My first time there and I loved it. Prices werent too bad. Friendly customer service. I definitely wanted to take the massage chair home with me lol.

If only I could say zero stars.... for starters the man who did my nails did not speak nor introduce himself... after an hour an a half I looked at My nails and paid $80 for a set of nails that looked awful they werent covering my nails and I was charged extra for coffin mid length nails and instead they were round. The gel on the nail had air bubbles they werent the length I wanted or the color and there were pieces of the acrylic nail tip was hanging from each nail.. he cut my finger with the files and was wiping monomer over these cuts... it was unacceptable I am not confrontational though. My step mom called and complain and the lady on the phone said to come back... once we got there we sat for 15 or 20 min before any one acknowledged our existence... she eventually told me my nails were coffin a round is how coffin nails should look.. she told me she would not give me a refund or soak them off ( I was over the place and didnt want to sit ther3 eventually after my step mom arguing with her for a while she agreed to give me the refund but said in order to she needed to remove the nails ..she had me sit down at her desk after implying I was stupid and mumbled under her breath something in Chinese while grabbing a nail clipper and clipped all of the nail off to my natural nail in front of everyone and then I got my refund and left many customers waiting said tht I was being treated wrong and one even said this is ridiculous we should video record... I left crying and upset and all I wanted was a nice pair of nails for home coming.

I love this place for nails. I usually set up an appointment although walk-ins are welcome. The prices are very reasonable although I never get anything other than a pedicure. The people are great and I do feel they keep a clean environment. Highly recommend 😍

Just moved here from Iowa. Set up appointment for pedi, mani and eyebrow wax. In all the years I have had pedicures done, I have never had one done as well as Jacqueline did mine. This place was clean, everyone was friendly and quality work was received. They are a very busy place so you need to have patience. I will definitely be keeping my business there.

I was a regular here for about a year. If you get certain people then youll leave with great nails. If not theyre horrible. I got my nails done today and was swapped between 2 different people. The first Lady acted like she didnt have time for me, even though I made an appointment and they started me 20 minutes after my appointment time. I had to soak off my gel polish and acrylics, so she used the electric file, fine, normal. Except she had it turned up so fast because she was rushing that she was burning my nail beds. I physically pulled away from the pain. Then she passed me off, half done, to someone else who used an entirely different technique. Now I know not all nail techs are the same, but all my nails are different shapes and lengths, even after asking to fix them twice. I was about to just shape them myself because theyre sharp and uneven(even after he was done). Also, the color doesnt even go to the edges of my nails. When he was filing my nails, 90% of it was him filing my finger, not my nails. Theyre also incredibly lumpy... When you spend $55 on nails that should last at least 2 weeks, there are certain things that should be standard. My nails should look the same, the color should go to the edges of my nails, and dont cause me pain. I feel like thats not asking for much. Lost a customer from me. Gave them so many chances, but almost every time I go home and fix them myself. Im not saying dont go here, just save yourself some time and money and dont let Larry do your nails.

My nails were done completely wrong after I repeatedly told the nail tech he was not doing them how I asked. He’s finally done and I don’t like them. I go back to get them fixed. The owner sent me back to the same guy and then tried to charge me for fixing them. I asked for a refund and was told they have to cut my nails, which was fine, however she was way too aggressive. No professionalism whatsoever! I was also as polite as I could be as the owner and another employee spoke to me as if they had no intelligence. They also over charged me. I went with a friend and my nails were not as nearly as long as hers but yet charged her less.

I went in for a balance. Instead of being told verbally how much it would be for a balance. They brought me a receipt in the amount of 234$ Before I got my balance. My pedicure was 72$ cool.. So my balance wouldve been 162$... Way to expensive for just a balance and gel polish...

Daughter and I went together. Started on her,then 30 min. later my technician started mine. Appt. Was booked in advance and same start time. Dont know if Ill go back. Didnt feel like the money I paid was worth it. Do like the massage chairs.

I made an appointment but when I got there it wasnt in the books, so I had to wait about 35 minutes after they told me it would be 15 minutes. They are very busy and somewhat disorganized. I wasnt the only customer who experienced this. I saw others who had appointments come in and the staff looked a little dumbfounded. Then others walked in and went right to a technician. Their system is confusing! One lady said she waited an hour and a half. I witnessed her get a snide comment from the owner so she left. I dont blame the customer. If you are a regular and know them, I guess its good for you. But if youre new or they dont know you, forget it! They dont seem to care what others say about their business. It looks like its all about the money and getting people through. They over promise and under deliver, not a good business strategy. I suggest hiring someone to be at the front, a receptionist or something. If you do go here, be very clear about the day/time, WHO youre going to have and ask them if they wrote it in the book.She did a pretty good job on my nails, but its about more than that....I probably wont be back and I doubt they care.

I went in for dip nails and got THEE worst service. I had a appointment that they couldnt find and then they sat me down and begin to soak off my old dip. The guy left me sitting there for 20 minutes and never came and checked on me. Not only that he proceeded to do 2 other peoples nails. Didnt even give me the nail color selection or nothing. Just walked off. When I asked about why I was sitting so long they removed the rest of my ndip that they had said wasnt ready to be removed and said they have you sit for 30 minutes but if I was happy with my last person why did I leave. It isnt good to leave who you like. I was told We do it a certain way and if you dont like dont come back. Then I was charged $16 and told that the original guy was now unable to do my nails. I would not recommend this place if it was the last nail shop in town.

Eileen Lee did my nails. She was friendly, gentle, did them in a timely manner and with great quality. She knew exactly what I wanted. I do not get my nails done often because I am picky. She is highly recommended.

Terrible first time experience!!! I would suggest to go anywhere in the world besides this place. My girl and I had a appointment for 2 pedicures her fill in and my manicure. From the beginning they were nasty towards the white receptionist treating her so mean. Then they weren’t organized or responsive to English as if they were doing it on purpose. Im a alpha female I’m masculine but I’m very comfortable with my feminine side as well which has never included color on my nails. I sat down asked questions as usual this young feminine male had headphones on and started with a drill this isn’t my first manicure so I thought maybe it was special never had a drill during a manicure. I asked him what he was doing this fool said nothing repeatedly. After I rinsed my hands he said what gel or acrylic something like that and I’m like I asked for a manicure with my natural nail are you being funny what are you doing he laughed and said nothing. At that point I thought he was slow so I ignored him I just wanted to relax and enjoy what I came for. O the lady pulled out her calculator before we were seated asked if we knew the prices as if we couldn’t afford cause were black young or lesbian but she didn’t pull no calculator out on NOBODY else. So back to dude, he did not do anything but that drill put lotion on my hands and was funny put some kinda color on my nails! My girl said it was a gel but that’s not what I asked for. Didn’t notice the color til later. I allowed that part we did not continue to do the pedicures because I hate drama I hate to argue I rather fight. Instead we left in peace and drove 30 minutes for the best services we ever received. They were kind clean and professional about their services. I will never ever return here and their clean towels had other people skin in them and they don’t clean out their pedicure bowls very well. Highly do not recommend. These type of business take advantage of having many customers they will start to treat people any kind of way. Go somewhere else forreal

I made an appointment for 5:30 to get a pedicure. When I walked in and asked if they could help me, I mentioned I had a 5:30 appointment. I got there at 5:20. Customers walked in and went straight to technicians. They went over the sign in sheet multiple times. I ended up waiting a whole hour before they realized I was still standing there for my appointment. The guy that did my pedicure apologized multiple times as he said he was unaware of my appointment. He did a great job on my pedicure and i would defiantly recommend him. Only I refuse to go back. They are unorganized and cant seem to keep up with appointments. Seems as if their regulars get treated the right way when they come in.

Went here and my appointment was at 2. they finally got started at 2:40. i made it very clear that i wanted ombré nails before we started and he said okay. the lady at the desk said it was $65 but at first i wanted a different set and she said $120 DOLLARS. he got started on my nails, and about half way through i mentioned the ombré, and he told me that i had to mention it BEFORE he started and said he wasn’t able to do it, even though i mentioned it before he started. he cut me, and ended up talking about an hour and a half. the lady came back over at me and asked me to show her the photo, then i did and she started yelling at me about how the 2 SINGLE NAIL DESIGNS WERE $102 ALL TOGETHER AND SAID I NEVER SHOWED HER THE PHOTO. thank god i paid for the set before i got them, because she tried screwing me over for my money. overall cute, just absolutely horrible customer service. do not recommend.

My 13 year old daughter was taken advantage of this salon. She was charged $70 for acrylic nails that she was told would be $40 plus $5 for each design. She got 2 designs. The man that did her nails was not nice to her, he told her if she asked anymore questions he would charge her more money. It is awful that this business would take advantage of young girls. Her friend was also charged a ridiculous amount. We will never go back.

I had jacklyn, she did an awesome job on my nails. I am looking forward to heading back to this place in a few weeks. The only complaint I had was their bathroom, the bathroom is like dark, the lights are dimmed and the bathroom is dirty. These people are supper nice and jacklyn kept asking me if I was okay just to make sure she wasn’t hurting me. I love this place!!

Both times I have come here I went to Nicole and my nails have been beautiful.

(Warning! They over charged my account. $80 instead of the original price we agreed on.) My nails look horrible honestly. I paid $70 and I cried when I got in the car because they are ugly. And lumpy. No apex flat nail and it broke less than an hour. Im so sad because I paid so much and they are not going too last long.

Wanted nail art but the person I had doesnt do it

The guy I had was trying to upsell gel on my toes for an extra 15 dollars on top of the 50 dollar deluxe pedicure that was already purchased (i dont even know what the difference between the regular and deluxe pedicure was. Ive had regular pedicures elsewhere that were the same if not better than what I got with this deluxe). I told him regular polish was fine. He told me it would take 2 HOURS to dry and that I couldnt put my boots back on and that I had to wear the dinky sandals outside in the snow.. (dramatic) I let them dry for 15 mins after the pedi and put my boots on.. they were fine.. he also painfully dug into the side of both of my big toenails disfiguring the nail and told me I had 2 ingrown toenails. It was unlike any pedi Ive ever had. I wont be returning!

I booked appointment weeks out for my birthday which is June 22 of 2021 and when I got there they said that the lady that was supposed to do nails for the designs wasn’t there and I booked weeks out and make sure I was specific about me having pretty butterflies on my nail it was a lady that I seen out and she said oh I go to JJ nails on Monroe Street and I only let the owner do my nails got the air in my nails was not able to get done and today is my birthday day and they called me back and I tried to explain to them to see if they was going to correct it and all the lady said was OK bye very rude I said disrespectful and I hung up

I had gotten a gift card to go to a nail place in Sylvania, and they did such a bad job that I called and asked for them to redo them, went back and got them redone and the quality was still absolutely terrible. Uneven acrylic, spotty gel application, and they cut all my skin around my nail bed. I called and made an appointment at JJs with one of the owners and she took the time to take all of the previous set off and did an entirely new set without over charging me. I have no lifting, the perfect shade, and she searched the salon for the color I wanted. 10/10 recommend this place.

Completely reshaped my nails and I’m embarrassed to even have them seem.I was charged 48 dollars for a balance with gel polish.Did prices go up and we weren’t informed! Then I still had to tipAnd now my nails are horrible,. There was nothing wrong with his mannerisms but that’s 55 dollars for a balanceTotally disappointed

Tgey called me the day before to confirm at 9:40 am at 1:40pm they called me back to change it. I also had an apt for my daughter for the same time so I wasnt changing it. She kept her apt. When they put the nails on the girl couldnt see to manage to put them all on straight. And tried to blame it on her fingers. I would never go back. It was totally unprofessional.

My favorite place

Arrived at six, was finally seated for manicure and pedicure at 7:20. I did not have an appointment, however, many others who came after me did not either and were helped before I was. I wanted a full set and a pedicure. The lady who gave me my full set rushed to complete this. She had me sit down for the pedicure and painted my nails at the pedicure seat and did a terrible job. She missed the bottom of nails and did two coats which was not enough. The color had streaks in it and she was aware but chose to rush out and leave the nails as is. I had another employee do a third coat and she was very nice, but overall, the full set looks terrible. The young lady who administered the pedicure was great and attentive. I arrived at six, left after nine and paid over $100.00. I will not be going back. Unless you are friends with the staff, you should not go.

I drove from Michigan to get my nails done do to covid there were no nails shop open yet . I got a pedicure with two overlays on my big toe worse pedicure ever which took 2mins regular polish $57 to expensive. Hands done tips acrylic gel polish and shape $79 omg extremely high its been 2 weeks all my tips are broke the first 3 broke by the 4th day. This place is expensive and the nails pop right of so I paid $142 total for nails and pedicure for it to last for5days

I called in at the last minute so yeah I had to wait over 2hrs but I was pleased and would come back again. Only thing I wish was that I could remember my nail techs name so I could ask for her personally. I loved the chill and laid back atmosphere.

Took my daughter for a walk in to get a manicure, well aware that we might have a good wait. We were 3rd walk in. But very disappointing that no one greets you or pays any attention unless you are a regular client. This was our first time here. 20 minutes after we came in, a woman walked in found her normal manicurist who was actually finishing up with a pedi. She asked “do you have an appointment with me today?” The lady said no but could you fit me in. She took her back to her station to soak her gel nails while she finished her pedicure on the previous client. This lady had no appointment, walked in and was taken before us or the 3 signed in prior. I asked about it to another worker and she acted like she really didn’t care. Told me if I want to leave my number and go get a bite to eat that they will call when they are one client away from us. We walked out and went next door to Elle Salon. They actually only have one lady that does nails and was really nice and offered to stay after her shift to do my daughters nails if we came back later. She was excellent with my 13 year old and very pleasant! Found a new manicurist!!

Most operators are very professional and do a great job with manicures and pedicures. Great selection of polishes. Establishment is clean and orderly. Downside...unless you have an appointment, your wait time may be long.

I was nervous about the experience at first. The lady told me she was going to just put my tips on bc she had an appt at 1:40pm but I guess they cancelled.I wish I could give this place a 4.9. the lady I had was Sarah which she was nice. She did an amazing job on my nails and she went back to redo her mistakes which impressed me. However though both my middle finger nails are different sizes. We cant all be perfect but I will return to her though.

I have seen multiple techs here and they all have been kind, easy to talk with, and great at their job.

Update: I went back for a balance today and was refused service because they were understaffed. While its not the employees fault, its very disappointing. Unfortunately for myself, I wont be back. Its in a very convenient location, but the service time isnt worth it.The wait here is terrrrrrrible. Has been each time Ive gone. This last time, I got Brittany, who did an amazing job on my gel acrylics. Ill be going back just for her. But the last time I came, I waited over an hour (again), and got pretty bad service. Lee got up quite a few times to help others and a random worker ended up finishing my set. They were lumpy looking and broke quickly. They are very nice people, but not so organized. They need to work on getting customers served quicker.

I love this salon! Its really close to my house and Lilly is awesome! Her and Mr Lee run a fantastic business with great friendly staff! Ive never had a bad experience other than when I was told they wont do pink and white when the weather is cold? Apparently the powder doesnt set well?! And the girl who did my nails, Dee, wore sunglasses bc she had a migraine. Other than that I have never had a bad experience.

Lily is amazing. Sincere , friendly & she will remember your name and things about you even if youve only seen her once. It doesnt matter how long since you were there, you are always welcome & treated like an old friend. I have been using their services for years, now, & not once have I been anything but extremely satisfied.I used my daughters salon while in Vegas with her. It took 2 months for a deep abrasion higher on my heel, actually my lower ankle, than even should have been touched to heal. It also cost a lot more!The skill, expertise & kindness they always provide @ JJ is so respectful & truly appreciated.Thank you to the whole family.Becky W-T.

This is the worst nail shop I have ever been in. I have not had my nails a full week a d already 2 of my nails broke off one broke 2 days after I got them done and the other 2 days after that. I wouldnt even give them a star. Im pretty sure the product they are using have to be really cheap. Save your money and if you do go there stay away from Sam.

My first experience here was really nice I got a full acrylic set for about 45 dollars and the male owner did them for me. Unfortunately when I went back to get a balance the female owner was trying to charge me way more than what I paid for a full set. And when I was trying to ask her why it cost so much she said it was because my nails grew, which is supposed to happen anyways... She also was walking away as I was speaking to her and I have never went back since.

Love it here! Theres a handful of really good techs! Sydney is my favorite, been going to her for years for my acrylics and pedicures! I also heard Tina is very good too, shes always very busy! Make sure you schedule an apt its always pretty busy in there.

Does good work, very pricey. My nails are stubs, for a regular Mami with gel on finger nails only $75 plus tax. When I got to the counter to check out, tech said your bill is $75, Lily sitting there listening said no, its $78. We both asked when did it change, she (Lily) said it changed today. She sits there at cash register and increase the price in random. It cuts into the girls tips. She knows what she is doing, inflating prices on you at the last minute. One day, someone may boycott them for this

Wait is bad, even with appointment. My mom got basic manicure, her tech sliced her fingers with a hand held file! She was that rough. Thirty dollars for that. The tech tried to say she didnt do that. Not to mention always on the phone. I wanted acrylics and Ive had them a week and all of them have broken off, all Ive been doing is every day things. Not to mention I wanted regular polish and the girl came back with gel and started painting them all. She got up to get the lamp again and I asked what was it for, she said to harden the GEL. I told her thats not what I wanted. She said too late and charged me 60 dollars for what I didnt want. Not going back
