This for second time we have visited. Last time we went for brunch and this time we went for dinner. One thing is sure they have a great brunch but not a good option for dinner. We generally like the American buffet and last we enjoyed a lot but this time we had our hopes high and unfortunately we didnt like it much. Pizzas were cold, fried chicken was okay but not great although we do liked the shrimp popcorn and onion rings. Fish strips were also not good as they were last time.We only like banana pudding and its flavour although the pudding was melted and looks like a banana milk shake. Cheesecakes were okay. Coconut macrons were amazing.The server who attended us, I dont remember her name, was really cheerful and always asked us if we need something after regular interval of time. Shes really great..👍👍

There are healthy options. They dont always have the freshest things out though. But Im sure theyre being cost effective. Rolls are fresh. Fish was seasoned perfectly. Steak was good. Soup was salty. Price for dinner 2 adults 1 child ended up being $40.00.

Its rare when any buffet style restaurant actually has good food. This one is no exception. I had 2 plates. The first with an onion ring, yeast roll, beans, corn and pulled pork. The onion ring breading was chewy not crunchy and crispy. The corn was over cooked and mushy, the beans were under cooked and hard to chew, and the pork was very fatty. The roll was ok. 2nd plate. The deviled eggs had apparently been sitting out long enough for the yolk to harden, but surprisingly the fried chicken drumsticks and potatoes and gravy were actually pretty good and tasty. One staff member was very attentive and refilled our drinks and took our plates. If not for the staff member and the chicken and potatoes Id have given it 1 star on the food alone.

The service was very good, but this location needs s lot of work. First, why are the onions, green peppers and tomatoes cut so large on the salad bar? They should be diced not sliced. The grill looked like it was not cleaned for days, the steak my husband was served was charred on the outside and pink inside thats not well done. There was no one at the grill or cutting the meat. I saw a lady standing there for several minutes waiting to get some ham. My husband didnt eat anything after the steak was undercooked so we wasted $33. The womens bathroom was disgusting, I did not want my toddler to use it and was scared to change my newborn on the changer because it was so badly maintained. There were roaches on the floor, and there was dirty paper towels everywhere. I wont be going back.I appreciate your response GC, but the link did not work.

For golden corral, this is prettyrun of the mill. A bit below average, this particular location has been here for years and truly has no excuse-er, reason.. to lack basic customer service and cleanliness skills and standards.Or, err..-, maybe thats the exact reason this place hasnt gone anywhere in years, for better or for worse, they seem to be sitting in a stagnant stalemate.YOU are better off passing this one up as km sure it will br pushed out now that more modern storefronts are popping up.

I have never been to such a horrible place in my entire life 💔. It smelled like urin, no air conditioning, most of the food was not fresh. OMG the salad bar whillted and warm. Only plastic gloves and no masks required at food bars. Will not be going back!! I give it a -10 stars.

Used a coupon, food is still good. There are Covid 19 precautions... wear your mask to enter and serve yourself, use provided plastic gloves to handle the serving spoons, etc. at the buffet bars, tables are 6 to 8 feet apart. We enjoyed our visit.

Stay away...AC is obviously out which was not divulged before purchasing the meals for my family. The only offering for the meat station was sausage and due to the warmth of the restaurant cold items where not so much. The only bright spot was our waiter who tried to do his best in full work regalia while sweating profusely.

This particular locations food was awful!! It seemed as if there was just one man working, because the same man rang in our party of 7, and then was grilling steaks (never any available), cutting lettuce (since there was none!) & the food that was available, had been there all day; and thats exactly what it tasted like! Wasnt fit for a hog! Very disappointed, especially the restaurants location. NEVER had it this bad at any other location. Myself and the rest of our party, will never be back at this location. If youre not prepared to serve, then dont open! Absolutely horrible!

This restaurant definitely needs to be rescued. The meat tasted spoiled. Also all the food looked like it hadn’t been taken care of. The restroom doors were left open so that in itself made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be visiting this establishment again, in fact this location has made me turn away from all Golden Corrals.

Since the moment we paid the lady when walking in, she just walked away and didnt seat us anywhere or give us plates or nothing. There was not cutlery or plates to be seen either. We waited for 5 mins until one of the managers got the attention of the lady and told her to help us. Not a ton of food options honestly. The AC being broken was the worst part about it. Its Summer and youre cooking inside the restaurant, I felt so suffocated and Im sure other customers did too. The waitress was really nice to us and did good. Not sure I will come back.

Worst experience ever. Went with my husband, army veteran. While they told us there was nothing going on for Veterans Day they let the guy behind us with a “semper fi” hat get a free dinner. Sad sad.Well, we were told by a woman with tattoos all over that our drinks and silverware are at the table and then she left to sit down to eat her food. We had no idea where to go, no cups or silverware on any table. All while the waitress is sitting there, eating her food and watching us.Finally a nice, Hispanic lady assisted us. Worst experience. Never again. The food is dry, disgusting, discolored, either under or over cooked and the restaurant is filthy.

We enjoy hanging out. Last night we found this fine place which friends recommended to us. We had a delightful evening there with delicious dishes and a well-trained team and a professional chef. We put this venue in our phone list and we will certainly go again very soon. We highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in The Colony. They have several delicious entrees each day and about every vegetable you could want. And I must mention their dessert bar with a chocolate tower. They have pies, cakes, pudding and a soft iceCream machine. I think I put on 5 #s every time I eat there. And their prices are very reasonable. Seconds anyone?

There weren’t very many food options for vegetarians or people who don’t eat red meat. The salad bar was disgusting, almost every piece of lettuce I tried to get was limp and the garbanzo beans were slimy. I only came here because I remembered coming with family when I was a kid... I could’ve just left it at that. The staff as very polite though!

Our first time here, buffet has a little of everything from soups, salads, steaks, fish, shrimp, desserts and more! but most importantly we had wonderful customer service by two special ladies Mary & Juanita. These two ladies really treated us like kings & queens. Thank you! We definitely will be back because of these two fabulous waitresses. 👍💯

I havent been to a Golden Corral in a long time but my daughter wanted to go for her birthday. The salad bar was great, and the veggies I had, zucchini, cooked carrots and brussel sprouts were awesome!To top it off however, our server, Roy, made sure that my daughter had a great birthday. He personally decorated two cupcakes for her with all sorts of fun candy from the dessert bar. Not only that, but every time we turned around our plates were cleared and drinks were refilled. You dont find that type of service, with a smile and great attitude, very often.

The food was burnt, and the dessert was horrible. The staff were more interested in being on their phone. The worst golden corral I have ever been to.

During these trying times, not only was the food good. They have many precautions in place to make sure you have a good experience and you stay safe what more can you ask for.

Good place, BUT.... they recently raised dinner to just over $18, from $14. However, every other golden coral is still $14. I asked and they said they added nothing more or special. They just thought they were worth more than the others. They re the same. So sad....

I have always had great service and good food. Found out you can order holiday dinners to go. Never knew that. Thanksgiving, people were picking up turkey dinners. Awesome price of $79.99 for a huge meal. They were busy but they took the time to explain to me about what was included in the meals. 10 pounds of slice turkey looked amazing! All the sides and desserts came with it.

Havent visited Golden Corral in a long time, and the reason I enjoy Golden Corral is because of the variety of food and plenty of greens in the salad bar. On this day, I truly enjoyed the rib eye steaks and who could turn down the fresh baked bread rolls? My family and I were taken care by a young man who was very friendly and eager to serve. However, at one point during our dining experience a young girl who was with her family decided to go around and eating off the different foods at the buffet bar using the spoons and tonges and leaving them there. I took action and alerted the waiter and the manager who was a bit slow responding. We showed him the containers and spoons the girl had used. And soon those containers were taken off the buffet line. There was a time when there would be people(workers) behind the food bars and or signs letting parents know to not allow their unattended children to the buffet line. But given the times we now live in, people are afraid to say anything, concerned that they will be called intolerant, whatever name or slur they choose to use or even threatening to sue the restaurant. For this reason I give this Golden Corral a three star.

First the place siad it opens at 10 i understand new hours we sat outside till 10:15 no one opened the door. The place only had 2 customers they need to close their doors

Came here w family for dinner, and everyone from grandma to kids enjoyed it. Do yourself a favor and eat the fried chicken here! It was surprisingly good for this type of place. Plenty of choices, with a pretty good salad bar, meat cutting station, and dessert bar. Weekends they have prime rib and a grilling station too.Cleanliness is about average for a buffet, but service was good. They cleared plates and refilled drinks regularly for us. Big parking lot, easy location right off 121.

This was such a disappointment. The food was terrible, why charge $18 for inedible food. I would not recommend. You’re better off at Cicis for $5.

When we came in around 6pm on Thursday night, spent over $70. The foods supposed fresh and full. But there weren’t many selections. The foods was dried, the steaks were tasted salty, some empty and don’t even fill. Also we couldn’t come to the lighthouse Bay section all the way to the bathroom side because it was SMELL DISGUSTING . It was our son birthday and he was So disappointed. This place is going very down. If I could, I would give them 0 ( zero) star.

From the entry to this restaurant the experience was horrible. We weren’t greeted the individual at the front only ask if we wanted something to drink. She later tried to be nice after I politely spoke to her first. The food is horrible and labeled incorrectly. Our waitress was very nice but she’s very old and tired and I didn’t feel right asking her for anything. The restroom were a complete mess and smelled horrible. I will never attend this restaurant again. I only gave two stars because the waitress was sweet. THIS RESTAURANT IS A DISASTER AND FILTHY!!!!!!

Im not a real fan of Golden Corral but I will say this was a decent location. I gave 3 stars for the great customer service. I couldnt give 5 because I dont like the food however my group ate well. With that said, it may be worth the visit.

Nice and quiet when I went at 4pm. Lots of good food. A few items werent fully cooked, but it a buffet. Thats to be expected in my opinion.

Usually we love coming in here. Its a nice way for everyone to get what they want without having to stop at multiple places. Kid loves this place cause they can pick and choose what to eat. The food this time was not the greatest. Raw potatoes, under seasoned sweet potatoes, burnt pizza. Im thinking its because it was a busy Saturday. On the plus side, our server was super nice and really tried to make the best of it.

My husband and I took the Grandkids,they had a blast! They loved the chocolate fountain ,I loved the variety available,we have some picky eaters! Roy was amazing,kept our glasses full. All in all,well be back!😁

This location has a small selection of food items. Food isnt fresh, dried out or out of stock. Had to wait for several items to be put back out. Quality of food was not the best. Not as clean as it needs to be. Bathrooms were unkept and smelled like sewer. Nauseating to say the least. We will Not be returning to this location.

This Location.....This was by far the BEST Golden coral that Ive visited. In all honesty, I dont do buffets. Its that simple. However, a friend of mine was hosting a home buyer event there and I went for not only support, but for the knowledge. I was greeted at the door and smelled the warmth of my favorite, French Toast, hit my nose. I immediately grabbed a plate and dug in to Southern Style grits, hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, etc. There was a wide array of dishes to choose from. I was also greeted by wait staff who ensured that my coffee cup stayed full.Although some buffets have salty, greasy foods, I have absolutely no complaints about this one. They were awesome!

For the price I paid i think it should have been more clean. Both restroom and restaurant.

I was less than impressed with this particular Golden Corral, even taking my usual low expectations of GC into consideration. The chicken, fish, turkey, and ham all looked dried and barely considered edible. One of the guys cooking steaks thought that a steak that was purple inside was medium when in fact it hadnt even thawed enough to bleed yet. The only redeeming factor was the general cleanliness of the facility minus the blatant cross contamination issues. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Would not recommend coming to this particular location except to someone I disliked.

I think they need to work on the cleanliness of the silverware. Also , separate the pork BBQ from Beef BBQ .Deserts werent very fresh either.I asked multiple people which gravy has sausage they didnt know and some of them claimed both has sausage which I am allergic to . I ended up giving up on even the gravy . As Sundays are busy they have to account for that so clients dont have to wait for items like shrimp for a while to be available .

Food is very good, but why did they remove the pizza stand? Now we have to ask them to make a pizza that tastes ok. Also while I was there, there was a fire alarm that was pulled and was never reset. The alarms didn’t go off either.

We had an excellent time at this spot. We liked the extraordinary atmosphere and the meals. The staff were super welcoming. I’m happy we eventually managed to visit this restaurant.

Sad day.. Visited this location with hopes it was just as good as the location on 75 but nope. This location is disgusting and doesnt know what cross contamination is which is horribly concerning. Had a salad and realized that the spinach was bad and discolored. Immediately approached the manager with my concerns and was told no compensation would be made for the inconvenience as I already ate some. Lol! Maybe this explains why so many locations are closing as they only see money, not customers. Good luck golden corral. I wont be back and Ill have to dispute the charges for now.

Dont care strange smell upon entering or the restrooms need upgrading desperately...older building. Friendly staff. Alot of variety of course its a buffet. Family atmosphere. Reasonably priced for lunch. Enjoyed salad and veggies. Plenty of meat and dessert options.

Don’t waste your money. I’m not typically one to leave reviews but the food was so bad I feel I should warn others. Barely edible, everything was over cooked and had been sitting out a long time—and this was at 6:30 pm. Food serving area mostly unattended with used sticks from the chocolate fountain laying on the dessert area, kids unattended by parents and handling bowls and serve ware then putting it back on the serving tables. I alerted the staff about it twice and they ignored it so I took the items away myself so no one would get sick—cold and flu season around the corner. You can eat a LOT better somewhere else for what they’re charging. Go to the Texas Roadhouse on the same campus!

Its was ok. The steak cooker needs to learn how to cook Medium, Medium well, and other forms of levels of steak. It was either well well done or RARE steak.Always out of fried chicken, and chicken soup was very dry. They have nice hard working waitresses though.

They have a pretty wide selection of food on the buffet. They have a chocolate fountain (cant be sanitary) and lots of different things to dip into it. Ie. Cake pieces, strawberries, etc. The grill selection is what I really like. I can get a made to order steak of decent quality and it makes this a bargain for us. Great salad bar selection & you can fully load your baked potato on the potato bar.

Our waiter was nice and always on point when we needed him. The food was delicious and the dessert was good cheesecake couldve been a little better. Overall the best GC Ive been to since Ive moved her.

A little pricey for dinner but good food and good selection. I traveled over 40 minutes with my kids in traffic to get to this location, because sadly the Grapevine location closed, to find that I barely missed the lunch hour. NO empathy when I explained my situation, but I guess thats business. Still a good place to go from time to time.

I went here with my mother about a year ago and it was the last time that Ive been there. Not because of the food but because that was one of the last times that I went out to eat with my mother before she passed away and I cant bear to go back because she loved going to the Golden Corral. She lived in a nursing home and they didnt treat her well the last couple of years so she enjoyed getting out of there as often as possible and when she did she loved to go out to eat, especially if it was a buffet so she could pick out anything she wanted. I miss her so much. She passed away November 9th 2018 I love you Mom.

Whenever I have an unusually big appetite and have a group of friends who cannot decide on a restaurant, I will literally drive out of my way to eat at this specific location because there is a WONDERFUL WAITRESS THERE NAMED “MARY.” She is the kindest, most attentive, helpful, customer-centric, quick, efficient, and welcoming waitress anyone could ask for! The food is yummy and their salads are always fresh. And, they do a great job with keeping their wide-array of buffet dishes well-stocked with delicious home style cooking. The only thing I would ask that they improve is the efficiency and speed at which their cashier system/get your drinks system at the front of the restaurant operates. They need to post two or more people at the front check-in/cashier entrance when lines are long. Otherwise, I personally think they should move the drinks to the inside of the restaurant if they are going to keep just one cashier/drink filler at the front. Other than that, it’s a yummy meal with a great variety of main dishes, sides, lots of choices for the kiddos, and desserts that hit the spot! Thank you, Mary!! You’re amazing!😊😊😊

Love their salad bar. On the night we went they had blue cheese sprinkles and artichoke hearts plus lots of other selections. The honeydew melon was really sweet. I didnt try their soups but they looked good. Baked ham, baked potatoes, cat fish fillets (moist and perfectly fried), lots of vegetables to choose, my husband enjoyed the sirloin steak, and we both enjoyed picking from a wide selection of desserts. Biggest problem was trying not to overeat when there is no limit to the good food and unlimited number of trips to the buffets... Atmosphere its casual. Waitress was attentive, but not pushy or hovering...

Wide variety of meats and vegetables which were well cooked for the most part. I was sad that they had no pecan pie which to me was a must have for Thanksgiving fare. The rest of their desserts were rather blah. Good thing: I wasnt tempted to blow my diet by pigging out at the dessert bar. LOL

The food is consistently fresh and tasty, workers hands over good customer service. I love how neat it is and ambience. Highly recommended.

Food on Buffet even when put out fresh whats dry and overcooked. Kids were allowed to double dip into the Chocolate fountain while four employees stood by and watched. Not that the food wasnt already contaminated by then but I stopped the kids from doing any more damage. Im sure the employees were very thankful that I stepped up and did something. The only thing I can say good about this experience was our waitress was one of the sweetest ladies!

I came into this location, as I always do. Staff is always nice and helpful. I always tip the waitresses $5-20, depending on how nice they are and how charitable I’m feeling.Had an APP REWARDS $5 off coupon. The cashier did not honor it, and then stole $20 (cash) from me. I jussssst left the ATM and had gotten $60 out for here and a couple other items I need to buy w/ cash.My hands were full - water and wallet, so I scooted her the three 20’s that were together and folded. New bills from the ATM.SHE did not take off $5, and she kept a 20 for herself. And lied about stealing it. The staff is ALWAYS great here. Not tonight. This new chick is a THIEF!! Esmeralda is her name.Soleda is the manager. And she did nothing about this. Did REFUND my check and I left.I want my $20 back and when I return to this location, I NEVER WISH TO SEE THE MANAGER OR That new cashier again!Calling the police too. Out of principle. I have a police report number when GOLDEN CORRAL (Corp office) decides to contact me. I did press charges as well, since she lied about the bills being FOLDED, to the Officer and not returning my cash. I make good money - I am not worried about $20, but I am doing this out of PRINCIPLE. She’s a thief and a liar.Thank you

Its okay but not as good as they used to be! Weve visited many Golden Corral, and we dont have a fave. We come here to redeem my sons gift certificates he gets for perfect attendance bout 3 times a year. Thats all. He loves the chocolate fountain, pizza, Mac and cheese and fried chicken. I love their salads, rotisserie chicken, broccoli and cheese.

Its Golden Corral,..If your looking for 3 star Michelin chef prepared food, you are in the wrong place! Its good basic food, for a reasonable price, slapped in an all you can eat buffet. About as American as it gets! The breakfast is worthy of a gold medal!

The food was fresh hot & tasted wonderful. They kept that buffet full of GOODNESS & HOT rolls w/ butter on the table. Waitress was excellent in keeping the table cleaned & nice cold drinks. We left her a tip...LOVED IT

Great place to get some healthy vegetables. Food is good. Try not to overeat though. Tempting to do so. Table service not bad unless the place gets too overcrowded. Sometimes different cashiers charge differently. Is the unsweet tea considered a fountain drink or not? . Count your change if paying cash. Some cashiers dont count the change out to you and may make a mistake. As the old timers used to say Eat your greens...!

Horrible choice of stale food. Have to dig through stack of dirty plates with gravy and food on it. It is hilarious that the cook refused to serve steak to the customer and kept saying it is not ready when in reality the steak is super rubbery for being way overcooked. I was given half of a small piece of steak and was told that the remaining half (2oz) has to be shared with the next customer. 😂 The restaurant is super slow during dinner time with less than 10 customers and they keep still cant keep up with the food. WARNING: DO NOT COME HERE.

Food was fresh & delicious. We did a last minute reservation of 50 people. Everything was ready as soon as we got there so we didnt have to wait. The staff was super nice & made sure our dinner was pleasant also they made sure to stay close by to tend to our every need.

I love golden corral breakfast but the strawberry at the chocolate foundation were kinda old looking? The multiple times of gone its only been about twice though so like its not a big deal but everyone is nice its clean and the breakfast is really good!

The steak cooks dont know how to cook. You can tell that the food they have is bought in bulk from a food supply company. The deserts are nasty. The ice cream isnt ice cream it taste like iced milk. The worst desert is the so called brownnies. And the food has been sitting so long its past cooked. From sitting on the heat table so long.
