minute to closing! He acted like a complete douche bag!

Stella is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She has no right working in customer service. it is NEVER ok to speak to other people the way I just witnessed her speak to a customer. Not only did she go above and beyond to hurt another human beings feelings she sucks at her job. I mailed a package that was 3 day priority mail and she told me I couldnt track it for a week. When I pointed out that it was a 3 day service she said quote oh, my mistake Im not perfect! Oh trust me Stella we all know that!!!!!

Dont try to get your mail held, no matter what box you check (pick it up or have the carrier deliver) it gets messed up. When you check carrier deliver held mail it takes 2-3 weeks for that to happen. thinking I could avoid that delay by picking it up myself was just as bad. You get a number to call (346 8050) that no one ever answers. UNBELIEVABLE. Youd think you are dealing with a 3rd world country.

Its the worst post office I have been to regarding service. Theres nothing good about their customer service. Being the main post office in town it is peculiar they often only have one person working the desk. On multiple visits Ive heard the workers complaining about their job and having to deal with customers and the day to day rigmarole. As much as Id like to support the U.S. post office, I will be switching to UPS and FedEx.

Service at the counter ok, the car lost my package for 3 days, they coulnt find it, and they send it to another usps office and even with the tracking number nothing, why give tracking number if they cant even find it themselves

I had an urgent need to drop off a package today and my local post office was already closed. So, I looked up on the internet for this branch(the main) and saw the hours were 7 AM to 5:30 PM. I drove all the way over there and they were already closed at around 3:30 PM. Reasons like this is why USPS is in such financial mess.
