This place dont ever have to worry about me coming back here again. Dont understand why these places make appointments to have you sit all day and night. Ive been here for over 12hrs. They put you in a door load a little bit and then sit you back out on the yard to wait some more. Pot holes and mud all over the place. Chicken guts all up the driveways, not to mention the smell🤮. Beware and avoid of this place!

One of the worst experience so far. People were extremely rude. Shippering lady would not speak, just grunted like and animal and pointed where to sign .Dam near impossible to find the shippers office. Pre loaded trailer was not ready. Instead they loaded the trailer that I brought.10 to 12 hours late from pick up time. The smell is absolutely horrible and the parking lot is muddy and full of pot holes. I promise I will never ever, ever come here again.

Quick load after being half a day late. Major improvement from previous year where it took over 12 hours. Took an hour at most this time. Fantastic turn around. Was pleased!

Not a great place to work. Cold, wet, and chicken juice flying everywhere. There is high management turnover and about 120% turnover of the hourly staff. Pilgrims does not value its people!

This place is terrible. Smells horrendous and you leave the plant with that smell in your truck. When I came here to pick the load up that was supposed to be ready, they said it would be the next day. Then at 3:45am that next morning they call me and give me a door. Took them until 9:30am to load HALF the trailer and then they say they dont have the rest of the product so I go to Foodlion to wait. Got a call at 2:42pm so I go back to a dock door. Im sitting here now at 3:42pm and they havent even started loading. Dont waste your time with this place!

Rumor has it that chickens dont fly until night time. Its true so bring a lunch other than that the people are nice and helpful getting you situated.

18 hour detention. Get Ready! Heard Load will be ready in about 2 hours at least 5 times. So get ready for that one too. Do yourself a favor, if you get here and they tell you that your load will be ready in 2 hours, pull off and find another load. You will be delivering that one by the time this one is REALLY ready.

I wish they would at least have a pressure wash to clean where drivers & public have to dwell to do our jobs. They take a long time to load after appt 😐

Easy in and out if you’re picking up a preloaded trailer. Typical chicken house wait if you’re doing a live load. Stinks to high heaven like most other chicken houses. Highly recommend inquiring about ability to drop trailer for live load, head over to the Pilot (20 miles or so) on I20 and retrieve trailer when finished. Otherwise, pretty decent folks who do the best that they can.

Employees are great, but it is very smelly and full of pot holes and extremely slow

Not much to say. Went in dropped empty trailer and hooked to load. Didnt deal with anybody but the guard but she was great.

If you can get past the smell, this is a great place. It is one of the better chicken plants to load at. Yes, sometimes you get held up but sometimes your in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. Ive been held up 2 days at this plant before...but with the detention pay...I cannot speak poorly of them. They will let you drop your trailer and leave. Everyone there is extremely friendly. Wash your trailer before you get there....

This is the worst place I ever worked!! The care nothing of you or your family!! All they care about is getting pounds pounds pounds.. I did get the understanding of why pounds are so important but its just the way they go about doing so. We are all grown and deserve to be treated with equal respect. From how I was raised, you get what you give, smh. Even the stabbing that happened out there that day, they made us work the day after when we werent even supposed to because the police was still doing their investigation of what occurred during the incident. Security sucks because instead of verification from them to determine its me on my badge, they just want the badge visible. Instead of checking to make sure I am who I am, they dont and I purposely walked in with my brothers badge one day just to see if they would catch it and they didnt when anyone can walk in the plant like that. Dont ever work at this place because they torment you and its more of a plantation from slavery than a job to make a career out of.

The reefer thing aint me especially the smell. As far as wait it could be worse. I went to sleep and I believe they forgot about me . Got here at 0100. About 1300 unloaded re scaled and reloaded gone at 1500. Nice people. You can drop the trailer and go get something to eat

They drain chicken guts and runoff right into the loading and unloading area, so youll be walking through that slop on your way in. The loading floor is covered in what looks like blood, and youll be walking through that too. Then youll be getting back into the truck you live in. Be prepared for that. Ive been here 14 hours now, from before my appointment time, for a preloaded trailer. The smell is something special, worse than other chicken places -Im literally stopping to detail my truck after this, full truck and outer trailer wash. Everything hanging is going in the wash. Seriously, call ahead and ask if your trailer is ready before even coming. And no, no other chicken or cattle place has ever bothered me much, this place is just disgusting. Id rather pull a 34 at dodge city than do this again.

Came here for a delivery. Checked in at 7:30. Its been 5 hrs and no door. Just because they dont really need the product. Disregard anything the broker or the dispatcher is gonna tell you about an appointment...no such thing here. And the mess is at high level. Im done buying meat from pillgrims.

I felt I was given a dock door (because I’m a woman) that was extremely tight to back up my 53ft reefer.But gave the man (no he wasn’t melenated)the easier door to back in.Then the women were rude.Whenever melenated people are in certain positions in plants of this size they always treat our melenated sisters very unfairly.I wasn’t told what the temperature to set my reefer unit on.I wasn’t given a seal.I wasn’t told I had a temp recorder in my trailer.According to the Security Guy they were supposed to make sure I knew those things.But he went over all details & verifies I’m aware.He asked about the seal & where was the seal

Sad to say other than the known disrespect and racism towards workers they have other problems such as hygiene cross-contamination safety and plenty of other issues. I would not recommend anyone eat any chicken purchase or so from Pilgrims Pride

The employee parking is horrible to small sports and compact cars with low suspension.

This is the NASTIEST chicken plant I have ever been to. As a truck driver Ive been to almost all of them and this is the worst. Honestly its so nasty with so many health violations I dont know how theyre even still in business.

They had took 10 hours to get our load ready and we have been there since 9 this morning but were finally out with an hour of drive time at least when we got our load they didnt take forever

This place is @#&@&# up!!!!! Been here for almost 19hrs. I just NOW asked to use the restroom and he told me where to go.so I get there and the guy behind the counter tells me this restroom is messed up go to the one at the scale house. Now mind you the scale house is way to far to walk. And driving would start my clock!!!!! This place sucks!!!!!!

Get ready to wait 10 plus hours to get loaded while staring at chicken guts and smelling the most horrid smell you can imagine.  When you finally are able to leave you will be sick for days from the disease you contracted from sitting literally in rotten chicken guts.  It will take days to get the smell off your truck.   This place is disgusting.

6+ hours and still waiting to be loaded...I called 4 hours later and they tell my my load has been ready for 4 hours ago...never again

As a driver the people I deal with are nice.

Its pilgrims pride so nothing special, it can take all day to get loaded just like the rest. They get 3 stars just for allowing overnight parking. The staff is very friendly too

You must have a wash out trailer and a receipt 19hrs waiting to be loaded this place smells so bad and thats not all once you get your bills you have to wait another hour then you can leave

Was told by the broker and my company that my load was a preloaded trailer that I could pick up between 2am and 10 pm I got here around 2pm after fueling and getting my refer washed out its now 1142pm and I got told that they were going to be live loading me even though it was suppose to be preloaded hours ago.

Do not work for this company you will get harassed and none of the supervisors HRS or security guards would care they would put you in an unsafe working environment and do not care they dont care about any type of lawsuits because they will work with each other to act like they dont know what is going on and then they will try to fire you if you say anything or try to get any type of lawsuits against them they will fire you before you can complete that lawsuit and then they will stick together and state that they dont know you they will act like they have amnesia of whats your name when it comes to down to any legal perspectives beware of this job this job will violate your civil rights and they let their employees work with no gloves , they also let your meat stay on the floors they kick it across the floor and then they package it and give it to you ,THE WORST COMPANY EVER.. IF YOU WANT TO BE A SLAVE AGAIN WORK FOR THIS COMPANY
