Really friendly staff and fantastic prices! There are always coupons online too. So much cheaper than a dealership and they do quality work that they stand behind. Also never once felt patronized by the staff as a woman which has happened at dealerships. 10/10 will definitely be taking my car here for repairs and check ups in the future!
Cliff an Damian are hard worker they went far an beyond for me
This Midas is great, very friendly staff and I was in and out and they even told me that I needed to get a different filter and another quart of synthetic oil. I came back 15 mins before closing and was welcomed with all smiles. Thank you so much for the great service, I will be coming back for every oil change!
This was my first time using Midas at this location. I have to admit that the service was superior and excellent from the phone call to the service. They were honest and did not push any services . I had to get back to work and so they even offered me a ride to work and picked me back up after the job was done. I work near by but the fact that they offered a ride was going above and beyond to me. I highly recommend this Midas and will for sure be back.
Drove to Wheaton over the weekend, and on my way there my car was acting very funny. I had to drive with my blinkers on and very slow until I got to my destination. I called Midas at like 3:00pm asking if they could look at my car, as I didn’t want to drive back to Chicago with a broken car in a snow storm. The gentlemen who answered the phone said they are closing at 4 but bring my car in and they will look at it. I toke my car to Midas (first time ever being at a Midas) and they toke my car in right away! I don’t know much about cars but the gentleman explained everything to me and let me know the problem. The gentleman said they can fix it and get me out within 45 minutes to an hour. I waited in the waiting room and my car was done after about 35 minutes! I made it back to Chicago and beat the snow storm! Plus I didn’t feel overcharged AT ALL! I would give more stars if I could! I was very happy and thankful for the gentleman that worked on my car and got me home safely!
Really superior service: cheerful, on schedule, explanatory. I use them for most of my engine work and feel very fairly treated.
Really honest and trustworthy guys. Have been going here for many years, always fair prices and good advice for my car troubles. Good mechanics are hard to find!
Very kind, welcoming. Thorough service. No surprises, upfront with everything. Had my car pulled up right outside the door and warmed up for me to hop in and go when done. Great service and value!
GREAT Service. Great people
Ive had them work on my Lincoln MKT and Chrysler 300 SRT. They have always been great to deal with
Always good service. Friendly and honest.
Professional service
Really honest and trustworthy guys. Have been going here for many years, always fair prices and good advice for my car troubles. Good mechanics are hard to find!
Honest people good service and done quickly. Got new tires here and I selected that I needed my tire pressure monitors checked, they came to me and informed me I didnt have any(MY BAD) so they dropped the cost from my bill. Satisfied with my service.
Very helpful and quick
What a wonderful crew! Timely service and very fair rates. Great experience!
All good guys, explain things thoroughly, feels like family run business, not a chain.
I am glad I found these guys for my car repairs. They are honest. It is hard to find honest mechanics and will highly recommend them!
Well to start off I showed up Saturday about 1:20 for my 1:30 appointment to get my oil changed and they didnt get to my car till after 2:30, so I sat in the very cold office and waited. When they finally finished my car and I went to leave my brakes no longer functioned. Apparently after I parked it a brake line blew. I was told the earliest they could look at it was Monday, but that a patch would cost $100, today a patch would cost $300 and that was if they could get the bleeder valve open (he repeatedly told me how rusted they were). If the bleeder valves broke it was gonna cost $625. Needless to say I removed my car from their lot and wont be giving them anymore of my money.
Honest mechanics
I recently had my front and rear brakes replaced here. They were courteous and efficient, and the job was fairly priced. I couldnt do both at one time, so they advised me which to do first and how long I could wait. I also get oil changes here and have never had anyone try to upsell me. I feel confident that they are honest and the work is done well.
Pros:-These guys are great...They are skilled, honest, patient and friendly...reasonable prices, I trust them.I have been to other mechanic (Midas also) who said to me: “your spark plugs need to be changed just because the manual recommend that at 75,000 miles”., but when I asked these guys, they told me that my spark plugs were fine, and in good shape, so there is no need to follow the recommendations blindly.Cons:-They are supposed to rotate the tires every time with the oil change (as they tell you orally), but unfortunately they don’t rotate the tires every time, and they won’t tell you that unless you dig deep and confront them seriously, to which their answer will be: “we rotate them every 10,000 miles and you were just here 3,000 miles ago”. I have no problem skipping tire rotation every now and then, but they should disclose this with their customers.
I called for a quote for an oil change with conventional oil and was quoted by Dave: $20.99 plus tax. Ended up coming to get the oil change at this location and the charges for my oil change came up to $33! That’s nowhere near $20.99 that I was quoted. Including tax would not be that much. Did not get my oil change. Was very disappointed. I do not want to be ripped off and overcharged with hidden fees.
They did a great job with my brakes. I asked them to install fog lights for me that I couldnt get in myself. They ended up changing my headlights with old ones I had taken out so I was driving around with a busted headlight.
I recently called up and asked if I could drop off 5 wheels with tires and 5 wheels without tires to have them checked to see if theyre straight or bent. I was told they could do that and quoted a price. I asked if I could drop them off that day and pick them up later that day or the following day. I was told that Id have to make an appointment because they didnt have space to have 10 wheels hanging around for more than the time required to do the work. So, I made an appointment for the following day.Upon arrival the next day at the appointment time - I reiterated what I wanted - check the wheels and tires and let me know which ones were bent/warped and which ones were straight. I specifically mentioned that I did not want them balanced because I was hoping to find 5 good wheels that I could paint, then mount and balance at a later date. Seemed fairly clear cut. When dropping off the wheels, I additionally provided a wheel adapter for the wheels because they have a wide bolt pattern (5/205) and most shops dont have the adapter to mount on the machine. I was told theyd call me in a couple of hours and they verified the phone number to contact me. I expected a call in about 2-3 hours to let me know that I could pick up the wheels. No one called me - which I didnt think about until after they were closed. Remember, I was told that they didnt want the wheels there for longer than required. The next day, I stopped by to pick up the wheels (it had been >24 hours). They told me that one wheel was okay and they balanced it (something I asked NOT be done). They told me all nine of the others were not straight - I knew two were bent but didnt expect to hear that they all were. I paid, picked up my wheels (loaded myself) and left. When I got home, I noticed that theyd damaged my wheel adapter - its warped at 3 of the 5 bolt studs.Based on the fact that they didnt do what I asked, took WAY longer than they communicated, didnt communicate the completion AND damaged my adapter (used by multiple other shops in the past without issue), I will not return. There are simply too many other options along Roosevelt to choose from and I find it hard to believe theyre worse than what I experienced.UPDATE: The owner of the shop called me - we discussed the situation and I was issued a refund for both the work and the damaged adapter. We agreed that they should have declined the job if it couldnt be completed in a way that was mutually beneficial.
Called in to Midas explaining my concern that my coolant system wasnt working properly. Chris told me to come on in and have it looked at - I was heading out of town for a week, and didnt want to drive 4 or 5 hours to find my engine overheating! They got me in immediately, ran some tests, lifted the car and tried to locate the leak/ issue. After about 20 minutes of looking they found that the coolant was working properly, and it turns out that the large pool of coolant I saw under my car was probably from someone else (that pool of coolant was green - turns out my coolant is red). Im a better safe than sorry type, so I was glad I had it looked at & thought it was worth paying for the inspection, but I didnt realize it would be free! Two things to note - 1) They walked me out to the garage and explained how everything worked, showed me that everything was fine, and even worked with me to try to figure out what had happened. 2) He didnt try to sell me on any of the stuff I didnt need. Showed me that my filters were pretty nasty, but explained that it was definitely something that could wait until my next oil change. I asked about tires for the winter, and he helpfully put together a quote and let me know the time frame he foresaw a need to change the tires, but said to look around for the best price because they would match it.I havent felt that I could trust a service advisor in a long time, but Im happy to say that they changed my mind. Prices and the circumstances of what happens to my car are things that I cant control, but dignity, quality of service and being willing to work with me on a respectable level is something I appreciate - and I felt that with my first experience.
Honest mechanics. Ran diagnostics for FREE for a check engine light. Determined vehicle was safe and cleared the check engine light. Very helpful staff. Same diagnosis at Honda will run you $89.95. Stick with MIDAS!
Good location but almost always busy. Try to make an appointment ahead of time or youll never get in. Thats my biggest problem with this place. Its very hard to get an appointment even for a simple oil change.
Warning...Stay away from this place before you end up with more problems after done fixing one.. they will make sure that you will come back and pay more money to them... 1st time brought my car in for oil change end up with checking engine light after that day. 2nd time brought in for alignment & tires end up with weird loud noise from front driver wheel and they denied it was from them which we never here that noise before brought to them. Like I said better just Stay away and find honest place to fix your car.
They broken the oil plug of the oil pan of my Hyundai and they refuse to replace it, they want to charge me ++260$ for replacement, the guy was very arrogant
I began frequenting this Midas after the Lombard Midas (closer to our house) changed management and the high level of customer service Id been accustomed to ended. In Wheaton I immediately began receiving the reliable, honest and efficient service Id come to expect from Midas! An A++ in my book!. Would refer anyone to these guys! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Nice staff, good prices, and they do good work,Best place to go to for all your auto repair work,
Best place for an honest repair. They give you a quote after they inspect the problem and stick to it. Dave is really great at breaking down and explaining what the issues are. Ive taken all 3 of our vehicles here over the years and never have had a bad experience.
Each time Ive brought my car here Ive been satisfied. They seem to do good work.I have an old car and they help me to differentiate between things that are normal for the age and things that actually matter to keeping it running safely. I never feel like theyve pressured me into making unnecessary repairs.
Thanks a lot bill for the quick service. Appreciate
They were polite, friendly, and professional. They looked at my car and fixed it in the same day and didnt try to sell me a bunch of extra repairs. Great experience!
Guy was going to call me back with an estimate but never did. Ended up replacing the thermostat myself and probably saved myself ablot of money.
David saved me a ton of money. I thought I had a bigger problem than I actually did. They worked through the problem, found a mistake I had made at home and fixed my Jeep for me. I had put a new thermostat in backwards. I highly recommend this shop. They are fair and honest. Thank you again to David and his team.
Excellent service, fair prices and great end results! Seriously, a really nice experience having them service my vehicle.
Have been going there for 6- 8 cars over 15 years. Generally very good service . Last few times even with appointment didnt get things done on time,Mike, the manager was extremely helpful and understanding so will still go back there
I love this particular location because they only sell you what you need at the time if you dont need it they wont sell it to you good honest sales staff
These guys are the best. I have an older car and they always give me multiple options. I trust them.
Professional and worth every penny. These guys run a great shop and always have.
I brought a coupon for a $20 oil change and told the guy what I wanted and signed a sheet indicating the synthetic blend option, and then after they bring the car inside they tell me they have to put the upgraded oil in it, even though Ive done this a bunch of times before at other places without it. They basically just didnt want to change my oil for $20 so they made up a story. Horrible place, I hope they go out of business.
Fixed my tire. Nice staff, good prices, decent waiting area
I was told by the dealer that I needed new brake pads. So, I took my car to have brakes checked out at Midas, Wheaton, IL. After driving around and looked at my brakes, they told me that I still have 70%-80% of life on both the front and rear brakes. The staff I talked to were so professional and honest, if I ever need brake work done, I know this is the shop for me.
They fixed the heat
Had an issue with tire installation, came back and they fixed it right up. They recommended new brakes and my ride has been better than ever.
I lived in Savannah, Georgia for a year and a half and during that time I went to a Midas down there to get some repair work done on my truck and during my move back to Wheaton a few months later I ran into the same problem. The mechanic in Savannah failed to do the job correctly. When back in Wheaton I brought my truck into this branch to have the same problem fixed. I was working with Corporate Midas to have the Savannah branch help pay for the work they didnt do correctly. Every employee at this Wheaton branch went above and beyond to help me through this process. The owner even called me to discuss the issue. They had nothing to gain from helping me out this much. They are up to their ears every time I go in there with things to work on. No average team would stretch to the measures they did to help me out when this busy all the time.Great people who do great work.
Went in to have my fleet vehicle serviced Bill started complaining about its to much work to get paid for oil change . I was like you are signed up with fleet company to have service done. He was like I also have the right to refuse service to. Was very embarrassing and I left Dont go here unless you are spending a lot of money they might treat you right. But personally if I dont get good customer service on small service wont trust work on big service .
They Always do a great job. But its always better to make an appointment rather than pop in.
Reliable, honest service; clear communication; they explained what was of higher priority and what could wait; trip was quicker and cheaper than anticipated.
Great service and they took the time to fix a dent on my car free of charge. Highly recommend this location.
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR. I came in for an oil change with an appointment and left an hour and a half later with broken wheel caps. The guys working there didnt know how to properly take off my wheel caps, so they used a screwdriver to pry them off. Instead of admitting they did anything wrong by breaking them, they just offered to glue the broken pieces back together. If you know how to change your oil by yourself, DO IT, dont waster your time and money by coming here.
Friendly professional
Affordable place for oil change in town
Dave and Chris always treat my car right thank you!!!
Great staff. I take all my cars there
Very helpful friendly
Very nice and helpful!
Great service
I trust these guys. Been going here for 10 years.
Price was fair for an oil change with coupon, staff was friendly. However it did take some time to get my car into the garage and worked on.
I made an appointment, He denied my appointment and asked my to drop off and come back next day for oil change.
Quick and reliable
