I would give zero stars if I could. My husband dropped State Farm back in January. I have (2) cars insured with Stewart Bohm and have been paying my premium on said cars for years. Instead of cancelling my husbands policy, they started deducting his premium from my bank account without my or my husbands permission. We spoke with Sandy there, I confirmed I never gave permission for them to charge my bank account for this vehicle, she asked to speak with my husband for verification. He then confirmed to Sandy that he did not ask State Farm to charge my bank account for his premium. He chose to drop State Farm for a vehicle he was no longer driving. He had insurance from a different, less expensive company through the company financing his car. Sandy said she would have to verify his vehicle was insured and then stop deducting for my account. I explained that insured or not, this vehicle has nothing to do with me and they cant just arbitrarily charge my account. She said she would look into it. 10 minutes later, she confirmed that she had nothing approving these charges in writing and went on to surmise that my husband must have called the agency and given them permission. That was a lie as I am the ONLY one on my bank account, and any decent company would have gotten permission from the account holder. I was not contacted by email or called for permission. My husband also confirmed that he never asked them to charge my account. He simply left them for a better agency. Instead of cancelling the policy, they snuck the premium onto my monthly installment payments. I am suing them, will report this to the BBB and every other consumers advocate site I can find. Now what is even more disturbing is that Sandy called me yesterday morning, confirmed that she had nothing in writing authorizing the drafts against my account and said that she spoke with Sandy O. ( another agent) who also didnt remember getting permission, and said all she could do was stop billing me. A refund would not be issued. I told her I would be escalating this legally and she said then I will just tell them your husband gave me permission. So essentially she told me that she would fabricate the circumstances. My husband CANT authorize anything from my bank account. I am the sole person on the account. She got really nasty with me...telling me that I was putting her in an awkward position and that I should get the money from my husband. Even though she admitted the mistake, she refused to be accountable. She could not grasp the fact that my account should be secure and that drafts cant be billed against my account without my permission just because they have my account information. They didnt even send me a notice that they were adding a vehicle to my monthly installments! My husband called again today and spoke with Sandy O. who knew nothing about the situtation. Ive left emails for Stewart Bohm directly.I will update should there be any resolution.

Been going through unapproved charges against my account with no resolution. They charged my account without authorization for a vehicle my husband let lapse. Said vehicle hasn’t been driven in a year and while Stewart’s agency admitted it was their fault, and committed to paying me back, they haven’t. After escalating this to State Farm Corporate directly, they changed their story and said my husband told them to pull the premium from my account!Never had authority to do so and can’t find a dialogue or written authorization. Additionally, I am the only one on my bank account! So without approval they added a vehicle, without permission to be covered because they had the account information. Their reply... “sorry but not paying you back but we will stop billing you”! I’ve already hired an attorney for this fraudulent charge and thankfully they are working on a percentage. But now I have to sue them for criminal and emotional damages.

The agent and staff are amazing. Helpful and honest. I have been with this office for 40 plus years.

Stewart has been the family insurance agent for over the last 20 years. All I ever needed was to pick up the phone and call. Talking to Sandy is just like talking to another of my family members.
