I hired Giant to remodel my exterior with Hardie Plank. I also had them do numerous extras like remove an exterior door and side over it, and install a new cupola over my garage. I also wanted to do some special trim work around my windows and doors. I gave them example that I got from Pinterest and they opied it exactly. I am 100% satisfied with the work, and I am often a picky and very specific homeowner. I notice the details and I value them, and Giant did not disappoint. I chose Giant because they are a Hardie authorized installer, and yes there is a difference between a good Hardie installer and a bad one, and once you see a bad install you will not risk it, even if it means saving a few dollars. Giant was also the lowest quote I received, so to get the quality I received and the value made this a complete success. Lastly, I was told 10 days to install and they were done in 8 days, and they spent half the of the last day cleaning the property and my beds. I picked up very few things that they missed. Lastly, If you are tired of condescending contractors who assume you know nothing and think you should stay in your house, then you will be pleasantly surprised with Perry and his crew. They never talked down to me and answered all of questions, and I was home and walking around the house 3-4 times a day. Thank you, Perry, for keeping your promises and making my house beautiful.

Giant did a good job and I’ve received many compliments by neighbors and friends….However I was away on business when the job was done and upon my return, I noticed that there were absolutely not vents in the soffits on the front or back of the house. There were numerous soffit vents prior to having the job done meaning that they were necessary. Not a house on my street or the surrounding streets that have been resided are without soffit vents..I called and spoke to Perry Hayes a week ago and he said he would talk to the installers. I have received no answer to date and I called to remind him I’m still waiting. Placed a call after hours last night looking for a date when this would be corrected figuring i ‘d get a call today, Saturday.. STILL WAITING !Poor reflection on their customer service to fix anProblem issue created by the installer.Bob L

We hired Giant to do our siding with Hardieboard, and Perry and his team were fantastic. Perry was courteous, practical, knowledgeable, and responsive in every respect. His crew arrived early each morning and worked until sundown every day until the job was done. I give Giant and him my highest possible recommendation. We’ve had a lot of experiences with various contractors over the years, and this was by far the best.

Just a caution - these guys will make it seem like they want to do work with you, but then never follow through. A courteous thanks for contacting us but were too busy right now would be the right thing to do. So if youre hoping to get a proposal from them, just make sure you have a Plan B and C.

We were so pleased with the work Perry and the team at Giant Siding & Windows did on our home. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. Given we contacted them in April, all of our sales calls were done on Zoom but Perry was seamless in his use of the technology and it felt no different than a face-to-face meeting. The project started on time, completed on time and on budget. His team was professional and was able to adapt on the spot to our requests, including a change to the custom lattice work. Given our house is older, they experienced a few structural issues that they were able to resolve with no disruption to the overall project. Giant is Westchester Countys only Elite Preferred James Hardie installer. After working with Giant, we can see why! Highly recommended!

We were connected to Giant via the Hardie website to get a quote for re-siding our house. We were initially impressed because Giant called to set up an appointment almost immediately. We learned that their process is to set up an intro Zoom prior to coming to the house. We werent able to get an appointment for the Zoom until two weeks later. The day of the Zoom, Perry asked if we could instead have a phone call. Wasnt a problem for me. However, it became apparent that the purpose of the call/zoom was to avoid Giant having to look at the house at all. Perry said he would send me a link to their app so I could take photos of the house myself and the app would provide measurements. I wasnt thrilled, but agreed. Unfortunately, Perry never even bothered sending the link to the app. Luckily, Hardie provided two other contractors who were more interested in our business.

We recently contracted with Giant Siding and Windows to completely tear down our dilapidated wood clapboard siding and replace it with James Hardy siding. It was a big project, and we were nervous about choosing the right vendor as how many times do you reside your house? If this review helps allay anyone’s fears about choosing Giant, then I am happy to write this.We solicited three quotes for our siding and from a pricing perspective all three were very similar in total cost. What was very different about Giant though, which at first caught us off guard but in hindsight set them apart from their competitors, was Giant’s application of technology into their bidding process. It was completely unique and in my mind a differentiator. We needed to download an app onto our phone, take pictures of our house from set angles which then gets uploaded to Giant and provides exact dimensions and measurements for material needs. It also allows the owner to provide a 3D model of what our home will look like, choosing the siding materials right in the application. It is during this working session that the owner also reviews the siding process in detail with you and reviews all of the requirements they will meet to ensure your James Hardy siding is warranty compliant. This part of the process was very smooth and greatly contributed to us choosing Giant for our project.After signing our contract, we were having some work done to our home which precluded Giant from starting right away. They were able to accommodate our schedule and start work 5 months after our contract date to ensure our previous projects completed on time. We appreciated that flexibility.Once the work started, the team was here every day from project start to completion. They were all super professional, paid very close attention to detail and were happy to answer any questions or make small adjustments to the process along the way. There was extensive sheathing damage to our home which Perry also worked with us on from a pricing perspective.The end result of the project was a complete transformation of the look of our home which is now protected from the elements for many years to come. We have had many neighbors compliment the finished product which all credit should go to Giant and their team. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have siding done on their home.

If you are planning to reside your home, Giant Siding is the company to use. From start to finish, our siding project took 6 days. Their workers were professional and tidy. Lars helped us from the beginning with the design plan and came to visit during the installation to make sure everything was going according to plan. We are so happy with how our siding turned out.

Giant completed our new siding project. Weve gotten many complements from our neighbors. Perrys team Mellie, Christian, Eddie, Alonso and Juan were very professional, courteous, hard working. Dan the project manager was very helpful and also very courteous as was Laurie the office manager. Overall, the siding project came out very well and we are very happy with the Hardie Board. As with any contractor, we needed to be present, ask questions and made sure that they were providing us with options -- even if they costed us some more money -- on how to deal with certain situations. Like all contractors these days, they are very busy so my only critique is that Perry or his Forman were present more often even though his team is very good. Advice: be sure that they temporarily re-fasten any downspouts that they had to temporarily loosen before they head out over the weekend in case it rains; be sure to talk through work that will need to be done after they leave (e.g., repair stucco loosened in the work; mortar pointing around existing chimney to ensure proper seal between new siding elements, etc.) not in Giants scope so that you can budget up front; get new fixtures like lights and mailboxes before work begins.

Perry and his team did a wonderful job on our Hardie siding. They were hard-working and professional and got the job done even more quickly than anticipated. Perry was helpful when we were torn between colors to choose. He gave us addresses to drive by so we could see them on homes instead of just the swatches. He was responsive throughout the process and came by to follow up at the end. We highly recommend Giant!

GIANT is a dependable, respectful and honest family-owned business. The team is very responsive and thorough. They replaced our roof and three windows and left our yard and the job site clean. Giant was first contractor on my new house that quoted and held a price. The workers put in good long days and held to original timeframe quoted for the job. Any questions were answered timely. Everything that was not done but i thought should be was taken care of. They left my property almost as of they were never there. If you are looking to get your siding done on your house these guys are great. The owner is local and takes a lot of pride in his family owned business. The price was reasonable. He worked with us on the price and he also has financing through Wells Fargo so you can pay it off in a years time.The quality of the work was exceptional. We had a great experience with Giant. We had our siding replaced in 2011, and the siding stood up to Hurricanes Irene and Sandy (they also left us with PLENTY of extra siding when they completed the job). One month later after our siding was completed, we discovered that an exterior outlet no longer worked. They sent an electrician out, and even after we realized that the outlet failure wasnt their fault (the outlets wiring had disintegrated) they didnt charge us. When one piece of siding fell out last month, Perry fixed that for us at no charge within the week. When we told our neighbors that we were about to replace our siding, they had warned us about the stray siding nails that would litter our property. But we havent found any stray siding nails at all! Were very pleased with the final product, and we would recommend Giant with no reservations.
