These guys obviously dont take walk-ins....LAME AS HELL.....I GUESS THEY TOO GOOD FOR WALK-INS...sort of disrespectful!!!!

Im very pleased with this barber. Great cuts for my 18 and 14 year old boys. They take their time and do a top-notch job. Its centrally located in Albuquerque at I-25 and Osuna. Generally, we can get in same day when we call ahead. If youre a first time visitor, stop by and grab a business card from a barber... its better that you call them directly than the main number. Most of the barbers are focused on the head of hair theyre working on, so dont think they are ignoring you if they arent chatty. Remember, youll get the same individual attention when youre in the chair.

This is the best place to get a haircut. I recommend going to Carlos. He got top 5 barber in all of New Mexico. I recommend going here they have the award the best barbershop for the past 5 years or something like that.

The only bad reviews seem to come from entitled people who were too lazy to call ahead for an appointment or ask a simple question when they walked in instead of assuming. If you just walk in and sit quietly at an appointment-based shop, most would probably assume youre waiting for someone and have an appointment.. I spoke up as a walk in my first time and they explained they were appointment only but Geno still managed to fit me in. Hes been my barber ever since. I drive across town passed a bunch of closer shops just to get cut at True. Always awesome work, clean cuts and a great experience! Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment. They stay pretty busy with a high demand but getting scheduled is fairly easy and the guys will work to get you in if theyre not already booked.

After watching Luke Cage on Netflix I had to get back to my roots (no hair pun intended) and find a straight up barber shop. Somewhere I could walk in, sit down, get a hair cut and not have a gimmick shoved in my face. True Barbershop fit the bill perfectly! I didnt even have an appointment (this time) and they got me in fast. On top of it all the haircut is great! Pops would be proud.

Barbers are professional. When they give you the mirror at the end to look at yourself, you are 98% positive they didnt even need to give it to you because they always do a great job. Make sure to stop and ask for Geno, hes been my barber for 4 years now and hes never let me down.

Been going here for a couple years now. I wont have anybody else cut my hair. I will go a month without a cut if I cant go here. Atmosphere is good. Cool Barbers, sports or something good on the TVs. All around good spot

Great barbershop. Ya have to make an appointment for the most part because that are always busy. Treat you like you are part of the family. Full service barbers. Walkinshaw welcome but you have to be patient.

Went there today (6/20/17) due to the reviews I read about Guy. Was not impressed. Told him I wanted your standard messy hair skater style cut. Walked out looking like the hair style he had, all sticking straight up in a line like I got electrocuted. Never told him to do that. He said not to worry it will look the way you want when you style it. So, I asked if he could not style it the way he did his own hair and just do it the way I wanted. Said no, maybe next time. Nice guy, just doesnt listen to his customers at all. Does his own thing. Which is a problem. Also, cash only at this place. Had to walk across the street to an ATM. Side note, got home to wash out the hair and see what he did. Im going to have to schedule a touch up somewhere tomorrow. This is easily the worst haircut Ive ever had. I cant go to work like this lol.

The wait was so long it was awful! Then when this barber finally cut my sons hair, he was more interested in talking to me and payed 0 attention to my little boy. So unpleasant and unprofessional, never going back!

I should have read some of the reviews before going in. If I had I wouldnt have found out the hard way what so many others already knew. This place has the worst customer service. Walked in to be completely ignored. So I thought I just needed to sit down awhile and wait. After waiting nearly 30 minutes without being acknowledged and seeing more customers walk in who were obviously previous clients it became apparent to me that my business was not wanted or needed. What a waste of time...

Walked in, 5 barbers, not a single hello or greeting.Waited 10 minutes, 2 other customers walk in and sit down. Not one of the barbers asks if I have an appointment, or if I would like to make one. Wait another 10 minutes, rinse and repeat.Apparently this place is great if youre friends or an established clientel. Otherwise be prepared for an uncomfortable and awkward starefest.

This place is a joke i had an appointment for my 18 months old son at 10am .then we got there and after waiting for guy the barber to finish another guy , he came over and told us to wait because he was gonna do another dude i had my little son in my arms desperate, scared ,crying ,up set this the way little kids like this get at places like a barber shop. The barber didnt care he was so rude. We had to leave because my son couldnt take the wait. I will never comeback to this place plenty of rude and ignorant people

The guys here talk way too loud, play around & joke too much, talk and remark behind their clients back when they leave the Barber shop smh!
