I like using this place, my doctor suggested because of the fact that they’re cheaper than the hospital. The first time was pretty bad I scheduled ahead and that wasn’t great there was 1 girl, so she didn’t check to see who made appointments to the walk-ins. I was ignored for 2 hrs. The last 2 times I just showed up at 745 and 1 and there was no wait. They hired more people so hopefully it keeps running smoothly.
Covidiot lab technician on hospital drive UNVACCINATED AND NOT WEARING MASK
I’ve used this place a couple of times over the years and my experience has been pretty much the same each time. Instructions can tend to be unclear or confusing, but my biggest complaint is the rude staff. The staff have consistently talked over me or started taking to someone else while I was still mid-sentence and with it being my turn to speak. The tone of the woman at the desk was very rude nor did the staff do anything to help with providing information regarding where to send lab orders etc.I would go elsewhere, I don’t intend to use this place again.
Let me preface this post with the comment below:Rose (the phlebotomist) is beyond exceptional. She is good at her job, i.e. customer service. She understands what it means to be in a service industry. She apologized profusely for being tardy, even though its 100% out of her control.//////Other than her, the customer service experience was awful, shambolic! A kiosk shouldnt be the first thing to greet you when you walk into a service building. Its ok to have a kiosk, but there should be a front desk staff. Then you wait, without knowing how long youll be waiting. Its absolutely unacceptable.Apparently Rose is doing the job for three, two phlebotomists and a front desk staff. The management obviously DOES NOT care about customer service, just profits – ignoring the fact that poor customer service = lost revenue. If your doc send you to this lab, ask him/ her to send you elsewhere.Rose: 10/10 recommendLab Corp, Abilene: 10/10 DO NOT Recommend!!!
Staff somewhat friendly, very clean place, did some labs and it turned out that they didn’t take all the correct labs cause I guess they don’t know how to read and I had to come back (drove 3 hours) for the correct labs. 😤 if I’m ever in the area I will probably find another place for labs ( not even an apology) March 2018
Ive been there quite a few times to have my blood drawn for medical tests. They do a good job of preventing bruising or pain. I usually go there as a result of medical tests I selected online thru companies like Walk-In Lab or Life Extension. In most cases there is very little if any wait.
Jody is the best. Its a one person office. She is helpful and kind. Jody is the receptionist, types in all the info, draws blood, collects urine for drug testing, and dealing with rude people that are in a hurry. She probably isnt paid enough to wear all those hats. Im a travel nurse and honestly, dont think they could pay me enough to do all that she does.
If i could give a place negative stars for customer service they would definitely get it. The lady working the front was very rude. I ended up getting my stuff back and leaving to go else where.
Outstanding performance. Jennifer is a godsend for people that are hard to stick. Always friendly, and very professional.
Very friendly, got me in and out within 15 minutes!
I went to this lab corp for employment. The lady at the front desk is also the one that did the drug test. She needs to pick another career or get training on customer service. I have never been to this location and was not aware that you have to check in by computer. She is more of a robot then a person, I dont think she likes her job at all.
Make sure you either DONT take ur kids(my daughter is 11) or you have someone to watch them. Otherwise they will NOT give you a drug screen.
Took my 9 month old to have a hemoglobin and serum lead drawn...heard the tech say A1c and corrected her and was told oh we know. Jump forward to 1 year check up at dr office and they ask if the lab ever had me come in for redraw because lab drew...can you guess...ding, ding, ding an A1c. When i told them i was never contacted by the lab got new lab slip and was told not to go back to labcorp. As if i needed that suggestion lol
Very friendly staff, super quick process as long as youre there early!
When this location opened, the 4th locale i have followed them to, I agree with 1 point, it was difficult finding it. I go every month, so, I think i have good timing, cuz, I am NOT A LUCKY PERSON. I rarely have to wait long at all (now watch that change! 🤔). However, when getting a FASTING BLOOD DRAW, it is a bit of a guessing game. I think many assume they dont open till 8am. I want to be helpful, but, not give away my lucky-timing. 😆 I think they have another phlebotomist who works, either morning or more, now, whose name i dont know. But, Jennifer, never gets in a tizzy regardless of the CROWD that might have gathered. She stays calm, professional, AND, doesnt try to, or make you feel like she is rushing you. I am a difficult stick, & only in my hand, but, she is rarely in need of a 2nd venipuncture. And, I TOTALLY BELIEVE, regardless of the possible wait-time, when YOU ARE the patient, she puts every ounce of her focus & attention on YOU!! She is serious, when it comes to her job. ALSO, considering all facts, she is responsible for: accurate and essentially so, paperwork(without that ALONE, could cause YOU A LOT MORE AGONIZING ISSUES, than, ANY wait in the office); keeping multiple vials, in correct tubes, labeled & perfect accuracy AGAIN!! SEE, with myself, i cannot get my prescription filled, unless, there is perfect accuracy, not just drawing blood, but, her speed, AND, accuracy, must be QUICK & CORRECT. Consider, all of the following must be (very often times) in a total of less than 24 hours... blood draw, then, it has to get to DALLAS, processed, results, distributed to 3 locations, then prescription filled (IF blood results say that it can be) then, Rx delivered to my house, (usually the very next day) well, LESS THAN 24 HOURS, after MY DRIVE OVER TO LAB CORP. AND, JUST A REMINDER, THAT, I AM ONLY 1/ONE PERSON FROM THE LONG LIST OF PEOPLE WHO PARADE THROUGH THEIR DOOR, FROM OPEN TO CLOSE. ALSO, still considering, THAT her, Jennifer, &/if someones helping, are literally RUNNING THE ENTIRE PLACE!!! If, she could DO, WHAT SHE HAD TRAINED IN, (totally forgot to finish before, there is a 60 hour Practicum @ REGIONAL, AND, AND, 60 MORE @ HENDRICK!! SO, IN TOTAL, YOU CAN SEE THAT, the classroom part is simple, Especially, ESPECIALLY WHEN COMPARED TO 120/ 1 HUNDRED AND 20/ 100 + 20/ are you grasping the quantity that is? LITERALLY, running, FROM HOT ROOM TO HOT ROOM, WITH SWEAT DRIPPING, TRYING TO REMEMBER THE FEW IMPORTANT THINGS THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM PATIENT TO PATIENT. LIKE: 1ST NIGHT, start with a 10 DAY OLD INFANT!!! AND, RUN BACK & FORTH FROM LAB, BETWEEN DRAWS, AND, FINISH WITH A COMATOSE OLD GUY... BACK to LAB CORP...If I had a room full of people in a hurry/hungry/ thirsty/annoyed by waiting for ME, I would never maintain the required peace & calm, as she treats you, once you are getting your blood tapped(lol); 1st LAB CORP employee from each location change, who has ever answered the phone; each person has often a different test (s), procedures; and, just precise, exact, AND legal perfection with a DRUG SCREENING. This multi-faceted series of tests, are often MORE, even, IMPORTANT than determining EMPLOYMENT; Lab Corp, in general, should, in my opinion, have someone else, a person who DOES EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE ACTUAL VARIETY OF T-E-S-T-S REQUIRING A PROFESSIONAL, TRAINED IN PHLEBOTOMY. (however, the portion of actual in the classroom BOOK, STUDY, TESTS, ETC part of training, is not very difficult, especially, if you are already a good CLASSROOM type learner, or, have a good general knowledge of the inner-workings of the human body, especially, of course, if in the circulatory system. Well, off topic. The success or, lack there of, success, COMES INTO THE PICTURE NOW. AS IN, the good- old-fashioned PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT (or, also, where THE TOTAL # of TRAINEES ARE easily weeded out) cuz, EVEN IF you have the highest score/average of ANYONE from the class-work, means ABSOLUTELY. THIS WHOLE THING, MAY NOT EVEN COME THROUGH AS READABLE, SO SORRY, IF IT DOES.
The lady in the front is very rude
They took my blood without wearing any gloves at all. I did not realize it until they were finished and pulling out the needle.
No gloves blood stained gauze on floor we walked out
Took the drug test my pee was 98.6 degrees they told me it was too hot so they failed me but
The staff is friendly and they do their job well. The only drawback, aside from their new location being difficult to find, is they are as slow as a physicians office. You wait and wait only to get called back and only be there for 5-10 minutes.
In, out friendly and professional
