Have been dealing with water dripping down the chimney every time it rained for a few months, And finally decided that it was enough when the ceiling started to discolour around the chimney area. Called Matt and his team and they were able to come take a look Relatively quickly. They replaced the chimney cap as well as did an inspection which found more damage that they were able to fix for a reasonable price. Everyone that I worked with from this company exceeded my expectation in professionalism and courtesy! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Had water leaking into our chimney and down to the fireplace. Matt and Jon came out and spent a good half day installing a new cap and crown and repointing the mortar on the shoulder. About a month later during a week of constant rain we had a few more drips making it in. The guys came out again and spent a good portion of the day investigating and performing a thorough water test. They made adjustments needed by eating the cost and installing a chimney cap/damper combo. These guys seem to be ready to do whatever it takes to get the job done right and customer satisfied. Aside from that, these guys are fun to be around and a pleasure to have in your home. Would highly recommend!

Great doing business with these guys. Polite. Professional. On time. Good rates. I have read the other reviews about Premier not being a good business. I did not experience anything like those reviews and I do recommend them.July 2020 I contacted Premier Chimney and Roofing to come sweep and inspect my chimney. I had learned about them in a local advertisement mailer. I read the good things about them in online reviews. I had a pleasant conversation with them in scheduling the appointment. The technician came out, swept, inspected, and showed me before and after pictures of his work. He showed all the cracks in my tiles and took the time to explain what my options were to fix it and the severe risks of continuing to use the fireplace. We scheduled to have Premier re-line and re-cap my chimney. They explained Heatshield, the product chosen to re-line it.During the winter, my wife noticed water coming down the chimney through our wood burning insert. Premier was dealing with a temporary COVID related shutdown and I had to use another company for the fix. Matthew, Premiers owner, wanted to see the job through; wanted to make it right. He didnt hesitate to review the work order and reimburse for the work his company would have come out to redo. Thats good business. I will definitely use Premier in the future for my chimney needs.

After putting 50% down on a project over a month ago, Premier Chimney and Roofing has not been proactively working to get our job done. We were told interior work on a gas insert and work to install a cricket would take 2 days. The initial days we were scheduled for were rainy. They asked to reschedule for 4 weeks out! We followed up and asked if the interior work could still be completed on time. One person came out for four hours and started the project. It sat like that for a week. A week later two guys came out and finished the brickwork and installation. Another week has come and gone and we were just told they could give us one days labor in a week or two back to back days two weeks from now to do the roofing work/install the cricket. I really cant recommend this company based on their professionalism and punctuality or scheduling responsiveness. I will update if we have a positive resolution.

The team was very professional and cleaned up everything from our old chimney. They installed a B Vent. It is great!

Beware of this company!My wife and I reached out to Premier Chimney and Roofing in December 2019 to have repair work done on our chimney. At first, communication was smooth and we were scheduled fairly promptly to have our install started. I’d like to add that Premier charges 50% up front, prior to start-work. Not an unorthodox practice from what I gather, but hear me out...Our job was scheduled over two different days; day one was to rip out all of the old hardware, day two to reinstall all the new hardware.They came out and gutted our chimney and left for day one. We got a call the following day, when they were scheduled to come back and install our new firebox to let us know that they ordered the WRONG firebox! It was in the 20s outside…this is where the communication really started falling apart. Over the course of the next two months, we were rescheduled roughly a half-dozen times. Our phone calls being answered was fairly hit and miss and there were periods where we simply wouldn’t get a return call to get our install expedited (we literally had a giant hole in the side of our house). The install finally concluded in early February 2020 Oh by the way, the wrong doors for our firebox arrived, which delayed the completion even further.Fast forward six months. My wife and I are selling our home and the home inspector called out a slight lean in the upper portion of our chimney and required a licensed contractor to verify its structural integrity. Our buyer’s agent requires a written report of the findings to add in with our closing documents (the VA is VERY strict). Knowing that Premier warranties most of their work for “life” and our specific hardware is warrantied for 15 years, I was confident that a quick call to Premier (made on 15 August) would get our situation straightened out quickly.Not so much. I called Jon, our installer, several times to ask what I should do. He said they’d get us taken care of “soon”. A week went by and I never heard back from anybody, so I called the office number. No answer…mailbox full, can’t leave a message. Over the next few days, I tried back over a half-dozen time; same thing, no answer, mailbox full. I e-mailed the company number twice – no answer. I finally left Jon a message again telling him that I needed Matthew Santiago, the owner, to give me a call ASAP. I got a message from him (24 August) not even 20 minutes later stating that he was “on his way to our house after a stop at the bank”. He showed up about an hour and a half later, sent me some text messages stating that it’s just expansion and contraction of the siding due to temperatures and the chimney was fine.Today is August 28th. I have reached out to Matthew, Jon, and the main office number over a dozen time since he visited my house four days ago to request the report of his findings to provide to my buyer’s agent…crickets. Neither Matthew nor Jon are answering their phones or returning my messages when I call. Nobody has answered their company phone in over two weeks and nobody returns calls or messages to that line, either.My agent, at this point, is hoping that the VA attorney handling my closing will accept the text messages from Matthew Santiago admitting that there isn’t any structural concern on our chimney as a written testimony and avoid us going into default on our contract with our buyers.COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! All of this over a simple piece of paper with a few words typed on it and a signature.Premier Chimney and Roofing cannot be trusted to back up their customers when they need them the most…they don’t stand by their word or warranty promises. BE CAREFUL with this company and Matthew Santiago! Next stop, the Better Business Bureau.

Dishonest! Do NOT trust Matt or this company! Matt texted our real estate agent promising to take $200 off the price of a chimney repair because he failed to show up for a scheduled appointment. We wanted the work done prior to closing on our new home, and his no-show caused significant problems with the closing process. After the work was completed (after closing), he told our agent that he’d refund the $200 as soon as he received the original check, which had been held in escrow. We trusted him to do this and his promise to do so was documented via text to our agent, but not in written contract. We didn’t think he would risk damaging his reputation and credibility over $200, but my agent and I were fools to trust him. Three months later, Matt hasn’t refunded our money or returned our texts or phone calls. He took the money and ran. Overall, Premier has been dishonest, unprofessional, and working with them was been a significant hassle during the home buying process.

I worked with Mathew the owner for 1 day and called it quits. Hes unprofessional and a raging alcoholic. He destroyed the property we were working on that day and was very disorganized. Upon leaving the job....mathew began to make threats to myself over messenger and phone calls because what else can you expect from a simple minded being such as himself. Dont use this company at all.

Anyone else having a difficult time with this so called company? They took my money $8,000 and ran away. And the job isnt even close to being done. He didnt even try to work things out, with the customer Breach Of ContractThey did a quarter of the job, and got away with full pay. So now i have an unfinished fireplace, thanks Matt for a job well done. Hope you are proud of yourself.

After calling I delt with some one named Victoria she was very kind and professional. Its good to get a hold of some on that wants to help you. Great buzz to deal with good customer service with flexible scheduling! Well thats my 2 cents.

The 100$ fee was waived being Im out of there radius, I appreciated that. Someone came to view the roof. Never received email regarding the cost or information pertaining to getting a new roof. I called and was told email would be sent and nothing. Follow up call placed and left voicemail thanking them for coming out and no need to contact me. NEVER RECEIVED THAT EMAIL PRIOR TO FOLLOW UP CALL 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have a second home in Virginia Beach. I called for information on a Chimney and Roofing issue I was having. I spoke with a Victoria and she was super helpful and courteous on the phone. Im surprised at all of the positive reviews based on my experience. Over a month ago I had someone out to look at my chimney to give me an estimate for repairs. He said he got the pictures he needed and it would be a few days. Three weeks later I called and left a message with all of my information and that I never got an estimate. No one called me back. A week and a half after that I called again and talked to someone. She said she would have it resolved for me in a few hours. I still got nothing and no phone call back about it either. I need to get this fixed and these are the people recommended to me or I wouldnt have wasted so much time on them. If they didnt want the job I wish they would have just told me. If thats not the case I dont understand what the problem is.

Very unprofessional service. We took time off of work to be home for a quote and consult and the company never showed up and never returned our messages. Do not rely on them.

My wife and I highly recommend Premier to anyone looking for outstanding fireplace service. They did a very thorough cleaning and inspected the fireplace. They had pictures and everything. My wife and I loved the service from start to finish. I told the guys not to worry about shoe booties, but they insisted on wearing them anyway. They really cared. Outstanding!!

When chimney was opened, we ran into additional problems which took longer to complete. Matt Santiago is an awesome person. He was concerned about making everything right and worked to that end. He was very courteous and was willing to explain each step and how best to correct the situation.  I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS HIS TYPE OF WORK DONE!!!  He was meticulous in his work and when he was finished, everything was nice, beautiful, clean and professional. The appointment was completed well within the time frame they gave me. Before leaving, Matthew explained everything that was found during the inspection and answered all my questions.
