Huge warehouse with so much stuff its hard to find what you came for!But for a restaurant I can understand the appeal...everything from FRESH fish, scallops,oysters etc to frozen entrées ready for the microwave! Fresh and frozen veggies! All manner of premium knives and other kitchen essentials including aprons, chef hats and pants and shirts. Theres even cleaning supplies, spices, cake mixes, fresh and frozen juices, bar mixers...They were out of the only 2 things we needed for a church kitchen and customer service was lax.We had to come back next day to get what we needed.Membership only to enter.

I came in a few times last week and there was a new girl, Christine I think, in produce. She was amazing. I was sad to not see her there Friday. She stops what she is doing to help me figure out prices and location of products. Even with her lack of full knowledge she would not only find the right person to help me but follow us to learn for herself. The produce wall with the smaller quantity items was always stocked when she was working, not like some weeks prior. I love Restaurant Depot. They always leave me satisfied. Great staff and wonderful prices.

Its nice coming here right when they open @ 7am. After that it becomes pretty busy. The staff are great especially when I need help reaching items that are too high and/or heavy.

Restaurant Depot is awesome for all food needs and food preparing related stuff the prices are as good as it gets theyve got an awesome meat selection and dessert selections and the only thing that makes it tough is you got to have a tax ID number cuz they dont charge taxes there. Dont recommend going warnings cuz it can be very crowded and take a long time to get through the line best time is after lunch before 5:00

A business to serve business’s! Restaurant Depot is truly amazing just from the sheer selection of product offered. Not just food stuffs, but pretty much anything you need to run a restaurant.We have only shopped here twice since obtaining membership. It takes some getting used to, you have to look at the product, there is so much.Both trips were successful, we bought a large quantity of product and it is of good quality.I will say, watch where you are going. The store is busy and at times chaotic..Restaurant Depot has become a large vendor in our business. So glad we found it.

I visited this store today because I had an instacart order. Upon entering I was not greeted then as I was shopping everything seemed out of place. It was very difficult to find the items I needed. The employees were just looked at me struggling and did not attempt to ask me if I needed help finding a product. When I finally asked an employee about a product they could not help me. They do not have any sense of customer service. The customer service was 1/10 and the organization of the store is not good. I do not recommend visiting Restaurant Depot to ANYONE. My first experience today was horrible.

Backing is a nightmare. If you pull up too far, you are alligator food. There is a canal right in front of the docks, and lemme tell you...its closer than it looks.

Attempting to check out of this place is an absolute nightmare. It doesn’t matter if you get there at 7 AM right when they open or if you go in the afternoon, they will have maybe one or two cashiers at most and customers will be backed up 5 to 6 per line and literally management doesn’t care. They used to have a banner hanging up top that said if more than three customers are in a line they would open another register, that has been since removed and now I know why. Some of you may read this and ask, why would I still shop here? The reason is because they are the only outlet in Tampa that carries some of the products that I crucially need for my restaurant. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My first experience. Most of the staff was friendly. All were willing to assist. Only purchased a few items. Since there was no ten items or less line i stood in a line of three people ahead of myself. However the scanner gun wasnt working properly or price check was call for and people had broken open cases they werent supposed to. Finally made it out after changing lanes and then someone let me go ahead of them. Hope my next visit is better.

I have always had bad experience with Restarant Depot here in Tampa. The prices are very high and the Management is very Rude.I tried to get purchase history for my Restaurant it took couple of weeks and to no avail. If there is less than one star I would gone them.Most purveyors here in Tampa likeSanwa Asian marketSouth East food supply they were cordial and gave me the purchase history. But not the Restaurant Depot. For two weeks they give me the run around.

Do not buy seafood here Ive purchased a whole snapper and when i got home that fish was very Old and smells really bad when i called them and ask if i can return the fish it took them over 20 min to figure it out and when i return it the next day the manager wasnt happy about it i felt like it was my fault . I will never go back there

They seem understaffed for a store that experiences high volume on a regular basis. The one in Sarasota is better staffed and not as busy

This is a place for restaurant and larger bulk items. Anyone who approaches this store as anything like a Costco or Sams club is misguided. There selection and range of products is very good, and staff is very helpful but busy so having someone available to do everything you want exactly when you need is tough especially during heavy business hours. That said, Ive never had a bad experience and come here often to buy supplies to cater for the crews and events that we host. Really good resource.Only criticism I would give is I wish they would carry the old Lump Charcoal brands they used to. Now they only offer Royal Oak in 18lb bags which is not what a restaurant size quantity. That said, I can live with that, but it was nice when available.

Pay attention to the staff inside, the story is wrong after checking the goods. If I dont confirm the price today, they will overcharge me $500 today.

I am rating based on the phone interactions myself and my mother had only. We are not located in Tampa, and are trying to find a meat market in order to buy for our family. During this pandemic, no one wants to leave their home uncertain of whether or not a store will have what they need, or how much their items will actually cost. Naturally, we called because we wanted to be sure the meat would be in our budget prior to making the drive down to Tampa. The woman who answered wasnt rude per se, but she was absolutely not interested in providing good customer service. I understand that the policy is not to disclose prices over the phone to non-members, but you cant even become a member without setting foot in their store. Im not putting my family at risk by traveling down there only to find out that the prices and selection arent what I expect.Please, understand that human interaction often involves empathy & understanding. I will be taking my business elsewhere- not that your company cares.

Only go here for the range of products,the customer service here is so bad and unorganized. I needed 1/2 a pallet of soybean oil loaded on to my van and waited a good 20-30 minutes for them to load it and no one showed up. I had butters and cheese in the van already So I just loaded the oils in the van and got a refund for the pallet. Right when I went to get the refund the manager told me “ don’t worry let me get someone to help you with that”. Like bro I just finished and now you wanna help, I just told her that I waited too long and didn’t need help.

Price to the restaurants, caterers, and food truck have increased dramatically.This place opened up to the public during the pandemic and started raising prices. Nevertheless we as restaurants, caterers, and food truck have to except the price hike. It is amazing how Wal-Mart still sale certain meat products for the same price. And a company as big as Restaurant Depot could have absorbed some of the cost to help the small patrons. We just can not turn these price points over to our customers. There is a great chance we lose that customers.

I recently visited (May 9, 2020), it was the worst experience ever. My name is Hendrick and I was there to purchase shrimp. It was a very bad experience to say the least. I picked up several bags of shrimp and never noticed the price on the bags. When I arrived at the cashier with my eldest brother the cashier said this must be priced wrong, at that point I looked at the price and the bags were marked $2.00 per bag. The manager came and tried to tell me that means pounds. I asked her please dont insult intelligences to avoid an altercation I said Ill just call corporate. This woman told me she doesnt care who the hell I call and so Im here posting my disappointment with the manager , assistant manager. I honestly feel they shouldnt be running this operation because she tried to tell me shes been selling shrimp in a fish bag for three years.

Large selection of products but very unorganized. Went for gator bites. Found one bag and asked an employee if there was more in the back and without hesitation he said no and there actually was more. I ended up buying 4 bags. Long lines at checkout cause only 1 or 2 cashiers were working yet multiple employees were standing around talking. Lady at the front desk seemed to have an attitude and was taking her sweet time even though there was a long line there too. Overall i felt this establishment was very unprofessional. I think this is the first bad review Ive ever left.

PUBLIC, PLEASE DO NOT SHOP @ The Restaurant Depot. IT IS A SCAM ,Went today july 3 2020 thinking it would be cheaper than costco or sams club. Guess how much 1 lb of filet mignon cost $23.69. Thats right $23.69 PER POUND FOR CHOICE NOT EVEN PREMIUM GRADE AND RIBEYE $15.94 PER POUND FOR CHOICE. OH AND ALSO NO RETURNS. Costco and sams club are still the best. NEVER GOING TO RESTAURANT DEPOT AGAIN ,WAS MY FIRST AND LAST VISIT.

Several items that we usually get here are out of stock for quite sometime, or they change it so the cups doesnt fit with the lids, the Tampa location doesnt carry some items that the Kissimmee location does.

Love love doing bulk grocery here (40lbs halal chicken breast for $50!) Produce and grocery items can be quite cheap but come in HUGE packaging, so beware! Go in with a warm jacket cause the walk in fridge is really big and cold. I also take a cooler with me and large plastic bags. I dont like the carts at the store as theyre bulky to manoeuvre; but they are made for professionals who need to stock large boxes. They have free ice packs outside the store, which is great and helpful! You need a business registration to get membership.

I can not believe how horrible this place has gotten. 4 years ago I can honestly say I enjoyed my shopping trips here. Today, it is the one place I dred the most in the world. There is absolutely no management and customer service is nonexistent. They have a banner up at registers claiming a customer service pledge that really only frustrates customers because its a slap in the face. The concept of this store is great but the execution sucks. As a consumer it feels like as long as they see profits then to hell with a happy customer. Technically it is the only one in Tampa so we have no choice but to shop here regardless of treatment. AND THEY DEFINITELY KNOW IT!

Its by membership only. Prices are decent but Ive seen better. Employees are mostly unhelpful and arent really courteous to customers with a few exceptions. Theyre out of stuff every now and then for prolonged periods of time, something not expected of an operation of such a scale. I just wish the employees were more polite. Then this place would be more deserving of a better rating.

The place has gone downhill. Very hard to shop there as the isles are full of flats of stock that are on the floor so you cant get to the stocked items on the shelves. Carts are not sanitary and covered with meat and wing juices. I used to shop there weekly and now I havent been in over 2 months.

What a terrible place. Very few people there speak English ( even management) have actually been told their job isnt customer service, rarely have product. The only good thing I can say are the prices are honestly some of the lowest that you will get.

I would give this 4.8 stars if the staff were more concerned with customer service and not their personal lives. The customer service is lacking with the cashiers and could use some additional training. Low prices and availability are great! I just had an entire transaction without the cashier greeting me, telling me my total, or speaking to me at all.

I come once a week and the check out service appears to be getting worse each visit. The lines are excessively long. One of the registers hasnt printed receipts correctly for weeks and you have to wait for the front receipt check person to go print it. There are price discrepancies where Ive had to go back and get a price sheet posted on the item. Another time I had to go to info desk for same issue because I was charged for a case when I only had one. They would only credit my account (this was not my fault). You need more cash registers open almost every time Im there. The wait is ridiculous at times.

Management here is terrible. The turnover is crazy as a result. New faces every day. One girl went from cashier to supervisor in less than 2 weeks. If this place had better MANAGEMENT they wouldn’t have long wait times on the lines. Their promise of gladly opening another register is complete bs. I really hope they get another competitor soon because they would easily go out of business.

THEE nastiest store Ive ever delivered to. The receiving area reeks of the most god awful putrid smell youve ever smelled. Its a cross between rotting flesh and 1000 full baby diapers. You cant stand in the backroom, where food products are stored, for 5 minutes without swatting a swarm of flies away. Its so bad there are cans of Raid on the receiving desk. They couldnt store enough raid in that backroom to rid all the flies.

Very rude management/staff at this location, not helpful at all. One employee in particular whom works the dry department on the forklift, he should not even be working around people. I would give his customer service skills a 0.
