The studio space is big, there are a lot of cool weapons, and Mr. Latecki (master instructor) has a diligent attitude towards teaching martial arts. He loves to joke around but is serious with actually teaching the material. He is very knowledgeable in Chinese martial arts and studied under one of the best masters in China. He recognizes talent and is open to teaching anything that he knows. Martial arts, maintaining a good attitude, general life lessons, all while giving some interesting driving metaphors. Mr. Latecki has dedicated students from 5 to 50 years old (probably some even older).I came to learn some self-defense and Chinese martial arts, and I was not disappointed. There have been opportunities to perform, compete, and even participate in a martial arts movie. This is my favorite activity because I can not only build up physical strength, but also relax and have fun every class.P.S.: the weapons hanging from the walls are super cool

Amazing place and instructor. The other students are nice and in general the people are kind. Mr. Latecki is a great person to learn fun. I have been going there for almost 6 years. I still am having so much fun and learning many amazing things. Definitely a good recommendation to anyone wanting to do martial arts.

My children both studied under Narcyz and Eva from kindergarten until they left for college. The Lateckis’ dedication to their students is second to none. In addition to the skills taught, the self confidence, leadership and mentoring skills my children gained are truly amazing.

I have studied martial arts since I was eight years old. I knew of Chinese Martial Arts since 1998. When my son was old enough, I took him to the only person that I wanted teaching the martial way and that is Narcyz and Eva. I am particular. Narcyz is world class and he is in our backyard. His depth and the price he paid in effort and pain to learn his craft is rare. Martial arts teachers DO NOT come through the same systems as they did in the past. So many are tournament Cobra Kai heroes which focus on the sport aspect. When someone diminishes the human development aspect of a martial art and focuses on the external then they are teaching people to be dysfunctional. True martial artists help people evolve to be the best they can be. That is Chinese Martial Arts.

I attended CMA from the time I was 8 years old until I was 18 and left town to attend college. I absolutely loved my time at this school and highly recommend it! The Kung-Fu classes are fun and well rounded in their material, and provide excellent training. My time at this school also taught me core values and life lessons including respect, kindness, a drive to learn, strong work ethic, and the ability to set a goal and to strive for it. I miss attending these classes! I am very grateful for my time there.

My son is in the Young Tigers class now, and its amazing to see how serious and motivated he is about it. Hes an orange belt now, and determined to get his black belt someday. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to get into martial arts

Both my kids have been studying martial arts with Narcyz for several years and they love his classes so much. They have learned a lot from their master Narcyz and always are eager to come to his classes. Narcyz has been such a wonderful master for not only teaching kids the techniques but also the spirits of the martial arts- hardworking, persistence, teamwork, respect and appreciation. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful martial art master nearby.

I started studying at CMA after a series of sports related injuries that limited my activities and reduced my quality of life. I’ve been a student at CMA for five years and credit the Tai Chi I practice there for my increased flexibility, improved balance, reduced chance of injury and significantly better overall health. The school has a welcoming, family friendly atmosphere. Master Latecki’s dedication to his craft, willingness to share his knowledge, and ability to teach are second to none. He provides a tremendous amount of individual instruction during the adult class and supports students desires to study areas of specific interest. This is not one size fits all instruction. Based on my observations, the children’s classes are also excellent. I strongly recommend CMA and Master Latecki for anyone looking to study traditional Chinese martial arts.

I have been a student at Chinese Martial Arts - Division of Athletic Balance for almost 6 years now, starting as a beginner in my early 40s, with Kung Fu (never too late to start 😊) and added Tai Chi to my routine the following year. CMA/Athletic Balance is a great place to learn and build confidence. The school has a fun, friendly, family atmosphere. Master Latecki is an extremely knowledgeable, well rounded, and very patient instructor with both kids and adults. Whether youve practiced other styles and want to develop new skills, or are just starting out as a beginner, Chinese Martial Arts - Division of Athletic Balance is a great place to study.

Athletic Balance Chinese Martial Arts is a school for true learning, whether your interests are Kung Fu, Tai Chi, self defense or weapons.Master Narcyz Latecki has devoted his life to continued learning and teaching martial arts. His students are encouraged to practice hard and compete in tournaments. Many of his students have competed around the country and abroad. I came from a Kung Fu school which was very close-minded in their teaching. He is very open minded to other martial art styles, we have many students with all kinds of training background. I still occasionally train with my long time Karate teacher, Narcyz encourages training no matter the style.I am proud to be a long time student and honored to call Narcyz my teacher.Brian DohertyThird degree black belt Kung Fu under Master Narcyz LateckiFirst degree black belt Karate under GM Nick Chamberland

Wonderful teacher, positive energy, great group of students. Athletic Balance is such a great place to practice Yang and Chen styles of Tai chi, and I am sure Kung fu as well, even though I haven’t tried it yet. It is a happy place and a refuge to me.

I’ve been a student at the school for almost 15 years. I came with limited manual dexterity, strength and balance issues due to the effects of a neurological disorder. I was looking for a way of working around these issues. I found that here. I started with Taijiquan and Qigong. Over time progressing to taking Kung Fu instruction. Under the patience guidance of the instructors I’ve come a long way in dealing with my physical issues. My experience here has made a big difference in my life.
