I see that many of the low reviews mention the owner and/or former manager, Mason. Just wanted to leave a review to say that the former owner died a few months back and Mason is no longer with the company. The 2 guys who work there now are great! The shop is very reasonable and the service is perfect and always fast. They were even open during the week of sub zero temps and snow we had this year. Take your car to them and you wont be disappointed! 💜

Been coming here for years for oil changes. The two working today were both very nice, gave me the exact services I requested at a lower price than I expected. Talking with them it is obvious that they love cars and know them well.

BEWARE!!!!! Do not take your vehicle here for ANYTHING! I went to go get a oil change on my VW pssat. Once my oil change was done I paid and went on about my day. I looked up at my sticker that they change every time you get a oil change to see that the oil the put in my car was 530 not 540. Keep in mind this is once I’ve left, so I go back and they did change it. HOWEVER I wanted something in writing or a receipt showing that they put 530 in and then replaced it with 540 just in case something happened to my car since the oil had to cycle through. The manager then comes out to my car and says and I quote “your cars fine it is what it is, take your car to Volkswagen next time, you probably do this everywhere you go.” Now tell me where that is good customer service..... you won’t write that you guys messed up and put the wrong oil and then told me it’s a mom and pop shop and to basically get over it. Also would note my receipt says they vacuumed and cleaned my windows that was not done. Also says they checked my lights which I guess they did because my change light light is now on. So I called and asked for the owners info because I’m appalled at the service that was given and the lady who answers the phones says there is no one higher than the guy who told me to take my business else where and she would talk to him. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE DO NOT COME HERE OR HAVE ANY FAMILY COME.

Called here today, on a Friday afternoon inquiring about getting a State Inspection done for a recently purchased vehicle and they said come on down! Got there, and I was in and out in minutes. Unbelievably fast service! Everyone else said make an appointment for Monday!

The owner is not exactly customer oriented. Quite sometime ago, I took my SUV in for a regular oil change at their Sunshine Street location. The attendant said that because of my mileage (75,000 miles) I needed the rear end differential fluid changed. So, my first mistake was not consulting my owners manual which said the differential fluid should be changed every 150,000 miles. My second mistake was authorizing them to change the fluid. The third mistake was they didnt know what they were doing and replaced the fluid with the WRONG fluid, which caused the differential to lock up. The owner refused to make it right, so I was forced to sue them in Greene County small claims court, and file a complaint with the BBB. I received a judgement for the amount to repair my SUV at the Ford dealer. Do you think at that point the owner would pay up? Hell no. I had to find out what bank he banked at, go back to the court to garnish his account. This guy is unreal. Before this incident I took all of my vehicle here for oil change, and was a loyal, polite customer. Not anymore!!! BUYER BEWARE.

They werent busy on the Saturday afternoon that I went to get an oil change,so they got me in immediately. The oil change didnt take but about 10 minutes. Super fast. I got high mileage oil so the total cost was about $20 than the standard oil change.

My wife took her car up here for an inspection, they failed the inspection saying she needed new brakes,that’s understandable, they told her it would be 280 dollars to change them, which is ridiculous, then they went on to tell her she needed a two new filters replaced, one was 40 dollars the other was 30, Why were they checking her filters and oil when all she asked for was an inspection? We will never give them business and if you’re wise you won’t either, this place is a joke! and just because she’s a lady who doesn’t know anything about cars, doesn’t mean she should be taken advantage. She went on to a trusted mechanic on the other side of town and got her front brakes done for 80 including an inspection, she was also told her back brakes were fine. I strongly encourage you to find another place to get work done, these people will try an rip you off!

Extremely rude people there! I called to ask about price to flush my radiator. The guys says Mr. smith ! I ask whos speaking, he then turns around and rudely says I called him. He was correct I did call him. I told him I would like to have his name as to realize/understand who I was talking to. Finally I told him never mind if your that rude on the phone, Ill go somewhere else. I used to go there often but the owner is very rude and they charged me 80 plus dollars to change my oil. I now get it for $35.00 at the Dodge dealer. No hassle, no fuss. Just good business with Corwin Dodge.

The owner of the establishment is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I simply call to ask a question and literally he hung up on me. I called back to verify that possibly it could have been an accident and again he hung up on me. I would sooner do any work myself then go to someone who treats other people the way that he treated me. I hope no one else has ever treated as rudely as he treated me.

Went to Sunshine location and they said my van was too tall so they sent me to Battlefield Store Location. The tech Mason at Battlefield was horrible. He did nothing but complain that Sunshine store owner was an idiot for sending me over to him. He only had one person ahead of me but acted like I was really messing up his day by being there. He had an amazingly bad attitude. He tried to up-sell me real hard on synthetic. He refused to do a rotation even though the manager at Sunshine said he could do it there using hand jacks. He didnt clean the windows or vacuum the interior even though he said he did on the receipt. He wrote on the receipt recommend fuel treatment, engine treatment and Fuel injector service. This is a brand new van. He didnt quote a price, didnt use any floor mats or seat covers. I drive 75000 miles a year and get an oil change about once a month somewhere across the USA. This was by far my worst experience ever. My business was surely not appreciated at either location and I therefore will not return.

This is the most awful place I have ever visited the manager I think was Mason he was rude and told me my oil change would b for 4000 miles then I got my receipt and it said 3000 miles I went in and asked him why 3000 when he told me it was good for 4000 and he informed me I could drive more miles on it and it would be ok really then why didnt he just say it was good for 3000 miles I think this place is shady and they dont do what they say I will never go back there again and Im thinking about turning them in to the better business bureau nobody should have to go through this its crazy and I would never recommend this place to any one so awful

I took my daughters 2010 BMW 128i in for an oil change while I was home for the holidays (I work overseas). We had bought the car for her 16th birthday. It is a great car and had no issues for the first six months until....we took it to Mr. Smiths Fast Lube on W Battlefield. I did this because I didnt want to take it to the stealership and your local Walmart cannot do the BMWs. They assured me they could do the job correctly, they had the knowledge, experience, and equipment. Well, the other comments on up charges are very familiar! Not a problem - I did want the synthetic oil. However, what I didnt want, and didnt have until they touched the car, is small puddles of oil leaking from the bottom of the car now! So, it looks like the next time I am in town I will need to stop by their shop and see if the management is willing to make things right. Stay tuned - I will update on results.
