Exceptional professionalism and customer care at this dealership!I was traveling through Albuquerque when the check engine and tire pressure lights came on. I called the other Honda dealerships and no one had time till next week. I spoke to Mr. Armando Alvarez and he spoke to his manager to make an exception to take me in. Once at the dealership Armando took care of complex service contract calling as this dealership did to directly worked with my maintenance contract company. He got the car washed for free and took care of two nails in the rear tire. He was exceptionally professional about all of the process and continued to inform me while I waited at the dealership. The entire work was completed in less than 90 minutes and everything was taken care of. I usually dont have such amazing experience at any of the Northern Virginia dealerships. I think you guys have great people working for you. I can only thank you for hiring such great folks.

I have dealt with Lee on multiple occasions and he has been great. He is extremely helpful, patient and kind. He makes it easier on mute when I have to take my car in for service.

Typical dealership service department….puts a band aid on the issue so you will have to bring it back time and time again. This is the second vehicle that has had the exact same problem of the battery being fine one day and completely dead the next. Brand new car on its third battery because they refuse to do their job. Will never visit Garcia Honda again. We will take our business elsewhere.

From the moment I approached the entrance service was prompt & courteous, I was greeted by sales rep Andrew, and not only was he informative & well educated on the vehicles in stock, he was great with explaining all aspects of the vehicle we were looking at to my wife & I, and answered all questions with expertise! We were assisted by John in finance & once again we experienced top quality service from another great member of the Garcia Team! John made our purchase easy & was a pleasure to finalize our deal with! No haggling or hassle, we got exactly what we came for, and left happy! Service department here is the worst. Ive purchased 2 vehicles from Garcia Honda and have had issues with a new 2019 Honda Odyssey we purchased from them. The display screen for the backup camera and climate control began intermittently going out, to a completely black screen. This began happening daily. The vehicle is driven by my pregnant wife who needs it to commute to the kids school and for work visits. Weve notified Garcia Honda about this and had it in for service MANY times, but the problem has not been corrected. It is extremely inconvenient for us to have to work around their terms to bring it in over and over for the same thing that is not being fixed. They wouldnt even take our word that it was an intermittent problem, then couldnt find an issue at first and wanted proof. So we took multiple photos and videos of the black screen while the car was on. They still couldnt fix it. They also wouldnt provide a rental vehicle while they had it in for service each time, so we had to borrow family vehicles. There were other issues with their service as well, such as forgetting notes about discounts they offered due to the repeat services and giving away a part they special ordered for that vehicle which needed a window blind replacement. Our experience over the past year and a half dealing with their service department has been so terrible that we will be switching to a different vehicle supplier ASAP. I purchased a truck from American Toyota and have had it in for a couple services and the difference is night and day. They are far better to work with and offer incomparably better service. I dont like to write poor reviews, but in this case it was needed, Garcia Honda had multiple chances to earn back our trust. Im done seeing my wife have to arrange her day over and over and over to accommodate Garcia Hondas poor service department.

Went over to get my sensor fixed first time , must have missed something. They got me a second appointment and fixed it, then about 15 minutes on the road it stopped working. Paid a few hundred dollars I hope they get this fixed. Definitely since I paid to get this fixed. Came back again after they reached out to me. I came back and got it fixed. Only issue this time was on the insurances side which I had to pay for the work outright and then request reimbursement! But I got my issue fixed and now my adaptive cruise control is working! I am a semi happy customer.

We were driving across the country when we started smelling a disgusting smell coming from the air vents. Albuquerque was one of our early stops on the trip and we were getting very nervous and desperate by the time we made it. A very helpful and kind man, who was obviously very busy and overwhelmed with other customers that had appointments, dropped everything to help us even though we were drop-ins. He was very knowledgeable and reassured us that it was not a problem that could affect the operation of the vehicle and offered some east solutions. We cannot thank him enough for putting our minds at rest and taking the time to help even though he was very busy!! Thank you Garcia Honda!!

Made an appointment for a car fob/key replacement. After waiting for over an hour, they were able to tell me that they did not have the part available. Time wasted and they set up an appointment for a few days later stating they would get the replacement in then. Luckily, I was running late so I called to let them know and decided Id ask if the part was in. After 45 minutes of trying to speak to someone, they let me know the part was not in. Im glad i didnt show up and wait again to be told the part wasnt in. And they had no intentions of letting me know that the part was not in. I asked if theyd call me when the part was in and they said they would have someone call me, but I dont believe them and will take my business elsewhere.

Service on my car was awesome but service by the individual helping me was horrible. Incompetent, dismissive and really did not understand a single question i asked. I felt rushed in regards to every interaction, especially when i had questions regarding updates needed with my vehicle. Really unfortunate when you have a family that depends on one vehicle you try to manage and a young ignorant employee is too arrogant to care or understand. Please hire more competent service workers in the future. Really had to bite down and drive away with dignity rather then yelling at your worker.

Garcia Honda kept my car all day, and when I went in to pick it up, they had neglected to rotate the tires, change out the filters, and do an alignment as I had requested. They did install the new air conditioning compressor as requested, but that should not have been necessary as the vehicle is only 3 years old. I will never again buy another Honda.

Not Trustworthy! We purchased our Pilot from this dealership about 1.5 years ago and had a good experience with the sales team. Per their suggestion, we had our first oil change at the dealership. For the second oil change, I took the vehicle to a small local quick-shop. At that appointment they mentioned that damage had been done to the pan threads at the first oil change and I should take it back to have it examined. So I took it back to Honda and after waiting an hour the assistance service manager told me that basically it was the other service providers fault and he encouraged me to schedule an appointment with Honda to (pay myself) to have it fixed and also pay for a new oil change because the filter was leaking. The next day I called a third party service provider for a quote and to ask about the situation. Without seeing the car they thought it was an issue that would have been caused at the first oil change (with Honda) or at least the part would be under warranty. I called the Service Manager who very defensively insisted that Honda was not responsible and though he kept saying he didn’t like to blame others that it was the other guys’ fault citing some new information (which I have yet to confirm) that I was not told at my original visit. He said Honda was a multi-billion dollar company and they’d pay for mistakes if they were theirs. Of course he didn’t apologize that his service guy had tried to charge me for something they were now insisting should be paid for by someone else. He said they would write up their inspection so I could use it and they would assist however I needed. Three weeks have passed in which I’ve written a follow-up email and left a voicemail and I have received NONE of the promised assistance. So now I will likely need to pay for this issue that could have been resolved with honesty. IF it wasn’t their fault, they should have originally offered to help settle the issue with the other provider instead of trying to charge me. But considering I haven’t heard anything from them since, I think the issue was probably their issue and they just don’t want to admit it. I don’t trust them at all and I am very unsatisfied. I will NEVER go back for service here again. Beware!

MOST of the staff is knowledgeable and very customer friendly, besides the entitled kid that said just because he works there “doesn’t mean he has to like Hondas. I applied at Dodge first.” With an attitude like that, no wonder Dodge didn’t hire him.I have a full warranty on my car, the front LED went out for a second time, not due to anything besides something is wrong with it or the car, and because they’ve replaced it once, they won’t replace it again. I didn’t realize when purchasing the warranty it only covers something once. Warranty is for piece of mind, guess that can be a waste of money. Won’t do that again.

Im a bit late in writing this review as I just got a Google account. My experience with Garcia Hondas service department was a complete nightmare. We had a 2010 Honda Pilot that was a wonderful vehicle. We kept up on all the maintenance and, at 100,000 miles, we decided to have the maintenance done at that mileage. The service took longer than expected and when we received the vehicle back, it idled rough and the check engine light came on. So we took the vehicle back so they could address the issue as we know sometimes things may need to be tweaked and we wanted to be fair. Well, long story short we took the vehicle back 3 or 4 times. Each time we picked up the vehicle we were told the check engine light would not come back on. Well, everytime we drove it for a while it came back on. When I expressed my frustration and concern that this vehicle had no issues prior to bringing it in, I was met with quite a bit of attitude for the service folks who basically seemed like they wanted to wash their hands of any issues. Needless to say they NEVER resolved the issue and the check engine light never stopped displaying. As a result, we did not feel comfortable, or safe, driving the vehicle. We ended up going to Perfection Honda who bought the vehicle from us and I was surprised at what they purchased it for. Apparently used Honda Pilots were a hot commodity at the time. Since then weve only taken our vehicles to Perfection and could not be happier. I would not recommend Garcia Honda to any family or friends nor wish my experience to my worst enemy. Their service department is the worst experience by far.

Simple, easy, no stress. Best way I can describe it. Showed up they even let me bring in my homework to work on while I waited for my oil change and tire rotation. They completed a full vehicle inspection and also gave my car a free rinse off cleaning. I asked if there were any discounts or specials going on and he found one for me. Always a good thing. Truthfully they said the whole process was going to take an hour and a half. They were done within 45 minutes. I didnt get much school work done because they were so quick but Im not complaining. All and all good place to go for your Honda, people were friendly, and explained everything along the way.

Honestly Id give the service department a BIG FAT 0 if I could. But they make you pick at least one star... never take your car here if you value depndable, direct and fast service. Youll get an experience far from such.. With all the problems and concerns Ive had in these past two weeks with my car at their shop.. Ive received ABSOLUTELY ZERO customer service from their Service Manager Andrew (whom Ive reached out to on several occasions) and I have even tried to escalate this matter to the GM Mike McKinnon, and still crickets. When I call I am never able to get a straight answer on my car, from the kids working there whom I am left to question about my vehicle. You better bet Ill NEVER bring my car back and Ill be sure to stir clear anyone I can from such a HORRIBLE experience.

Would give NEGATIVE 5 stars if i could; STAY AWAY FROM SERVICE DEPT!!! i took my 2002 into service dept because of a loud noise when driving it; was told i need to replace the engine because bad rod bad pistons or bad pins; was quoted $4760 for the job; but, i was suspicious because it ran fine and the noise was coming from the REAR not from the engine; took it to another shop, and their tech actually drove it and immediately diagnosed bad rear wheel bearings, said the engine is FINE; but said bad wheel bearings is very dangerous to drive on; what if, right after leaving GH, a wheel froze up and caused me to crash? GH tech even said i could keep driving my Honda with “bad engine” as long as i keep putting oil in it!! so obviously GH wanted my $4760 instead of caring about my SAFETY on the road!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT GARCIA HONDA!!

Driving from Fl to Oregon, I got stuck in the Texas freeze and in the process, my windshield wiper broke, making the remaining driving treacherous to say the least. Mike, the sales manager, assured that I was taken care of with the inclusion of babysitting my kids while I was completing the buying process and having my wife approve the purchase. I have not experienced such bad customer service in ages. When I leased my Honda, they told me to bring it in for service every 5-7000 miles. I did that the first time. Then I had a notice for a recall. I scheduled an appoint for service and they told me that it was going to take at least 3 hours and they had no loner. So I had to wait until it was convenient for me to take off a half-day of work. I had to miss the appointment in September due to work. I called to reschedule and they told me not to come in until I needed the oil change and that when I saw the red light come on then I should call to reschedule. So I waited for the red light to show up. That took a few weeks. Then I had to wait for a time I could take a half-day off. Last week I called to schedule it for today, they confirmed it would take at least 3 hours and I should wait or get a ride. I live in Placitas so that is not convenient for anyone. I brought it in and Tristin confirmed they were doing to do the recall of the steering wheel and that it was due for tire rotation. He told me to be comfortable for 3 hours at least. I sat and waited. at 3.4 hour I went to check. They were unable to take care of the recall because they did not have the item in stock. Can you imagine that I became a bit irritated. They also did not have to do the rotation. He asked if I wanted to reschedule for the recall and I said no. You all can wait two more years for the car to come back in from the lease agreement. My time is more valuable, and the lack of communication and service is less than desirable. On top of that, the usual complimentary car wash they typically do did not happen either. So frustrating.

Garcia HondaAug 27, 2020I’m beyond disappointed with the service I have received... from the Honda service center at Garcia Honda. I’ve been more than patient understanding and civilized about the incompetence of the service provided by what I thought was a highly reputable dealership. After making an appointment for a airbag recall. I thought I would also have anAC diagnostic since my wife has had trouble with it for some time. The experience goes south from here. I’d rather have a root canal everyday for a month straight than to ever have to relive this experience another day. However at the end of the day I would have to accept some responsibility for not running instead of walking to the nearest exit. This dealerships service center should be shut down and prohibited from working on any vehicle period. The amount I was charged for shabby AC repair is embarrassing close to $2,000. 1st 2nd and now 3rd time I have returned vehicle in less than two weeks and it’s a different story each time and still have NOT fixed the problem. I’m outraged to say the least. After seeking legal assistance in dealing with this problem it had been suggested that I allow them the chance to properly repair and write the wrong and actually fix the car. POTENTIAL FUTURE CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE BEEN WORNED. If I preformed and did my job in this manner, I am certain I wouldn’t have a job. Out Right shameful......ZERO STARS OUT OF INFINITY.. with that said, unfortunately what I have mentioned up to this point is a tiny fraction of the nightmare. As much as I would like to continue the tirade manifesto I am completely baffled as to the level of incompetence across the board that exists at this dealership. Maybe a suggestion to management lead by example take some responsibility, and certainly stop passing the buck to the Customer Service Agents who are only doing their best, rather than leaving them to take the heat and explain away management’s short comminglings. I can’t wait for the response from this review. As I am aware from Honda Corporate Motors, dealerships are independently owned and operated, However Corporate is watching.......

I made an appointment 24 hours in advance to test drive a Honda Clarity plugin hybrid. When I arrived the salesperson I made the appointment with wasnt there and they did not have my appointment scheduled. The Clarity they gave me to test drive did not have a charge in its hybrid battery.

The salesperson that I worked with was amazing and he was able to get me the car that I wanted. My issue isnt with him at all, he would get five stars, but rather with the financing process. I received a paper documenting what great deal I could get if I came in in September and upgraded my car in the month of September. I printed out that paper and brought it with me. The paper was taken from me at some point in the process to show someone. This meant I didnt have anything to compare the offer to. I was a little overwhelmed with the whole process (my fault) so didnt really understand the difference in the deal on that paper and what was offered to me. It wasnt until I got home that I realized the paper was one year less at about the same price monthly than what I walked away with. They also somehow had the loan payoff amount including my payment for September. I hadnt paid this when I went. This meant I had to pay for September on my old car, even after I had already traded it in. I was expecting to get the money back after but contacted the credit union and Honda sent the check amount with the September payment which meant I got nothing back.1) Make sure if you come in with an offer that you keep the paper to be able to compare.2) Write down your total loan payment for any other vehicle on that paper so the dont have you pay an extra payment.3) Preferably go with another person so you both can make sure they arent giving wrong information.It was my fault for being naive and trusting what they said. Ill have to find a different Honda dealer in the future. An expensive lesson in my life but thought I would leave this if it might help someone else out.Edit: Tried calling the number mentioned but there isnt an option to speak to Mike.

I have seen Garcia Honda Dealership at there best when I bought My first car with them in 2006, Honda Odyssey in 2013 and today we Bought Honda Civic for my Daughter.with Some bed experience with sales manager and store Manager.I have had nothing but 5 Honda vehicle at one point.Customer service is most important thing for me and I think I will have to see how they take care me overall going forward to buy any Honda Vehicles in the future.Today’s experience is far worse then any buying car experience in pass.It’s ok if sales person or service technician makes little mistakes but I never seen a Manager of the store come and accuse customer for no reason without even introducing him self.I hope Manager change there Dealerships to there best and prove me wrong.I didn’t have good experience today hopefully that will change in the future with there Manager attitude towards Existing customers.

At mile 800 or so of a 2200 mile trip, my cars check engine, air bag and traction control lights went off about an hour outside of Albuquerque. So I took a chance and drove the 60 miles since the car was running fine, and decided to swing it by Garcia Honda to hopefully have a diagnostic run on it. Also being around 4/4:30 pm in the afternoon when I brought the car by, I knew my chances of getting anything done were slim, or so I thought. Carrie and Nathaniel, hopefully I didnt misspell the names or get them wrong, but they absolutely took care of me. I was simply hoping to get a thumbs up on hitting the road, simply that it was drive-able for the next 1400 miles.They thought they could squeeze me in, since I was only asking for a diagnostic and there had been a slow start with my car the previous two months with no solution found. Luckily they got my car on a diagnostic identified the codes, told me the car was lean on fuel, meaning the air - gasoline mixture was not as much as it should be. Within an hour, they said as long as the car is running fine, you should be ok, but pull over and get it towed if anything starts to feel different. I took their advice, and made it the whole trip home without another issue, and the codes havent come up, but taking it to the shop to get it fixed this week. Carrie was fantastic! My vehicle had a warranty service that required me to leave it at Garcia Honda for a little over 1-week. Carrie provided updates on when parts and services would be ready. She also communicated directly with the regional American Honda representative to confirm that such repair was covered under the 5-year power train warranty. The vehicle was also washed.

SM was nice, articulate and all around cool dude. Unfortunately, those things do not fix cars. Not impressed and would love to talk with a service manager and or owner. It is your responsibility to not only fix the vehicle but educate the consumer as well.UPDATE- I called for Mike Mckinnon, twice, and never received a call back.

GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE! I started looking for an SUV a few weeks ago. I looked at many makes and models over many dealerships. Ultimately, I decided to buy from Garcia Honda because of their trustworthy sales team and reliability. Ivan Orozco, my sales person, was very polite and professional, which in car sales is a rarity. I never felt pressured and I felt that Ivan really listened to my specifications and went above and beyond (staying late and bringing vehicle to me) to get me into the right vehicle for my needs. The sales manager Mike Mckinnon was very friendly and gave me a great deal with no games.I would definitely buy from them again!

Great service as always. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Went in for an oil change and took about 35 to 40 minutes but I also had to have a few other small things replaced. Comfy waiting area, free snacks, and a little area for kids. I will continue to bring my car here for all my services.

I recently leased a Honda Civic Hatchback EX in the sonic gray color. I was blown away by the easy process and how helpful everyone was. I went in and was shown a few different models by David Georges. I told him a few of the reasons I was looking for a new car and he highlighted which models would be best for me. We took a test drive in a civic hatchback and a civic sedan, and David was extremely knowledgeable about all the features. I fell in love with the hatchback, but they didnt have a color I wanted. Mike McKinnon said that a sonic gray hatchback would be delivered in a few weeks, so I reserved it. I was kept in touch the whole time, and notified as soon as the car arrived. I went in and was shown my car by David and we went in and started the process. Mike and David talked me through all the paperwork and broke down all the numbers and options. It was done within two hours, including switching my insurance over and they took care of the registration. I asked about a student discount, and received a Recent Graduate Discount, which was awesome! At the end, CJ Sanchez went over the additional warranties and maintenance. He was extremely thorough and we picked the best fit for me: road hazard. At the end of the paperwork Chris Gonzales showed me everything I needed to know about my new car: all the buttons, presets, and how to use the apple car play and the screen. Everyone congratulated me and seemed genuinely happy for me. I drove off a happy girl without any dealership stickers on my car. Also, I know some people think the extra warranties is just a way for the dealership to make extra money, but I got my moneys worth within the first couple weeks. I got a giant screw in my tire after going on the freeway and got low tire pressure. I went in to the service department the same day and they fixed my tire right there within a half hour and I drove off! I could not be happier with my experience at Garcia Honda and was so impressed with the friendliness and expertise of the staff.

The very first thing they asked us about was what we wanted in a car. They have excellent customer service and we didnt feel pressured to buy anything day-of like we have at other dealerships. John Silva is truthful, WOW! We bought a much needed prowled Toyota Tacoma truck and Nate worked with us to make it affordable. John is a valley man, one of us, he knew about alfalfa, goats and farms. I absolutely recommend this place for honesty! Work with and affordable! It took Forever, but it always does for paperwork!

Felt very uncomfortable when I went here. As soon as we got out of our vehicle we were approached by a gentleman. We told him we were just looking at the vehicles. We mentioned we needed to use the restroom. He showed us where they were, and then waited for us outside the restroom. He followed us to the door and tried to get us to sit down to talk about the vehicles even though we said we wanted to look at them. I suffer from anxiety and the way he kept following us around made me extremely nervous and a bit panicky. While we were looking at the vehicles another gentleman came and starting asking us questions eventhough this other gentleman was already following us around like a little puppy. We ended up just leaving after looking at 2 or 3 cars.

I bought my 2004 Civic brand new from Garcia Honda back in the day, and it lasted all these years (14 to be exact) until now. So naturally I wanted to keep my business with them, as I have always been treated so well there. I was paired up with John Motley to help me find my next car. Not only was he patient and helpful, there was no pressure for me to get into any vehicle right away and start talking numbers. John even helped me out on my trade in cost for my old vehicle due to a bad judgement call I had with the service team there the week before.So after another hour or so of test driving and looking around, I finally found the one that I really liked, but by that time it was already late in the evening and way past their closing time. John went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was nothing less than satisfied. He even helped me empty out the stuff in my old car and loaded it up in the trunk of my new one.I am thankful for salesmen like John Motley, as well as the finance team at Garcia Honda, as they restored my trust and belief that there are great guys out there who arent just there to swindle you into something you dont need, but to help you get a good car and a good deal that you deserve, especially being a female buyer.
