The receptionist is super sweet so definitely a great start!! I absolutely LOVED the guy who did my dip nails. Exactly what I wanted and was communicating with me the entire time making sure it was what I wanted!However… when it came to my pedicure I was not very pleased. When it came to the painting my toenails part, it was a let down. My toenails aren’t even fully painted and you can see through the color on certain points. She also got nail polish all over my sandal and cleaned it up with the acetone which ruined that part of the shoe. Extremely let down with the pedicure.

I come here regularly and I always have amazing service when I come. I once came and they had no water to offer me, which was absolutely fine, but when I returned the next time they remembered and had a water ready for me. They’re so sweet!

Had a little girls day and wanted to get my nails done for the first time since COVID. Saw a salon called Modern Nails. I was a little skeptical, but I thought I should give them a shot.I was surprised how nice everything was inside, good interior had some charm to it. Receptionist was nice walked us through everything after we said it was our first time there. I didnt want to go too fancy my first time so just got some simple dip nails. They sat me down, offered me a drink and got right to work. Most salons I go to there is a lot of chit chat between nail techs making them go slower, but they were very efficient. It felt like they were not wasting my time.Overall had a really nice time. Satisfied with how my nails came out and I liked how clean everything was. I was a little nervous in the back of my mind going places with my girlfriends because COVID is still a risk, but people were spaced out here and I saw them disinfecting after every patron. I would definitely go again on my own.

Decided to try out a new place recommended by a family member and had the worst experience with them. Came immediately to Modern Nail to have them fixed and as usual, Nina did an amazing job!! She recreated my nails into exactly what I wanted without questioning my color, shape, or size. Love them!! Highly recommend!!!

THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!My daughter and I came in around 6pm (they close at 7pm) and wanted to get some fresh dipped nails. King happily greeted us at the door, offered us a drink to sip on while he assisted us with our nail selection. Not once did we ever feel like we were getting the “last client rush”, but instead felt like 2 queens swarmed with techs that all took their time making us look and feel so pretty.Things I absolutely LOVED about this salon and why I will continue to return:1) Their hours are later than most and they’re open on Sundays. Good for the working folks.2) You are asked to fill out a service request sheet. What services you want with prices included. King wrote down our colors/designs as well. We showed him photos of shapes/styles we wanted.2 a) Due to the service request sheet, there was no miscommunication of what we wanted and no awkward upselling mid way through. (I hate saying no to an upsell in fear that they may not complete the service the same)3) They were all so so sweet. Our techs were King, Linh, Tu, and Justin. Each were very friendly and engaged. Also so so gentle with my little one and treated her like such a princess!4) Their prices are on point, even offering a $5 coupon on their website!I can’t say enough about this place. I typically don’t get my nails done often.. it’s a luxury expense and I don’t ever feel like I get what I paid for. That is not the case with Modern Nail!! I’m going back for my second visit today due to the amazing experience I had before.Keep up the excellent work you guys!

The last two times I’ve been to this salon have not been pleasant. Justin did my nails once, it was horrible. He doesn’t pay attention and shaves the nail way too much. He shaved down too far on every nail. This time I had a tech who seemed in a rush. She cut my cuticles while shaving my nails down. I won’t be coming back here again. Tina & Mia have always been great doing my nails. I recommend them if you come to this salon. They take their time and are very sweet.

This is by far the best nail salon in Watauga! Ive been to several other salons here and no other place is on par with their quality and service. I have had great manicures and pedicures every time Ive come here. Staff is very nice. They dont insult you like some.other places and their work lasts! Nina did my nails this last time and she listened to all my feedback and made my nails look beautiful.

I’ve gone to them a couple times! Tu did my nails today and let me tell you, she is AMAZING! My coffin shape is killer. She noticed imperfections and fixed them without me asking, she was absolutely amazing! I have been about 5 times this far and will be going back! Right down the street from my house and welcoming! They even helped me pick colors and gave me a mimosa and water! I highly recommend!!!

My nail technician was Mindy, and she did exactly what I wanted. She even did another layer when it didnt HER standards. I have a picture of what I wanted and what I got. 10/10 would recommend

I recently moved to Texas and I looked for a long time for a nail tech. I started coming to modern nails abt 6 months ago when I moved here and have yet to find somewhere better! King is an absolute gem and always does my nails with a critique eye! I’ve also done pedicures here as well as getting eyelashes filled and each service I have been completely satisfied! GET AN APT KING ASAP! He the man!!

Dustin did my nails, and though he did them quickly he was so unprofessional, on his phone the whole time, no talking, which I can love with but not the phone thing, I have never gotten my nails done by someone so unprofessional. And to top it all off he let me leave with wet nails which were messed up before i walked out the door but I’m to upset to even ask for them to be fixed... I may come back here, but I’ll NEVER have Dustin do my nails. I love leaving $20+ tips for nail technology talents but can honestly say this is the first time i left $0 and don’t feel bad about it.

The salon was decorated very nicely I was greeted immediately when I walked through the door. They are currently having a deal any service over $35 is 25% off so I took advantage and got a premium pedicure and dip nails done. They have both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available as well as a drink menu, I ordered a mimosa which was mixed very well and delicious. My toe nails look amazing Im very pleased. My nails are very well shaped and beautifully dipped.

My friend and I came to this nail place last week for a manicure and pedicure. (keep in mind we had set an appt a few days prior) Our appointment was at 5:15 and we didn’t leave the salon until almost 8:30 pm!! While we were getting our nails done, we heard MULTIPLE people say their nails weren’t even lengths or were crooked (including mine and my friends) my nail tech kept telling me it was fine/straight to get out of fixing it.*This has been my worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had.

The atmosphere and service were great. I was disappointed with the quality of my polish on my toes. I sat and got my nails done for over an hour after my pedi and the toes didnt dry because the polish had been diluted w acetone and was very thin.

Quick to be seated, professional, followed COVID protocols, respectful, manager was attentive to both of us even though I was there to hang out with my lady. My appointment was at 2:30 and I didnt see the nail tech until 2:50. Whats the point of making an appointment?There is lack of communication here. I told three different people what color I wanted. I had to go back to the front to read the color of the red I wanted. Why couldnt they tell each other? The first person was right there with me when I chose.The nail tech, Dustin, needs an attitude adjustment. He slammed things on the table every time. I almost walked out. He slammed the UV machine, the nail tools. He was writing on a paper that he placed ON TOP of my nails. Also, my nails were done very thick with the dip color. Not pretty. This was my first time there. I will never go back.

Been going there for a little under a year now and my nails have always looked great.

I went to get a gel mani/pedi (same polish on hands/feet). I received a pedicure where my toenails weren’t even shaped or filed. I didn’t receive gel polish even though I asked if they were using gel polish during the pedicure. I then decided not to get gel on my nails because the toes were already done incorrectly. Toes and hands did not dry completely after sitting for 20 min to dry. There were no fans for drying non-UV cure polish, ie regular nail polish. I am on vacation and wanted to look nice; the polish didn’t even last the night. I am glad I only wasted $60 and not more. Would not recommend this place to new customers. Try one of the other nail bars.

Service was attentive, welcoming, and thoughtful! Im not a resident of the area, but they sure made me wish I were. The pedicure and manicure I had were carefully done. The nail tech constantly asked if the water/towel temperature and if massage pressure were comfortable. A couple mimosas later, and Im super pleased. Thanks for a great addition to this gem of a vacation.

Been coming to this place since they first opened and they’re the best! They have reopened up since quarantine and have taken extra safety measures to ensure a safe environment. I wouldn’t wanna go anywhere else!!

First time here, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in everyone was so nice and helpful. The front desk girl and nail techs were awesome and I got exactly what I came in for. My house is 20 mins away, but I will definitely make the drive here again!

Went in to have my dip nails taken off and get a basic manicure. I was thrown around from person to person and sat at a dirty table. I had gone in three weeks before and had my nails taken off and was not charged for that. However, today I was charged $10 for them to get taken off and separately for the manicure. When I was done I stood at the front of the store for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my payment. The manicure I received was awful and I had to come home and fix my nails myself. I have been here several times and usually love it, but after this disappointing and overpriced experience I will not be coming back.

I had a wax here before and loved the cleanliness of the facility, so decided I would give a pedicure a try. Amazing! I got a pedicure and a manicure. I was attended to quickly. Even though I visited towards the end of the shift, I felt that I received the same effort from the technicians as if I had showed up when the salon opened. Kudos to Jhung and Joy!😁 This salon is worth a visit.

What a wonderful experience! Michael took great care of us up front, and our technicians were definitely experts. Best foot massage ever. The salon is **gorgeous**. Amazing design, great atmosphere. The massage chairs recline--nice touch. My foot bath was a little cold but they took care of as soon as I mentioned it!!

I just got my nails done and they were not socializing at all. Very unprofessional. The lady that did my nails made them way to thick and made my fingers very red because she would rub my cuticles with the nail filler over and over again. Modern Nails Lounge Spa is the place to be in the DFW area. Upon walking into the establishment, I was welcoming greeted by Ms. Annie. The most friendly receptionist ever. They have a FULL BAR that is included in the service, along with the massage chairs and top tier customer service from the nail technicians, this place ultimately felt like Heaven on Earth. Ms. Mindi was my nail technician and she conducted herself professionally and paid attention to detail on what I asked for the product was far beyond what I asked for.
