TC hooked me up with fiber-wire internet in Enterprise AL and it is extremely fast and I only pay around 90 a month . I dont use cable and stream or livestream all of my fav shows from the internet and I also live trade stocks, so fast reliable internet is a must have. I talked with a representative Gunter who was so patient & kind, helpful in explaining the difference in Troy Cable compared to others in our area. I jump the gun out of frustration in a survey I first posted, not so pleased with the over all service but the bosses are trying to fix our problems and I deeply appreciate all the options theyre working on. So with that said thank God for solutions :) Im looking forward to my venture hopefully for a long time with Troy Cable.

The WiFi is horrible unless you purchase a router from somewhere else, the router they have is no good and you rent it for a fee every month! You will save hundreds if you get your own router and have better WIFI! They are also expensive on cable and internet!

When i had them the service was great. I moved and now its half a mile from my house. They offer nothing here and only say there is not enough people in my area to run it the other half mile. Im zoned for troy cable so i cant get internet through any of the other providers.

I Payed 6 or 7 Hrs Ahead Of Time To Get My WiFi Reconnected ,Still No Respone.I Called Several Times and They Said Someone Will Be Here Shortly But Never Came.

They are always eager to help with any issues and havent pulled the Have you tried resetting blah,blah line. They will send help and dont treat their customers like burdens. Very happy with both accounts we have with them (business and residential).

Worst internet company in America. They prey on innocent college kids and people that dont know any better. I couldnt get AT&T internet because of the monopoly that Troy Cable has on most of Troy through their contracts. So I was forced to go with Troy Cable. Ill put it you like this, I pay $120 a month for completely garbage internet. It should be a ILEGAL how bad of a deal this is. Most people pay around $40 a month for Internet 3x faster. Im supposed to be getting 100 mbps (not even that fast) but in reality Im getting about 30 MAYBE. So thank you Troy Cable for breaking my wallet while providing me with completely terrible internet these past two years.

With such high prices for internet/cable, you’d think Troy Cable would have 24 hour tech support. But no - tech support has bankers’ hours. Time for me to find another provider! It’s pathetic to pay $200/month for such poor customer service. OH, and my account is listed under Vickye Bowden (just so you cannot use that as an excuse to not correct the aforementioned complaints).

Internet is good with some skipping. DVR is very poor quality and options (extremely outdated ). We will be returning a cable box since they charge too much for each one.

Moved here about 7 years ago and was told then that they were working on bringing fiber to the area within the next 2-3 years. Fast forward 7 years later and i keep getting the run around. Weve also had to call various times to have various issues fixed and multiple line issues resolved that shouldnt of happened in the first place. The customer service and techs are wonderful, the service is stable but it isnt what is promised and as far as the so called HD channels? My Hulu does better on the lower end of the settings. I understand issues arise but dont advertise what you cant deliver then charge an arm and a leg for it all anyway.

I have had internet phone and television service for a long time now. I have never had worse service in all the years that I have had these services. For the last year I have been with spotty service at best. It has gotten to the point that it is a source of frustration that I dont need.

Worse cable company we have ever had. Internet comes and goes, we have made several complaints and always get excuses. The cable is also sorry along with the customer service. They are the only company available to us and they know and do not care if you are satisfied or not. Our bill also went up about 30% when they took over so not only is the service far worse the price is higher also! I have always preferred cable over Dish but I do believe I will be looking into Dish or Directv and see if we can get more for our money, better service and better customer service!

The company is Troy is filled by extremely rude employees. They cursed me out over the phone then hung up in my face. I called back once and got the same result. The woman named Shakira is a horrible person and should be fired.

Troy cable has the best and friendliest customer service I have dealt with in my adult life. I understand that cable companies are fighting an uphill battle and the satisfied majority are often silent while the minority of us who feel we have been wronged are quick to voice our opinions.I suspect Troy Cable has spent a TON of their own money expanding fiber internet in the area, and with that understanding and the knowledge that they are a locally owned business I am happy to pay the price they ask for in their packages for as long as they can continue to give me quality internet and customer services.

Troy Cable has given us wonderful service for over 5 years. We have only had 3-4 outages in this time frame - and they were very brief. When we call with a problem, everyone is extremely helpful.

Best Internet Service Provider I have had. Customer Service and Reps responded immediately when my service goes down. Ive had squirrels and ants eat through utility lines in the neighborhood and lightning burn all my lines and lots of electrical damage they fixed on a Sunday. They replaced the hardware and there was no extra cost for this. There very honest in pricing and packages. If I have a question about my bill Denise is super fast to tell me what is what. Even if I dont agree or get mad when a PPV doesnt come through they work through it with me. You are actually talking to real people, not robots or people from Ecuador,Panama,India etc.. Comcast and Time Warner uses off shore reps that barely speak english (they just tell you reset your router with no helpful info. If your internet is slow you need to test your hardware and device usage across wifi. I have a high speed gaming router and the speed is limited through hardware mostly and users understanding of networking. Sometimes its slower in peak time but Im streaming youtube,netflix,amazon and have 4 or 5 computer devices using tons of bandwith. It is the best service in town.

Said to replace the not working router wait for 2 days everytime call the customer service said they will come to repair it and i need to stay at home all the time. They dont make phone call to notice you. You need to wait in your home and delay your woking to wait the very bad custom service

Called to inform them about my router not picking up certain devices. The guy tried a few things and nothing worked. He said I needed a new router. Spent $80 on a new router and my internet is still not working. They told my husband we needed to upgrade plans. Now why would we pay more for internet services that currently do not work? Called this evening and an answering service took my call but could provide me with absolutely no help. Now if you can pay for an answering service, why cant you pay for technicians to be there at night? Ill take my $70 a month somewhere else!

Horrible internet service. Its always out!! Customer service is terrible as well. My husband made a promise to pay and confirmed that our service would not be interrupted. Our internet was disconnected the day before payment was due because the CSR didnt notate our account!! When my husband asked to speak to a manager the lady on the phone said she was the supervisor and there was nothing she could do because there was no proof. Lucky for her I wasnt the one she was speaking with! I wish he would have gotten their names! Im trying to find a new provider asap!!

I get DDoSd regularly and they do nothing to assist me to get back online! Prices are outrageous! And the service is down all the time! Good luck uploading a YouTube video and playing a video game without lagging!

Internet randomly cuts out. I try restarting everything and nothing works. I try calling the help number and lo and behold no one there to answer. I pay $59 a month for Internet and its not only the slowest internet Ive ever had. But it is not reliable at all. I wish I went with AT&T. At least their customer service is open 24/7.

Cable is ok, internet also, office customer service friendly. Security department, however is so full excremet, it stinks! Set up apointment twice with them for specific time frame, both times are No Shows...when I call to see whats up, all I get is voicemail and no call back.Update: added 1 more star...Randy, from Security department, called me to apologize for inconvenience and had their Lead technician out with in 20 minutes to fix my problem. Great! A for that. Should not have taken all it took to get this far to fix it though. I was told Randy is working hard to get their Standards up. Well see...

By far the worst internet provider you HAVE to pay for. If there was any other option in Troy I would use it and be happy. Ive personally checked the ping and its never gotten above a C grade on a good day. And it stays bad, it never gets better, and it never will.

Internet continues to go in and out. Upgraded service to the best internet they had and it just made it worse. Ive called for a tech over and over but they will not return my calls. Absolutely ridiculous cant even have 1 full day without the internet going out. Dont get the full speed that we are charged for either.

They require a 2 year ironclad contract for cable to get basic internet at Lake Martin. Their rates are much higher than either of the city residences I own, and the service is slower, the required cable channel selection much worse. I have not seen a 2 year contractual requirement in many years. In my opinion, the fact that this appears to be such a rip-off screams out for competition, as the abuses of a monopoly are evident. It is cheaper and just as fast to use my phone as a hotspot and get internet and any TV I watch online. Beware of Troy Cablevision! Only put 1 star because that was the minimum to review.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. prices are way to expensive for what they give you and even for the Mach internet you must live in certain places. The regular plans available to everyone are horrendous with the most expensive being only 30 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload which is absolutely trash. I would not recommend to anyone looking for a cable/internet company.

Have had Troy cable for a little over a month. The internet goes out just about every other night for 30 minutes to an hour. This is ridiculous for the amount we pay. The internet is currently out at this moment. We truly need more options for internet in this area.

Your customer service and IT apartments are very friendly and patient but have done very little to actually solve our issues. And despite being on the phone with them several hours at a time, weve only been told what our problems are and no way of how to fix them (that have actually worked). Im not taking away from the fact that they try tried to help us, because they did. However, despite the work being put forth, theyve seemingly made no progress in solving our issues.We even upgraded our plan to Diamond (or the $80 plan which is the best our building gets) and changed our channel to try to get less congestion from the apartments around us, and believe it or not, it added to our issues. Im starting to believe that its impossible to actually fix our heap of problems (constant internet dropping and crashing of web pages, etc.) and that we should just settle with what we have or switch to AT&T.Please respond ASAP so that we can know if we need to keep calling or not.Thanks! :)P.S. Worst customer service ever!!! This is what $29,000,000 in Obama stimulus money gets you...A company that is in way over their heads, with exaggerated internet speeds, non-existent customer service and high prices ($55 for mid-level internet)...unless you live in govt housing-then it is free!!!! Oh and they have a monopoly in 4-5 counties in southeast Alabama...so the consumer is pretty much hosed...The only other alternative is satellite may as well go back to dial-up...There customer service line rolls the caller to a messaging system, forcing one to leave a call-back number...so one cannot even speak to a tech...:(:(:(

I called earlier today because the internet was out, yet again, when the internet is out at least 2-3 times per month for hours! I work from home and losing up to $70 per hour when I cannot make my appointment times. Woman said she would have someone out by the evening (it was 11 am when I called). I asked if that was really the earliest time, she got irritated and said Yes, that is SERIOUSLY the earliest they can come out. If you dont like it, switch to AT&T. Well, you know what? I will. This is the worst ISP I have ever had in my life. I am not going to lose business anymore.

Troy Cable internet alone is horrible. They tell you a description of what you are supposed to receive, however you only receive maybe half of the description. The internet cuts in and out, you can not play any kind of gaming console on Troy Cable Internet. As well as you cannot surf the web while someone else is trying to do anything on the Internet without it messing their service up. They also increase the price without any acknowledge to the customers. My advice is to get another cable provider.

Seriously, the cable is crap 1/2 the channels pixelate or go black every day especially morning. And its so expensive for what little you get. The internet is fast WHEN it works....which it knocks out at least 1-2x a week for hrs. And if the wind blows too hard it all pixelates and goes to to be announced and net doesnt work. The ppl in the building are fine just the company/sevice they offer is sad.

The other reviews speak for themselves. I pay $79 just for internet, and its supposed to be top tier. I average 18 mega bits per second which equates to an average of 2 mega bytes per second. Troy Cable will slap you with a $10 fee for single service meaning if you dont have cable or phone service they will charge you for the heck of it. One way or another they are going to reach into your wallet and take your money. Unfortunately there is no other service in my area that will offer better speeds, so Im stuck until I move. The only saving grace from the one star review is they have been prompt in responding to issues, but still... Ive had plenty of ISPs from various different states and one would expect to pay far less for outdated speeds in a world where my cell phone seems to have faster internet speeds. nuff said.

WatchTVanywhere is a product that I never thought Id use, but NBCSN on watchTVanywhere turned out to be the only place in the United States where I could watch the Paris-Roubaix bicycle race live and complete. Through Troy Cable, signup was simple and quick, and I was able to watch the entire race live, uninterrupted, and commercial free. And with Troy Cables solid internet speeds, the picture and sound quality were top notch. It was awesome, even though Peter Sagan didnt win.

Im a former Charter Customer who has been ripped off by Troy Cable ever since they took over our service.. Im told I have to subscribe to their crappy cable TV service to get Internet. Please, someone give us a cheaper option for Internet! My bill keeps going up and up...

Ive had worse internet, but Ive had way better. Mine cuts in and out sometimes, or dips below 1/3 of the advertised speed. The price is much higher than it should be (this is the case for most ISPs in the States, though... dont look up what other countries pay unless you want to have a stroke) and if you only want internet be ready to pay even more for a single service fee. Tech support is so-so. Dont even think about trying to get them on the phone. Ive never - NEVER - been able to reach someone via phone. Depending on who you get, customer service might be nice and helpful or it might be horrendous (confrontational, refuses to help, makes things difficult and complicated to get you out the door, etc.). Overall, Troy Cable sucks. When its working as advertised its nice but God help you if you run into the smallest hiccup.*UPDATE - 10/14/2014*I recently moved to a new place. My internet has been generally reliable, only dropping to garbage a couple times (should have 100% uptime considering the price, though). One thing that pissed me off is when they set up my new service, they got my email wrong so I never received a bill. I went in a couple days after I expected to get my bill to ask why I hadnt received it yet only to find that the bill due date at my new place was half a month different than my last one and my bill was overdue. They made a clerical error and I had to pay the late fee for it. Customer service couldnt care less that they screwed me. They just wanted their money. Please save me from this monopoly, Google Fiber!

Internet is pretty good most of the time but sometimes cuts out for no apparent reason. They get to charge whatever they want since they have a monopoly in the area.

Troy Cable has the absolute worst WiFi I have ever seen. It constantly goes in and out everyday. I can sit down and try to use it and it will go out 2-3 times in 30 minutes. It is so unreliable it is almost useless.
