I have a love/hate relationship with this gym. They are affordable. That’s where they get the one-star for, the price. There is an LA Fitness where I’m moving but I rather take my chances with a new gym in the area I’m moving to. However, everything is falling apart. The gym equipment used is the same equipment that was used when the first opened. They rarely ever update any of the equipment. The ones at the Woodbridge, VA location are either broken or on the verge of breaking down. The machines are extremely outdated and have a lot of wear and tear. I think there is no valid excuse for having machines that were intended for customers 13 years ago. There is no need to repair them, they need to be replaced with new machines. Not only are the machines being closed for social distancing but the ones that work are breaking down which provides fewer treadmills because they are all broken. LA Fitness should take better accountability and update every single one of the treadmill machines because they are extremely overused, dirty, broken, and outdated. It’s quite embarrassing when the sales employees are giving potential clients tours and these machines are in the poorest condition possible. This is unacceptable that any customer pays for machines that are breaking down or destroyed. Even Planet Fitness replaces their equipment and they charge their customers $10 a month. It’s quite embarrassing that LA Fitness is penny-pinching with machines that were intended for customers 13 years ago! It’s time to update the treadmill machines with 2021 standards, not 2007. They also don’t have hand sanitizer in any of the containers. It’s been out for weeks and all the staff say is they are expecting it soon.

I love this place. If you need a trainer ask for James. He may be small in stature, but is a great trainer. He knows bodies, and will do better than a physical therapist to get you in shape.

They care about everyone that walks in the doors. Great place to work out, meet people that you can talk to while you work out. The trainers are great. James at the manassas center is the best.

Kaley The manager is awesome she really cares about the members and does what you can to address their concerns is there concerns.. The classes are awesomeAnd the instructors are great. Naomi the spin and yoga teacher is fantastic. The gym is needed in need of AA rehab and the equipment needs to be replaced including the including the Jacuzzi. The staff Is doing what they can to maintain the gym.

This place is on its last leg. 40 % od their equipment is broken with out of service signs. All other gyms in the area are back to normal hours. LA Fitness still operating under restricted hours. If they are going to cut the hours they should also cut the membership fees. Its just fair. And they never open on time. I always wait 15 30 minutes on Sat and Sundays.

Helpful staff, lots of exercise machines and equipment. 3 lane lap pool, 3 racquetball courts and full size indoor basketball/ volleyball court. Mens locker room and showers are nice

Mostly equipment are very old. Location for parking is great staff is nice ! But corporate CEO have to focus on this gym to upgrade equipments. Please update this gym as Signature gym !!!!!!

I’ve been going to this gym since 2017 and they have old equipment , most of them are broken. Always scheduled for service and never repair. Its kind of expensive for not being able to use the equipment you want too. I wish i can find something better than this, not even both of their water fountain are working. I’m really disappointed.

It is Saturday August 4th of 2021 at 8:10am. This place opens at 8am. Why are the doors locked and 20 people outside waiting to get inside?Whoever works mornings here should be FIRED!

If I could, I would give them zero star because of their operations manager. This is one the worst place and people I have ever interacted with. Their Operations Manager is one of the most irresponsible, careless, rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and liar person that I have never seen in my entire live. You will not believe that she goes on lunch break for over two hours and non of her staff dares to call her during 2 plus hours lunch break. It has been over 4 weeks - plus that I want to talk to someone to get the issue solved, but all they do is leave her a message and she never gets back. They do everything to delay your request. Find somewhere, but don’t register here as you will regret.I will file a complaint to their corporate office and will not let that continue to happen.

DO NOT waste your time or money here. This has been an ongoing issue that started June 25, 2021and today is July 19, 2021 The staff, completely incompetent, rude, and untrained in customer service just to start. $1500 contract for a stoke patient the can NOT be cancelled/refunded 24 hrs later??? Jason, Derek, and Kaylie haven given my mom the run around about cancelling her 24 hour old contract. Today she was told by Kaylie that she could not help her because she was interviewing someone. Great way to train the new comer Kaylie Members Dont come first, interviews do. I gave 1 star because 0 is not an option. Call corporate phone and get voicemail, call personal number and get voicemail. All with no response. If there is no response to this review then we know the issue goes beyond the front line staff.

Meh. Probably worst LA Fitness Ive been to. The equipment is old and have no idea why they dont replace the equipment. Can get very crowded especially around the dumbbell area. Good luck trying to find collars and dumbbells. Woodbridge has the worst gyms in the DMV..

The gym equipment is old, half of of the exercise machines are broken. Very spacious gym by the way. Its almost never too crowded.

Mike the manager is pretty cool! BUT THEY NEED TO RENOVATE THE GYM!! The manassas, Springfield, and Herndon are 10 time better cuz its newer! Getting to old.

This is a nice gym with a lot of equipment but personal trainer manger is so rude and I think he shouldn’t be a personal trainer manger if he is gonna be rude about people weight the way they look etc and he shouldn’t make them feel bad about themself. A personal trainer helps people to grow in good way and they are nice.

This Lafitness is the worst in terms of repairing their machines. Its been more than 6 months since they have even repaired a single broken machine. They are charging their members every month and are supposed to keep them happy with good quality. But instead they are providing the worst to their members. Another thing is that its been a while they are not changing their time to regular hours until 11 mon-fri. Now they close 1 hour early.

Wish it was possible to give this place zero stars. Unclear and almost impossible to cancel membership here. Dont bother signing up here because theyll do their best to delay your cancellation request indefinitely and charge you even when they promised to process your cancellation request. And as you can see from everyone elses reviews its not a one time thing. Be smart and dont sign up here because they clearly dont care about you and just want your money.

Update October 4, 2021I am told the gym hours will return to ore-covid hiyrs Sat-Sun close 8 pm, Mon-Thu close 11 pm, Fri close 10 pm. Now please fix all the broken cardio equipment.Update August 2021Equipment does not always work, toilets stink. The cardiovascular equipment, the treadmills have TVs attached, and half do not work. Some of the machines just do not keep track of heart rate and other items. You have to keep trying machines to find one that properly works. Another thing that bothers me are the manual clocks. Most are not in synch. Bathroom frequently out of towels. I find the staff unfriendly and spending a lot of time on their cell phones.Workout areas usually in good shape. And there is a decent amount of workout equipment. Overall an acceptable gym.The hours have been shortened. The water in the showers is often cold. No soap frequently. 4 years later and the same defective cardio equipment.

This LA Fitness is relatively new, so much of the equipment is new and floors are in great condition. There is plenty of parking.

Gym has poor standards. The front reception is not courteous and forgets to greet customers. The treadmills are few and in bad condition and usually occupied. LA fitness in Wood bridge is sub standards compared to other locations I have been to

Terrible management! asked many times over the pandemic to suspend my elderly mother’s account since she was at high risk as a cancer survivor. always said they will and kept passing the request between themselves, but kept drafting money for her membership. for the whole year, even during the lock-down!

Its the expectation you get when you pay 24.99 a month. Its not the greatest but it will do to get the job done. They just opened back the basket ball courts. They do have swimming pool open. Not all the machines are open back yet. Its still one open and the other one close.

Very good atmosphere, equipment works and the pool is great. Staff is always very nice.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCE STAY AWAY. Payed for 10 months of personal training and received less than 10 sessions. Once COVID closed the gyms i couldn’t get in contact with anyone. I signed a contract so I payed for the 6 months I was required to. However, this gym still won’t cancel my membership after 4 months of letters and phone calls and even a dam cancellation code. $2500 LA Fitness stole from me and gave me nothing in return.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experience !!I paid hundreds of dollars for not attending to this gym location due to COVID -19, five o six months ago after many, many calls trying to speak with anybody of the staff to cancel my membership Finally I got lucky and speak with one member of the staff who convence me not to cancel and just put on “freeze” my acount and paid only $10 per month per each person on my account until I decide to go back, I said OKToday $ 98 where deducted from my bank account with any notices from them due to anual renewal fee, but WHY PAY ANUAL FEE IF MY ACCOUNT WAS ON “FREZZE” they are taking advantage of me and sure many other people more.I hope NEVER return to LA FITNES again because I don’t like when people take advantage of people and steal their moneyZERO STARS TO THIS PLACE

We went here the other day and while the staff was nice the gym was very dirty. They do not have proper cleaning available for regular cleaning let alone COVID. I used my own Clorox wipes and they were brown after each machine I cleaning showing this has not been done in a long time. The staff did not clean while there and very few of the gym member there took the time to clean their machine or weights with the few supplies given. Also many of the machines had rust on them and one of the treadmills has a belt split 1/3 of the way and still in use.

So far so good. I visited a lot of gyms before choosing this one. For me the deciding factor was the hot tub. The facility is nice. The staff is nice. At peak hours there are plenty of machines, free weights, and open areas, another big plus. The weekday hours are good. Weekend hours are ok. The location is nice. It’s in the middle of many major shopping outlets. So I can go the gym and when I am finished, get some shopping done if need be.When signing up, I addressed a lot of the complaints in the 1 star reviews. They went through them 1 by 1 with us. I suggest the same if you sign up.Update 12/21/2018Maintenance here is . . . Eh 😐. Sauna in the men’s locker room has had a broken bench for 10 days. Pool is closed. - 1 ⭐️Update 08/10/2019They updated the sauna benches. I mean why not? The sauna, pool, and all the monitors on the cardio equipment are down. Bout as well get some much needed maintenance in. Right.

Employees are kind & smart & are well educated about health.

Pros:Great weightlifting’s machines, lots of variety.Lots of cardio machines so you are bound to find one on a busy night.Exercise classes are lots of fun.Check in staff is friendly.Pool is clean and jacuzzi feels good.Cons:Showers need more cleaning and upgrade.Bathroom doors should open out because it’s super tight to get in and out of the stall.Do not use the hair dryers. One of them sparked and I had to shut it off, worried my hair would catch on fire.They do not have towels, you’ll need to bring your own.It would be the perfect gym if they offered better restroom resources.

Great place to work out without having to wait on any equipment. I have been with LA Fitness for more than 5 years and I always enjoy going to this gym and would recommend it to other friends and family members. Nicole, who works at the front desk, is so very friendly, outgoing, and energetic. Her customer service is OUTSTANDING, and I can understand why so many of us enjoy having her here at this location. If I can give this place ZERO stars I would. I signed up for a membership to get fit. We signed up for the “family plan” which the guy who signed us up said the cost would be $39.99 which we thought was awesome! My brother is military and was visiting when it came down to take him off since his next station did not have an LA Fitness around we found out that the price we would actually pay is $80.99. So clearly I was not going to pay that price if it was notified at first. No where in the paper work did it say $80.99. When I spoke to the manager they quickly pointed fingers at the employee that of course no longer worked there instead of taking responsibility for what was done.After all this mess I tried to sign up myself but clearly that was also a fail!! This other employee proceeded to keep my brother active and keep me second. At the end of the day we both (my brother and myself) got charged $83.49. It literally took 10 business days to get that money back but of course that is something they charge at the instant! My brother was also promised the yearly fee of $184.96. Which it’s been a little over a week. Clearly I am going to have to deal with corporate since everyone at LA fitness is clearly incompetent.

I paid 6 month contract payments (more than $200) for not attending that gym location due coronavirus pandemic. Even I called many times to cancel my contract, they still charged me until the end of contract.

They provide bottles with cleanser at the entrance to use on machines post workouts. I was a little disappointed that ALL patrons werent wearing masks. Only a few lockers in the locker room are available due to social distancing.

I dont know what the hell happened to this place. The prior manager( Richard) was nice and helpful. I stopped going for a while due to an injury. I wanted to go back again but then was told about increased daycare fees. So I looked into Gold Gym and talk to someone. Their fees are way cheaper and better class options. So I go in to cancel LA fitness and the current manager was rude. Didnt care that I canceled. His attitude was like he didnt want to be there or even talk to me. Wasnt concerned about me leaving. His entire vibe was off. No worries because I love Golds already.

Horrible horrible staff. I have 2 guests pass and they still $15 to my guest to just workout for 1 day. The manager Ernesto is super rude and tries to get tough very fast. I’ll be canceling my membership here and going somewhere better. Don’t join this gym.

I dont have a membership, but I went with a family member to see what it was like. It was nice inside and had lots of different machines, free weights, racquet ball and basketball courts, a sauna, hot tub, and a pool. The pool isnt that big, but it was nice. Would consider getting a membership depending on the price.

Just joined La Fitness at Woodbridge. This facility is clean and all of the team members are interested in ensuring that you meet your fitness goals. My personal trainer James is spot on and helping me to really get back into shape! Dont wait until January to start. Come in now get and get your New Years resolution to be fit started early. 😎

Love this place

Very disappointed with the way we were treated. Gave an honest response to the manager on staff and he tried to act tough when it was not needed. He proceeded to also make remarks at my 15 year old brother which was uncalled for. Funny thing is the staff in hand were worried he would act that way and they apologized after for his actions. They lost a family of 6.

I received a guest pass to visit this gym. I am really enjoying this pass because of all the equipment there to use. They also have a basketball court, pool and they now have kids swimming lessons. I think when this pass ends that I will join. Staff is friendly and helpful. So go by there and get a guest pass and try them out.

Contacted customer service at morning and they said gym will close at normal hours, now it’s 5:17PM and this gym is closed, everybody complain about this gym equipments but now the customer service start lying.

Staff is very Friendly and Helpful. Cornell and team were happy to help me with my upgrade to my membership. Generally Clean, Bright and easy to navigate to the machines you want. . Water classes are fun and challenging, Jacuzzi is a nice end to the workout. Thanks!

Nice gym. Too bad they dont stay open until at least Midnight. For an older building they are maintaining it well. Good equipment, nice staff, and stays clean.

I have been going to this gym for a while. Facilities are nice. Location is convenient. Plenty of parking. Pricing isnt bad, IF you are interested in a gym that offers group classes with membership. The biggest issue I have with this location is the lack of consistency with class instructors. With no warning, they recently dropped a Tuesday and Thursday daytime cycle class, even though there is a regular class following. Many of the regular class members were frustrated with this change. Emails and voicemails have been sent, with no response. A petition was started to show the desire to have those classes reinstated and the response has been indifference. It has been difficult, more like impossible to get a hold of a decision maker to discuss the displeasure with the recent changes. There has been a lot of turnover with various group class instructors over the years, but this was a bit much. Might have to rethink this membership and see what other gyms might be a better fit in the area.

Bathrooms need to be updated but this location was awesome and there wasnt a lot of people standing around socializing.

Never join la fitness. They dont cancel ur memberships. I moved to Richmond and In order to cancel my membership they wanted me to walk to the gym. The nearest gym is 80 miles away and they only stay from 9am to 6pm. Not even sat sundays. Is there a way I can cancel my membership?? Absolutely makes no sense.. join golds gym planet fitness or one life but la ?? Nope.

A couple new changes have occurred. They now have a physical therapy room, swimming class, and updated some equipment based on personal training, but not much else has changed.They need new treadmills and elliptical machines for sure. Half of their equipment doesnt work anymore. Hard to keep the place clean as well with many locals not putting the plates away in the correct locations and such.

I only go here for the pool and for the most part I really like it. The only problem is I like to swim in the morning right when they open and occasionally the lifeguard is late so Im either late to swimming or I just have to cancel it because he is too late.

I won’t give a five star for the gym itself I am giving a five start review for one of the instructors named Michelle. Last time my husband and I went to a class it was with Iesha and it was terrible. Michelle redeemed the experience for us by being very encouraging and keeping a good pace and paying a lot of attention to the class. Thanks again and God bless you!

Has potential for bring a great location, but often left messy. More due to the members, not the employees. Weights are all over the place. Some days its a tripping hazard obstacle course (2/5 stars). Dirty paper towels from someone wiping the equipments gets left on the floor or on the equipment itself. Locker rooms are fairly clean (3/5 stars). Showers and saunas are clean (4/5 stars). Staff is nice. Most say hello when arriving, or goodbye (or have a nice day) when leaving. Definitely not in the top 3 LA Fitness locations Ive been to.

I go because they have a pool and spa/hot tub. I do not like the dressing room setup, too open for my liking. I go to the showers to dress. Some of the Lifeguards are great some not so much. Also I dont understand why none NONE ! Of the clocks have remotely the same time. The two in the pool area clocks are different by like 10 minutes.

Good place to work out. The whirlpool area and pool could use a good makeover. It would be good if they provided direct access to the pool for members with disabilities so they dont have to walk thru the whole gym to get there.

I love LA Fitness it has almost everything I feel I need. I do wish it was 24 hours and I would be nice if they had their own store where you can buy supplements and meals, shakes bars etc.

When youre looking at Google reviews MAKE SURE you look at when they were posted. Some are at least 4 years old. Ive been going to LA Fitness for about a year and none of this has happened (besides it being overcrowded in the evening, but you have to realize that everybody has the same idea). Its a great gym and the staff is great. The guys at the front always try to make you feel at home.

This gym is good for standard workouts, classes or any routines you have. They are a bit pricey their membership, but it has in care chic care, a pool and sauna. They pester a bit when you first sign up. But during the mornings its slow and their is rarely a wait for machines.

Spacious, but basically the worst respect for local staff in the industry. Actually ordered a manager to call all trainers and tell them that if they couldnt work full time they were fired. Oh, did I mention they only get paid for actual time they are training people. Gym doesnt open on time. and the list keeps going.

Havent been at this location in a while, but now I know I dont need to go back anytime soon. I didnt even get a workout in and left frustrated because what do you know of 2 machines I selected in the whole facility to work out on: 1 the elliptical and the other a treadmill, neither had the functionality to connect my headphones with the TV. What are the chances? That tells me out of all the machines there must be a whole lot more machines that have problems than the 2 I chose. Besides that, looking at the equipment I noticed they look like they havent been cleaned for a while. One looked like there was some leftover vomit on it and no one cleaned it up. Even some of them have rust in the crevices. I usually go to Manassas location (which is 100% better than this one) and Ill keep doing that instead of coming here.

A lot of broken equipment. The staff is very friendly and it’s busy, when I go, but it’s not overwhelming. My monthly fees should go to keeping All of the equipment in better shape.

Love the classes I can take, both during week and weekend. But cleanliness of the facility is disgusting. I am looking to cancel my membership and find a sanitary place to do my workouts. La Fitness will never get my business again. They are all about the dollar period.......

Really good size but also really dated equipment. All the cardio machine need to be either well repaired or replaced. I do like the fact that it has free WiFi which is great.

Very unhelpful staff. I tried to bring a friend in to try out LA Fitness instead of his gym and they demanded 15 dollars for a one day pass. I am paid for a full year and my friend was seriously interested in switching gyms. On our way to a better gym with more helpful staff right now.

Wow, I just went to this LA Fitness location recently, and it is so nice! It makes my local LA Fitness in Crystal City look like a dump. They have Wi-Fi and everything is new and the changing area is so clean and modern. I realize now that there are big differences between LA Fitness locations. Well, this is a really nice one!

Ive met wonderful people at the gym. Love my instructors. I do see gym equipment left out, like weights scattered all over, people trying to hold 2 or 3 machines, you can only do one machine at a time. Be courteous. It would be helpful if some of the desk people floated around the gym instead of looking bored or talking on cell phones. Trash left by machines. I am a member of Golds and L A Fitness. I prefer L A Fitness. I went to Golds 4 times and stopped. I float between Manassas and Woodbridge. I follow my instructors.

Where do I start? I visited this gym to figure out if I should switch from my current one because of an equipment issue I have with mine. Walked in, asked for a free trial to see if the vibe and the equipment could work, but rather than a trial, these people made me sign up for a membership. A membership whose prices change daily for some reason. And whose enrollment fees are as high as Golds Gym. After all the talk and mumbo jumbo, they only gave me a single day.My main gripe with the low rating is that I specifically told them why I was using the trial pass and that I was not being a gym trial jumper like we know some people do but they insist that you sign up instead (typical sales).After I called them saying I wasnt signing up they gladly said alright and what I thought would be the end wasnt.Later on in various days I would get called and emailed about a new offer to sign up that was from the same person who tried to get me to sign up. Its like they didnt spread the message or update their system.2 stars for acting like a car dealership and bugging you to pay something when you just want to see.Also 2 stars for not simply letting me try the gym before any of this.Youre a gym. Stop acting like a dealership that people already hate dealing with. I realize that this is how a lot of places are but still. If someone wants to try before they buy, dont tell them to buy first.Overall the gym is clean. Its big, and the equipment is decent. And other than the sales tactics, the salesmen and women are down to earth people.So 2 stars.

Great place to exercise lots of equipment, friendly knowledgeable staff, very clean and a large variety of classes to fit any need. My insurance covers gym membership I had a choice between any gym in Woodbridge, this if the best by far.

Equipment could be better maintained and management could do a better job of enforcing rules. Too often equipment will remain unrepaired for weeks. The gym staff seems more concerned with adding new customers than keeping ones they have. No one ever walks the floor to ensure weights are returned to racks, equipment is wiped down after use, etc.

I like the facility a lot. Its a shame that a lot of members dont take better care of it. Barely anyone has respect in this place.I had a bad experience playing a pickup basketball game when I was almost tackled for setting a pick. Too many kids (the age of grown men) that cry like babies and argue about nonsense which makes playing no fun. No one in this gym is going to the NBA Finals anytime soon, Id put a few stacks on it.Anyway... the community isnt great but the facility is nice for now.This makes the place a below average gym in my opinion.2 stars...

Ive joined about a week ago and everything is good so far. Location is big and clean, somewhat modern equipment and good classes. I have been in 2 zumba classes with 2 different instructors and even though both are good, I want to talk about todays class with Alondra. This class is really good!! If you want to sweat like crazy while learning some Latin dance then this is your class! Even though is somewhat fast paced (which I prefer) She gives clear instructions, good dancing and teaching skills not boring at all!! I only did 45 minutes and was sweating non stop, worth every minute of your time!! I wish she was in the mornings too!!

You know I have a bitter sweet relationship with this gym.Im no meat head or anything like that, but for how many people go there and how much you pay . The equipment does not reflect what the customers pay. Majority of the treadmills are destroyed dont work or the monitors are halfway hanging off. The bathrooms are disgusting half the time. I dont blame that on the gym staff because most of the people dont clean up behind themselfs.Good side of the gym is the staff is amazing. They try to work with what they are given. They try their best to make everyone happy.

Gym equipment: Older but functional. Leather is not ripped. Free weights are all over the place. Gym users are lazy to put the equipment back where it belongs so certain common weights are always missing. Theres an average of two machines for each workout. ie. two lateral row machines, two leg extensions. Punching bags are packed at the bottom, soft up top.Racquet Ball Rooms: There are four rooms. Usually its empty. Most busy around 6-8 weekdays. AC isnt strong and staff will not modify the temperature. Some dead spots in a couple rooms.Staff: Friendly, but I have no real interactions with them.Water: It was fine until one day I drank a water bottle first then filled it with the fountain water. Then I couldnt stand the taste. Im particular about water though. Theres two locations for water with two fountains per location. Water pressure is fine.Mens Locker Room: I wish people who swim and shower would stay in one area of the locker room so the other areas would be dry.What I wish LA Fitness had:Towels. Many other gyms have towels that you can take and throw in a basket when done. Many people dont clean the equipment so having towels would help cover equipment.Regular pull up bars and rings so I can do Calisthenics.

Convenient location on the Prince William Parkway. Ive been a member since they opened and compared to Golds Gym, it is cleaner and well lit. They need to do a better job of stocking supplies like paper towels and soap and maintenance of broken equipment is very slow.

Awesome gym with great classes. Membership is reasonable for what you get, if you actually go.

Pretty nice gym, good prices and always clean. Trainers know what theyre doing which is nice.
