Elehan Place is a great place in general. You have therapists that your disposal and weight no more than a half hour to talk to somebody when you need somebody. They have your therapist, you have your case manager, and all the staff thats on hand is trained in therapy. But Suzanne the provider that does your med management is a very unprofessional, medically malpractices, and is very combative. All the staff and all of the residents have had problems with her and she still has a job. Shes the main reason Im leaving today besides I am ready.I have high blood pressure she cut my blood pressure medication down plus it was used to cut down the tremors that I was having because of the lithium that I was on which I did not want to be on and she insisted I was. Then my doctor cut out my lithium because the medication he put me on was a contraindication to the heart medication. She got combative and said it was inappropriate that I have my doctor do that and if she actually knew what she was doing with med management she would have known that it was a contraindication I had to explain this to her thats horrible if they dont do something about her theyre going to eventually have a medical malpractice suit I know of at least one client here that has a medical malpractice suit against the facility. So before coming here make sure that Suzanne is not the provider anymore.Dave the second command blew off grievance against her and the kid that needed the meds that she cut back on him had to go to the hospital because of her and he has a suit in my opinion.

We went here to try to get help for a family member. The guy who answered the door was extremely rude claiming they only talk to people between 8-5 M-F and only with a referral from somewhere else, despite their claim of being a crisis stabilization unit open 24 hours, online.Apparently you only get help if you need help between 8-5 M-F! To top it off this same guy followed us to the car and told us we had to leave their parking lot because it’s private. With his sketchy behavior we asked to talk to someone else and he said we can’t talk to anyone else and then threatened to call the police on us!For what, trying to get help? This all happened in about 5 mins time. Obviously this is not a welcoming place to go and they act more like a prison than a place that claims to help people.

Just here for LRA unnecessary looking to appeal it. They wont to put in regular housing. Just in a afh. We cant leave the building property cuz of covid excuses lowsy system here dont recommended this place for that reason. Got in trouble for sneezing they had me sign a paper on safety because I struggled to cover my sneezes and another cuz they could hear music from my room outside the door. Dont know much about lras so idk if Id get a warrant if I left here to go camping instead. At least Id have freedom. Food is OK cant have seconds here only on fruit or veggies. U get 1 snack and 1 soda a day and 8 filled top or premier cigs tho I came in here not smoking. I dont really smoke. I smoke weed but thats why I sometimes would smoke a Cig for that reason. U have to have bi weekly UAs.

I would NOT recommend going to this place if you dont have anywhere to go afterwards, because they wont help you find housing. 1.) Housing is non-existent in Clark county & 2.) Case managers dont educate themselves with housing options in Portland. You (again, case managers wont and cant help you) should be prepared to stay for a maximum of 3 months and find housing ON YOUR OWN. Unless youre okay with going to an adult family home where you will have no money (they leave you with $75 of your SSI), no food stamps and being dependant on the system when you dont need to be. I saw people as young as 19 go to an AFH and they recommended this to me and I said HELL NO. Why would I make the state pay thousands of dollars a month to keep me in assisted living when Im not a senior citizen? The people they sent there dont even need help with eating, daily hygiene, ect. Its just a sad way Columbia River is taking advantage of the system. I think that Columbia River needs to start hiring case managers who want to be educated on other housing options that arent exclusively Clark county and STOP sending perfectly fine people to adult family homes which is wasting tax payers money. It was just sad to see people feel like they have no choice but to convince themselves that living in an adult family home will be an ideal option. It should never be an option for people who only qualify because of medication management. Are you kidding me? Columbia River needs to put the work in and stop taking the easy way out. Shame on you.

Im working with this location for placement of a relative. Despite the fact that she disqualified herself initially, and is being pretty self sabotaging they are working with us to do whats best for her. The rooms are single and double occupancy. Theres meds disbursement for safety, a specific laundry day and time as well as three large group counseling sessions a day. Food is touted as good by both resident and staff...bit I cant speak personally. Average stay is 1 to 2 months while they help the residents meet goals they set for themselves. This seems like a good stepping stone for people in critical need.

Some staff are amazing. But, the whole getting put on punishment for smoking cannabis for pain related to something I ended up getting surgery on because Im a recovering addict who refuses to relapse on pain meds and benzos (which I could have easily done since...) is a little much considering benzos are handed out to addicts just fine (I prefer not to have seizures from withdrawals ever again, but I guess thats just me). Then, less than 3 days after said surgery, I made the mistake of telling my case manager that someone may be willing to work out a payment plan with an RV. The next day, the RV fell through, and I was informed that insurance would not authorize any more time (they had been chomping at the bit for me to find a place to stay, because getting authorization after 3 months is apparently too much for Molina. I wish people would have waited to say something to Molina until I had something set in stone), despite me still having a hard time taking care of myself (showering, bbrushing teeth, going places by myself, etc.), so I had 27 hours to find a place to live and leave. I left rated at a 7 on the suicide risk scale, with a history of over 15 suicide attempts, mind you. Almost 2 months later, I have been living in a motel that I cant afford (and cant afford to save up a security deposit and rent), suicidal, and relapsed with cutting (5 years down the drain) multiple times, and hopeless because I have lost faith in trying to get help. I will never get help again. This was my last willing opportunity to get help. There was a lot of good, just dont expect anyone to help if you need it longer than 3 months...
