Climate Control installed a new Rheem HVAC system in my house a year and a half ago. We have found many issues with the installation and overall (lack of) quality of work. I detail them here:1. The dimensions of the attic door were not measured during the initial visit. So, during the installation they brought an evaporator/furnace unit that would not fit through the attic door. This initiated a last-minute scramble to find another unit that could fit.2. Even to get this unit to fit through the attic door they had to tear the trim around this door.3. Once the installation was done, they did a horrendous job to put the trim back on the door (see attached picture). I complained to the owner about this and he then sent someone to fix this.4. Random parts of the old installation were littered around the attic.5. When we tried to turn on the furnace in the first winter season after the installation, the unit would not heat. Turned out that someone forgot to turn on a valve after the installation. The company sent someone to fix this after our call.6. The first summer after the installation the AC would not cool since the outside condenser unit was not turning on. Each time to turn on the condenser I had to go outside and shake the thermostat wire. They had decided not replace the 30 year old thermostat wire which was missing insulation and was very brittle, broken and beyond repair. Their choice was to put electric insulation tape (see pictures). When contacted about the issue they told us that they dont ever replace this wire on any installation. I find this surprising. The issue with the wire was obvious during installation and they preferred to use the same wire and risk unreliability as opposed to put a new $5 wire and make sure that the customer has a dependable installation. In the end, I decided to replace the wire myself.7. A year and a half after the installation the unit is producing no cooling at all. I ran it for 5 hours without any change in the temperature in the house. We called another contractor and he figured out that the unit had been leaking refrigerant due to a loose nut in the evaporator. It cost me several hundred dollars to get a leak test done and to refill refrigerant.8. While the contractor was fixing the leak, he found several other places where Climate Control had chosen to cut corners during their installation work. The most surprising was a gap between the evaporator and the ductwork in the attic. This is about an inch wide gap along the perimeter of the connection. Instead of using sheet-metal to cover this gap reliably, they just put tape to cover it. While I can understand the use of tape to seal small gaps, I dont see why it should be used to serve as the duct.Climate Control, in my experience, is very unreliable, cuts corners in their work and has very poor quality control. I would not recommend their HVAC installation services. I have no clue how many more issues I will have to deal with in years to come.

Brantley, the owner, came out on a Friday to give us a quote on replacing our old HVAC system. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns I had. The following Tuesday, his guys were here to install the new inside and outside unit. They were very professional and informative and didn’t mind me asking questions along the way. The weather forecast went from sunny to intermittent rain, but his guys never complained. They got the units put in and installed our new smart thermostat and had us ready to go by the end of the day. I’d definitely recommend Brantley and his staff for your HVAC needs!

We had a leak on our inside unit. Other companies just kept putting Refrigerant in the unit. I bet we spent over $1200 on refrigerant over two years. Climate control came out and diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately because we had an aluminum coil they stated that we would have to have a new coil or a new inside unit. They gave us a price to do both. Because our unit was over ten years old the part was almost as much as a new inside unit. We decided to go with a new inside unit. Climate Control had the unit there and totally installed by 11 am the next day. That was in mid March. The new unit has been blowing Icicles ever since. Give Brantley and his team a call you will not be disappointed.

VERY knowledgeable staff. They were extremely helpful in choosing the right replacement heat pump system for my house. Could not be happier with the results. Professional, helpful, and responsive. My furnace went out over the weekend, and I had to be out of town for work for the next two weeks. I was worried about my pipes freezing with the record cold March weather. I tried calling several companies. One never called back, one didnt answer their phone, and another was booked and referred me to Climate Control. Climate Control coordinated with my neighbors to get a key and had the problem fixed by lunch time. They kept me updated by as they were looking for a part. I appreciated how quickly they solved the issue and communicated. The rate was affordable. I will definitely use their services in the future.

Our summer attic temperatures have typically been 120 degrees or higher during the afternoons and early evenings. This was after installing two electric exhaust fans on thermostats. The attic fans would run for hours, but the attic temperature remained well over 100 degrees even after sun down. In the hottest months of the summer there were rooms in our home that never seemed to be cool enough. This year in May 2018 Climate Control installed open cell foam insulation in our attic. The temperature difference is dramatic. It is now late June and the afternoon attic temperature is typically between 80 and 90 degrees. Our AC works better and our electric bills are lower. I highly recommend Climate Control foam insulation service.

Weve done a lot of business with Climate Control over the past few years. They often help us with AC units that are located on rooftops that need to be re-roofed. I called when they were just wrapping up another job so I think I had good timing with the call. They came by within 20 minutes and identified the problem, left to get a new fan motor, and had my AC back up and running in just a couple hours. Friendly crew with good manners.
