If you plan on freezing your birds only go here if you have too many to slaughter yourself. I like butchering poultry, but dont have the ability to vacuum seal them like most processors usually do. It was easy to schedule, drop off, and pick up the birds, but the packaging is not sufficient for preventing freezer burn since they are essentially just bagged. I paid $11/turkey and I will not be back.

Facility recently (3 weeks ago) purchased by Muslims. Muslim owners now refuse to process pigs! Scheduled harvest date for today 6 months ago. Drove 2 hours to facility in Stamford NY to learn they no longer harvest pigs. No phone call, no nothing. People, stop going here. Im calling all local butchers and processing facilities to take on extra work. This is 100% discrimination!

This was our first time dealing with meat chickens. Eklunds was very good at answering my calls when I had questions. We dropped off our lot of 40 birds Friday morning and they were ready for pickup Saturday morning. We will be repeat customer.

They need to do something about the smell of dead carcass or perhaps consider moving somewhere more remote. People who use the catskills scenic trails and the nearby residences, including myself, have to deal with the atrocious smell. Bad location.
