Wow! I would give 6 stars if I could. My middle son is an aspiring magician and they REALLY knew their stuff!!!! The owners father even gave him a gift before we left. It was the best customer service Ive experienced in a LONG time!

Went into magic emporium with my in law. and I had never set foot in a magic store before but let me tell you the selection is great. even though there was a trick they did not have the gentlemen was more than happy to add it to his next order for us. I walked out of there with 2 coin tricks and three others. ALL of which were demonstrated by the kind sir. very helpful very accommodating and fun to talk with. this is now my new favorite local go to magic shop. worth the trip and definitely worth the money. (very fair pricing as well)

The shop has a great selection of tricks, books, kits, DVDs, cards, coins, and all sorts of magic gear. Even with such a great inventory, the most valuable asset here is the people. The guys behind the counter (Gary, Gary Sr. and Matt) have been a wonderful help to me as fellow magicians and as friends. I would be lost without this place.If youre even vaguely interested in magic, stop by and see what its all about. Maybe, like me, youll find a passion to last a lifetime.

This place is amazing. Its not huge, but they have so much to offer anyone interested in magic. From the novice to the pro. The gentleman Gary behind the counter is very nice and very talented in magic, although he may tell you otherwise. We are very happy we found this shop, and will continue to visit.

We stopped in to The Magic Emporium as a surprise for our youngest son who is getting interested in magic and found a great basic magic set along with a couple of other tricks and of course the sponge balls! He really enjoys the sleight of hand with those! The gentleman behind the counter took the time to show my son how the sponge balls and stripper deck worked so you can always find the card someone selected from the deck. He can already do many of these tricks and we will be calling them from Illinois for any future purchases!

The shop is great! I go there all the time. they have a great selection and if what you want is not there they will put it on the order for the next shipment. They are very friendly and its a great place to go.

As a serious hobbyist and student of Magic, I have to give this shop an A+ rating. If Gary doesnt have it, he will get it for you. The staff is very accommodating and is regularly encouraging the beginner. For those that are wondering if there is something here for the serious magician, stop by on the first Tuesday of month for the local IBM meeting. Hats off to Gary and the gang for a great store!

Youll find just about everything to do with magic here. They even have vintage pieces that are at fair prices. The staff is friendly and are willing to demonstrate the products. If you are like me, you wont want to leave too soon.

They are going on line so everything is in boxes now.

Love taking my kids to the kids club as well as the summer shows they do for the family!! Always friendly staff that show tricks to anyone who walks in. No pressure to buy; they want to make sure that you know the trick and can do it before you leave. Some of the older magicians (that stop by to hang) dont even mind talking with you to give you tips on doing tricks!

Gary was very knowledgeable and helpful and most important very patient while i was purchasing magic for my grandson.. they have a lot of interesting vintage magic and new effects. . me and my Grandson will shop here when we are in town.

On Friday afternoon September 23rd I visited the Magic Emporium for the first time. I had been a magician many years ago and and was looking to do magic again. My visit consisted of being ignored by the staff who felt that it was more important to gossip with some of the local magicians than to greet a new customer who was looking to make a purchase. This went on for 25 minutes until one of the staff said: If you have any questions, please ask. I had designated a goodly sum of cash to jump start my new venture. I have never been treated so indifferently. Even Louis Tanners in New York had a very attentive staff. I recommend that if you need anything magical, Magic Emporium is not interested in customer service.First impressions can be expensive and this one was. Not sure if I like this place. Visited last week and the man behind the counter looked like he was falling asleep. Spent about 20 minutes looking around and was not greeted or even asked if they could help me. I would have liked to made a purchase, but had no idea of what the things were and it was apparent I wasnt going to get any help. So I just left the store.

I am a lifelong fan of magic, and for years I had to send off for magic because there wasnt a decent magic shop around, then I discovered Magic Emporium, and since then I find I cant go very long without stopping by and seeing what kind of great deals or new magic to buy. Their prices are better than online prices, and the staff are ALWAYS incredibly warm and friendly, Ive even caught some major acts performing there, this place is bar none what a magic shop should be and then some!!

They may be good if you are at the store. However, I find they do not answer inquiries to your order. I recently placed an order and, as of this date, the order has not been shipped. I have made two attempts to contact them regarding the order and have received no reply. I would understand completely if they contacted me and said it was being delayed because something was not in stock, etc. However, after two attempts to contact them, they have my $100, and I have no merchandise or contact from them they are not someone I will do business with again.Revision: received my order minus a $30 item. I contacted the, let them know and was told they would get it in the mail and add a free tshirt. A week later, no other update on the shipment, no merchandise, and $30 gone from my bank account. Let my $30 lesson be a lesson to you as well. Look at their review on Yelp. Others have had the same problem. #Lesson Learned # Never Again
