I have had clear skin my whole life until about a year ago, when I suddenly started to get aggressive cystic acne and I tried everything to get rid of it, but it wouldn’t go away. After trying many doctors and received no answers, I did some research and found Skin Forensics that had great reviews. I came to Katerina and immediately she knew the reason behind my sudden breakouts. I became sensitive to laundry detergent. Here I was, washing my pillow cases thinking that is the problem, but it was the detergent I was washing them with! During the appointment, she did a thorough job with extractions and she recommended Charlie’s Soap for laundry detergent, which I immediately bought. After 2 weeks, my acne started to go away and now I am back to clear skin. She has also been educating me about why my skin has become so sensitive all of a sudden and what are some best practices and habits that will help me along the way. I am so happy I came to Katerina, because she takes her time and truly cares about your skin, whereas other places just want your money. This is the only place I will get my facials now. She is my go to for any skin related questions.

I had a truly wonderful experience here. Katerina covers all of the bases assessing the surface of the skin as well as nutritional information that could improve the quality of the skin. My skin was super congested coming out of winter with a poor moisturizing routine so I chose to try the microdermabrasion facial. The results were great! My skin was refreshed, glowing, and pores were visibly smaller afterward. She is excellent with extractions. Additionally, what really stood out was Katerinas pursuit of skincare knowledge and research of products and ingredients. Shes very scientific in her approach and chooses to apply products that work in tandem to support the bodys natural functions. My skin feels much healthier now, thank you!

Omg where do I start ! Since puberty, I struggled with acne and then into my mid twenties I was still struggling with acne. It came to a point where I needed to do something about it instead of using EVERY over the counter product so I made an appointment with Katerina. Let me say it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Katerina is very professional and personable. She really helped me understand my skin and understand why the products I was using weren’t working. She really broke down my dietary issues and the ingredients in my every day products. My skin before seeing her would have painful pimples and a lot I mean a lot of scarring and redness. I did a few sessions of extractions and facials and then went on to chemical peels to help with the scarring. My face today has smaller pores, less redness and has tremendously improved in texture. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Katerina! I can’t thank her enough!!

I used to travel to Manhattan for an authentic deep cleansing facial with pore extractions. Now that I have found Katrina, I can get a fantastic treatment right in Albany. She has very delicate fingers and does a thorough extraction process that leaves my skin clear and glowing. Ive also had the Mandeli peel and now my skin is brighter and clearer than before. I especially enjoy the facial massage she includes with eucalyptus scented steam and hot towels. I highly recommend her service.

Very clean and professional! She even finished my wax earlier than the given appointment time, so she spent a few minutes treating ingrown hairs for free! I was very pleased with the experience. Surprisingly, the hard wax was less painful than the sugar wax process (which I had been using for 2 years). Plus results lasted longer!!

I first came to Katerina with a lot of blemishes under my skin. The small ones that you can’t get out on your own. Not only did she take care of it for me but she provided me with knowledge about my skin so that it wouldn’t happen again. She is so sweet and provides an amazing comfortable experience. Katerina is the bomb!! Surprisingly, my fiancé told me to go see her after having a microdermabrasion (I know, shocker.. a guy that is open to taking care of his skin). Katerina is lovely! Not only had she made my initiation into bikini waxing (relatively) painless, I can honestly say that after a few rounds of facials my skin has never been better. This is no small feat, as my skin has always been a difficult thing to get a handle on.
