*PLEASE READ* I have been having intermittent internet issues. The internet has been consistently dropping out after switching to 1GB data and new modem instead of the ISPs modem/router combo. Due to getting nowhere with the modem/isp customer service, I decided to call Sean Michael with Rethink, and he helped tremendously. Super nice and very knowledgeable. He was willing to suggest a modem that he trusts and even next steps if that didnt fix my issue. We did have to end up installing a new coax from the home to modem and are still having the issue, but he has been more help than I had been getting from the ISP or NetGear. Thank you again and I will be recommending you whenever Im able!

Don’t ever ever ever. I repeat. EVER take your stuff here. Took my Pc there to be repaired. And while putting it back together. This dude fried my Ram. SSD. HD. All my RGB fans. My Corsair Commander Pro. My Corsair RGB Lighting Node and LED’s. All which was brand new and blamed it in bad parts lol Paid him like $500 for the repair but is guna cost Me twice that to rebuy all the parts he fried. Don’t ever ever ever take your PC stuff here. There’s definitely better places out there to take your Pc to.

My computer I purchased in 2009 and finally had to give it up. I contacted Shawn Michael Kirkbride, of Rethink Tech, and he did the PC Setup, transferring of my data from the old computer, set up my printer and I am a happy camper. I am not computer smart, but Shawn took his time with me and did a fantastic job in spite of all the questions I asked. Actually he should get extra points because where I have my computer set up is not an easy place to work. I give Shawn 5 stars and would not hesitate to recommend him.

You can tell he is passionate about what he does and offers thought provoking suggestions that you may have not considered. Its worth a sit down talk with him. He will ask you great questions to get to know you and what is important for your task.

Not trustworthy. Makes you feel confident until you take it to a professional and realise you have been fooled. He will make you overpay by suggesting parts that are not needed and will blow your problems out of proportions. Good luck if you go to him.

This is probably the only place Ill ever take my stuff to again, when I couldnt figure out what was going on, he worked on it till 3 in the morning so I could have it back that next day. On top of that, he didnt talk to me in a belittling way if i seemed confused on what he was talking about.

Such a nice guy! I got a new motherboard and it was giving me a hastle. Took it here and he figured out the ram just wasn’t set right. Didn’t charge me and took the time out of packing to move to help me out!

Shawn did a great job building my media center for me! He was quick with the work and very reasonably priced. I cant recommend Rethink Associates enough!

Regret buying from him. Sale went great, had issues with booting a month out after buying the thing-no settings were changed, everything stock. He diagnosed it, updated the bios, and reformatted windows for me-which was very appreciated. However-i experienced clipping and desktop freezing since day 1, and it wasnt fixed with the help i received(Bios update/Reformat). Come to find out the CPU is not nearly good enough for the GPU and is the root of the problem. Upon informing him of this i got a you bought it as is response and an offer to reformat my SSD again...like that would help? He knows that wont help the issue, and refuses to make good on his poor deal, or supply a refund. Id rather deal with Geek Squad-avoid this business. >.> *Edit upon reply: The SSD was not the issue and never was, weve been over this. Also, a CPU replacement was one of my suggestions yes, but I also suggested you to DOWN-grade my gpu instead-an alternative that was in your favor. Again I got a you bought it as is response...Do better

Rethink Tech!!! So on Saturday my computer decided it needed to do an update if proceeded to do this and then I found out it wiped my computer clean I have no access to any of my stuff frantic as I might be because you know Im a local photographer cant find any of my images and and my documents I was totally freaking out!! With a little Google search I found a nice gentleman and Republic to help me out and fix my computer keep in mind he was open on the 4th of July I drop my computer off and as of today he has informed me that he found all my missing images some of my documents hes going to rebuild my whole computer setup all my gauges and gadgets again and Ill be ready by tomorrow which is amazing because Im heading to a photo session right now Momma is going to need to edit images.. I initially contacted Shawn asking for advice on video cards and upgrading my computer to play a couple games. The computer I had really couldnt handle the kind of video card I needed so we ended up having Shawn build a computer for me. I thought the price was reasonable and he explained every single component I needed and gave me the information I needed to make decisions as to what would be in the system. The nice thing is it is capable of being upgraded even further down the road. He had the parts and had it built very quickly, within the week. After I got it home all I could say was WOW!!! This is the best computer I have ever owned! It is extremely fast and I could not be more pleased.We were so pleased with it that I asked him about a computer for my husband, who does more with pictures, editing and so on. Shawn explained how he would need something totally different and explained why. He explains things simply so you can understand them but he doesnt talk down to you. We decided to go ahead and have him build he second computer, more of a media computer than a gaming one like he built for me. We got that computer yesterday and all my husband can say is WOW!!! as well. He is absolutely thrilled that the new computer can handle his PaintShop X7 easily with no hanging up or waiting.If I ever need anything computer or tech related I absolutely will contact Shawn again. A little while back Shawn took advantage of the vulnerable situation I was in. Shawn profited even though he didnt deserve that profit. NOT ONE PENNY. Anyway, I really think he earned this 1 star!

I have to start this by saying that I have known Shawn the owner of ReThink Associates for a long time, in fact even before there was a ReThink Associates. While I have often called on him for advice for a small glitch or opinions on software and other programs I had never needed him for computer repair. While one might think when you have computer problems you would immediately take it to your friend but that isn’t always the case. Sometimes there is that old saying don’t mix business with pleasure. Often times I know that while we want to help support our friends when something as critical and valuable as our computers come into play it is hard to trust anyone. I have a MacBook Pro and while I knew that ReThink was more than capable to fix it I must say in the back of my mind I was worried if it was such a good idea to have a friend look at it. I mean what if they screwed something up and ended up costing me more in the long run. Would I still be able to be friends with this person? It might sound like I have an unusually close relationship with my computer but I go to school fulltime online so it literally is my livelihood. So this is my experience with ReThink Associates. My computer prompted for a new upgrade and when it was finished it would never get past the reboot. So with hesitation and panic I called Shawn to ask for his advice. Within minutes I was on my way to ReThink to have him take a look. He went through everything extremely thoroughly and offered me several solutions. It was at this moment I saw for the first time what it was like to be on the customer end and not just a friend. I was taken back by the professionalism and promptness with which he handled my computer needs. Within a week I had a completely new Apple Refurbished Main Board and it was working like a charm. Not only did it work great but he took every precaution with the data on my system and made sure that nothing was lost in translation. Never again will I even hesitate for future computer repair needs I know exactly who I will always trust with my computer needs.
