Mr. Curtis runs a top notch operation that is very efficient and very reasonably priced. Ive seen him go over above and beyond to help someone out even though hes just getting ready to close or heading out the door to help someone else. He is fully experienced with all types of cuts and types of meat I believe this is a family business that continues to thrive simply because of kindnesses.
This was my first trip to a deer processor. Mr. Curtis was straight forward and to the point! The shop was clean and he was easy to talk too. All of my venison was packaged perfectly and exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be returning!
These guys are the best. Soo customer friendly and very helpful. Very fast work in/out same day. My taxidermist love how the cape out my deer for mounting and this is my second year going to them because of their great work..

Have nothing but great things to say about these guys and gals! Top notch butchers! They went above and beyond to get both my deer cut and packed quickly since I had a long trip back to mass! Thanks again from me the masshole!
I brought my deer to Curtis just shortly after 1 p.m. on a Sunday. They had my deer processed and ready to go by 4 p.m. Ive never had a deer butchered so quickly. Thanks for the excellent service!
I have used Curtis for the past three years and in the beginning I was pleased with the service. However that has all changed this year. I tried to have a short conversation regarding a deer that was frozen due to 9 degree temperatures overnight. Darrell would not give me a couple of minutes because as he stated if hes talking on the phone hes not cutting deer and just would not even discus things with me. He was very rude and very miserable.....he just does not have any people skills. Too many rules that he demands everyone to abide by. I am sure others have had similar problems with him.Hes a cranky old man that turns into Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at a moments notice. We usually have 8-12 deer per year that go to a butcher, he will no longer get out business. If you cant stand the heat Darrell then get he hell out of the kitchen.
Incredibly fast and friendly service ! Great people to do business with - thank you !! 👍👍👍
Curtis Cutting has motivated me to butcher my own deer. I brought in a very large doe that conservatively weighed around 160 lbs. I got back roughly 40 lbs of meat. When I asked why the amount of meat I received was so low, they told me the deer I brought in was “shot to s***” and the front quarter of the deer was ruined. I found this interesting because I shot the deer with one round through the heart. I don’t know whether or not they keep a large portion of the deer people bring in, or if they confused my deer with another person’s, but either way is unacceptable. I suggest that people find another place to bring their deer to get processed, or learn to do it themselves. I’m choosing the latter. On a side note, everyone working there was very surly except for the guy in the bucket hat. So don’t expect to be treated decently.
Have had deer processed through several different butchers and Curtis Custom Cutting has been by far the best. Every deer Ive had them do for me has been delicious. Ive grown up with rumors about all these old wives tales about what makes the venison taste gamey and I can now say with confidence its how the meat is processed. Ive never had a deer from him taste gamey at all. He prefers you dont skin the deer yourself, he does it. He just wants the deer field dressed. The price is very fair and the speed of service is excellent. Within 24-48 hours depending on how busy he is has been my experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Nice, easy , knowledgeable...
