This place is amazing! Our almost 6 year old son started attending 3 months ago. Scott is not only a very talented instructor, but he also has a special way of communicating with kids. He is enthusiastic and clever in keeping the kids attention. I feel he goes above and beyond in making sure to build each of the kids up with positive affirmations. We are blessed to be a part of Vancouver taekwondo academy.

I went here for over a decade as a student. Mr. Scott is not only an amazing martial arts teacher and coach, but also has an uncanny ability to understand his students capabilities and how push them past that limit, and know how to encourage growth and confidence in even the most shy and unsure of students. If it wasn’t for him and the community I had seen, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Our 8-year-old started studying with Scott in April. He loves it, going five days a week!In that short time, he has not only progressed in his Taekwondo skills, but he has also become a much more confident young man.This spills over into so much of his life! He is suddenly a stellar student and making friends at school. The best part is he is just a much happier kid.I cant say enough about Scott. His demeanor with the classes in no-nonsense but completely accepting of every ability and personality. He is quietly firm with the kids and they strive to please him. He encourages every effort with a sincerity that makes the kids try even harder. Hes an excellent role model.For us, Vancouver Taikwondo Academy has been a complete win/win!

After having a hard time integrating into kindergarten, our son is has really enjoyed learning the Five Tenants of Taekwondo and being part of a team:(1) Courtesy, (2) Integrity, (3) Self-Control (4) Perseverance, (5) Indomitable Spirit

My family has been active at VTA for 15 years 😀 Mr. Scott is a man of integrity and an awesome instructor/coach ! He is great with kids and adults alike. At VTA we are not only challenged physically but mentally as well with studies of martial arts history and anatomy worked into classes. Black Belt represents scholar ... We never stop learning ! Its a great family atmosphere where lifelong friendships are formed !!! I cannot recommend this school enough!!! Come give it a try, youll be glad you did 👍🏼😀

My boys started here 7 years ago. This school has taught them about discipline, integrity, and perseverance along with many other things. The school is like an extended family for athletes and their families.

Good gym..teaching kids good habits and tools to help them better there lives.
