Decent gym but they don’t enforce the mask policy. Like at all. If you have immune compromised people in your life I wouldn’t recommend it.I know staff are just kids making minimum wage but they don’t even try to make these guys wear a mask it feels like.

Mostly a basic commercial gym. Gave an extra star because they have two lifting platforms with heavy duty squat racks. Low quality barbells. Pricing plans are good if you are into working out at a “jack of all trades, master of none” sort of place.Equipment was clean and in good working order. Clean bathroom and locker room facilities.

Getting back into working out & everyone has been friendly & helpful. Even on busy days I can find a machine or some small weights. Affordable! & the tanning rooms are great.

This is my first ever negative review. 😕The facility is decent, but if you ever want to pause or cancel your membership (moved out of town, went on medical leave, financial constraints etc), you have to either drive in to sign a form in person, or physically mail them a letter, and hope that they receive it and follow through. The fact that theres no way to cancel online or by phone is really weird, unless their goal is to inconvenience you into giving up and continuing to pay them every month.

This Crunch gym is always super clean, the front desk staff is always very friendly and it just has a really good vibe in there. I’m so happy it’s open again and I am getting back into my fitness routine there. The price is excellent as well!!!

I cant write a review about my location, because it was abruptly shut down. But all of the employees at my location moved to this one.I have very mixed feelings about Crunch. My husband and I started in July. It sounded great. Everything was awesome. Then we got personal trainers. I absolutely love my trainer, and my husband loved all of his. Our issues started when they closed our location (164th). The new location in the Vancouver plaza, is to far for us to go to workout. We were told when signing up, that if there were any issues, we could cancel and get out of our contacts with their training partner Redwood personal training. Eg. If it was too expensive and we couldnt afford it, if it didnt work for our schedules anymore. But now, they are trying to charge us over $2000 just to close our contracts out. We were never informed that we would have to pay to cancel them if our location closed. Their excuse is that its less than 10 miles from the previous location. And it may be, but its 30 minutes to get there from my house. Im not going to drive 30 minutes to work out for 30 minutes or an hour, just to drive 30 minutes back home. Its not worth it. So we have no choice but to pay. We are livid. Were closing our contracts, and canceling our memberships.

Its a gym. Low cost, and like all gyms, you get out what you put in.Stairmaster for life!!

Love this gym! They have 100% compliance with covid mandates and public health recommendations. I always feel very safe working out in here and can’t imagine going anywhere else in the region. I love that they’re also nationwide so I can still hit the gym when I’m out of town. Everyone who works here at this location (and all locations I’ve visited) is very friendly. My only complaint about this location is I wish they would extend their hours beyond 3pm on the weekends - not sure if that’s pandemic related or just their general schedule but I would love to be able to work out on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

My favorite workout location, but could be cleaner here and there including the bathroom. Empty hand sanitizer dispensers across the gym.Otherwise kudos to the front desk team, you guys rock!

Crunch is really affordable and the staff is really friendly. I like the fact that they have classes, and a massage machine all for under $30/month. Also they sometimes run promotions for Personal Training so I can get in my best shape with having to spend a gazillion dollars. Overall good value.

Large, clean & affordable gym in a short location from where we live. Staff & other lifters abide by current health standards and have a large variety of free/machine weights. Dumbbells up to 100+ lbs

Crunch Fitness is great. Not a lot of people. You can check the Crunch Meter before going to see if it busy. The phone app is great because you can check in with your phone, by scanning the code in there.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and nice variety of equipment. Very clean. Members here are good about cleaning equipment after use as well as staff periodically cleaning equipment throughout the day. After they were recently forced to close again I asked about how was that going to effect billing. They said they will prorate the rest of this month onto my account for credit and not charge me until they reopen. I canceled my last membership with another gym franchise due to them still billing me after they were force to close. Crunch is a great all around gym with great membership prices!

Why are so many buff guys walking around with out even PRETENDING to wear a mask. Most of these clowns at least pretend but every time I come here lately there are 3 or 4 shredded idiots who think they are above the rules and don’t even have a mask on them. Gym staff couldn’t care less. I’m changing gyms.

Ive been going there for months. The staff is right there if you need something. One of the cables wasnt pulling right. I told the desk, and they fixed it right away.

Ive been going to this gym for over a year and love it. In the light of COVID and them re-opening with precautions has endeared me more to the gym. Theyre straightforward and reasonable with their expectations and enforce them well. I watched the manage further wipe things down to disinfect and professionally confront people not wearing their masks when resting or waiting. I feel secure at the gym and am glad it re-opened to help me continue with my anxiety and pain management with better equipment than I can get at home.

Nothing but horrible experiences here!They will try to bill you even when they are shut down. Ive already given them written notice that Id like to cancel and no response. But when they want their monthly dues they are quick to take money from you.They also expect to be paid when they arent open for business. Makes no sense to me.Only give these guys pre paid debit cards so you can manage how much money they can take. Ive learned this lesson the hard way. Ive no idea how these guys are still in business.

I was looking for a gym that I felt suited my needs and made me feel comfortable. I found that with Crunch Fitness! Super friendly staff & really clean facility. Has everything I need for my fitness journey.

Crunch is hands down the BEST gym in Vancouver. They have everything you need, free weights, cardio, machines etc. but the best part is how amazingly attentive to cleanliness and COVID protocols theyve been. I feel super safe working out there

I’m grateful for the tour around by the GM and impressed by how clean this gym is.The gym itself is fine. But I just waited 20 minutes at the front counter for someone to come help me. I have a free 7 day pass and needed someone to help me with that process. 20 minutes. I came out to my car finally because no one was at the counter and I gave up. I just watched the kid who works there get out of his car and walk in. So it seems to me like no one who worked there was actually there. Pretty annoying and also bizarre. People could’ve come in without memberships or stolen merchandise. Might want to fix that. I was there from 6:50 pm to about 7:10 pm.

I was referred to Crunch by a friend and so glad she did. Staff is super friendly. Tons of great equipment... not crowded. The clientele is regular people...not at all intimidating. My husband is working with a trainer and very happy with the results he is getting. Also locker rooms are clean.

I rejoined on Easter Sunday and 6 hours later decided I jumped the gun with not having a job to pay the monthly fee. I emailed that evening to cancel my membership. The following day I received an email that they went ahead and cancelled. And I have sent 2 emails asking about the full refund since I cancelled before my 3 days and have not received any emails back from them nor have I seen the $25.86 redeposited into my account.

I have been a member for 5days and am already done with this place. They offer you services and then take them away without communicating well hence Wasting your time. Ive never seen them sanitize a thing with that machine and they do not do a good job of enforcing the mask policy. Save the risk of getting Covid and your time. I can not believe I was treated so poorlyUpdate- Manager Matt actually reached out to me first. Just from talking to him i feel 10times better aboit the situation. He is very professional and understanding. I am excited and eager to get back to achieving my fitness goals.Thank you Matt!!

Wonderful staff members and a good variety of workout equipment at a reasonable price. The other members are nice and keep the place near and tidy as well.

Just left Planet Fitness and joined Crunch Fitness. I am not impressed, really just different decor with the same concept. I have to give Planet Fitness props on their tanning beds and massage area. 100 times better. I am going to down grade to the cheaper membership and go with outside tanning salon. Just not worth 29.99 + a month. We are buying our own equipment because its just so much more worth the money and sanity. The staff just like the last place is a hit or miss. The Tanning area is very choppy and I dont feel comfortable. My fault for not really looking at the whole facility, then again maybe they shouldve done a better job showing me around. 6 more months and we are done with gyms. We will have our own equipment in the comfort of our home. 👊🏽😁

Thay are cleaning constantly and have a very good set up for cardio or lifting whatever you are looking for thay have and a nice and helpful

Really enjoy coming to this gym. Has great equipment always clean. The trainers are awesome always have time to show you new things even if your not doing a session with them( which I highly recommend doing). Tanning and hydro massage beds are a plus.

I bought my member ship online, when I went in I had to ask about all the stuff my member ship included,I was not given a tour, however I like the classes and they are taking everyones temp upon arrival, and providing the means to wipe down your equipment before use.

My husband and I struggled for years to get in a routine workout let alone know what to do and the right form. We were able to set up a few training sessions with a phenomenal trainer and since then have really been motivated and consistent. Being as inactive as I was, it has been a struggle in changing our diet and staying hydrated. Our personal trainer has really helped us in more ways than expected. She has helped us stay committed to our workout sessions, has been extremely patient with us making her schedule flexible, and we have learned many workouts that my husband and I can do together. It has truly been a great experience and we are grateful for their tremendous customer service!

Terrible gym. Stay away unless you want them to scam you. They expect to be paid even when they are shut down. When asked for a compromise they told me all they can do is waive the late fees. be careful when coming here

I love gym and the amount of equipment available for a great price. Locker rooms are pretty gross and bathrooms are rarely clean. I don’t utilize the group training or classes but feel it’s great to provide opportunities for those for the health of the community. As a CSCS and Doctor of Physical Therapy Student, I really like the wide variety of equipment for our community to get strong, lift, and be healthy.I would really like the locker rooms to be cleaner especially the surfaces that are for sitting. The benches are pretty gross.

The gym itself is fine if you tend to work out during off hours. Expect to have to wait for a bench or squat rack if you go during peak hours. Its a small space compared to other franchises, which is ultimately why I decided to quit. However, if you like group classes, crunch offers a good variety, except that this location does not offer spin classes as the other locations do.I am giving 2 stars regarding their poor service for cancellations. I had signed on as a peak member and downgraded later to the base, which cost a downgrade fee and signed me into a year contract. When I tried cancelling my membership later to switch gyms, long story short, I thought I had cancelled successfully due to what the front desk staff told me, but am still getting charged two months later. When calling to clarify, I was told I was still in contract for the year and would have to pay a $100 fee to terminate early (versus keeping my membership for 6 more months at $10/month). In the meantime, thinking I had successfully cancelled, I signed up with another gym and am now paying for two gym memberships.Poor practices regarding communication upon cancelling. Otherwise, a good option for those looking to save money with $10/mo memberships, but be wary of the fine print.

Shady policies they use to change the rules and hide fees. Dont actually expect them to be any different once your a member.Originally signed up under impression it was a chill place to start getting back into shape. They promoted their hydro-massage tables, giving a test message during the tour. They also promoted their No Contract and free guest pass benefits.Massage beds were super inconsistent and out of service over 50% of my visits. They originally sold us on getting signed up because my wife could be my guest as often as needed as long as I was present. After second month the front desk said the guest passes are limited to certain parts of the gym, then changed them again restricting frequency. When all this frustration and schedule juggling meant we werent using the membership for almost three months we attempted to cancel.Thats when they revealed their cancellation policy. Even though its No Contract they charge your bank an extra month as soon as you sign the cancellation. Thats called a cancellation fee regardless of how they want to spin.

Bella helped me get my sign in code to give to a crunch in New York in order for me to be able to use the gym. Although I had poor connection, she was super patient and polite. She spoke with the representative here for me. She deserves some props 👍🏼

Great gym, better than Planet Fitness, not quite as good as the bigger name gyms but for the price can’t beat it. Free weights, tons of machines, yoga/dance studio, tanning and hydro massage. For the price point it’s great.

Clean and well kept

This gym was really nice about giving me a pass while I was in town for a week. The equipment is well maintained, but they have a relatively small amount of machines, (like one for each muscle group) so if someone is hogging them you have to do something else. Also, their machines are weird!! Ive never used any that move the whole body before, and it was hard to get used to. Lots of free weights. Its a small gym. Its my sisters gym and she seems to love it. There didnt seem to be any creepers there, which seems to be kinda the norm for gyms. But nope, just a few people trying to get in shape.

I actually really like this gym... And Im not that really into exercise lol. Im a fan of all the equipment. Theres a ton of free weights and machines and a lot of overlap so if one is being used you really dont have to wait at all to do your exercise. Some customers are a little funny or stand-off-ish but theyre few and far between, especially compared to other gyms Ive been to. Ive always had good interactions with the staff, sometimes the front desk is a little hit or miss - but usually polite and attentive. All in all this is the best gym Ive ever been to because the facility and friendly people make going to the gym easier for a guy like me 👍

Awful customer service. Ive been trying for weeks to get MY MONEY BACK. Crunch kept taking money out of my account for personal training even after I cancelled the program. They now owe me almost 1k. Ive gotten little to no help. Please help. I just want my money back. Im going to keep posting reviews until my money is back in my account. This is not okay Crunch.

I switched to Crunch from a different gym and I am so glad that I did. I mainly go the the Crunch - Vancouver Plaza location because it is such a nice gym with personable people. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the trainers are engaged as well as knowledgeable. The manager personally assisted me with the setup of the account and she was a great help! Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

Super chill staff, great equipment selection, clean locker rooms. Special shout out to personal trainer Becky, showed me some new exercise techniques that is making the routine fun again!

This place is really a great gym. My wife and I were having a few billing issues (one of which was switching the billing date to the beginning of the month) and when we asked the front desk girl, Joelle, she handled it extremely professionally. She really listened to what we were saying and then tried hard to figure out a solution for us. When she couldnt make it happen that night she told us that she would take care of it and not to worry. She followed up with us over the phone the same day and then we went back in she had handled it. We both really appreciated that she took the issue seriously, and without judgement, and then took the time to help us out.

Great place to workout, never have a hard time getting on a machine. Staff is always very nice and locker room is always clean. Overall the club is very clean.

Great gym overall... The only thing I dont like is that theres a guy that is allowed to to into the girls locker room and get completely nude. Its super uncomfortable for me and makes me nervous... Ive been wanting to say something but feel like it would come back negatively.. seriously though its not okay.. this is in the AM between 5am to 630am

I was working out at Planet Fitness for a while and it’s pretty safe to say Crunch Fitness is better in every way. They actually practice what they preach when it comes to no judgment. Great staff, great equipment, great facility.

I really like the Crunch Gym at this location. People are nice, plenty of free weights, machines, treadmills and more. Service is great, people are friendly and the bathrooms are clean!

Overcharged me 3 times in one month totaling in over $100 in overcharges, I called three times to try and speak to someone in charge and the manager never called me back as promised. After getting the run around by their financial institution ABC Financial, I just ended up going through my bank to dispute the charges. I will never use this gym and I will advise anyone I know to avoid it as well.

Disappointed to have been interrupted by trainer veronika m. mid work out and told to leave. Equipment and area were vacant and unmarked when I began workout there, was never advised when area would be available nor invited to join class. Just leave.

The WiFi absolutely sucks, but besides that, this gym is awesome! They have a great mix of equipment and the staff is really friendly and inviting!

I don’t know if the spelling is correct but Manea has the worst customer service. She told me my account went to collections but if I paid today then it wouldn’t.. I asked her what collection agency they use and she then told me she has no idea and that would be up to management.. After I already gave my new card number to a different location earlier in the week so there was no need for it to go to collections in the first place and then this false information and her poor customer service. I’m over it. Not very professional at all

I have cancelled this membership several months ago and they keep charging me.... over 240 dollars they owe me. The manager is rude and I cant find anyone who knows what theyre doing. Id give them 0 if I could.

Really clean gym and not a lot of people. Originally I gave the gym a 5 but now is 3 due to the fact that they been opening late. As I am writing this review I am waiting for them to be open, which they should of open 15 minutes ago.

Poor customer service. Gave me false information. Was charged more then expected. I’ve been trying to get ahold of management for more then two weeks now. Have gone in multiple times. Will NOT be going to crunch again. Don’t waste your time.

I get to work and workout here. I have been in the industry for over 20 years and no other gym offers the service, selection, amenities, and energy for the price point. From the CTC Adilt jungle gym to the Olympic Lifting platforms and every lifting toy you want in a gym not to mention the awesome group training! Come in, ask for me, I’d love for you to experience it.

This has happened to others who have left the company before, just didnt think it would happen to me.Underpaid and overworked thats why you will see such high turnover in their locations. I am happy for what I learned and I wish the best for the company, that I have to watch my back no matter what because there are snakes in the water.....🐍🐍🐍Weird how I was never given access to view my payroll and now my check is shorted...I feel upset with myself for believing that CRUNCH had my back when they did nothing but show me they did not.

THEY HAVE A DECLINE BENCH!!! Should be standard, but this is the only Crunch Ive found that has one. I rearrange my workout schedule, so if I know Im going to be in Vancouver, its on chest day.
