Avoid hiring this company. They seem to only know how to submit plans for the state via boiler plates. They (Nick is the engineer i spoke with 80% of the time) seem to not understand the law as they advised my contractors to simply change parts of state-approved plans without telling the state. Had i not caught this in time it would have wasted over $125,000 as the inspector would have deemed everything illegally built. On top of all that, what the engineers here dont screw up with the plans theyll screw up with laziness. The engineers will NEVER inspect the contractors work, and they are contractually bound to do so, unless they have a bigger company whos requiring them to drive to their site and your site just so happens to be on the way. This caused me 10s of thousands in court fees to have improper work fixed. And MTS will deliberately obstruct your legal action against the contractor, for business reasons, and they know their way around the court system due to the number of lawsuits theyre part of.MTS screens your phone calls after they have your money, and wont talk to you unless you stop in unannounced. Its worth paying anything any other company is asking to avoid Marathon Technical Services. These are sleezy businessmen.
My husband and I have worked with Nick at MTS for several years. He has helped us with the development of our business as far as engineering goes and he has been fantastic to work with. He’s extremely thorough, and very efficient.
