We arrived at this place for a meeting. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we shall definitely come back again. Recommended.

I ordered a biryani, Naan and panner tikka masala. The biryani and naan were good, but the panner tikka masala was really really tasteless. They added some flavors and spices and bought me the same one, but it didnt reach my expectation. I mean the price for the curry is 13$, I felt it was too much for a tasteless and flavor less Curry.Ok, this is the second time writing a review in the space of 10 days. I ordered naan, panner butter masala and gobi for take away. Manchuria and curry were good, but they gave me naan which was not fresh. I definitely say that they just microwaved the old one and packed in my order. Its really disgusting, I mean we could easily say whether the food is fresh or the stale one. They need to treat their customers well and try to fix it.

Kumars service is very personalized. He actually called us to confirm our order. The food was very good and just as we ordered. Chicken curry, tandoori chicken, okra. My wife loves it because it is authentic south Indian cooking. I would recommend Masala on Dodge Drive in Warrenville. Thank you Kumar!

First time ordered food in this restaurant. Food was smelling bad and spoilt. They provided completely different item from what I ordered and that looked like leftovers and prepared weeks back. If you’re running out of business close the restaurant rather than serving such food. Will you serve such food to your family.

The buffet items were okayish. The service was a bit bad. We entered the restaurant at 1.30 while the buffet is supposed to end at 3 PM. The never filled the Vegetable Biryani Pot right from the point when we entered. We asked for them to fill it back. They replied us that theyll get Biryani to our table, which never happened. They did not serve bread until we asked them explicitly to do so. The hariyali chicken was really bad and fish fry was worse. Ive always heard people saying that no buffet could go wrong with desserts but these people surpassed that sentence to serve very sweet uncooked Jamun. Overall, this is really a very bad place if you are looking for some good lunch place.

I meet with friends this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite spot to eat. I go there routinely. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the charge is fair. I enjoy going in this place over a nice dinner.

Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent. Nan was just right. Definitely order ahead, stopped in, told 15 to 20 min. More like 30, oh well.

We came here for the lunch buffet. It offered a large variety of delicious sweet and savory dishes. The chef and staff were very welcoming and hospitable. We will certainly come again when we are in the area.

Good food BUT fraudulent billing practicesFood is good, the price is appropriate. However, we have had more than 2 interesting experiences with billing practices, when the restaurant charged us more than the correct amount. The most recent experience was in July 2017, when they charged over $17 as tip for $13.99 buffet lunch (for 1 guest) by changing the bill after I had left. I confronted them a few days later on seeing the charges on my credit card. They promptly refunded the unfair tip amount but did not apologize. The bill is attached.

This place is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. when I want to go to a fair dinner, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. outstanding and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.professional team, and great spirit. Great experience for a special occasion with family and friends. They offered a large variety of buffet. Food was spectacular followed by awesome creamy dessert served by Chef Kumar. Orange creamy dessert was the delicacy in the party. It was unique and delicious.The staff was friendly and very attentive especially Chef Kumar made it very easy helping me organize the party from beginning till the end. All our friends were extremely happy. Overall, I would definitely recommend Masala as the best restaurant for dining and parties.

I dont care for really spicy Indian food, but took a chance on this Indian restaurant right next door to my hotel. I ordered the Butter Chicken - and oh MY GOSH! It was so creamy and flavorful and delicious! The chicken was so tender it seemed to melt in my mouth. The flavor was savory curry and not spicy. the staff were attentive and service was fast. I would definitely go back.

We had a community party at their Banquet hall. Kumar was very helpful . He helped us with menu planning and all the requirements beforehand. On the day of the party the food was hot ,delicious and supplied as needed. Had a great experience and will recommend 100%

Recently the management changed. The food quality, customer service and the availability is not that great. Also the buffet price got increased to $18. They have to improve a lot better. If I hear or experience any better in future, I will revise my rating.

Have been looking for a quality south Indian food (Tamilnadu style) and finally landed up in Masala restaurant to place order for my party. Kumar and team did a phenomenal job of getting the right taste and quality in all the 15 food items delivered both Veg & non-veg starting from appetizers to dessert. Delivery was prompt with right follow-up and frequent updates. Food is fresh because they start cooking in the early morning for the day by using all fresh ingredients without any frozen items. Overall food was highlight of the party and every dish was unique in taste and quality.

They changed owners. The food is not as good, and they charge too much. I ordered paneer butter masala, it was way too salty, missing the sweet and nutty flavor, and it had too much food dye. Everything had way, way too much salt. Maybe bring the old owners back. Really miss the previous owners.

Excellent food and very friendly staff! We were a little hesitant to go in because of the lack of customers but we chalked it up to being late on a Wednesday night. All the food we ordered was freshly cooked and very tasty. The Andhra chicken and the Aloo Palak were surprisingly good! I enjoyed the ambience and the music. We will be going back!

Weve been eating here for over 6 years now but the quality seems to have degraded a lot. At best its barely eatable food and mostly a miss. At our last dinner we had to leave most of the food and come back hungry on a Friday night. No one cared to ask why we left most of food. We ordered veggie platter and all items were dripping with oil. The chana was just okay and paneer was too hard to chew. Rice was stale. We wont be coming back here anymore.

I love Indian food and I was super excited to go to this place but it was not as good as expected.We went for dinner and first of all they didnt put any appetizer, nothing only water.The entree we ordered was supposed to contain multiple items but it had very little variety.The chicken biryani was too spicy and it had only few pieces of chicken.The staff was good and friendly.Too expensive,it does not worth the price.

While traveling to Chicago we ate at this restaurant and had a disappointing experience. Dishes were good but their naans looked and tasted like the ones that you buy at Target in the frozen food section. In addition, there was a gathering of some sort in their big hall next door and several kids from the party kept running through the dining hall for the entire duration we were there. Restaurant staff made no attempts to keep the kids in the party area and didnt seem to care. Not a place I would eat again.

Apparently its very authentic -- they typically say something tastes just like their mom makes it. :)It is rarely busy. Its inexpensive for a buffet.

We organized our sons first birthday party at Masala recently. We booked their banquet hall with the lunch buffet for our guests. Their service was extremely poor and they were totally unprepared. They didnt provide silverware and drinks so our guests had to eat meat with a plastic fork/knife and they had to run to the buffet/general area to grab water. It took a while for them to bring silverware and drinks and by that time some of our guests had even finished eating. We were in a hurry to catch a flight and nothing sank in to us until we spoke to some of our guests later that week. They were very unhappy with the service and we felt bad that we paid a hefty price for the buffet including a good tip. Since we were in a hurry to catch the flight and we couldnt process how the service was because we were overwhelmed with our guests to we said everything was fine when we got out of the banquet hall that day. Since many of our guests complained about the poor service, we called the person from Masala who was responsible for arranging this banquet and got the owners contact information/asked the owner to call us. The owner called and us we explained to him what happened and he asked sorry and told us that he will make up for the issue and will try to compensate it so he asked us come to Masala during that weekend. That weekend we messaged him as well called him/Masala but no response. The owner spoke as though he cares about their customers and wanted our business but never bothered to address it. Well another fake conversation. We will not go back to Masala and already most of our friends know their poor service so they wont go to Masala either. Poor service and fake taking about how they care about their customers. They reality is they dont care!

Ive been here many times. Every time I ask for no spice and every time I end up with a meal so hot I cant finish it and an upset stomach. I have eaten and loved Indian food for over 12 years so I am not a novice or unable to handle spice. They just over do it and dont seem to listen to the customer. Thankfully their are other good Indian options in and around Wheaton.

I went for dinner and had Chill Gobi and Goat Fry for appetizers, they were really good. Especially Goat fry, i felt like proper south Indian mutton chukka. Milton himself made this dish. For entree, i had Onion rava masala dosa and so big and good. Overall the food and service were excellent. I will visit the restaurant again.

My family was at Morton Arboretum hiking for the weekend. Masala was a perfect way to end the day. The kids loved it, service was on point, and food was comparable to Devon establishments in Chicago. We will definitely come back when were out this way.

Usually very pleased with this place, both service and food wise, but looks as though management has changed, and so has the quality of their food and service. Very slow to be served. Ordered a paneer dish and chicken dish for appetizers, and the chicken didnt come out until after we were almost done with our main dishes. The lamb vindaloo is usually a favorite, but it lacked in flavor. Has potential, but will not go back anytime soon.
