Can never get a hold of anyone ever. I take medicine for anxiety and depression and to get refills the doctor takes forever to approve. I’m constantly on and off medicine because of that which is worse than me being off it. Finally got a hold of someone and explained never once apologized and said they can’t refill prescription until I make another appointment which I would understand if I could get a hold of my doctor. Couldn’t make the appointment through her so they were going to refer me back to the same answering machine which I said he never answers. Again they don’t apologize. My anxiety is worse than ever because I’m constantly on and off it because of the doctor. Found a doctor elsewhere.

I like the Dr so far here.Therapy its another story! If you are a Medicare patient they only have 1 part time person to fill that need!!! No back up person to fill in on outage days. Ive not had a therapy appt in months! January was the last one, no fault of my own, about 5 cancelled appointments from their end!!!. They switched that 1 Medicare therapist out, now I cant get in to the new therapist, forget the odd reasoning they gave. Ive asked if the new one could call me, to try to get in earlier than months out, but nothing is happening, WTH?The staff that answers the phone can sometimes be snarky. Somehow this establishment saved my phone# from more than 15-20 years ago in another FL county, not been my # for 10 years! That is the # they used to call and cancel the very 1st cancelled appt, YET they send confirmation texts, therapist calls, Dr calls & calling service to confirm appts to my current phone#!!???!! Spent time arguing the fact that they didnt call MY# for 30 minutes, & that person never once checked to see if the # they had was my current #. They insisted emphatically that they did call the proper phone# to inform me of cancellation. Im like honey, people make mistakes dialing all the time, you can not say with 100% certainty that they called my # to inform me, yet the person persisted no fault on the companies part. Hey why did I fill out all those forms with my information...?-And the world wants to know why folks go off the edge, sigh.Begging for help here at Baycare, falling on deaf ears!!!-Tampa lacks enough psychiatrists, especially female ones. Being on the poor end of the spectrum financially makes getting in anywhere about 6X as hard.

Wow!💔 Im going tru online reviews trying to find help for me and my Son wish have been without treatment for a while because I couldnt afford it. These reviews made me more anxious that i currently am. And these situations are all over Tampa I guess because all the places i had looked had so many bad testimonies experiences. This is so sad, I hope this situation changes soon. We need good Mental Health Care in town. I want to know where are the places they talk about on medias because I havent found a place that they have compassion and love for what they do unless you pay it out of pocket or have an expensive health insurance or money point. This is why so many people sadly take things on their hands, kills themselves or self medicate. If anyone knows about a good place I will appreciate the recommendations. And I hope everyone finds the help they need. ❤

Edit: I sure find it funny that they will respond to these reviews faster than they will THEIR PATIENTS WITH MEDICAL CONCERNS.AWFUL. I have never had such a horrible experience with a doctor’s office before. They NEVER pick up their phone. God forbid you ever want to make a follow up appointment, request medical records, or request a prescription refill. Because it won’t happen. It’s absolutely impossible to talk to an actual person here.

Started services in August and requested a psychiatric physician. They placed me with a Nurse Practitioner , a nurse practitioner has same prescribing authorities but goes through different training that’s why they are NPs and not MDs.They placed me with VICTORIA COOK . By far the worst provider I have encountered. She dose not listen to your concerns and the job has clearly became redundant to her retiring or a vacation May do her some good. She once asked me if I had a history of bipolar AFTER I already did the intake interview (did you not read my chart?) .I requested a transfer to a physician and was retaliated against when I needed a short letter confirming my diagnosis for testing accommodation at school seeing that in November I was not successful that term. Her first excuse was that I didn’t tell her in our meetings (how would I know in August what would happen with school in November?I don’t have telekinesis) Her second excuse after that was , I didn’t meet with her enough to have a letter supplied . (I met with her at least 3 times before this request and where is the policy you have to meet with a provider a certain amount of times before getting your diagnosis on paper) She had no valid reason beside her personal resentment toward me because I was not satisfied with her as a provider .it’s listed on the baycare site it’s my responsibility as a patient to inform them if you are no satisfied with the services providedAfter that the manager Jenny and another woman by the name of Adrianna advised if I want any records I would have to come to the office in person (during the pandemic) to sign a release to have my records and that request can take up to 30 daysI have the email chain in writing of all of this.Baycare behavioral health never returns your messages when you need to make a appointment. Additionally when I emailed Victoria asking her for the diagnosis letter I never received a acknowledgment of her receiving the email. (I confirmed the email address was correct) Instead after numerous times of calling the office she delivered a message through someone else stating her first invalid reason of not wanting to provide the letter .I came in for treatment of aneixty related to school and other life factors and bay care just ended up making my life a living hell

I waited 10 months for an appointment after being rescheduled twice. Return phone calls to me or my pharmacy took at 2weeks each time. And I had to make several phone calls the first doctor was good and very compassionate. When a different medication was prescribed, all I could do was sleep. Usually 17-20 hours sometimes more. When I tried to reach the office to advise, I could never get an answer or return call for almost a month so I stop taking the meds. Ended up going through withdrawal so when I realized what was going on, I started taking the meds again, but only half the dosage. When they finally called be back, I was told that the previous doctor was only temporary and was gone. Got a different doctor. Let him know the situation. He told me what he was going to prescribe a d how long it would take to work, (2 weeks) so I was expecting a new medication within that time. I didn’t get. So I called and called. No return call. So ended up without any meds for about a month of suffering. When I finally got another appointment, (which he) had to reschedule twice (still suffering) during this time. When He finally sent over the prescription, the pharmacy couldn’t fill it because they couldn’t understand what the dosage was, so they called and called. I called and called still no response until 2 weeks later. My then I’m still not functional. And a few more weeks for the meds to kick in. And refused to cover my time from work. It seems like it was personal. I said it was due to no fault of my own. Well, that didn’t go over so good at all. So I’m back and forth back and forth with my std insurance coverage they couldn’t approve my claim because the doctor FLAT OUT refused to fill out paperwork and seemed very angry so I’ve been left with no coverage and many many other personal things that has transpired. Made me jump through hoops and beg and plead. Some of the staff felt so bad and tried to help but I guess they did what they could. And that was after calling and calling and calling. Even my std Insurance company couldn’t get a return call until much much later. And oh, he sent over everything except for what I specifically said what I needed. There is no reason for a MENTAL HEALTH DOCTOR TO ADD MORE ANXIETY AND STRESS and DEPRESSION TO SOMEONE WHO’s already suffering so much for so longThere is so much more to this story which I can relay on a different platform though. Still no cooperation at hall. I ended up with more depression and anxiety from the very doctor that was supposed to help but made it much worse. Mentally, emotionally, and financially. Having no compassion. For me, at least. This began the end of AUGUST20 and I didn’t get my medication until 15OCTOBER20. AGAIN DUE TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN. AND I SUFFERED NEEDLESSLY. AND DO WANT TO FOLLOW UP. AND PLEASE DONT RESPOND WITH A GENERIC MESSAGE. nothing about my situation is right especially with all the extra anxiety in the world

They are very poor at returning calls and replying to our pharmacy. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone. Im looking for a new doctor for my son which sucks because Dr. Jackson is amazing with him. I just cant deal with the stress from this office. Being busy is one thing but not returning numerous calls for 5 days is horrible. My son needs an appointment ASAP for med refills.

I put in an order for a refill request on the answering service at Baycare for the Tampa location on Dr. MLK Blvd just before my medication ran out. I then received a call back from a staff member telling me that I would have to call the front desk and set up an appointment with my doctor, Dr. Ahmadi-Davis (Who has been an amazing doctor to me for the past few years btw) in order for me to get my medications refilled. It has literally been just over 2 weeks since I’ve been trying to get ahold of an actual human being that I can talk to, to get this appointment set up. As I am literally writing this review, I finally receive a phone call from Priscilla from the front desk. Priscilla was finally able to set up the soonest appointment for me to be able to connect with my doctor. She also put in an immediate request to the nurse practitioner so that she would be able to get enough of my medications filled, to hold me over until my appointment with my doctor. Huge sigh of relief on my part as I’ve been going threw horrible withdrawals from being without them. Priscilla expressed to me that for a little over a month now she has been the ONLY person holding down the fort. Priscilla is amazing and resolved with urgency what was a dire situation for me. She absolutely gets 5 stars from me all day, but for management to not help give her an outlet or an alternative other than to have her take the reigns on herself with all of the phone calls, appointment setting, and god knows what else is included, in what is an extremely challenging field in the first place. Mental Health is extremely important to all who suffer from this disease and should not be taken likely! Shame on management for not providing Priscilla with the assistance she needs in order to execute herposition diligently and properly. It is almost enough for her to be put into such a situation where her physical and mental state can become jeopardized as well. It is not only unfair to her, but to all those patients who literally depend on the relationship between their doctors as an outlet for there suffering. Hang in there Priscilla, I hope soon enough you get the assistance and relief you absolutely %100 deserve.

My first appointment was setup to speak to a MD therapist 2 weeks after speaking with my primary. However when I went in the therapist was not MD therapist that was unable to prescribe meds. So they had to reschedule me with a MD Therapist which the next available was 6 months from that date......... So I set up that date and they put me down on a cancellation list. Month after month went by so I called them to ask them about the cancellations list and why no one has called me. They told me that my name was not on the list.............. SO they put me back on that list again, and told me that I would need to call daily ( they never answer there phones, good luck..... After 6 months have passed they messed up my appointment again and had me come in a day late. When I got there they treated me as if it was my fault tho I showed them the confirmation on my phone. They told me that it would have to wait another 6 months............... So a whole year before I can be seen....... Wth his wrong with this place. They need to re structure there scheduling department because it just by far the most horrible experience Ive had. Ive left so many messages trying to get a freaking call back. Its like they cant be bothered. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Davis is amazing!! She is very knowledgeable and helped me discover that I have an condition (medical) that has probably been the cause of my anxiety for decades. She is kind, helpful, and always prompt. I highly recommend her and this practice. I wrote a review on NPI in Tampa and it is not positive at all. This is the place you want to go for any mental health issues.

I’ve been hospitalized both here and in Chicago. This place is pretty decent and the staff treat you appropriately. The only thing you have to do is follow the rules. The rules are set in place for a reason and that’s basically for your safety as well as the staffs. Other then that the only thing I can suggest is that they offer snacks as well as maybe some board games to entertain the us patients when there is free time.

Had a wonderful, bright, educated therapist. I wont publish her name. She had a sincere caring attitude for her patients. She helped me immensely. She suggested homework and books for me to read etc. Unfortunately, my insurance ran out, and I could no longer afford to go. Thank you S.

The doctor said I dont look psychoticExactly what does a psychotic person look like?Ive already been diagnosed by a different doctor at a different place, but unfortunately my insurance is difficult and cut me off. Which is why I went here. You get what you pay for.He then tried to scare me off of medications by talking about the side effects.Okaaaay that was a waste of time. This is where Americas mental health problem starts. Its hard enough getting the courage to face a doctor, talk about embarrassing and terrifying symptoms, and facing medications. and thats if you have insurance. Its sick that a doctor can act like this. We dont need it. We dont deserve it.

Worst place I have ever been. The doctor was good but does not take time with you that she should. I saw DR and left without rx. I have calling for 3 weeks and they call me when Im at work so I left my work number and they wont call. Needless to say I have been without all my RX and I tried to make another appointment and they stated that their policy is to see you only every two months. I am feeling terrible and they will not help. Do not go there if you want quality care.
