We have a gift card to MassageLuxe and basically were told that people who pay with a gift card are pushed back further out because they prefer people to pay with cash or credit cards and take care of the more daily folks more. When asked why they give out gift cards than, they said its just a policy.

I arrived about 5 min before 10am appointment. I filled out paper work which took about 10 min or so then disrobed for massage. My massage was supposed to have been for 1 hour but yet was finished by 5 until 11 ( though Amy/Aimee?) started at about 10:20.She asked me about areas of pain etc and I let her know I was having lower back pain.She massaged my arms, legs and head/scalp but didn’t work trouble areas.The girl at the check in was super sweet and establishment was clean and well maintained.

They have canceled 2 appointments one in April and the other one in May the day of. They dont try to make it up to their customers for the inconvenience the lady told me very rudely well its nothing we can do and I can let you know when someone is available for another date I will never book with them again

I had a facial done by Naela. I thought she was great, she recommended a facial and products that have actually worked for my skin. She was very professional, and focused on my comfort. I have nothing bad to say about her however, I am used to getting facials at another spa for a lower cost that include more service. The entire facial was a cleanse, a mask, and a moisturizer. There were no extractions, no steaming, none of the things that I’m used to that I was expecting. I think Massage Luxe should change their facial procedures and if not, change the prices to reflect all of the services you don’t receive with their VIP facials.

This rating is for checking in. The staff up front is too concerned about commission from new sales. This will cause you to wait a long time to check in for your appointment. Waiting takes away from the time you have paid towards your session.The staff that is in the back and cares for you are 5 Stars!

The monthly membership is a good deal as long as you go every month otherwise your point can add up big time and it will take a while to get them back to a monthly point use because only you can use the point except for once a year you can give away a one hour massage from your point and you will still have to pay a $20 up charge fee with that,And please tip you massage therapist in cash not on your credit card, tips are a gift for the good service you receive.when you tip with a credit card they put it on their pay check, so they may not get it for a week or two depending on the pay schedule.I dont think a service should have to pay taxes on their tips.And all of the massages therapists are good but each one is different in the touch and technique.

Second time there and the woman talked all thru the massage, so it was hard to relax. Also told her several times my legs were hitting and that is why I was there. She worked on my arms only for most of it, then said OK, you have five minutes left, what would you like me to work on ? . So no massage on the rest of my body . I thought it was to be a whole body massage like all the others I have had . My legs still hurt since they only got a quick five minutes attention attention , and was more tense from the talking than when I went in . Will probably not go back

I put my membership on hold in April 2019. Or at least thought I did. After months of charges I kindly asked them to work out a reasonable refund since I had not used the service and provided them with the exact details of my cancellation procedure. They denied it keeping hundreds of dollars. I will finish my services there and never return. Plus their therapists are nice people but average at best.

My fiance and I took advantage of the promotional deal and set appointments for massages. The receptionist was very helpful during both of our visits. My masseuse Jontae was VERY good. She got all of my knots and kinks out of my shoulders and lower back. She was very good and relaxing. He enjoyed his massage so much that he bought a membership. We will be returning soon for a couples massage. They have a very nice couples room.

Massage was average and certainly not deep tissue. The front desk staff is quite pushy about signing up for a package to the point of being rude and aggressive. They remind you of bratty little girls playing dress-up. Desperately trying to convey that they are an upscale facility but no amount of rude sales tactics and up-sell can mask a just-ok massage.

The environment of this establishment is nice. It is clean and smells good. I have had ONE true deep tissue massage the entire year I have been using their services. I always ask for deep tissue, but always end up with what I consider a normal Swedish massage. I am part of the monthly payment plan. I pay almost $60 a month and I get one hour massage for that. I have decided to stop my membership and just spend $60 toward a good massage somewhere else when I need it. The kicker is I have 7 hours saved up and I cant use them if I freeze my account! I found out I was also able to use my hours toward a facial so the last time I got a facial and then a massage. The lady that gave me a facial was nice, but I am used to my facials being kind of uncomfortable with steam and lots of poking and working my face over. This lady just did a cleanse and a mask and then rubbed my face, arms and shoulders a little. Then I went to get my massage and the kid that did it talked the entire time and was so bad! I mean, no technique at all. My 8 year old daughter would have done a better job. I called to complain and they didnt offer me anything and just said they would put it down on my account not to have him again. I never make a formal complaint, but this was so bad I had to and they did nothing. I had to come online to warn other people.

Nice people but way overpriced and don’t like being pressured into getting a monthly membership. Massage was so-so and I’m still hurting the day after from my issues...don’t feel like I’m any better. I don’t think the masseuse had a good knowledge of physiology. I’ve had much better massages in Champaign for half the price. Atmosphere is kind of awkward at Luxe.

Dear viewers, do not become discouraged about trying out fantastic massages due to these poor reviews! Most of these reviews are completely biased on behalf of coincidental cases that only occur in 1/1000 chances, (or clients that just act like children). Im very certain more extreme cases will come up about clients complaining about this store not honoring promised massages or clients saying, I didnt get what i asked for. As a worker of this store, I can completely assure anyone who comes in that we are glad to have you, and we appreciate your business at any time! However, referring back to being discouraged about poor reviews, do not take consideration for one moment of the clients who come in, expect a disappointing visit, find a quirk, and decide to blow up their bad review on facebook/google. This is bad for you, and the business. Allow me to explain; youre wanting a great massage, we have great massages. You see a bad review; you think we do not have great massages anymore. Youre now limited even further on places who even offer massages. Thank you for reading this long, hopefully informational, review about reviews.

Love their products. Horrible customer service when leaving the place. I was expecting an hour facial. Went it for my appt. and then the esthetician gave me an consultation on what She suggest I need for my problematic areas and I said okay. She then said well this is a 30 min process. I said okay. I thought since the service is only 30 min. I’m expecting to pay less than the 1 hour service. Well, got done and then went out to pay and they’re telling me the 30 min. service is the cost of a 1hour facial?! I told the front desk it was only 30 mins why am I paying for an hour session price? And the gratuity price for an hour? Pushing me to do the membership which I kept saying I don’t want. I was going to buy the products but after that I didn’t want to. It felt like I basically went in to pay $115 for my make up to be removed, face washed, put a mask on, and then moisturize it. I could have done that at home! This is why I remember I don’t come back. I was giving massage luxe a chance, been here several times, but definitely decided no more!

So, I will say that my bad experience was my fault, in that I should have listened to the reviews both on Yelp and Google... But, since my friend likes this place and because I am a teacher who cant afford a $80+ at a higher rated salon, I decided to take my chances with their $48 new-customer massage price.I called to get a deep tissue massage since I have been struggling with severe lower back and thigh pain due to Piriformis Syndrome, SI Joint dysfunction, and instability. The receptionist said that for $10 extra, I can get the aromatherapy or hot stone add on (so, $58). I said sure lets do aromatherapy with the deep tissue. I get to the salon and confirm that I am getting a deep tissue massage. The receptionist goes back and discusses this with the masseuse, and the receptionist says yes. I go and the massage was alright, but didnt seem very deep tissue. I told the masseuse my pain issues at the beginning and I was surprised at how little attention she was giving to my problem areas. So finally, I asked, So, whats the difference between this and the Swedish Massage? and she says The aromatherapy. And I said, Wait, I asked to get a deep tissue massage... So am I getting a Swedish massage? and she said No, we are just focusing on relaxation....... I was pretty upset, to say the least... I have only had one Swedish massage before, but that was in the Philippines. I didnt know what to expect, but I had a weird feeling that this was not what I planned on paying for. But by the time I asked, it was too late, the massage was almost over.After the massage, I talked to the receptionist and she agreed that I did say that I wanted a deep tissue and here I have the masseuse admitting that that is NOT what she gave me. The receptionist apologizes and tells me to wait a couple minutes for the assistant manager to return. I kept being told she should be back any minute now. 40 minutes goes by, and when she finally returned, the assistant manager said that all she could do was take $10 off and offer me a $30 dollar massage for next time. I told her that there wouldnt be a next time because I just wasted $48 dollars on what I thought was going to be deep tissue massage. To fix their mistake, she wants ME to pay $30 MORE to get a do-over? Absolutely not. So, even though she admitted that there was a mistake on their end and some miscommunication issues, she said that I shouldve communicated to my masseuse earlier in the massage. Which, I understand, but I told her that since I have only gotten one massage in my life, I didnt know that I would need to reconfirm with the masseuse that I was getting a deep tissue massage, ESPECIALLY after the receptionist JUST confirmed it while I was in the lobby waiting for my appointment to begin. The conversation I had with the masseuse at the beginning of the session was about where my pain is.... If I am paying for a deep tissue massage and that is what I made the appointment for, why would I confirm ONCE AGAIN that I am getting a deep tissue massage?I am really disappointed and I feel very foolish for not only going to a place that had bad reviews, but also giving them another hour of my time to fix the situation, only to leave feeling more tense and aggravated than when I arrived. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $30 for a massage somewhere else. If you are disappointed by your service at Massage Luxe, they will expect you to pay another $30 to make you happy, anyway. Dont waste your time.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I’ve called two months in a row to make an appointment for a Brazilian wax and the first month they rescheduled me two different times then cancelled my appointment.... the next month they scheduled me then canceled my appointment again! Very unprofessional and unorganized

I could not get into my normal massage therapist and was having a severe headache/neck ache…enough that I had been to the doctor for muscle relaxers and pretty heavy pain meds. I couldnt handle another night of it so I tried Massage Luxe. My therapist (Jontae) did exactly what I asked her to do and throughout the hour my headache started to subside. By the time I got home, it was completely gone! I havent used any of the meds since. It has been two days since the massage and I still have no head/neck pain. Ill be back to Jontae for sure!!
