I chose Good Guys because they did both floors and drywall and we had water damage from the Winter Storm. Their pricing was reasonable and I liked the account manager we were assigned as she seemed to have good attention to detail. However, there were some challenges, like the fact that the account manager quit right before our project was supposed to start. But, Good Guys pulled through for us in our required timeline (we had to move out and insurance had already booked our AirB&B). They were able to get the drywall done in time, even though it apparently wasnt actually on the schedule. Our floors were properly scheduled and they finished quicker than expected so the whole job with touch-ups still was completed a day earlier than our deadline. The quality of the work was really professional, and the crews were fantastic for both the renovation/drywall and the floor installation. They were understanding of what was needed for the job (and sensitive to my requirements during a pandemic!), trustworthy, competent, efficient, kind, and on time. Hard workers that I would highly recommend. Sergio (flooring field manager) and Miguels crew were incredible for flooring, and Tim (remodeling field manager) and Hugos crew did a stellar job at painting and went above and beyond. I was really impressed with the final product of everything. Of course, we had an issue with the actual color of the engineered hard wood that was purchased as I trusted my manager too much, but I learned a valuable lesson and in the end, it works and is still beautiful. I have been recommending this company to everyone who needs one, as they did a great job.

We had this company come and install our flooring. The flooring was purchased at another location and we paid them to professionally install it.They failed to install the product correctly which voided our warranty with the floor company.Good Guys Flooring came out to inspect the problems and said we needed to have the flooring company send someone out to check if it was the flooring or the installation.We did and they said it was a bad installation and voided our warranty.Good Guys said they wanted to send a separate company out to do testing to make sure and when that company sent by Good Guys Flooring came out they didnt check anything because while on the phone with Good Guys the man said they refused to pay for the testing and they left.They have now refused to fix the issue and told us to go back and try to get the flooring manufacturer to warranty it.The issue we are having started less then a month after the installation and we have been going back and forth with them for the last several months.Terrible company to have to deal with.**Edit for reply**Your own comment says that that type of floor typically does not require it. The flooring we used did require it. Your company failing to install the flooring correctly voided the warranty of our floors.And just to be clear ***WE DID PROVIDE UNDERLAYMENT AND YOUR COMPANY DID NOT USE IT*** We even started a section of the flooring ourselves and used the underlayment and your poor excuse of a company removed what was installed and installed it incorrectly.It is very sad that a professional company can not install something correctly and then blame the customer.POOR EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY

Well beyond what we even imagined and hoped for. They converted a tiny half bath into a full downstairs bathroom. It started with Steven Shanley, he was quick to respond with a very reasonable quote. Out of 3 potential bids from other contractors, Good Guys was the lowest. I was a bit surprised, I thought of markup and all. Steven quickly shows up with the design dream team of Rachael and Robert. They add new, space saving ideas. Also, at the initial meeting is Darwin, he is my everything-man. Demo, cutting into the foundation, tile, drywall, paint...everything. So my first impression of this company is solid, because everyone working on this project is right here, right now. Not a plumber showing up in a couple of days, not a different contractor. Everyone is here, so we can all agree. Darwin is a hard working professional. He cleaned up everyday, incredible work ethic. In just 2 weeks, it was done! We, of course, waited for the custom glass shower install. But to have a gorgeous, functioning bathroom in 2 weeks is amazing. Highly recommend this company, you should feel lucky if you get Darwin and his crew.

Anna at Good Guys was a life saver when it came to making selections for my home from tile, to hardwood floors, paint colors, etc. She made the process much easier and was very patient with me when I couldnt make up my mind due to theyre extensive inventory of beautiful tile. She is a great designer and learns and understands your style and budget and you can be comfortable knowing she will lead you in the right direction!

These guys will come out to your house (almost the same day). The quote also comes very quickly. The performed the work the following week over a 2-day period.I was delighted how my upstairs bedroom turned out. Steve was my contact and he was fantastic. I could text him or call him and always be in contact right away. That is very rare to find!I will use this group again when we redo our stairs next year. The price was just right for the project we did. Overall 5 stars for communication, final product, and price.**UPDATE**We used Good Guys once again in our house just the other day. 5/1/20. We had another contractor install hardwood floors in our kitchen but kept the original cabinets. The other contractor placed hardwoods up to the edge of the cabinet, which looked fine. The issue.. When we went to replace our dishwasher years later we found that we could not remove the dishwasher. I had to literally cut a section of hardwood floor out just to get access to the dishwasher.We called Good Guys to come to fix the sections of floor I had to remove for the new appliances. Not only did they fix the floor, but they did it in such a way that I can now remove that section of floor if I ever need access to the dishwasher again. Im sure Im not the only one with this problem so I hope this post finds itself useful to someone else.They fixed the issue in less than 4 hours and the end result speaks for itself. Matt and Garrett are great to deal with. They outlined in fine detail all of the costs and materials associated with our kitchen, Bath and flooring installation with perfection. The communicated very effectively and arranged the install of all elements around other contractors I had doing various other things. We had our large area wood floors installed by Good Guys flooring. Our wood floors have crack lines all over. Some of our wood planks are coming off the ground. When you tell this to them, they will do a really bad job of fixing the issue. This is our 3rd house with the wood floors and I have not seen a worse job than this. I will not recommend this company to any one. They have not offered anything to fix the cracks, rather told us that it’s b/c of heating in the house and will go away in summer. I have never heard that logic before. When I informed them about the bad job done, owner became quite offended and said that since my builder hasn’t paid him yet, I can not complain about the floors. I didn’t understand the logic though. Did they do the bad job purposefully expecting no payment? That’s interesting.

We worked with Chris Cook for the replacing the flooring and counter tops at our home. It was an absolute delight to work with Chris, he helped with the tile selection and provided competitive pricing to get the job done. We are satisfied with the quality of work that was done by the team. There was a slight hiccup after few weeks because of debris left in bathroom drains. However, Chris was very responsive. The team acted quickly to fix the drain issues and are also addressing some of the damages that were caused as a result.I recommend Good Guy because they are professionals and ensure quality of their work after completion. We had luxury vinyl plank flooring installed throughout most of our home. Kelli did a fabulous job helping find the perfect color that would coordinate with the existing oak entertainment built-in and painted kitchen cabinetry. She nailed it. It took a while to put it all together and she was very kind and patient through the entire process. Their installation crew was excellent as well. We couldnt be more pleased.

We used The Good Guys to remodel a bathroom for us and they knocked it out of the park. Removed the old tile and installed new hexagon tile on the floor and penny tile on one of the walls. Turned out great. Also had them change out the plumbing in the bathroom since it was starting to show signs of rust. Would highly recommend them for any home remodeling projects.

Wow, where do I start? I recently purchased my home on 10/5/20. The house was a beautiful design built by Darling Homes with dark hand scraped, hardwood floors. When I took a tour during my house search, I noticed that the spare bedrooms had carpet. I immediately wanted to pull that up to match the rest of the house. I asked the seller if Darling could do it; she said that there was a better resource...Good Guys Flooring. I never heard of the company, so I was skeptical. The seller introduced me to Joey Sims. Im in IT, so I understand the importance of delivering a positive experience. Joey nailed it!! Very professional, educated me on the process, introduced me to the team and followed up at a CEO level. I thought he owned the company. The results were amazing and a spot on match of the Darling floors (maybe better). I was actually floored...no pun intended. I believe I have found a service provider in good guys on other potential projects. Additionally, you will come highly recommended to my peers and friends.You have a leader in Joey Sims...hes a keeper!!

This was the worst company Ive ever dealt with. They gave us substandard carpet, not the right size padding, did not install a z-bar, hammered the edge onto the wooden floors, cracking the floors. Came back second time and added another pad, but due to the quality of the carpet, it couldnt be stretched any further. Came back, put in a z-bar and since the carpet was stretched to the max, could not do the edge properly. Still unresolved and months since it was installed, April 2021, we are at our wits end and would not ever recommend this company to anyone.

We used The Good Guys for new countertops in our media room. They sent over a quote quickly, while we got other quotes Garrett was in contact patiently waiting for our decision. When we decided to use them, Garrett had us set up for an install within a couple of weeks (even though it was the middle of the holidays). Everything was done properly, it looks amazing! The Good Guys flooring installed brand new luxury Vinyl plank in my home. I worked with Matt North directly at the showroom and when he came out to my house to show me samples and give me my quotes. I have to say that The Good Guys really impressed me from start to finish of my project.....from my initial visit with Matt in the showroom all the way until the last sweep of the broom when his crew was done installing my floors. I am very happy with the project. The floors look great and the quality is fantastic. His crew lead by Miguel is excellent at what they do and everything went perfect. Their workmanship, attention to detail, and just their overall skill is evident in the way the work. The clean up was more than I expected as well. When they left they had everything put back in place, the floors were swept and they even mopped them down…..very impressed. I cant say enough about The Good Guys. The Good Guys have a large inventory and a beautiful showroom floor providing lots of choices in every individuals budget. When our wood floors, tile floors and even subfloors were damaged by a water leak in a pipe under our house we were very grateful to have all this repaired and replaced with sensitivity to our situation. We were literally displaced from our home for almost 3 months while repairs were done. The Good Guys coordinated with other contractors i.e. plumbers, electricians, drywall and water damage company to help make our transition as smooth and stress free as they were able. Edd made sure when all was said and done that all work was finished professionally and with attention to detail. He even came up with transitions between our tile and wood floors that we believe is unique and eye catching. We would highly recommend The Good Guys and Edd is just an all around good guy. We had wood floors installed in our home by Good Guys, The Colony. Loren was very friendly, professional and really knows his stuff. They went above and beyond with extras that werent expected. The crew was always on time, very friendly and professional and cleaned up after each day of work. Our floors look amazing. We are extremely happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend Good Guy flooring. 😊

After the initial sales process it was just problem after problem with these guys. You are beholden to their installation and demo crews which they subcontract out the work to and they are terrible. They did a terrible job with the demolition, they did a terrible job with the flooring install, they did not install the carpets on time and they had to come back time and again to fix their issues. Their installers left the jobs in the middle of their work and left the house looking like a disaster. Would NOT recommend using these guys. In general, be careful which company you choose since many subcontract out to the same installers and when doing so, they mostly dont care about the company or you.

GGF did an absolutely outstanding job. The crew worked for two days non- stop and their attention to detail is phenominal. We had some personal finishing touches and transistions which other companies said they couldnt or wouldnt do whereas GGF without question made it happen. They were also extremely flexible in the scheduling with us after many changes on our part. Look no further than GGF!

Salesman David Anderson is a total Pro and initially the reason we planned to purchase from Good Guy Flooring. However, once the entire process went flawless from our selection being ordered and received quickly, the installation scheduled immediately, the installers showing up exactly on time or earlier to begin the job and staying late until they were totally finished with cleanup and putting our items back in place, and my wife and I both admitting that the entire experience exceeded our expectations, we had even more reasons to recommend Good Guy Flooring and not only because of David Anderson!

This is my second time to use The Good Guys Flooring to install floors. The first time was a leak that caused the floors of my entire downstairs to have to be re-done. This time I hired them to remove old carpet and install wood flooring to match the other floors in my house. The did an excellent job both times. Joey Simms, our project manager was always available both in person and via phone and text and made sure everything went smoothly. There were some minor snafus with the installers but Joey was there and made sure it was all corrected to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend working with The Good Guys Flooring on any project you may have. We couldnt be happier.

We had an amazing experience with Joey when we needed to replace our entire downstairs floors due to water damage. When we first requested information from Good Guys on their website on a Sunday morning, we got a text and call from Joey almost immediately. He communicated with us daily along the way, and would show up when needed to make sure everything was perfect. His team did an amazing job on the installation of the new wood floors and baseboards. When the time comes for us to replace the upstairs carpet, we will definitely be working with him again.

I cannot recommend Joey Sims enough. It took me and my husband YEARS (literally) to decide on a carpet. Joey demonstrated the patience of a saint ~ he delivered COUNTLESS samples to our front door, was very informative as to the pros & cons of each, & never made us feel rushed ... (During that time, Joey worked with my mom and several of her neighbors with carpet installs and they were all thrilled with him too!). Everything about our process of working with Joey from the selection to pricing to install to follow-up was top notch, professional, and a pleasure. We, of course, ended up going with the 1st carpet we fell in love with and couldnt be happier with the final product: the carpet is so beautiful and so SOFT & LUSH, I feel like a princess every morning I step on it.

We hired The Good Guys to do our 60 sf bathroom remodel. It was a full remodel, including removal of a wall/pocket door and changing from bathtub/shower combo to just a shower. We also added new recessed lighting, additional electrical outlets, and converted a single entrance door to a double door. The majority of items had been purchased by us (the vanity, most lighting, vent fan, toilet, flooring, and sink/shower faucets) and were already on the job site. The project was said to take two weeks with crews in M-F working from morning until late afternoon. We were told a project manager (PM) would almost always be on site. We felt good with what we were promised, so we signed. This would be a decision we would regret.Over the course of the project, we encountered a severe lack of communication from the company. The project began the day after Labor Day. The first week showed promise, but we noticed that the crews didnt arrive until usually after noon. They would work a couple of hours and then leave for the day. From the second week on, things really changed. Sometimes crews would be there, sometimes not. No idea of who was doing what as a PM wasnt there. Text updates slowed to a crawl, if that. Week three began with a two week quarantine (thanks COVID) but we all agreed that after the 14 days crews would come back in full swing and finish the project in a week. After the quarantine, same old issues. Sometimes crews would show up, but no PM on site to guide or watch. At the end of each day, we would notice faulty workmanship and detail it to the PM through text message - sometimes a short reply, sometimes not. After a period of no workers at all, we discovered the PM was no longer with the company. It took another two weeks before anyone would come back to start working again. Fingers pointed between the construction contractor and his crews/former PM, between The Good Guy sales manager and the construction owner of GSR, etc. We dont care about who is to blame, FIX THE ISSUES! Do not put the customer in the middle! The fact is that someone should have been overseeing this and catching the issues as they happened, and there was no one doing that on either side.The project took TEN weeks to complete (that is after taking out the quarantine period). By the end of it, we were so done that we just wanted them out of the house. The bathroom looks ok now, but we would not say it is great or what we expected. We are not even excited by the bathroom as it is just a reminder of the months of frustration. Based on the above, we do not recommend using The Good Guys for your remodel.

This company is top notch with every aspect of flooring selection, installation and customer service. I am a project manager and they just finished a sand on site job for Mrs. K due to a water loss. The customer was extremely pleased with how it all came out. She loved the color and the way the wood was installed/finished with no noticeable difference between the new and old flooring. I cannot say enough about the excellent level of service, responsiveness and professionalism we received from Edd Cook as the sales representative for Good Guy. He continually strives for excellence and takes care of any issues immediately. Looking forward to the next job and many more happy customers.

A few days ago my grandpa broke down in their parking lot. The tire on it was popped and he had no way to getting it back to fort worth. Thinking his car would get towed he called me to come get his car so it wouldnt be. I contacted Steven Shanley after he informed my grandma about the car safety. This man is the ideal American. Him and his team of heroes came together and replaced the tire. They also left an envelope full of cash to help out. It wasnt much but it was enough to make an old man cry. We purchased a house with ugly tile floors and poorly integrated engineered hardwood knowing that we would immediately be replacing all the flooring. We shopped around a lot to make sure we were making an informed decision, and ended up going with Good Guy Flooring for the job. Joey was our representative from the start, and he was phenomenal. In fact, he really was one of the biggest reasons we chose Good Guy. His communication was outstanding, he was extremely knowledgeable, and he absolutely ensured that we understood the entire process and then oversaw the project to make sure it went as promised. He went above and beyond to get us samples and find us the best deal possible - we really couldnt be happier with his service, or the end result! Would highly recommend Good Guys...make sure to ask for Joey!

We had an excellent experience with good guys flooring and Joey Sims, he was by far the best project manager and contractor we’ve ever worked with. They refinished our wood floors beautifully, the crew was very skilled and Joey kept us informed and followed through on everything they said they would do. It was excellent customer service and they made sure that the job was completed perfectly. They really are the “Good guys”, truly professional contractors, and I’d enthusiastically recommend them to anyone with a flooring project.

My husband and I worked with Joey to hardwood our entire downstairs and couldnt be more happy with the results. Once we decided on the color we wanted, the process was very fast and efficient. His team came in and gutted all the tile we had with little to no mess and some of the new flooring was laid a day and a half after starting. Joey communicated with us the whole time and was very responsive to our emails/texts which were often in the late evening. Thanks Joey and team!

I worked with Steven specifically. Filled out an email inquiry on a Sunday and he got with me no more than an hour. Came out next morning. Quoted reasonably. I got 6 transitions installed and custom stained to match my floor for $180 with a crew of 3. I will be using them again. Great flooring company to have in my back pocket! Thanks Steven!

I highly recommend Joey Sims and Good Guy Flooring. Joey’s knowledge of flooring options is second to none and his customer service is exceptional. Our flooring project involved an insurance claim and Joey was great to work with throughout the process from the initial visit through the completion of the project. Joey was extremely helpful and patient with us, explained the process, researched our existing damaged floors and determined they were no longer manufactured, and assisted us in selecting a flooring option to adequately replace our current floors. Joey even took the time to discuss his estimate and any questions directly with our insurance company on multiple occasions which saved us a lot of time. Joey exceeded our expectations and we would gladly work with him and Good Guy Flooring in the future.

Joey and the team just finished my shower and it looks amazing. He kept me posted all along the way keeping me updated on the progress. They were always on time and when I would get home in the afternoon it was always all cleaned up. Definitely recommend these guys to do any and all your tile work.

Steven Shanley came out to my house to measure, and I had the quote within a few hours. If I had any questions he was quick to return my calls. Always polite always respectful and patient. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, and responsive in every and any flooring situation, this company by far blew me away with their customer service and exceptional workmanship. I worked directly with Chris Matthews. I expressed that I needed my floors done in my office within a short window of time. He was very thorough with his evaluation, quick to reply, and catered to my every need. The most impressive part about this company is they are not one dimensional. They have all the pieces to make your project a dream come true!!!

Joey and the installation crew came through with my time sensitive project with flying colors. Everything from my first phone call, estimate, installation and clean up was completed in 2 1/2 days. The crew worked late in the day to get the job completed on the day needed and I cant be more appreciative or happy with the results. They cleaned up when they were finished and even disposed of some of the flooring mess another company had left. Definitely would recommend this company to anyone looking for flooring installation.

Great! Out of 4 bids obtained, I chose Good Guy Flooring due to reviews I read and their attention to detail on all aspects of the job. Their rep (Bill) came by the house (twice) prior to me accepting the bid with numerous samples and most importantly, full explanations and even suggestions on what to do. He took the time to answer in detail all my questions (I had many). He also visited the house on and off during the project to make sure everything was going smoothly. What was great is that they could do all the flooring in the house ...tile, carpet and vinyl planks. Visited their wonderful showroom to complete the project details. Quality of work was very good thanks to project lead guy, Joel. Punch list was very short and punch list items were all taken care of. No push-back on anything. They truly want nothing more than to make the customer happy.

Both Matt and Levi North oversaw the work and progress. They made sure we were happy with the color and workmanship of the new hardwood floor. They kept us apprised of the progress and timeline. We are very happy with the result and the new look in our master bedroom.

After much research on flooring companies, we felt Good Guys met our needs, budget and our tight timeline.We cannot say enough about the quality of workmanship provided by Good Guys. Well worth the investment. We wanted a flooring company super familiar with installing engineered wood with many years experience. Good Guys provided a crew of 3 to rip out existing carpeting, hauled it away and installed ~1000sq ft of engineered wood on the 2nd floor of our home including a staircase. Good Guys knew exactly what to do and worked extremely efficiently. They completed the job a day earlier than promised and left the worksite and floor clean - which was so appreciated. Before the crew started they asked if we had a preference for what direction wood planks were laid and whether or not the qtr round should match the color of the planks or be white like the baseboards. They were very thoughtful to ask our preferences throughout and not assume any details. We love the new wood floors! They look fantastic and we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Good Guys for any type wood floor installation. They are cost competitive and the quality overall of their work is excellent.

The owner and Joey Were fantastic to work with. Had wood laminate flooring installed in a master bedroom and everything went smoothly. They are easy to work with and professional. Joey was always on time and very understanding. I will call on them again.

Joey Sims and crew did a fantastic job fixing and then renovating ouraster bath. The crew completed the job on time, left our bathroom very clean at the end of the day, and were professional, courteous, and artists at their trade. Joey was an awesome point of contact and handled all of the issues discovered along the way like the expert and gentleman he is!

I paid this company to level my concrete and then lay wood floors. They did a bad job with the leveling and tried to continue to the stain phase without fixing their work. The salesman was apologetically impertinent. He treated me with more rudeness than almost anyone I have worked with before. Leveling the floors was quite the ordeal because there was no management present to review or oversee the flooring installation at any stage. My husband had to outline the humps and valleys over and over and and manage the installers himself. Now that the floors are done with wood filler showing in multiple spots, I got a bill for their labor to fix their own poor leveling job. DO NOT use this company. Dont let the name fool you, they have no integrity.Update: Goodguy flooring did not return my phone calls to address this matter and my floors do not look beautiful as you can see in the photos. They are splotchy and inconsistent.

Edd Cook did an incredible job for DryForce. Rosemary M. and her family loved the site finish. When we arrived at the first walk, the hardwood floors had been damaged by a water loss. The job was completed in a timely manner and the new hardwood flooring looked wonderful. The homeowner was very pleased with the outcome and the way in which her home looked better than before the water loss happened. Good Guy Flooring is my preferred flooring company in the DFW area and Edd Cook is one of my favourite people to work with. At all times, he puts the customer first by responding urgently to questions and concerns. In the world of reconstruction, our customers define the success of our businesses. Edd Cook and Good Guy Flooring take customer service and satisfaction seriously. I couldn’t recommend y’all more.
