Super grateful to Randy at Heathcote Restorations for the work they did on my steel window! We have a 1927 Tudor with original steel casement windows, and the previous owners hacked out a metal mullion to accommodate a window a/c in my son’s room. We have central air but couldn’t take out the window unit bc it would be missing that critical piece. Other companies near here were afraid to touch it, and upstate companies who do this restoration work don’t want to come all the way to Scarsdale just to do one window. I’m so glad we found Heathcote Restorations! Randy located a casement window from the same period, cut out the piece I needed, fit it into our window with some new glass panes, and painted it to match the rest of the mullions / dividers. The workmanship was excellent— you can’t even tell the new piece isn’t original to the house. Plus, the cost was very reasonable. So glad he could fit us in! Highly recommend.

Randy + team helped restore several deteriorated steel frame windows in our 1920’s-era Tudor home in the Bronxville, NY area. Shortly after we moved into our house we realized a number of windows had been neglected and were cracked, leaking, and bent. The windows are original to the home and were a big draw for us as the beauty and craftsmanship are difficult to replicate. We sourced several quotes for repair and ultimately found Heathcote to be both reasonable in price and thorough in service. Some competitors wanted to charge us more for less, and I was gong to have to hire other craftsmen to totally fix my issues! Working with Randy was awesome - he’s very knowledgeable about the windows and was able to explain to my wife and I why certain fixes may or may not be worth the money we would spend on it. The team was respectful, responsive, and courteous.Overall these guys were fantastic to work with and I’d happily hire them again. We’ve gotten lots of compliments from our neighbors on the “new” windows and can’t believe what a difference it made both inside and outside the home.

Heathcote Restorations is the best service for restoring and preserving leaded Tudor-style windows, including replacing broken stained glass. Randy is a real craftsman and takes pride in his work. He was very fair evaluating the most cost effective repairs. He was prompt to respond and do the work.

Hired Randy to power wash and stain/seal my Mahogany deck. Power washed it in the pouring rain with a smile on his face. He couldn’t return to finish the project for weeks due to the consistent rain we had for a month. He kept in touch weekly to let me know he was still on top of this project even tho it couldn’t be done due to the wet wood. When the weather cleared, he and his team did an amazing job making my deck look brand new and he completed it in a day! I highly recommend Randy. A pleasure to work with and a nice man as well.
