I was there just the other night with my computer that was giving off a 3.2 error. Which is usually something to do with the RAM. I was hoping since they were professionals they would be able to help. I gave them my laptop and the guy was in the back for maybe a minute AT MOST. He then came back and said, “Yeah I’m pretty sure the whole motherboard is shot.” Me- who bought this laptop a year and a half ago- was baffled. I didn’t want to believe it, but I did. Thankfully my dad didn’t believe that. They also told me it wouldn’t even turn on. The next day I took it to my brother who is an IT, something I should’ve done in the first place, and he said it turned on. It was perfectly fine after he rebooted it. Crazy, right?? He ran individual tests and found out it is the RAM, but it just needed reseated. So moral of the story- geek squad is only out for your money.

They found 1 ant in my computer so I had to take it back home and then clean it and bring it back to them before they would even look at it. Very poor service. I would advise going somewhere else that has more care.

I took my Dell computer in to Best Buy, let me say first, my wife & had purchased that Dell only about 3 months prior to taking it in to the geeks. That computer was not only new but we took extra measures to minimize the way it was used, meaning NO GAMES, nothing that should stress the computer too much. It turns out to be the worst (Over a $1000.00) weve ever spent. So, Geek Squad has now had it over a month and the only way I have any idea where it is, is because i stayed on the phone for 40minutes until i actually got to talk to a human being. I was told the computer was on the way to Kentucky! So, theyve had it over a month and its not even been looked at! Supposedly its still under warranty, I think they should replace it with a new one, & asked but was told I would have to wait! How long? Well its been over a month since I last saw our new Dell, I can only imagine how long its going to be now!?!?

Took in my gaming desktop to solve a software issue and to get it cleaned out hoping they would do it professionally. Well they fixed the software issue so i appreciate that, however the person cleaning didnt actually clean it, they cleaned the easily visible parts and left all the cooling fans, graphics card, motherboard, and powersupply caked with dust :/ the one time repair and cleaning definitely isnt worth $150 since there apparently isnt any actual cleaning.

Do not take your stuff here apparently Best Buy has too much money now they dont care about their customers we literally live an hour away we showed up early they would not let me drop my stuff off an hour early they made they want me to wait there just to drop off my computer

1 star: The geek squad in Springfield doesnt flash OS5 stars: Super honest, awesome people. I had run off and forgot my wallet there. They put it in a safe and found me through the store records. They called me and let me know they had it.

Vinnie!!!!! Shout out to Vinnie for sure! He was super helpful and easy to talk to. My phone completely burnt out, and he was able to get me a new phone and tried so hard to retrieve my data from my old phone. I was with him for over and hour, but went by fast because he was super cool. Also, just a shout out to all of the geek squad today. It was very busy when I came in and had over heard that it had been busy all day. While I was there they dealt with people and there needs, no matter the circumstance, and were always so nice.

Im very unhappy with the service I received today in regards to my iPhone repairs. I bought my iPhone 7 at this best buy less than a year ago - I purchased apple care and was told I had a one year warranty on it. Whenever the guy looked at my phone, he told me the best he could do was send my phone to Kentucky which would take 10 days, and that I was unable to get a loaner phone during this time because I was unqualified according to Apple. He said that my specific phone type has a malfunction in which there was absolutely nothing that could be done to fix it - so in 10 days I would be sent back a refurbished phone and theres no guarantee it would even be the same generation as mine. I asked him about my warranty plan which he pushed aside and continued to tell me I could upgrade my phone if I didnt want to send it back. He said my $800 cell phone was now of no good use.I was unsatisfied as I KNEW this was incorrect and that I was obligated to get a free replacement of my phone and a loaner phone during the repair time, so I left. I went to simply mac and within 10 minutes of walking through their doors, I was given a free loaner phone and my phone was being sent of to Kentucky to be REPAIRED and I would be receiving my exact phone back in approximately two weeks time. I was told apple has put out an extended warranty on this phone since it has had previous malfunctions and I would get a repair free of charge.My advice to you guys at best buy/geek squad - do not agree to work on apple products if you are not up to date with their warranty plans and loaner phone regulations.

Not happy. I was told by a rep they would test the components of my PC. Today, they called to tell me they cant test the components on my PC so they *think* it might be my motherboard. They then tried to upsell me on a PC rebuild.I used to work on computers. Ive seen this tactic from other shops before and Im not falling for it. Dont advertise yourselves as experts when youre clueless.

Geek Squad worked quickly and customer service was wonderful. They kept me fully informed through the process. It didnt take all that long to fix my computer. I was very satisfied with how everything went.

You are dealing with amateurs here. Some of which, in the future, may become real savvy tech people, hopefully. We are their Guinea pigs.. At this point, they have no earthly idea what service, if any they are providing. They have a script of sorts, with a menu of services they provide, however the catch is they have no clue or hint as to what they are doing. Once something goes wrong and you question them about a solution you are put on the tech slaughter list (figure of speech) and you are stuck in a Que for days in hopes of finding a solution. They have absolutely NO regard for the small business person and how their incompetence may impact your business aka: livelihood. They sure do know to sell services and false promises. I have waited and waited to make an appropriate determination of the actual quality of service provided by this company. After four day, numerous calls, hours going back and forth and more hollow excuses than I have hair, this is my final observation.

They were not knowledgeable or friendly. Best buy sold me a broken computer the manufacturer acknowledged it was broken but best buy still wanted to charge a restocking fee. It took 3 hours of arguing to get the issue resolved

Geek Squad is the very definition of repair. Whether it be computers, Network equipment, printers, cell phones, sound systems, appliances they do it all. Quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

What a joke. Even though we didnt buy thru Best Buy, I was told we could hire the Geek Squad to come to our house and rewire our home theatre system. I called because I didnt want to online chat. I was put on hold and told it would be a 5 minute wait. 23 minutes later I hung up. Several times the recording stopped and I would say hello only to be put back on hold. If they cant do this simple thing well, I will find someone else to come to the house!

RUDE and NOT HELPFUL! The Technician that DOES know what is going on ignores customers, even when available does not help the new employees that are unsure and have to ask question at every step - employee knew less than I do. SO DISAPPOINTING

I was told 1 week I had to call in to be told they wanted more $$ . They never started on it or notified me either one. When i called in was given a run around. Nobody seems to know anything there. Its gone downhill

They geek squad needs to be more prepared when they come have showed up twice to fix my appliances and had wrong parts huge inconvenience for my family when I complained they acted like I was just being difficult so will no longer purchase products from them and we are elet plus members theyre lose not mine
