Drove 80 miles to get a van from them, it was as advertised and better in fact. Staff was great and I would recommend this place as honest and a great company.

I showed up to grab one little part that would have taken me 5 minutes to grab during their open hours and they refused to let me even look. Its been a couple years since I went and I had no problems before but I would never frequent again given the choice. It was 15 minutes before close not 5 minutes and I would have had plenty of time to grab it. 0 out of 10 would not recommend

Had a part shipped and its already a week late wont be in till next week other than the speediness and communication problem I mean their pretty alright nice people dont have to wear a mask in the building

Great place to find used parts for your rig. Only drawback is the sheer size of the place when trying to find your Donor vehicle...sometimes its where they told you it was and sometimes they have moved it somewhere else but staff is there to help you. Highly recommend !

It is a place of exceptional customer service, product availability and with multiple locations it is a very smooth and beneficial consumer experience. I can say this with high confidence because not only were they friendly but they have multiple locations in which they had parts for my Lexus GS300 when no one else in town, let alone the entire state of Oregon, actually had. The phone system is broken horrible. Good luck getting someone on the phone to talk to you. No exaggeration, I wasted a good 45 minutes getting tossed to this guys voicemail.... his voice-mail box was full. He read off a number to text him, but after calling back a half dozen times I was finally able to figure it out (because he spoke so fast it was impossible to copy down and missing a number). I finally reached a person after being on hold for another 12 minutes at their main number. The gentleman was extremely rude from the start (a Mario in Seattle). Lots of dramatic sighs in the background and other rude behavior. If I would have overheard that conversation at my place of business, I would have let him go on the spot He cut me off multiple times as I tried to explain the situation and I had to actually demand to be allowed to finish my sentence. I was *told* to follow a specific procedure by the local store that I physically visited a few days ago. This behavior is completely unacceptable for ANY business. Get a phone tree system that works if you rely on that, and dont employ kids with attitude that think they know everything when that is far from the truth. Belittling the customer is never a good business tactic. If there was anywhere else to go for parts I would In a second. On a positive note, The staff at the Corvallis, OR location were some of the nicest people in person. So this doesnt hold true for all locations. I would highly suggest avoiding calling this place. If you need something go in to a physical shop and make arrangements there.

We ordered a part and was told we could pick it up in a few days, two weeks later and theyve lost the part and have our money for it. No phone calls returned or anything. May want to find a different place to get your parts. Review will stay the same till I get my money or the part or maybe even a phone call from them. That would be a gracious courtesy.

Stay away! Bought an engine from here and I was still charged (by another company to install) to replace the part that came with the engine that was supposed to be good. This is the 2nd engine in less than 2 years that was faulty. I would not recommend B & R to anyone!

My part I ordered was quick correct very friendly

I called and wanted to purchase a used engine. I searched online and found one they were advertising for $575. I called and was told it was available but for $615. I mentioned that online it said $575, so they honored that price. I asked if it was ready for pickup and where. Was told Albany and was ready. I drove for nearly 3 hours to get it, when i got there i was told it was still in the vehicle. I asked if they had another one, they did not. So i asked how long it would take to pull it because i drove for 3 hours to get it. I was told it would take about a week! WASTED MY TIME, GAS, AND MONEY.

Its a salvage yard for car parts that are used. The staff are usually pretty helpful and its a kool place for guys who love cars to go and be a guy except they dont serve beer.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS!!!Bought a used engine with warranty that was supposed to be tested and good. After spending several thousands to have the shop put it in just to find out it was a bad engine with 10+ permanent codes indicating several components disfunctioning. Now Im stuck with 2 bad engines!! When confronted they basically told me they could do nothing unless I pay another grand to get the engine out and pay transportation costs to bring it back to them. Thats a loss of $4000 just for putting my trust into them! More than twice the engines cost. Ill make sure neither me nor any of my employees(600+) never gets nowhere near this business again!!

Couldnt understand the guy on the phone! He had me on speaker with a ton of background noise and talked really fast! Not sure if I got quoted for the part I actually needed or not! Ended up getting it from someone else.

Ordered a part for a customer back in June. Arrived damaged. Contacted Rodney Ruggles ( who was the person I dealt with), he promised to give me a credit. I called back and even sent emails. Hes been ignoring me since then. Wont return my calls or emails. Even messages left for him with other people that work there but still doesnt contact me back.

We resontley got a jack for a scion . Called around to find out b and r were one of the only ones to have it beside the dealer. Got a good price for it also it looked like new and they even greased it for us.Also in the past I bought a ford escort transmission I have put many miles runs like new not one problem with it.They also have really good customer service unlike some of the wrecking yards I have been to in the past.In conclusion you should go with them because they sell great parts .And they check their parts before they sell them to you. And they have great customer service.

I work with Levi Eiler, and I swear he must live there! He is always available to take my order, and regularly catches Grade B parts before they are shipped. He is always looking out for my best interests - to the point Im beginning to think Im his only customer. Best prices on the market. Friendly drivers. Good staff. They delivered a window to me but broke it and didn’t even call me back to follow up, I had to call them. Then they took longer than they said to refund me because they had no more windows for my car. Easily the worst experience I’ve had with any company.

I spoke with Corey at the Albany B&R location and he was very helpful and pleasant to work with. 5 stars for Corey!!!! Upon walking into the central point B&R/Caveman location I became very disappointed with the customer service offered by one of their younger employees (Id use his name but, he never gave it). He wouldnt allow myself and my pregnant wife to take a quick look at the vehicle but instead insisted on sternly asking what do you want man? I wanted to go view the parts on the truck to see if there was anything worth purchasing. If Corey worked at the central point location off of Vilas there would have been a sale today, That dude needs a pay raise... his customer service skills are top notch.... The other gentleman needs to find a new job.

In my experience you have a 50/50 shot of a junkyard part working correctly . I needed a part for my truck and they gladly shipped it up from Eugene to Albany . Unfortunately it didnt work , I just called and there was no issue on returning it and they are sending another one up from Medford . I am a mobile mechanic, a client needed a transmission for her car. We shopped around and weighed out her options. B&R had the lowest mileage used tranny, but definitely not the cheapest. We were told it would be here Tuesday, on Tuesday we were told it would be here Friday, then on Friday we were told it would here Tuesday again. Now that its Tuesday Fingers crossed. I will not be using this company ever again.

Was going to the Albany location to pick up a part that was paid for by a customer. And ready for pick up. Phone many times and and continuously patched over the voicemail, which they never returned. Google show their address which I had a question about. Arrived on location at closing time and said they were patched out of the system. And unable to release the part. If they would’ve answered the phone I would’ve had no problem finding your location with directions with the Corvallis yard was more than happy to give me. Ive been here many times over the years. Used to spend my Saturday mornings browsing for parts. I hadnt been in for a couple years because I moved away, but visited recently. The guy at the desk was helpful, although not particularly friendly. I was disappointed that even though I was there well before closing (5:00), he said they couldnt help me because the yard closed 5 minutes earlier, at 4:30. Didnt get my parts there because I was just passing through and couldnt go back the next day.

My personal experience with B & R auto wrecking in Albany has been a very positive one. First with Adam for several years, and for the last few years with Justin. I have purchased many transmissions, front and rear differentials, body portions, engines, and all kinds of automotive parts. Any time there was a mix-up or a non-acceptable part, the problem was quickly resolved with competence , and courtesy. I keep in mind that I am buying used parts and internal condition is not always evident until the item has been disassembled or installed. I feel the price has always been fair.

Had mechanic get a motor had to return every single motor now on the 4th motor still havent heard back from the mechanic and we dont even sit there know if the Ford Motors ever going to work for my truck Ive been without a truck for a month and plus when you aint go to sit there and call them its like you wait on the phone forever when they should sit there and have a secretary answering the telephone instead of sitting there waiting to answer the phone when they feel like it when you need a part and for all you know you might be talking to somebody in New York when you live in Oregon wake up and get a secretary

First time going to a wrecking yard, they where helpful and polite. Even though they didnt have the part I needed

Called on Wednesday morning to order a part we desperately needed. They where by far the cheapest with the part 1 day away. They required payment up front before shipping the part from another location. The next day the wrong part shows up, and they can have the right one on Monday. Friday afternoon I call just to verify they got everything straightened out and and they informed me they do not even have the part I needed Wednesday and was expecting Thursday. Had I not called Friday afternoon Im sure I wouldnt have found this out until Monday! Cost me 3 days down time plus $127 to get the part overnighted (because I needed it days ago) from a supplier that did have the right part. This was the first and last time our company will call B&R!!!

Very rude and when I asked how much for a 20 light bar on a wrecked truck I was told $100. I looked it up and found the exact light, a litebar 20 for $28 on Amazon and it was new. When I showed then that it was the same and how it was a very off brand bar they said ok then $50. I will never go back there and will keep going to pick a part right down the road

Engine/transmission buyers beware !!!!!!! They will not refund your money even if they dont have the item you need !!!! I purchased a engine for my 97 Dodge Dakota, $1250. First engine was bad, returned for a second engine, no problems getting the exchange, second engine also was bad, called store and they didnt have another engine available (basically it was sorry about your luck) convinced them to refund $ 500 and found a good engine elsewhere, the manager said he would work with me on the remaining money they had of mine, than no return calls, and always unavailable when calling so i ended up with no yard credit or refund on the remaining amount, so Im out $750 plus they got all 3 engines as cores, so Im out the additional $$ for those, I work hard for my money as everyone else does and if you dont have the product to sell be fair and refund the money as you yourself would expect anywhere else you shop, I hope the owner of B&R reads this review and understands what is happening to the reputation of the company that he and his family have worked so hard to build, sad that after at least 10 years of doing business with this company greed has stepped in to run off another longtime customer...... You want to keep your longtime customers and or new customers ...Do whats right !!!!!
