Jan, Sandy, and the team at Chenoweth are the absolute best at weddings and events! I felt stress-free the whole process because they took care of literally everything. Especially being a 2020 bride, they accommodated two date changes and were so kind every step of the way.This venue has full catering/bar services, linens, glassware and flatware, decorations you can use, and even their own photo booth in house (that is so much cheaper than using an outside vendor). They set up and clean up (you just have to drop off your decorations and tell them where to put them), and take care of anything you may need day of! It is a beautiful, impeccably maintained venue and very easy to get to from all the major cities in the area. The food is delicious and the entire staff is so friendly!I agree with the other reviews, I cannot say enough good things about Chenoweth and how perfect they made our wedding day!

This place is incredibly beautiful. Perfect for a wedding 😍 my mind was blown. The set up was beautiful and there is so much space. Beautiful dance floor. Clean bathrooms. Warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place for events.

This golf course could really be something, but Ive never seen it as rough as it was this past week-end. Some fairways with large dead grass spots, chewed up tee boxes, several greens with some significant damage. Not sure if they just had a rough summer or if things are headed down hill. Ironically, for all the talk of slow play, the pace was fine. Hopefully, they turn it around as the course sits on a fun piece of property.

3 hours for 9 holes. We had 7 carts stacked up on hole 5 after 1.5 hours. Called the course to ask a ranger to enforce pace of play. We ended up skipping 2 holes to get in front. Course is in decent condition

Love the course. Nice and well kept. The only issue I’ve had is there are big groups golfing at times and it really holds up the course. This has happened every time for me because people aren’t moving at the pace needed to keep the start times separated.

Jan is amazing! (So is Sandy) they went above and beyond every step of the way for our wedding. The venue is gorgeous. The staff is wonderful! The Chef is very talented and accommodated some guests with vegan diets. I cant say enough great things!

Honestly, the only good thing I have to say about this course is it could be really nice. It has a cool layout, interesting greens and a nice clubhouse. But other than that, it was complete trash. Every tee box and fairway was destroyed. And the greens were way too soft. The tee boxes looked like they were aerated three years ago and never healed. They let too many people out causing two (sometimes three!) groups to pile up on some tee boxes. My advice to the super? Install better drainage systems, fix the tee boxes and fairways and firm up the greens. Then move on to cutting down trees and fixing bunkers. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere until they give the course the care and attention it deserves.

Always a fun track I only hit driver on one hole #7 on the front 9 its tight if you have a 225 yd down the middle club youll score well when you make the turn be ready to rip that driver 10. 11 14 18 if you are a good iron player leave your driver in the car I only hit driver 5 times the greens are fantastic hold well and putt true with no bumps

Great course well kept, watch out for #9 it likes to eat balls.

I attended a wedding reception today at Chenoweth Banquet facility. This event fell in the midst of COVID-19 with cases surging in Summit County. I was beyond impressed with everything the facility and staff did to provide a wonderful event while maintaining health standards. I felt incredibly safe while there and all the staff went the extra mile to keep us distanced and follow all appropriate guidelines.Beyond that, the room was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning an event. It was obvious throughout the night the staff and management truly care about their guests. Thank you to everyone at Chenoweth for a fantastic experience!

Play golf there a few times a month. My wife and I got married there 5 years ago.

My husband and I got married here September 2019. The venue was beautiful! Food was amazing, and drinks were great! The best part of having our wedding here was Jan and her team! They are so organized, professional, and excel at making the bride feel comfortable. Jan took care of quite literally every single thing a bride could stress about with a positive fun attitude. Everything was perfect!

We were more than pleased with Chenoweth Banquet Hall for our wedding reception! They have a large space available with a perfect set up with the dance floor in the middle of the room. The food was delicious and all the people working the event were amazing to say the least including the bartender! Jan, the event coordinator at Chenoweth helped us through the entire process and never left any detail out. She had ideas as well as Darla and then if we had an idea, they immediately ran with it and did everything they could to make sure that our night was perfect and what WE want. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a reception venue. One amazing thing that I loved was that they have a lot of decor that you can use if you want. Also, we were able to drop off all the decorations we had and then do a walk through a couple days before the wedding and THEY SET IT ALL UP AND TEAR IT ALL DOWN! I mean, what more could a bride ask for?? They do a tasting so that you know what your ordering for your guests too! Thank you Jan and the rest of the staff at Chenoweth for making our day and night unbelievable :)

Nice place I played horrible but the motorcycles made up for that.

Great layout. Cart paths are a little deteriorated. Front nine is tight with a lot of problems if you’re not hitting it straight, not that long.Back nine is longer. Greens are great. Both number 9 and 18 are great finishing holes over water.Nice horseshoe bar to relax and drink. Very friendly personnel.

Nice little golf course, well maintained and tough greens. Only reason I give it a 3 star rating is because of the social distancing guidelines they have set in place. First there are no dividers in the cart. The only way you can have your own cart is to pay an extra $5 for 9 holes or $10 if you play 18! As much as you pay you would think they could afford some type of cart divider. And how are you making a profit off a pandemic and charging customers for something they have already payed for...a cart! Bad business.

Two 6somes holding up the course. I called the ranger & hes a no show. Its taken an hour to play holes 1 & 2. Their are 3 groups waiting on every tee. No its not an outing, just a Saturday afternoon. Its an absolute joke. Our 4some & the 2some are driving off now & willNEVER RETURN !! Dont WASTE THE MONEY !!

Beautiful venue! We attended a wedding reception. The room is spacious, even with 30 tables there was plenty of walking space. It has a good size dance floor. I am not sure if the DJ was part of the package, he was outstanding!The buffet was delicious and plentiful.They have a photo booth (not an outside company).For a smaller group there is a room divider.The wedding party had some pictures taken by a pond on the golf course.I think this facility is a hidden gem!

Played for the first time on 8.19.18. And was very impressed with the course. Very tight and narrow fairways that will test your driving accuracy on almost every hole. The greens were hit or miss as far as being consistent, some were super fast and some you were leaving putts way short. I wish the tee box would give more info on the distance to water hazards but all in all a very nice course and would played it again with reasonable prices.

Chenoweth is good Course. This time of year(fall) makes it difficult to get a good handle on how the course plays. There’s some dogleg lefts and dogleg rights. Some of the doglegs take you up gentle inclines that test your choice of club. Holes 9 and 18 finish over nice size pond so be extremely careful. If you can fade the ball you’ll be immensely happy. Fairways are a premium, try to stay there. The greens were just areated and they’re extremely slow. At least they give you break on price for that inconvenience.The clubhouse has a snack bar and drinks. For those ready for something bigger this course has the facilities to handle good parties.As near as I could tell there’s no strict dress code, but don’t try cutoffs and tank tops. It’s still golf. The cart paths are very bumpy, take your time and don’t throw your partner out the cart. Oh yes, if you’re adverse to walking on hills to find your ball you are out of luck. The hills will test your leg strength so be prepared. There’s a fair amount of sand traps and they look to be well drained and sanded. Good luck.

We had our wedding and reception at Chenoweth on March 23, 2019, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was. Jan Todd was so great to work with. She and Darla are super organized, and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Any requests we had were answered with a cheerful yes, and they were very accommodating and responsive any time I had questions. The facility is beautiful and Jan’s team is very on top of things, often offering suggestions about things I hadn’t even thought of yet. Through all the usual stress of a wedding, Jan and her team had me feeling completely confident that the event would run smoothly - and it did! We were truly able to enjoy our wedding and reception without worrying about any details during the event.Chenoweth is a beautiful facility, perfect for weddings and receptions. They have space available for the wedding party to get ready, and there is a gazebo and lake outside where pictures can be taken. We had a sunny day so were able to get some photos outside, even in March. Chenoweth was able to provide almost all of the decorations. They have a wide selection of table cloths, napkins, centerpieces, cake stands, table numbers and other wedding decorations available for use, and we were able to select lovely decorations from their inventory. The only additional decorations we secured were chair covers and sashes. The food was delicious and prepared on site, and again they were happy to accommodate any special requests we had. We were even able to have our rehearsal dinner there! They also work to accommodate your wedding budget. I highly recommend Chenoweth for your wedding – you will so enjoy working with Jan throughout the planning process and the actual event. Thank you Jan and the entire team for making our wedding and reception such a beautiful and special day for our family!

Coarse was is nice condition. The greens were rolling very well. We had another great day of golf. Were looking forward to playing Chenoweth again very soon.

Horrific customer service experience. Guy in the shop was great, everyone else was extremely disrespectful after we spent a lot of money to play. Never coming back. Pick somewhere else to golf if you want to have a good time.

Going to have our 60 year High School reunion here. Manager seemed very nice. Hope it works out. It did work out.The staff went out of their way to make a great evening for everyone. The food and service was great. THANK YOU CHENOWETH STAFF.

They do not space out their tee times at all. 3 groups sitting here waiting to play a hole. $50 bucks to play 1 hole in 35 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous

Long challenging holes, some impossible for beginners but good exercise climbing hills and rough terrain. Good senior weekly rates.

We were at our grandsons wedding reception on Saturday, I couldnt say enough about how nice it was. Chenoweth did a great job and the food was exceptionally good, and the staff were very efficient and helpful. We would recommend them anytime.

Cheap fun golf in an excellent neighborhood. No issues but only 3 starts because its not a 5 star resort style coarse its a 3 star resort kind of course.

Interesting course.However, it is a little bit too lush for the average golfer. The rough today was wet and a good 4 inches in some spots. The green speeds were inconsistent.Any dry month would make this course better for the average public course player.Again, public courses dont need rough so long that you spend half your time looking for everyones golf balls. Both of my weekly playing partners expressed no desire to return even at a reasonable $28 green fee.

A nice course, but they need to cut the rough lower to speed up play. The mower that we saw cutting wasnt taking anything off! They also put everyone off the back, but then stuck people in between when we made the turn😕 We then had to wait on every shot of our 2nd 9. On top of that, there was a single out there jumping around holes that they didnt do anything about. May or may not go back.

Greens decent, overall solid course. No ball cleaners, trash cans or anything on the entire 18 hole course. We had to skip a hole to get around a very ignorant 4-some moving slow due to poor play and taking time to fish balls out of the lake on 9.

My sister got married here. The banquet hall was beautiful. I wasnt impressed with the bar upstairs for the golfers or the little crappy patio thing they had. The outdoor area where she got married was not very big it was literally on the side of the building with a road that lot of vehicles went up and down. Way too many suvillian houses taking over the area. I just dont think it looked that classy.You can add flowers to anything I guess.

Course is always green and and always in great shape. 16 for a morning tee time on golf now is nearly unbeatable for 18 and a cart.

Nice course. Play there often. Today the starter chewed us out because 2 of our foursome didnt show up! Its October. You would think they would want as much play as possible! There are a dozen courses within 15 minutes of Chenowith. With this kind of attitude we will be playing elsewhere. What a jerk! We complained at the desk inside and the gentleman at the desk agreed with us!

Nice little course not simple but not hard either decent challenge. I play in a charity outing there every year it can handel a large group easily.

Hello everyone, I have worked as a groundskeeper here for the past 3 years and its a great place to work. Chenoweth is an 18 hole public golf course thats challenging, but not so that it isnt a good time. Its located in the city of Green an outskirt of Akron, Ohio. We are very busy when weather permits. After golf, come into our remodeled clubhouse for a beverage and sandwich. The company is always upbeat and eager to tell you a story. The bartenders are second to none with a great deal of experience and personalities to match.If all of this isnt enough, book out out banquit hall which is elegent, and comforting at great prices. We cater to many weddings there annually, including one coming up in November to my favorite girl in the world, my beautifull daughter Amanda and her awesome fiance, Joe. All of this and more at a convenient location with very fair pricing. Give them a shot. Their given a 4/5 stars, which is pretty cool , anyway you look at it. Cheers, Jim Farkas

Course could use a touch better maintenance. Course itself was very middle of the road as far as challenge goes. Our golf cart was terrible and the brakes didnt work. Overall not a bad course worth a shot.
