We appreciate Dans approach and care, especially his knowledge of the trees in the area and suggestions that keep us on the straight path to maintaining healthy trees. His crews are also great in their professionalism in arriving on time executing the work and cleaning up our property afterwards. Dan’s tree service was the best money I’ve spent this year with my new house. The team showed up on time, had a safety meeting and went straight to work. They removed two large silver maples in less than 4 hours and left my yard in better shape than before. I Highly recommend using this company.

We started out with Dan coming and taking a tour of our yard, checking out each tree (and identifying them, since we did not know what all of them were), and then he recommended which trees to leave, to cut, or to trim up. The team that came to cut down 4 trees and trim up some others was fantastic. They were here on a timely fashion, very concerned about safety, and worked very well together. They were amazing to watch as they climbed trees and we were mesmerized watching them work the crane and all of the other equipment involved in the project. The crew was very conscious of everything in our yard and cleaned it up better than when they got there.We just cannot speak highly enough of everyone on the tree crew, in the office, and Dan himself in accomplishing this project.We now have a nicely opened up yard and house and have gotten rid of a tree whos roots were endangering our foundation. And at a reasonable price. Anyone who needs knowledgeable tree advice and work will be satisfied with Dan and his team.

We were really pleased with the efficacy of Dans Tree Service. We also appreciated that when they first came out to give the estimate, they were honest that it would take a few weeks to get an appointment. Their scheduler worked with us to set a date so we were able to plan around it. They showed up when they said they would, did a beautiful job of trimming and removal for the specified trees, and then cleaned everything up, not leaving branches and debris everywhere. The price was steep but not unexpected. Totally worth it, plus it was great watching them work! I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Dan’s Tree Service did a wonderful job at trimming a number of trees on our property. The guys were professional and cleaned up all the debris before they left. Additionally, when we booked them, one of our trees needed to be dormant before being pruned and shaped, so the quoted price was still valid six months later when they returned to finish the job. I will recommend and use them again for future services.

Dans Tree Service was fast and professional. We had a tree removed and they not only took it down quickly, but made sure to clean up all debris and laid down plywood, etc., to make sure that the lawn wasnt torn up by the equipment, even though the tree was in the back corner of the yard. They got out to use fast as well because our tree was dead and in imminent danger of falling and would hit the house if it had. We really appreciated that. Highly recommend!

Dan was friendly and knowledgeable when he came out to my house to discuss what needed doing. We decided to remove eight trees and grind their stumps and prune five trees—a big job that involved the crane. His crew was hard-working and efficient and cleaned up as they went along. The work was very professionally done. I was one-hundred percent satisfied with the results and the fee.

Dans Trees removed a very large tree that was close to my house, as well as several smaller trees in my yard which is wooded making removing even the smaller ones a bit tricky. This is a highly professional and dependable business if youre tired of tree services that dont return calls, dont show up, or never produce an estimate after a visit. I dont normally gush, but Id like to about the service Dans Trees provided. From the beginning of showing up on time, to working carefully to do their job, to not hurting the many azaleas and mountain laurel that line my driveway as they worked, to cleaning up when they were finished, they far exceeded my expectations. They didnt just clean up the mess they made, they honestly left my yard looking better than when they came. As an example, one of the kind gentlemen even got up on my roof with a blower to clean off a small amount of sawdust that was up there, but also removed some branches that had nothing to do with their work. This is just one instance of many where they went above and beyond. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Dans Tree Service met or exceeded all of our expectations. They performed the work for the original estimate, were very friendly and professional, started work a couple of days early, removed three difficult river birches from our small back yard in a day, and did not cause any damage to our home or yard. Dan’s Tree Service removed a sixty foot tree for us. They needed to reach it from the neighbor’s driveway. They were very considerate of that reality. They removed the tree and then cleaned up the neighbor’s property and ours. We were very pleased with their communication with us and consideration for the final appearance.

Part I, November 18, 2020: Having used Dans Tree Service a couple years ago successfully, I called Dans again, when two dying trees need removal. Dan responded with a visit on May 13 to inspect and provide an estimate. An appointment was arranged for the work to be completed on July 17. However, Dans office postponed that appointment due to exceptional July heat and humidity, and with some concern of COVID19. Another appointment was arranged for October 14th. The day before that second appointment, Dans office called and again cancelled the appointment due to emergency work they were addressing in the wake of severe weather. No follow-on appointment was arranged at that time, but Dans office advised that they would be contacting me. Come this past Monday, November 16, with no call from them, I called. His office immediately advised, Well be out tomorrow (Tuesday the 17th), but we cannot give you a specific time. Tuesday came and went; Dans Tree Service was a no-show and there was no communication that they would not be arriving. Today, numerous calls and e-mails were made to Dans Tree Service; there has been absolutely no reply.Watch for Part II of this report, which I will provide within these reviews on what develops, either after we make communication, or when a certain period of time expires. I am hoping that in Part II, I will be able to provide a positive review.Part II, November 24, 2020: Today, I am very pleased to report that Dans Tree Service came through with flying colors in every respect. The day after I wrote review Part I, I received a telephone call from Dans Tree Services office staff. It turns out that apparently, due to the virus, the office is on a limited days and hours schedule. This is likely the reason that I had been unable to contact them recently, or that it took a few days for them to return my calls. The office staff was most apologetic for the delay. During the phone conversation, an appointment was arranged for the necessary work to be completed today (again, November 24). Dans Tree Service crew arrived as arranged, performed the tree removal work in a completely professional manner, cleaned up the entire area to perfection afterwards, provided some valuable advice on other trees on our property, and confirmed with my wife and me that we were completely satisfied. We are. So, once again, as after previous work Dans Tree Service has provided in past years, I most highly recommend their service. I will certainly be calling them again, when and if we require additional tree service.

Highly recommend Dans Tree services. We had Dan come over to give us a quote on removing a number of large trees very close to my house and on a hillside. He was very informative and gave us a very reasonable price that was much better than our 1st estimate. They showed up exactly when they said they would and finished the job that same day. I dont even think his guys took a break all day. Theres no doubt they worked very efficiently and did a great job. After they had finished the yard was left in good shape and we were very impressed with the whole thing. They even removed a smaller tree we were going to remove ourselves for no charge. Overall Dan and his crew were very professional and great to work with.

Had a willow oak removed and a crepe myrtle trimmed back. Oak was in a tight spot, fence and surrounding houses. The did a great job and super clean up. Highly recommend.

The estimate was fair. His knowledge of the trees in my yard for the estimate was excellent and helpful. The workers came and worked fast and safe. They took down 3 pretty good sized trees and left my yard pretty clean and neat. Reaching Dan by phone was difficult but he came about the same time he had indicated at the time of estimate. No complaints here. Great service.

DO NOT USE Dans Tree Service!The gal in the office is inept as they come. She gave us a 9/3 date for our project but they never showed up. I left call after call trying to get to Dan to get an explanation but he never returned my calls or emails. The office gal was the only one I could talk to and all she kept saying was that Dan would call you back. We got another date of 9/19 from her but I wanted confirmation from Dan. I followed up every call with an email. No return. On 9/12, I finally got a call from Dan saying that they would not be doing the job at all. The office gal fd up and threw us under the bus to cover her mistake. Went with Johnny Timber. They returned all calls and actually showed up EARLY for the project and did a fine job. DO NOT USE DAN!

Dan’s crew did an outside job! Removed Large tree that was right next to our house. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing tree service.

I have only gotten to experience the by-product of this companys work -- No regard for the neighbors property--damages done to driveways, grass, shrubs and trees that were not part of the property they were working on.
