Loved shoes no longer manufactured (of course), from long ago. Fell apart while walking. Took them into Ivan at Totem Shoe Repair who looked them over and responded with a sad shake of the head...definitely garbage. Asked him to consider possibilities, and paid for an attempt, whether it worked or not... asking for his magic. Very, reasonably priced. Expecting to hear they were headed to the landfill. Two weeks later...AMAZING! Wearing these shoes, with a haircut, I feel like a new man, thanks to Ivan.

Ivan the owner is wonderful!! He fixed my shoe...it lost a button that was riveted on. He said it probably wont work but it did!! He checked all the other rivets and when I asked what I owed him he said .. . Nothing!! What a wonderful young man!!! The best shoe repair in the area. Ive been coming for years!

Great customer service and great craftsmanship. The owner is naturally gifted in leather work and can do a variety of leather/ material repairs (I got taking to him and he showed me that he was working on a suitcase, purses, shoes, etc) See pictures of my new purse handles. He put in the rivits which gave my handles a bit of character as well as add more durability and aesethetics.

I came here from a recommendation from a friend. I was really happy with how well he fixed my Coach purse. They no longer fix like they used but I wasnt ready to give up on my purse yet. Since he wasnt able to fit the one side on his machine to do the repair as initially thought, he came up with another innovative way to fix it and I am very pleased and it looks like it will last.

He restored my boots to like-new condition! I am so very impressed. The heels on my two Pikolinos boots were completely worn off. He replaced them and got out *ALL* the nicks and scuffs, which is more than I anticipated. He does very very good work. $70 + tax for 2 pairs of shoes sure beats having to buy a whole new pair of boots. You won’t regret coming here!

Stopped in with a random inquiry about alterations to my leather tool bags not really knowing a place that could work with leather that thick. Spoke to Ivan about what I was needing and the time constraints I was under (these are my work bags so I need them Mon-Fri 6a-4p). He was able to get me in next day, the work finished in within an hour after dropping them off (probably less), and it didnt cost an arm and a leg. Picked up the bags and was immediately impressed with how well they looked. The quality looks as if I bought them this way. Its been a week and I couldnt be happier, Im sorry I didnt bring them in sooner. Far better than I could have hoped. Totally worth the random drop in not knowing if its work they would even do. I will most definitely be coming in again when needed (though my bags are so perfect itll have to be for something else).

I brought in a pair or dansko mary jane style shoes that needed a small seam repair.These awesome guys gave me a range of options starting with just the repair, to also reinforcement of the same spot on the other shoe, and then other small recommendations they thought I could use on the shoes based on my comfort level of the cost.I never felt pressured to spend more money, these guys really just cared that my shoes were in great condition for me. I will definitely be back!

He doesn’t have the true craftsmanship it takes to do shoe repairs (in my opinion). Very nice guy but that’s about as good as it gets.. Paid a lot to get my shoes fixed (needed new soles, soles needed bound to leather). When I picked them up, they looked fine. Now after wearing them for a while I’m finding out they were just glued back in place so I couldn’t see where they were originally coming apart. They’re now beginning to separate again. I’ll be using a different shoe repair place in the future.

Got Louboutin heels as a gift for my birthday and they have a very slippery bottom and the color scratches off. I took them to Totem Shoes Repair and Vitaliy recommened to put sole guard on them. Very happy with the result. They arent slippery and look very original and the soles are protected!! Quality work, good price, and fast service. Totally recommend!!!

I have some hightop sheepskin slippers my dad gave me for Xmas 43 years ago when I was 17. Wore holes in the soles and had a couple holes in the heal. My son remembers me always wearing them when he was a child and loved them. Hes 30. Couldnt bring myself to toss them since my dad passed 20 years ago. Ivan brought them back to life with new soles, lambs wool insoles and repaired the heal. Giving to my kid this Xmas. Thanks Ivan...your a real craftsman!

This is strictly my opinion and experience with Totem Shoe Repair.I have a pair of Dan Post Albuquerque steel toe boots. Ive worn the soles out to the point they need repaired. After a google search and reading reviews I decided to go with Totem Shoe Repair sense their reviews were good. On Monday morning 9/21/2020 I brought my boots in. The gentleman was friendly and came up with an solution to fix my boot and showed me the tread that he would be using. I agreed and told him Id pick them up next Monday. Monday morning 9/28/2020 I was about to leave the house when I get a message saying my boots would be ready at 16:30. I asked how come and was informed he was just starting on my boots. A tad frustrated sense I was thinking I would be picking up boots that morning. Sense that time frame wouldnt work for me, i let him know id be in Friday to pick them. I go Friday afternoon to pick them up and to my surprise the soles were completely different than what we had discussed. He said the other one wouldnt work. I wouldve appreciated a phone call letting me know sense i was not a fan of the soles that were chosen, what was done was done though. I paid the $100 and took my boots home. Later that evening I put them on and immediately saw something was not right. The sole on one of the boots was much wider and gave the boot a clown shoe look to it. Upon further inspection I found the nails on the heel were not set in all the way so you would here them when you walked. One nail was set crooked and sticking out to the point it would scrape on hard wood floors. They are closed on the weekend so I waited until Monday, and first thing Monday morning I went to see how we could fix the sole. He acknowledged it was off. He did not how it happened and tried to sand it down. While that did help a bit it was not fixed. He said there was nothing else he could do. So with no other options and extremely frustrated I left the boots sense I would not be wearing them. The service was friendly enough, its the craftsmanship I have an issue with. Now Im out the money and a pair of boots I would not wear. The fella seemed nice, its very disappointing that the boots are ruined though. This is my experience with this shop. He seems to have good reviews so I believe he must do some good work. I was not one of those cases.

Totem repaired a Bass mens dress shoe that had separated from its sole. Cost was $20 + tax (cash only) and took 1 week from drop off to pick up.

I got a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers that I love. The leather on the boots broke in very well. However I’ve never cared for the sole. It was always too hard and sounded like high heels on certain floors. Also the standard sole they come with have very little lug for traction. Vitaly spent a bit of time with me going over all my options until I found one that addressed all my issues and had the look I wanted. The turn around was very quick less than a week and that was with no rush. The final product looks amazing and like he assured me are much quieter than before. I brought in another pair of boots that are old, broken in and comfortable like a pair of slippers. But I’ve worn through the heel and they let in water. No good in PNW. I’ve brought them to other shops and they all wanted to resole costing about $120. As much as I love these boots spending $120 to fix $160 boots seems crazy. He was the first shop to point out the rest of the sole is fine and can resole just the heel and fix them. the resole of the heels will be $35, much more palatable and I look forward to having them back. Thank you for your great workmanship.

I had amazing experience here. Not only was the owner kind and friendly but he did such a great job on my boots and added extra detail to them free of charge. I dont normally leave reviews but with him being so accommodating and down to the earth. I wanted to give him the recognition he deserves.

Love this little shop. He only takes cash or check but he will give you a quote up front. If he cant fix it, hell tell you, and if he can, you will love the results. He also has the best supply of shoe laces and shoe care products around. A little hard to find but worth the effort!

Vitaliy did an excellent job on my dress shoes. The front of the soles were peeling off which made it challenging to walk. After fixing the soles he polished them up and now they shine like they used to!

My wife needed to have a boot heal repaired while we were on a trip from Chicago to Vancouver as the only other pair of shoes she brought was sneakers. Not only did he repair the broken heal but he also checked the othe shoe and repaired it as well. We thought the price was great as was the service. I have a pair of shoes that I love and wear constantly. Totem Shoe Repair took them and made them like new after a year and a half. The soles are better than the originals, they were shines up and cleaned meticulously, and their customer service was top notch. I would recommend and will recommend them to anyone.

I brought an old, somewhat worn pair of Corcoran jump boots for re-heeling and not only experienced quick turnaround, but received them looking nearly brand new, with a previous irritating squeak no longer apparent (the new heels are now on rock-solid) and with an uncomfortable spot in one of the inner soles now smoothened out. Theyre now really comfortable and great to walk in and look fantastic to boot (sorry!).The owner of the shop is very conscientious of performing quality work and offers great service for really reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to bring shoes or boots to him. Youll be very well taken care of.

This is a great little shoe repair shop. I went in for additional buckle holes for my dress shoe straps and was out in 15 minutes! The sole owner is a nice gentleman and has extremely good prices. They work magic! I just went to these guys with a brand new pair of boots that I have been so frustrated with because they had a squeak in the heel area. After a few minutes of looking at the shoe, he went to the back of the store and started wailing on the shoe with a hammer. Scary as it was, he came back to the front and the shoes were fixed!!! He didnt charge me and I was in and out of there in minutes. Now not only do my new shoes look great, they sound great too :-) For any future problems with ANY shoe, I will go back no question. Two pairs of shoes resoled, one pair minor sewing. Did very good work and was done on the date that he said they would be done.

Vitaliy bought Totem Pole from the original owners several years ago and has been carrying the torch as the original owners intended almost a century ago. I go in to Vitaliys twice a week for a polish and shine on my Luccheses and they look better now than the day I bought them. Maintenance for $10 and getting them back same day is beyond reproach for the care Vitaliy puts into his work.I wouldnt go to another Shoe Repair shop within 500 miles.

I brought 2 pairs of heels in that both needed the heel-tips replaced (they were worn through and the steel on the stiletto was getting torn up). He wasnt able to fix one pair (not surprised), but the other pair looks awesome. Hes very friendly. A little tough to find (next to bead shop and a pawn store), but worth it. Only takes cash or check, but gives an estimate when you drop off.
