Its a definite scam. My wife and I went in and asked to sign up and were told they couldnt help us we just have to go do it in our car by ourselves and figure it out so we did and I never went in there 1 day or used anything ever. Ive paid 6 months of bills and I went in there today to cancel and they said I have to pay $58 because we agree to a year lease qhen u sign up online... when there was nobody helping us to even sign up in the 1st place.. 2 workers and they couldnt sign us up because they want you to be scammed. So we asked for the managers bosses email and she just gave us hers... And I called yesterday and someone said you can just write a letter so I sent them a letter yesterday well see what happens.

My mask would slip below my nose while on the treadmill and I was told that if I couldnt keep it above my nose I would be removed from the gym. Very aggressive and unnecessary. No one was near me... I was harming no one. You will be constantly harassed about your mask if you go to this gym.

The most people oriented gym Ive ever been to. Tons of wonderful services, and the staff are diligent and kind. Stay cool, Planet Fitness.

Ive been using this gym for the past three years or so, and its been great. I started at nights, then switched to mornings. So sure if you go in popular times its crowded, but its all about finding that sweet spot that works with your schedule. They have a crowd meter and theyre also opening a new one at the Vancouver Mall soon so thatll definitely help. Staff have always been friendly, the morning goers are decent! I enjoy seeing the same faces while slightly dying first thing in the morning! Lol

Great night staff. The young gal who works is super sweet. Very good membership services. I like the tanning and total body enhancement and equiptment is good too!!! They got everything you need!

They have just about everything you need here! Sam was who helped me set up my account and made it a super smooth, quick process. Customer service from her was amazing! Other than that, the equipment was newer and in good shape. The free weights did not have a huge selection of benches but overall a really great experience here! I will definitely be back and be visiting other locations.

Couldnt be happier with the staff and no pressure feel of Planet fitness. The price makes it almost risk free. Im very happy I decided to give it a try.

1st time at this location. It was not crowded, I came on a Saturday around 5pm. Clean environment. And very helpful staff. Only thing I didnt care much for was the lockers it was a little tricky to figure out how to lock my locker then unlock my locker. I ended up getting help from the staff, however once they open my locker they never asked me for proof the items in my locker belonged to me or asked to see my ID once I obtain my stuff. Just felt like anyone could have said my locker was theirs and someone could have walked off with my stuff. They do have an option where you can bring your own personal lock. However I didnt know that until today. Best advice is bring your own 🔐 lock for best protection of your personal items. Overall great experience with the gym on my 1st day.

This facility is a really good value. Lots of equipment choices and friendly staff. Several sanitation stations are available and I think they have upgraded their HVAC system post-covid.

Water pressure and temp not too good. Its almost same as pouring room temp water bottle on you for a shower seems. The total body fitness Beauty Angel didnt have good sound. Daytime staff customer service is ok.. but my fav staff member is Jade. Shes always nice, engaging and actually seems to care about how youre doing even though shes constantly busy vacuuming, cleaning etc.. Thanks for being sweet and asking about my day.. I only gave 4 stars because of the other staff and the shower curtains have some stains on the inside that can be easily bleached off..but other than that, the facility is very clean and I have seen all staff cleaning after each member uses tanning, TBE, etc.

Good selection of equipment, quiet, not too busy. The environment is very conducive to focusing on yourself. Plenty of sanitizing stations, and people seemed like they were all abiding by it. Ill definitely be going again.

Scam business. If you leave from the area you will be unpleasantly surprised that you have to go back In person to cancel. They say you can write a letter, but if you look up reports of people who have done that, you will find that they don’t honor this method. It’s how they get their money. Like any scam, they’ll steal from you in the shadiest way, “policy”. planet fitness? Stealing from people? Unfortunately it feels as such.

Nice staff, wide variety of workout and stretch machines fitness instructor trainers available for appointments. Get tan get massage 💆‍♀️check out the TBE, VERY COOL!

First off, shout out to the friendly staff at this location. I met Kiera & Sofia who helped me get set up and assisted me anytime I had a question or concern. Staffing is important because they set the tone for the workout environment and it’s a make or break situation on whether you’d come back often.The machines they have are effective and I can target almost every muscle on my body. I’ve been there everyday since I started. They gave me a sweet offer with the PF Black membership and I took advantage of the massage machines they have. It’s amazing how good you feel after puttin in work and getting those tissues targeted to circulate blood flow. I’m glad I chose this place as my workout destination. If they had a basketball court, I’d give it 6 stars.

You ever go to the gym and realize your keychain tag snapped off for the gym? Has that ever been too much for the person at the front desk to handle? Try here. Its a definite experience. Give it an extra 15 to minutes if you go in the morning so you arent choosing between half of a workout or being late for work. Maybe if she wasnt worried about texting her friends she could have figured it out. There was no one behind us. The texts could have waited. I just went in, I have had a membership for over a year and had waisted enough time on her texts. Thanks! Ive always hated working out even though its necessary and since I had to work at 6am it forced me to work out for less time. Wait... thats not good.......

Can be a little busy during peak hours, but equipment was readily available and staff was fantastic to work with.

Spring for the black card. Hydromassage is a must, and everyones friendly. Decent array of equipment, classes, etc.

This place gets a 5 star review because of Sam and Serena. Best customer service I have ever had at a Planet Fitness. They have remodeled and this is a beautiful location.

Its a chill affordable gym. Super clean.Only getting 4 stars because you sometimes have to wait for certain machines because there is only 1 or 2 of them.

I was always iffy of this location due to the homeless population at night and the employees napping on the job. But what really makes me upset is how they have continued to charge me out of the blue after being closed for covid restrictions. A email saying hey, were open again, would have been nice. Instead they basically have said it is what it is and I cant close my account without a certified letter. Well it would have been nice for me to get a letter stating they were open again. Avoid at all cost

The staff and facility is super nice(Makenzie especially!) and its also very clean, the only reason Im giving 4 stars is them not having enough towels for showers 😔 overall I recommend!

I love this gym! Awesome friendly staff, and very welcoming atmosphere.

They will tell you your account is cancelled and then only freeze it for a couple months and continue to take money directly from your account after that without notice. When you call back to get it fixed they will refuse to reverse the charge OR close the account. The manager that told me the account was closed conveniently doesnt work there anymore.

I was informed when they were closed and they stopped taking payments. However they opened back up without informing me and have been taking my money! Very upset.

The gurl working the front desk around 7:30 am deserves a raise. I dropped an earbud and she fished it out from under the tanning booth.

Have all the lockers zip tied so you cant use them and they have the showers barricaded so you cant use the showers either. Your black card doesnt account for anything as far as tanning because its too inconvenient for them to clean them I guess.I would guess that the management and or the owner of this chain is a liberal because everywhere in the Midwest everything, and I do mean everything is available for use.Some machines are marked that its social distancing and not available. Which are the same type of machines with two machines to the left of those are available for workout and they are less than 5 feet from each other. So it makes absolutely no sense and their logic here, well there isnt any.

Incompetent staff and manager NEVER on site!! We got an unauthorized charge on 8/17 (automatic billing) when the gym got reopened (apparently). We went in September and canceled the membership and were told a manager will need to issue the refund for August. We were told to expect a call within a few days. That never happened. We’ve called 3x since to 2 different Vancouver locations— promise of a manager call & no call. Called again today, told there’s no manager on weekends (last 3 calls were on week days, same answer). WE WANT A REFUND for an unauthorized charge. This is beyond ridiculous and a real PITA to deal with— so beware.The gym itself is unremarkable and staff incompetent (we were not loving it before the pandemic hit) but now convinced of this. Find somewhere where they have a manager and when there’s an issue, it can be resolved. This is not a place I would ever be a member again not recommend to anyone!!

While I understand that the original Planet Fitness agreement stipulates that cancellations can only be done in person or via a certified letter from the post office, this rule is dangerous and irresponsible to continue enforcing during the coronavirus pandemic.I am unable to go in public, either to the gyms location or to the post office, and though Ive tried to speak to this locations employees twice, Ive been refused any alternative assistance in canceling my account, aside from freezing it for a month.The employee I spoke with was also very callous in dealing with me. I said I would have to put a stop pay on my account if I couldnt find a way to cancel as I couldnt afford to keep paying, to which they threatened to send me to collections—for a service Im not even using. And I had to ask multiple times before I was given a managers name and a vague time of when he would be back. The evasiveness with this information was extremely unprofessional and made me feel as if I was being brushed off. Information like this should be provided freely to any customer who asks and shouldnt have to be pried out of a PF employee.In a normal pre-2020 world, this cancellation rule is an unfair policy, but its especially greedy in the new landscape COVID-19 has created to make it difficult for your customers to cancel or choose to eat the monthly fee to avoid going in public, while money still goes into your pockets. Not to mention the absolute disadvantage this puts on people who need to cancel but have no access to transportation due to losing a job or who may be immunocompromised and cant risk going out in public just to cancel.I had hoped to return to PF after the pandemic, but I can see now you dont care about your customers or their safety.

I have tried for 2 months now to cancel my membership as I moved out of the area. I was not able to do it in person before leaving, they refuse to do it online or over the phone, and even after sending in a written cancellation request at THEIR request, they continue to charge my bank account for a membership that is not in use. Horrible communication around this matter. Get your s**T together PF.

Terrible staff interaction. Not professional in the very least. Equipment was old and broke. After nearly throwing my arm out after the chain on their equipment broke I decided to call it quits. Unfortunately due to their policy you must arrive in person to cancel your membership. Due to Covid-19 this places a certain level of hardship for those with underlying conditions who may not feel comfortable going to public areas.Overall I say that this business would do better if it adopted a more customer friendly model, perhaps by upgrading their equipment and switched to online services so people werent forced to travel. As it stands I have no plans continuing business with them.

I was a member here for over 5 years. When covid 19 started I decided to cancel my membership as I have elderly parents that are high risk. I emailed planet fitness to cancel the membership. They said they would do it. Two months later and $90 in feel I found out that it was not canceled. They would not let me speak to a manager to get my fees back even though I had a dated and signed letter that proved that my membership was to be canceled two months ago.I was literally told that thee manager was too busy to call me back...! What a joke, thats one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Needless to say I will never ever be a member here again even though I was planning on coming back when covid was over.

Good gym at a great price. They say judgement free zone, but they judge very harshly on large signs on the wall: LUNK ALARM! Rick is... wearing a body-building tank top and drinking out of a gallon water jug...what a lunk! A bit inconsistent, this judgement-free business.Response to owner: Labeling a person a LUNK and setting off the Lunk Alarm so as to embarrass them in front of the whole gym is judgemental in the extreme. Even if your contract prohibits all tank-tops and gives exact limits to the size of our water bottles (which it does not, btw), there must be a more courteous way of addressing your members than public shaming.

Great gym, great price, but the way they handled their response to the COVID-19 epidemic is completely unprofessional. They charged my card (much more than what my monthly due is). I tried calling several times to speak to someone, but the phone went straight to voicemail stating that the gym is closed. I sent emails asking why they charged my card and received no response. 10 days went by, and still no response and not answering the phone, and 3 days until they were about to charge my card again (this time for double my membership fee amount), they finally answered the phone. The gym representative did not allow me to speak with the manager, told me that they would not refund my money (although they have been closed, until they finally answered the phone, and there is a freaking PANDEMIC going on right now!), and they couldnt care less that they were losing a customer. Its not worth risking your life at the gym, especially at one that could care less.

Five things.Overpriced. Too much money for for the equipment.Inability to cancel membership over the phone online or with a certified letter. All they want to do is steal your money, it doesnt matter if youre injured, unable to walk, move or had to move to another state. I had to fly in from Tennessee to cancel my membership. (only been in the gym one-time paid for two years because they refused to cancel and continue to drain my bank)Hidden fees. After canceling my membership not only did I get feed something that I was not told about, I didnt even have the time to talk about my experience.Unprofessional staff. didnt get a receipt or any sort of documentation, nor notification that I would be charged additional fees!!!Go here if you want to throw money away.

I recently moved out of state so I called to get some info put on my acct and inquire about upgrading. McKenzie was SUPER helpful and walked me through the whole process, along with other updates on my acct! She stayed on the phone with me for almost 40 minutes helping me, while also being attentive to other members in front of her. Super grateful for her help! (This was on 1/26/20 around 11am-12pm PST).

Great facility. Clean.Positive environment. Great signage. Quick and easy orientation during first day.Customer service was spotty. First time happened to be on Thanksgiving day. Everyone was rushed out the door 7 minutes before closing (noon). It felt very jarring.I said Happy Thanksgiving to an attendance on my way out and she didnt even look up from her phone to say it back. This was surprising to me.

As being a Black Card member for several years now, I am highly dissapointed after the opening of the Mill Plain location that they have staffed two new and unexperienced staff members who dont have the training to manually override the massage chairs, loungers, or beds for those who have come to their non-home gym. I even tried to explain to her how to do it. She just looked at me with a blank stare. She had no training. I then asked if she had another person working with her, her response, Shes new too. Who schedules two new hires to run the gym?Not the best start to opening one of the locations after being closed for around 5 months.

This place was given a remodel and an upgrade not too long ago. It was very well done and the gym makes you feel like you are getting more than what you pay for. Staff is incredible! Mckenzie is an absolute treasure. Great place for beginning or experienced gym goers.

Aaron the manager (you’ll know you’re speaking to her when you hear an extremely nasally voice) is completely incompetent and should not be conducting business anywhere. I asked to speak to corporate and she states, “I am cooperate”. What a joke! I will be making an executive complaint.

Some of the staff members during the late night shifts really need to improve on their customer service skills. Cant even tell you how many times I walk in there and the staff are at the front desk with their headphones in, texting on their phones, or having private conversations and no acknowledgment of the customer whatsoever. Not even eye contact or a simple hello. Its absolutely unprofessional and not welcoming at all. Take note of the staff from the Hazel Dell Planet Fitness location, even if its after midnight the staff there still make the effort to greet every customer who comes in.

Great place to workout. Its the basics that make me happy... Aquick and easy place to workout. I like to have a clean place, access 24 hours, cheap monthly fee, and theres someone there on site all the time, if I have any questions or problems... what more could you ask for!

Needs to be much cleaner..... the water faucet doesnt work properly it barely puts out water its warm and taste like chlorine. Kind of a staple of a gym to have good freshwater.... the floor mats are always disgustingly full of hair (very gross)...and it has been brought up to management.... anybody who works there knows the issues....but nothing changes

Its not bad. They have pretty much everything you need to get a good workout. But the personal trainers are not real experienced trainers. They have to take a test if they pass they can be a personal trainer. So if your looking for a real professional trainer you will have to spend more money elsewhere.

Planet Fitness makes it impossible to cancel your membership during COVID.

Cheap and definitely a no judgement zone. Their massage chairs are amazing after a workout my only complaint is I wish they had a sauna, overall its a great cheap gym to go to that is clean and well maintained.

I would give them a 5 star but I find it frustrating that they changed the policy to where the members have to clean the TBE and Tanning beds but then dont bother to put any cleaning supplies in the rooms. Its very frustrating to have to go out and find cleaner and I suspect the beds are not being cleaned after each use.Otherwise, the staff is great and the equipment is all in great condition.

Literally one of the worst planet fitness Ive ever been to. The staff was a bunch of kids basically that had no idea what they were doing or had an understanding of what customer service was. Tried to get there help tanning and none of them seemed to know how to set a bed up to be used and once I did get in a bed it wasnt cleaned there were dirty towels still on the ground and a person seeat mark on the bed and when I asked for a new bed they told me they couldnt get me one because of the way the systems set up. Didnt even offer to clean the bed for me. I highly recommend no one going and to use the other one on hazel.

I have been a member at the gym for more than three years. The members are great and I know most of the regulars on first name basis. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the management. The owners do not appreciate or pay their employees enough. It doesnt help that they live out of state and micro manage from a far, resulting in completely impersonable and inconsistent experience for the members. Kristen and Serena are awesome.

Great place to get in shape and without judgement, especially going during down times, you have the place wide open for using equipment, staff are helpful, and keep it pretty well maintained.If you consider the price $10 for basic or $20 for black member this establishment is well worth it! In my opinion I enjoy it, hopefully you will too!

They were rude to me when I first walked in telling me that they couldnt help me because I come from a different gym but I had my number. After getting that worked out, I went tanning and I only got to tan for 2 and 1/2 minutes before it shut off and then they wouldnt allow me to tan again. This has been the worst experience since I have joined planet fitness! usually everyone is really helpful and nice and these people just seem like they dont even want to be here if you dont want to work here then go find a different job because we want a pleasant experience when we come to the gym its called good customer service

I have been going to this location for many months. I agree with other reviewers, there is plenty of equipment. I go weekdays before noon, I have always found the type of equipment I want available.The place where an improvement could be made is in the heart rate monitors on the equipment. I use the Life Cycle upright bicycles. The HR monitors on these are very intermittent. Sometimes they work, sometimes they take a break, the space where the number is supposed to be displayed says HR. I have used most of these upright bicycles in the time that I have been going to this location, and they all have the problem.Another improvement that would help the Life Cycle upright bicycles is the front panel. The level of effort is only displayed when it has just been changed. This means you cant glance at the panel and read the current effort level. The panel has a large rectangular area with a grid of LEDs. These are used to give a graphic representation of the effort level, but you cant tell the exact setting. They could use part of this LED grid to indicate the level with a number while also showing the graphic line version of the level.The problems with the HR monitor could be caused by the hardware design, which might mean it cant be fixed with a firmware change. There is still a chance it could be fixed in firmware. Ask the vendor.Changing the output on the front panel is something that could be fixed in firmware. Ask the vendor for a firmware change.

Planet fitness is one of the best gyms I have been too. I appreciate the diversity of crowd it brings it and makes everyone feel welcome. The equipment is well kept thanks to the awesome new manager they and the staff is always polite and friendly. It can get very busy and crowded at times, but so does every other gym during those hours. I recommend giving planet fitness a try and see if it a good fit for you!

It has a treadmill, elliptical, and tanning. What more can I girl ask for???Damn Covid has the showers closed though... Ggrrrr.
