Back in November ish 2020, I had a small stray appear at my door. Kept wanting to come in. I wasnt able to give her a home, due to my situation and my then current large male cat. But I did make sure to create shelter for her, and fed her everyday. I contacted many groups asking for help, to please take her in. FAT Katz was the only one to actually respond. I am forever grateful for their professionalism and their loving nature. The day they came to pick her up, we found out she had kittens (My cats no doubt). They took her and the kittens in, and provided them a beautiful home. (Not long after my boy went missing, he never came home) With this info, is why I greatly appreciate the foster. They found out about my boy, and have kept in contact with me, showing me pictures of his kittens, and letting me know how they are doing. I can never put into words the feels I get from them being so supportive, understanding and loving. I will forever be thankful and feel blessed for all that foster has done for me. And will continue to support them however I can. Thank you. Yall are the best and most caring souls I have ever come across. Bless yall...(Picture of my beautiful boy Jax included)

I adopted a handsome, well mannered, adorably loveable F.A.T. Kat several years ago. It was the most awesome experience!!! My kitty, Miles, continues to bring me an entertaining personality everyday!!! I would and plan on adopting from F.A.T. Katz in the future. They love each kitty they rescue and always make sure they go to good homes. Love F.A.T. Katz!!!

I love how FAT Katz does business. As an adopter and foster, I know what they do to care for their rescued kitties who are sick, injured, and abandoned. Every dollar and tons of compassion go into the kitties they rescue from high kill shelters, the streets, and other untenable situations. The kitties come first. Period.Thank you, FAT Katz, for so carefully matching kitties with approved adopters. Thank you for the long hours and dollars you invest to make sure your kitties are in as excellent health as possible before adoption, even when it takes a long time and a lot of donated dollars to do so.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Once you see that outrageous adoption application you will realize that the woman that runs this place is a lunatic... the official crazy cat lady that you always read about. WHY does she need to know how much money you make? A lot of that personal information? You are supposed to be adopting a cat... am I right? That means shes SELLING your personal information. YES!! The crazy cat lady does exist. She does exist. Not only does she exist, but if you get a cat from her.. its never YOURS!! If you sign her RIDICULOUS contract.. she still OWNS YOUR CAT!! YES!! She has it chipped so its HERS!! Now tell me.. is that crazy?? Shes out of her mind. Go to your local Humane Society and get a loving cat... run away from her as fast as you can

I am a long-time volunteer with this wonderful organization. As a foster, I have always had all questions answered and needs fulfilled for my foster cats. Medical care is never refused or corners cut. I also donate my photography services to help the foster cats put their best foot forward. The all-volunteer team at Fat Katz does their very best to place cats in the best forever homes possible. Here are a few of my foster kitties; all rescued from high-kill shelters. I give Fat Katz an A+

I have adopted two wonderful kitties from FAT Katz (three years ago) and have periodically helped where I could. This organization goes above and beyond to take care of their cats and kittens in their care. The volunteers and president of this organization have been nothing short of above reproach in their decisions on matching cats/kittens to appropriate families and working with their volunteers. First and foremost, their concern is the health, well-being, and long-term future of the cats, and I appreciate knowing that all of their kitties are going to appropriate homes.

I love that all their cats are in foster homes and the fosters write descriptions of the cat’s personality. That way you can narrow the choices to what fits your own family. They responded quickly to the phone message I left and arranged for us to meet several pairs of cats, since we wanted to adopt two. The foster parents were so kind and helpful and we came home with two darling boys. This organization goes to a major amount of effort to save cats and to find you the cats that fit your home. Excellent experience!!

What theyre doing is amazing. I didnt adopt, but I was helping a foster and took one of the cats for medical treatment. They were busy, but were kind enough not to tarry and led me through the process efficiently.

One of the finest feline rescues in Albuquerque with extraordinarily compassionate and knowledgeable volunteers who are committed to feline welfare and stewardship, and are superb at fostering lifelong love matches. They are particular about adoption applications, which makes a lot of sense considering the immense investments of love, time, and money which go into every feline life they save. When you adopt from FAT Katz, you become a part of a large family of ailurophiles who are 100% there for you and your furkids. When searching for a furry soulmate, I recommend FAT Katz without reservation.

They are a wonderful rescue for the people that say that they are horrible and calling names is not appropriate. If u have a problem it was with your application not with the rescue. So if you read those rude reviews that is not what this rescue is about. They are about finding the best kitties in the world wonderful homes. So if they feel that u are not a great fit then it is what they decided for the cats best interest. So please if you are interested in looking for a cat or a kitten give this rescue a chance to help u find the perfect fit. 🐈🐈

Great customer service. Jen and her staff were helpful, informative, and sincere to my son and I.Thank you for your time. Making sure a cat would be a good fit to our family and providing specific detail to each cats personality was incredible, unlike other places where money and not knowing the cat was the type of business being facilitated (Lomas). We are still searching and definitely will keep Fat Catz on top of our list.

Condescending, rude and unwilling to follow the process stated on their own application. Feel sorry for the cats in their care. It appears the owner spends more time with Google reviews than processing applications and actually placing cats in a good home.

We adopted our beloved Koralina from FAT Katz almost a year ago, and we loved the experience.Occasionally Ill still get an email asking how she is doing, and that really lets me know that they truly care about their cats. When I first found Koralina on petfinder, I contacted FAT Katz, and was promptly sent to her foster mom, who sent me countless photos of Koralina, asked me a lot of questions about us as a family, and what we were looking for in a cat. They also kept in touch with us the entire time until we were able to make the drive to pick her up.All in all, I would definitely recommend this organization. They really do care about their cats, and chances are if they deny your application its because they are not 100% convinced you would make a good home for their cat.

Tried to adopt male cat through Fat Katz via Boofys pet store. Our application was rejected with no explanation as to why. Weve watched this sweet baby go unadopted for months, and upon attempt, a very good family was overlooked. Rude, impersonal. Agree with previous review - Its no wonder they have so many cats without homes. Horrible and sad.No, I did not write your referenced letter. But am surprised to have such a quick response to a complaint, versus a quick response to an adoption. Check your ego.Yes, I am quite sure. Continue in this libelous manner and I will not hesitate to act on it.My middle name is Rachelle, you ignoramus.

So lets start with how volunteering has changed not just mine but the lives of 53 kitties that have been rescued through F.A.T Katz. Of those 53 kitties 24 were female and if 1 unspayed female can produce 180 kittens in her lifetime, then 24 unspayed kitties would have been 4,320 unaltered cats out in the environment. We prevented that from happening, all the foster I have had with exception of 3 that adopted myself and roommate and 7 that passed and 4 looking for their furever humans, have Been adopted to loving homes. Changing my life was having the opportunity to be apart of a system that helps unwanted cats and kittens from High Kill SHELTERS. It has also given me opportunities to get involved with not just fostering, but also expanding my potential abilities to updating Social Media accounts for F.K. Also participating in the cat show, providing assistance for fundraising activities. You dont have to just Foster you can always volunteer in different areas of the rescue. Come in one day and check it out, it might be something you would really like to have fun with
