Sigh. I wish wed checked the Google reviews.We need a FEMA Flood Certificate. We paid $595 just before Thanksgiving and John showed up a few days later and was very friendly.We waited the 60 days suggested by the initial email, and then followed up so we could get flood insurance in order to get a home equity line.After many phone calls and several emails, nothing has moved. John picked up a few times and promised to check the status back at the office, but nothing further has happened. Now we cant get anyone to pick up.3/10/20 Update: After threatening a negative BBB review, we finally got the certificate. At least the money wasnt wasted, it is a bummer we have to reapply for a loan though.Looks like well have to wait on the home equity line, and were less than pleased about having wasted almost $600. What a bummer.

I had the same issues as everyone else. Terrible lack of communication. It took much, much longer than expected. I called repeatedly and no one would return my calls. No one ever answers the phone. No one returns emails. Owners voicemail is frequently full and he screens the calls before he even answers. Very disappointed.

We feel EMCC LLC. took advantage of us and should be held accountable for what he is doing to us, and others whom have posted in regards to his services for flood inspection. I understand you will have to take my word on a lot of this, however, it makes me sick people like this are able to continually get away with scamming people so please take head. We had a survey conducted December 3rd, 2018 for FEMA in regards to a flood zone, my associate Edward B. conducted the contract with EMCC. The inspection went fine and we were told that the paper work would be expedited and we would receive a response within two months. We understood with the government shutdown this may have been delayed and waited until June. We had called numerous times and were instructed by the owner, EMCC LLC that the process was still ongoing and we would be updated when new information was obtained from FEMA. After SEVEN months we figured we’d sort this out on our own. I gave EMCC LLC several calls, of which he answered twice. I was understanding over the phone although it was clear that they had botched this job.I requested some form of proof that he actually submitted the LOMA. EMCC LLC. proceeded to blame FEMA and said he’d get that information to me on the coming Friday. He never sent over the details and has since dodged every phone call of mine. We decided to test if he was dodging me personally, turns out the theory was correct. He answered my associates phone call immediately and proceeded to lie to him and say that the service never happened and did not know what we were talking about. However as stated previously, he cashed our check and previously showed that we were in his system and that the survey was in fact conducted.We believe that EMCC LLC never actually submitted the LOMA at all, realized that he messed up, and is unwilling to do right by us with a full refund and the measurements so we can do the LOMA ourselves. FEMA has no record of our property and we are currently escalating the process through them.We opened a fraud report with the BBB, and opened an official report with the state board of engineers and surveyors in regards to EMCC’s behavior. We believe he does this for smaller jobs or people he suspects he can take advantage of. It’s hard to truly say. Other sketchy information: we’ve driven to his official address which is literally a plot of land with a trailer on top of it (good luck getting a in person one on one, in process of finding his personal address for potential small claim), his voicemail is full on numerous occasions with contact, so don’t think you’re ever getting through to him if he doesn’t instantly answer, his office manager has not picked up her phone EVER since having this job done, always voicemail no matter if the number is completely new or not.All around disappointed with this company. We’ll remove this if you do us right, EMCC LLC, we want the measurements bare minimum, you owe us that money back and are in the process of reversing that payment. You should be ashamed of yourself doing this to us. It’s one thing to have terrible service, we have all had it, but it’s another to be blatantly taken advantage of and lied to. Go ahead and reply to this saying we were not customers, that’s why 495$ was CASHED/deposited signed to EMCC LLC.Furthermore, EMCC LLC is threatening legal action over this posting to intimidate us to remove this posting and has continually said that we did not conduct business with him. We own the property and our business associated Edward B signed the contract information.

Terrible communications. Cant understand why he wont respond. Nice enough guy, but I had to move on after nearly 8 months just trying to get a project going. Mailbox is always full, doesnt return text messages. Too bad, really wanted to do business with him.
