My son needed help with reconnecting a cable to his battery that powers his car sound system. He was treated incredibly rudely by the guy, who was short tempered with him and completely unhelpful. He quoted my son $200-300 just to troubleshoot the problem (all he needs is the cable reconnected!!) and he said it would take 3 hrs. A job which is could take a few seconds.

Had a head unit and back up cam installed on my truck in Huntington Beach called HB Auto Sound several months ago. The camera went out and the shop refused to fix or replace it even though it was under warranty and tried to screw me by selling me another camera (which they marked up 150%) and charging me again for labor. Took it in to Cali Car Stereo and spoke with Sam. Not only did he fix the poor wiring job for the back up cam done by HB Auto Sound, but he also came up with a way to work with the situation I was in and get another back up can put on my trailer that integrated with my current head unit and also allows me to quickly switch back and forth from truck back up cam to trailer back up cam. Companies who value their customers seem rare these days and these guys went above and beyond to get me dialed in. Much appreciated guys.

I was very pleased with the work that Cali Car Stereo did on my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. I had them upgrade my stock radio with an Alpine Halo 11 screen and they did a very professional job with the installation. I also had them install a rear camera and that came out better than I expected. Sam and the crew were very professional and I felt very comfortable having them do the work on my Suburban. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to upgrade their car audio systems.

Called to get a quote on parts and install for my car. It has a existing sub (factory) and I want to replace factory sub with equivalent size and have new amp installed. Was told this is impossible and they could not do that. Seriously? A car audio shop can’t replace a factory sub and put it in the same place? The sub is in my trunk already from factory. Very strange.

Excellent service! Walked-in and told them what I wanted and they recommended a great head unit and amp. All the parts needed to install were stocked in-store including the face plate that fit my car. I was able to set an appointment for the next day and they were able to complete the work before the promised time. All-in-all, it took less than 24 hours from walk-in to job was completion, and considering that it entailed complicated wiring and replacing the installed amp, this is an amazing feat! I am now enjoying my great sounding system, thanks to the great people at Cali Stereo.

***PSA*** STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOPBe very careful going to this shop, they have no regard for your personal possessions (vehicle included). I went there to replace the factory speakers with something better. While I was waiting they professionally recommenced that I get bigger speakers for better sound quality. They did say that they had to make a small modification to the door (no more detail was given as to what kind) and that was my mistake for not asking to what extent of modification, i just agreed. After being quoted a 2 hour install, I left 8 hours later with my door panels scratched up, missing parts, broken fasteners, auto motive glue all over my seats, the trunk panels not placed back properly and my coat trampled on then placed back in my trunk... later to discover a hack job of a custom install and a terrible job of wiring. (The pictures speak for themselves, this is for both driver and passenger door).These people will do anything to get the job done, smack on the door panel and call it a professional job as long as it is not noticeable.i confronted them about the job done, I asked why the fasteners were broken and not replaced, the mechanics response was well the car is old.... They used the wrong size ground/power wire for the application with a fuse rated for something 2x thicker (this causes over-heating of the wire). They tucked about 2.5 feet of extra wiring under the carpet, used wood screws for the speakers and amp mounting (only 3 screws per item for a 4 point connection), did not cut and connect wires properly, used an over sized fuse holder (so the fuse was loose in the holder and eventually blew), and did not properly ground the ground cable.I talked to the shop manager Sam who told me to get it fixed and they would pay for it but when I came back with quotes from different shops he refused to accept responsibility for it. I asked that he pick the shops for the quotes, he refused to pick the repair shops for the quotes and had his secretary argue for him ( this is the lady who eventually showed up in court and lied about being the shop manager and lied under oath about almost everything).I took them to court because they refused to take responsibility of their work and the damage they caused to my vehicle. They lied under oath about what happened, what was discussed (between myself and Sam) and how things turned out. needless to say the case got ruled in favor of them because the functionality of the car was not impaired. The judge did not take into consideration the damage sustained to the vehicle and called it a classic case of getting what you bargained for.They have really cheap prices so they attract people in that manner... if you have had work done to your vehicle please look over the work done and make sure what happened to me does not happen to you.--They will argue that I personally requested the bigger speakers - i did not, it was Sams professional recommendation to upgrade.--They will say that they took me to inspect the vehicle multiple time during the install - they did not, it was only once after they took apart the door before anything else was done.--They will say that I left very happy - I did not, i actually complained as soon as i was looking over the vehicle, then after i paid and was driving away i noticed the automotive glue all over the passenger seat.--They will say i harassed them - i did not, i called and asked if they had insurance if anything happens to a vehicle they had work on, which they said they did...i believe this is a lie--They will argue that the car was not damaged because the door works as it should - the door works but damage is more that just that, there are different types of damage.--They will say that i am trying to restore my vehicle and thats why i complained to replace the doors - not true, my vehicle is a very nice miata in great condition there is nothing to restore on this vehicle except for the damage they caused.--They will say that this is not their work - Lie, it is what they did as a professional stereo shop.

I called i asked for a viper horn alarm the person who answers the phone says oh i got that on sale it wasnt what i wanted he lied to me i took my car back he said we put your alarm on sensitive so the alarm doesnt continue to go off ..well he put the same alarm in my car that i already had he just took advantage of a saleThe sad part about Sam he sold me the manufacturer alarm that my car came with from.the dealer I explained my situation to him ..I needed a talking alarm.or one to go off when someone touched it no thats not what I got when I took it back Im like Sam look touch my car no alarm ..one excuse after another I touched the back of my car of hit it no sound hes like oh the back half wasnt covered....so for you singles moms like myself who trusted a man with your car becareful some people just dont care

I recently took my motorcycle to Cali Car Stereo to get my stereo looked at as the sound kept cutting in and out on me at high volume, even tho the previous shop did a great job I had to get a second opinion cause it kept happening to me and I was getting frustrated, Cali was able to find the problem, they rewired everything for me, I was afraid I was going to lose some of the knock from my subs but that is far from the case, they made my highs higher without compromising the bump from the subs, I would highly recommend going to Cali to get any of your car or motorcycle stereo installation done, they are the real deal, Sam and my man who rewired everything, I AM EXTREMELY OVERWHELMED WITH JOY ON THE OUTCOME! I had been driving around with no sound in my car for weeks because I was scared of being charged an arm and a leg to get my speakers fixed, I looked on Google and found Cali car stereo when I went in to get an appraisal Sam was 100% UPFRONT AND HONEST with me. From the beginning he let me know what problems his team could run into trying to fix the failed at home speaker install I did with my dad... and told me if my amplifier did not work then it would need to be replaced. I am a skeptical person and worried they might try to have me replace the amplifier even if it didnt need to be however I felt very good about the interaction with Sam and I trusted them to take my car back. Boy am I happy I did that because when I picked up my car the speakers sounded amazing! They ended up cleaning up all the wiring for me and regrounding the amp to make everything safe, moved the amp off the sub, just COMPLETELY exceeded my expectations, as well as charging me less than originally quoted because they were able to salvage materials for me:) Will be recommending to everyone I know for car audio, Very pleased, Thank you again to Sam and your amazing team!!!

I chose Cali Car Stereo for the professionalism and high quality work. I wanted to insure that I had the best people working on my Mustang GT. After discussing with Sam that my phone system no longer functioned he offered me more than one solution. I did settle on the higher end apple car play and I am not one bit dissatisfied. There were a couple hiccups that Sam and his team encountered which caused them to work an hour after they closed to fix the problem. At the end of the day he didn’t up charge any of the extra work and kept his promises on getting my phone fully functional through my car. I don’t leave reviews often but when I do it is because the business went beyond my expectations. Honestly don’t listen to any of the very few bad reviews. These guys rock and I will definitely recommend these guys!

Sam was super nice and took my car in last minute 2 hours before they closed. Also, the car was done super fast. This is the only place you should go to. Got my speakers installed at advanced car audio. They wired everything incorrectly which caused 2 channels on my amp to blow out. Cali Car took great care of me, rewired everything and secured the speakers that were out of place. Very reasonably priced. Won’t be going anywhere else ever again. Going back soon to get a sub installed.

Cali Stereo worked on my Fiat. The radio was completely broken. They installed a brand new touchscreen radio with Apple Car Play, Bluetooth and the fixed the radio stereo wheel control. I had a problem with one of my speakers in my truck, probably a loose wire, so I called Sam to see if he could take a look at it. He said he could, quoted me a price of $75, so I made an appointment. After driving from Hemet to get to my appointment, I met Sam, I again told him the problem.He said he could take a look, but now the price had jumped to $250!!!!!! I was a little upset at the more than 300% price increase from the original quote, so I left. I went around the corner to Audio Evolution. JR gave me a price, fixed the problem, and then only charged me half of Sams original quote!!! When you mess with peoples money, you lose business. Cali Car Stereo will NEVER get my business, Audio Evolution ad JR WILL!!!!

My radio has been out for a over a year so I went to the Audi dealership And they told me they could not do anything for me however they referred me to Cali car stereo so I came in and spoke to Sam. They were able to install a CarPlay radio same day and five channel amplifier. I understand now why I was referred to them right away, everywhere I looked online and called there was no options for my vehicle however when I came in they told me it was not a problem and now it sounds a lot better and its compatible with my phone. Went in for a speaker upgrade on my 2013 Toyota Corolla. Best Buy is rather expensive and has a very long wait time for appointments. Also, their selection is limited. I had my car done at another shop originally and I had a lot of problems with distortion and the sound cutting out past 40% volume. Just had the system redone today and it sounds amazing.
