Haven’t been there, but the reviews seem to positive and weak. I’m only 11 btw. What I’m looking for is a dojo that will teach me about life and how negative it can get. Take the show cobra Kai for example they taught you how to get through things without being a wimp, and if you are one they teach you how to not be one. So if I come to that dojo it better be what I just said, the motto better be like “you rly think ima type the cobra Kai motto who doesn’t know it”. What I’m trying to say if your looking for a dojo you want to have a challenge then this prob isn’t the one. And the place looks like it’s gonna run down. Sad

Great place to learn karate. Best prices in the Springfield area!!!! Wonderful Sensei!!! Learning karate has really helped my daughter gain self-confidence along with self-defense. I recommend this place without any hesitation!!!

Great instruction that will challenge your child or yourself if youre an adult. This isnt pay for a belt karate. Its real Japanese traditional karate. Price is outstanding for the amount of instruction.

This is from one of my childens parents.My son had been asking to try out karate for several years and when we finally decided to let him have a go, we remembered Steve from a brief encounter years ago and decided that wed get in touch about classes. Best decision we couldve made! He is wonderful with the kids, a true Sensei who is focused on the journey not the competition. Weve see huge changes in our 10 year old son who in just a few months is more confident, relaxed and focused. Our daughter was originally along for the ride, following big brother, but now loves Karate and is making strides as well. Ive noticed more teamwork and less bickering. Both kids are excited to go to class each week! I would absolutely recommend Kaizen Shotokan to anyone looking for a Dojo. Its a small school with great instruction and the perfect environment to gain confidence and skills while having a great time!!Caitlin D.
