I have been renting from maroon and white for almost 4 years. I cant say anything but great positive things. I moved here when my daughter went to Mississippi State. Ive lived in other apartments over the years and I know how I want to be treated as a tenant. The staff at maroon and white has always been there no matter what I needed. Ive only had a couple maintenance requests because my apartment is in great condition but when I have needed them, they always replied in a very timely fashion and were very communicative in resolving my situation. Britt went above and beyond and helped me out when I needed it during covid. that meant so much to me. The apartments are great, lots of different layouts to choose from, the lawn is kept up regularly, the grounds are nice and clean, and I am definitely a very happy tenant and plan to be here for a while. Thanks for all that yall do for us.

First, I think the team at M&W Realty is incredible. The owner and I had worked together ever since I bought my former property in 2008,turned it into a rental when I was hired at my first corporate job, causing me to move two hours South of Starkville, and recently sold that property earlier this year. The management company aspect and selling is a plus. The experience taughtme how to manage properties and work with the staff, which I will never forget.The team gave the effort to work and find buyers for the property was terrific.I was pleased to have the company manage my property for 12 years and then turn around and sell the property. They are great! They are so easy to get in touch with, and they really care about their tenants! The few minor issues we’ve had with our home have always been addressed quickly. My husband and I will definitely be renewing our lease!

My daughter lives in a Maroon and White property while attending Mississippi State University. On Sunday afternoon the toilets in her house were discovered not working. M&W was notified on Sunday afternoon and their response was “ we will try to get someone there tomorrow”. On Monday they did not get a plumbing service to their house. My daughter has now been there for the second night with out an operable toilet. I do not think M&W managers would allow their family to live in a house with inoperable toilets. Also the manager Sterling also responds to the tenants in a degrading manner because my daughter is afraid to contact the company due to how he responds to her. I DO NOT recommend this company. Their response to this issue is completely unprofessional and almost criminal.

Maroon and white is a great place if you do not mind cheap Maintenance. There is mold that had come down from a leak up stairs and they proceeded to tell me that The only thing they can do was to paint over it. Unfortunately for them trying to cut money to half fix things doesn’t fly with me. My wife and I have constantly told them we aren’t happy with how they fix things and they still try to lure us into believing it’s not that big an issue. Will no longer be using Maroon and White after our lease is up. Also will warn others about poor quality Maintenance and the lack of care for the tenants issues.

Maroon and White Realty is the way to go. They are the most professional property owners in Starkville. Easy transition into moving in and out. Theyve been extremely helpful and very quick to respond with any questions. Each staff on their team is a joy and full of positivity. Thank you to each staff member for going above and beyond especially during Covid.

I found myself in a jam this summer, and the staff at Maroon and White Realty went above and beyond to help me out. When my house buying plans fell through, I had less than a month to find another apartment before my lease expired. I saw one of their video posts on Facebook and reached out, and I was delighted that they responded that same day! Even in the craziness thats covid, they made sure I got a tour of the place, arrangements made, and papers signed; all while keeping ourselves safe. They even scheduled me for an early move in and were always available if I had any questions. Im so appreciative and grateful, and I would highly recommend them!

I inquired about a place, but it was already leased, however, I was shown another property with the same exact layout as well as them honoring the same rent price as the original place. I dealt with Michelle through the whole process. She even went through hoops helping me get the previous persons internet cut off so I could turn it on in my name without having to wait for their billing cycle to end.

I have been a Maroon and White tenant for a year now and they have been great! Any need or problems I have had they were prompt to respond and have them fixed. The house was cleaned before I moved in and Michelle Hayden even made sure she came and turned the air on prior to my arrival. 10/10 would recommend them!

BEWARE! Ive had several friends over the years who rented houses/apartments these guys; and all but 1 had negative experiences. The issues they had were primarily in regards to maintenance; or the lack there of. Many work orders are either late, or ignored completely. The fixes that are performed are generally temporary and cheap. If you bring up any concerns with ignored maintenance work orders, you can expect a disrespectful response where management describes themselves as professional. Theyll problably refute this in the comments; but its problably NOT a coincidence that the honest reviews here that are expressing the same concerns. Theyre at least punctual about collecting your rent on time, but I wouldnt expect more.

My husband and I rented from Maroon and White for 6 years. Over that time period I feel like you really get to know people. We learned that they, especially Sterling, truly cares about their tenants. Even when my Dad passed, Sterling reached out to ask if there was any way to help. Maintenance is great and the houses were reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend!!

During our time with Maroon and White Realty, we turned in a list of maintenance issues, which included water draining from the washing machine flooding the house, windows didn’t lock, the ladder leading to the attic was not fully attached nor fully assembled, etc. They ignored most of our issues and some of the issues that they did fix, they only did a temporary fix, in which some of them caused safety issues. In addition to these issues, our house almost burned down due to a bad capacitor and bare wires within the AC unit and burning dust in the ducting. It was recommended that the whole unit be replaced, but no action was taken regarding that. After all this, they took most of our security deposit to perform routine house maintenance. They even admitted that it wasn’t our fault for the maintenance, but they wouldn’t give us our money back. Needless to say, we do not recommend leasing from Maroon & White Realty.

I rented from Maroon and White Realty for 5 years. During that time span I lived I 4 different properties. I found each move to be effortless from the standpoint of dealing with property management which was a huge help in all of our transitions. Ive always enjoyed the staff and feel that Maroon and White Realty had my best interests at hand at all times. I recommend this company to anyone looking for rental property in Starkville.

First off Im not a negative person at all I invested in some properties not long ago and in need of some information on a potential tenant that has rented from here and had the potential tenant to sign & approved the reference form took it to they office they tell me they will email me the information but they tell me on the phone they pull the application and cant give information out with out potential tenant approval I understand that but I never got the email.. maybe because Im young and BLACK. Smh Im just trying to protect my property thats all........

Be cautious with this rental company! They never take care of their tenants right. Extremely nasty interior condition after you move into their new house. Maintenance team keep absent for months after your maintenance requests. Their Owner Sterling Dahl is so hypocritical. He is usually acting as a good guy before you sign your leasing contract, and completely switch to a different person after you sign the contract! Stay away from it!!!!!

They have been managing my rental in Starkville for 5 years. They dont nickel and dime me. They are dependable, reasonable, responsive and tries to save me from unneeded expenses.

Maroon and White have a no prorating policy, meaning if you move in on the 8th you pay the full month, if you move out on the 25th you pay for the whole month. This is a scam. Their lease starts on the 8th and runs through the 25th, meaning you are paying for 2 weeks extra. Marron and White stated to me that this was in the contract. So beware future tenants.

Maroon and White reality is the worst company I have ever dealt with. To start off the apartment not only wasnt cleaned, but it wasnt even cleared of both hazardous materials (used motor oil was contained in a large bucket with no lid) in the garage as well as a sex doll in one of the bedrooms. I counted seven wasps nests on my balcony alone. Sterling Dahl has never answered his phone or returned any of my calls and voicemails, however, Michelle at the front desk is quite friendly and helpful.Additionally, the house my two roommates and I leased was sold to another family BEFORE WE MOVED IN. We were forced out two weeks after moving in forcing us to pay many transfer fees in utilities and causing a lot of headache in general. We have received no compensation for this process through Maroon and White. I have zero respect for the management of maroon and White reality and will happily tell everyone I know to NEVER even consider leasing through them.
