I have lived in this community since last year and the office staff is very friendly and they always try to solve my problems they are very patient with me especially Sharon 😊 almost every week I call or go to the office and they always help me thanks for Youre there when I need you, what a wonderful community. come to live here if you want an excellent service.

I moved in for a month, I have to tell them to fix what was damaged many times but they fixed it. I am still waiting for other things to be fixed but I have to understand that it is an old community but it is a very good location with many restaurants and shops around and leasing office they are always willing to help me with everything I need. They are very patient.

If there was any other choice available, nobody would live at this place. The most pathetic office staff. The company has no security in place to safeguard renters PII info, they want renters to pay through debit card or their checking account. They dont want to accept checks. This company is run by LOSERS. It will take one hack and every single office bearer and principal will be sued in court for their earnings because they are not following the best practice. This company is based out of back waters of VA, what does that mean, Total LosersIf there was a rating available lower than 1 star, they will be well deserving of negative star rating.

Excellent apartment complex to live in!very kind and helpful people working in the leasing office.

I can’t believe the upstair tenant wake me up around 2am. They turn on music and talk too loud.... I can hear their step because the apartment was too old. They keep walking around and enjoy their night while I and my daughter can’t sleep. I try forgetting about a terrible year when I stay in here. I hope my contract end soon and let me leave here as soon as possible.

Eliseo is one of the best. He is friendly, polite and very professional. He always takes time to answer my maintenance questions. He is customer oriented and gets the job done in a reasonable time. The whole maintenance staff at West Springfield Terrace, in my opinion, are outstanding people.

I have lived in this community for 8 months and it has been an exceptional experience. The management Henry , staff is wonderful and the maintenance staff is very prompt and thorough. Additionally, this community is very family friendly. There are lots of small children and senior citizens, so it is a quiet community. nice to being able to walk to restaurants and shopping. As long as we are renting locally, this community is where to we choose to stay because it is a breath of fresh air! Job well done, :)

We lived in this community for 5 years. It is very safe and within the walking distance to almost everything someone would need.From day one, we were warmly welcomed by Sharan Kaur, who is the assistant manager at this community, until we left the community for good. Sharan was very friendly and supportive the entire time and provided to us prompt service whenever we needed it. The manager at this community, Henry, is also a nice person. He started working at this community in 2019 and has been prompt and welcoming as well. The maintenance team was also helpful and respectful in their job. We will miss everyone at this community! I lived in this apartments for three years and the place is nice and l used to love this place,but l can’t say the same thing for the staff specially Sharanjit she is a rude lady. No wonder why you see people moving in and out really fast of this apartments. The accountant don’t loose an opportunity to take money from you if the system is down and you are not able to pay your rent online you are going to pay late fee even if is not your fault..and one more thing just wait to you have to move out just get ready to pay $400 for the carpet replacement it doesn’t matter if only has one little stain said everybody pays for it when they move out

Worst customer service! I want in telling them how my credit looked like the lady was like it’s fine just pay the $50 Application fee and you’ll be approved. Even tho I repeated myself 4 times to her about the situation in my credit! She then made me do a money order, she told me even if I don’t get approved I can pay the first month rent! I was ok with that she comes back after 10 min saying you didn’t get approved for the same reason I told her 4 times!Then I Called the manager he said he’ll get my money back she’s not supposed to say that and call me back tomorrow! Never received a call so I called back he’s like I’m not gonna give your money I ask for the lady’s names he didn’t give me her name and he was very rude he hung up the phone on! If I could I wouldn’t even give them a star!!!

Up and coming location. I moved in 7 months ago and was struck by the friendly courteous staff. Ashley, in particular, has always been responsive and helpful in attending to my questions and needs. The recent (last year) transfer of management companies promised updates and improvements and they are working to deliver. The location is SUPERB as it is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and West Springfield High School. The community is clean and safe and monitored by local law enforcement. I look forward to the continued improvement of the property and will revisit to update my rating to 4 and 5 star as Henry works to complete the updates.

Please be aware when you go to this apartments make sure outlets work and cabinets are attached to the wall, closet doors and faucets. I have lived in the apartments for 4 years and my experience was ok. Please be advice when you move out make sure faucets are bleach specially the one from showers. The blinds are not damage. Under sink the sink is clean. This people will charged you a high amount for little things even if you leave your apartment clean how they ask. They always want to get money form you. They are charging over little staff and give you a short time to pay the amount. They already send me to collection like 2 weeks ago and I moved 1 month ago. Please be careful I know this can happen to anyone.

We used to live in 6240 in a two bedroom apartment and now we transfered to 3 bedroom apartment. The property management Henry was very helpful and gave us an excellent customer service. They renewed everything. I am so happy. Very good service.

I had to use the after hours emergency maintenance last night. I got home from a long day of work and noticed that my apartment home was hotter than an oven on Thanksgiving Day. I called the office and left a voicemail. Within minutes i received a call and had the maintenance man at my door. I think he lives on site because boy was he fast, The Flash fast :-) After half an hour or so he told me it was fixed and left. Sure enough my apartment started to cool down within minutes and all was well again. I just want to say and give a huge Thank you. This was a great first experience as i just moved in last month and have enjoyed the community thus far. Neighbors are super friendly and the office staff too. P.s. I cant wait for the pool to open.Keep it up.

Great apartment. Very spacious. Friendly and professional leasing office staff.

We had a wonderful time living at this community. It is very safe and enjoyable. We had a great experience with the community personnel. Sharan has been so nice and supper helpful. The entire team, including the manager, Henry, were responsive whenever we needed for their help. The apartments are clean and free from bugs as they keep them well maintained. The maintenance personnel are also nice and helpful and they know their job very well. We enjoyed our time here. I initially moved here because I was attending GMU back in 2016 and 2017. I was planning to leave after I finished college in 2018, but because we had a wonderful time, we could not let ourselves to move out earlier until we got more kids and had to leave for the sake of space for the kids.

I absolutely love this community. The office staff - Sharan and Ashley are always so helpful and go above and beyond. Patricia always listens and takes care of the tenants. The Maintenance Staff = TOP NOTCH! Clean and friendly environment and a place you can feel safe at.

So after calling the office multiple times and being lied to countless times with empty promises of someone calling me back, I’m left to take matters into my own hands. It’s a shame that people put their hope in you to run a decent complex and the only time you respond is when it’s lease renewal time-how self-serving is that?Last year there was a young couple that was squatting in the stairwell. They did not live here. They were sitting on the front steps, leaving trash which attracted ants, blasting rap music from their cell phones, etc. I called the office to complain a number of times. I was promised it would be checked out and dealt with-nothing at all. Not a single person cares to check it out. Finally, after I called the police a couple of times they came out and found the couple smoking pot in the stairwell-right where I said they were squatting, and made them leave. Fairfax County Police had to take time out from helping real people with real dire emergencies to come over here and do what you wouldn’t do-run them away. You should be ashamed, though I doubt you are.Recently, I called the police and they advised me to also notify the front office because it was a safety issue. There is a strange man(not homeless), hiding out in the dumpster enclosure peering through the fence at people. As instructed, I phoned the complex office and told them, which was met with, “OMGosh, I don’t even know what to do with this information.” Oh, you don’t? Well, for starters you could have sent a flyer out warning your residents to be careful when they visit the dumpster. Once again, “I’ll have someone follow up with you.” That was over a month ago-still waiting on that follow-up call.End of last year, going into the New Year, EVERY FRIDAY night the hallway to my apartment smelled like a marijuana house-the equivalent of a crack house, except it’s weed. The smell is awful and it’s so strong that it seeps into my apartment. I don’t smoke and despise smoke, especially weed. I have called the police several times. They came out and claimed they could not identify where it was coming from. I thought it was a neighbor that suddenly started smoking. Well, the police came out again last Friday night and confirmed it is not a neighbor, it’s people/teenagers hanging out in the stairwell up here smoking weed and drinking beer. It was so bad the cop asked us if we had a chair to prop the door open with the air it out. I called the apartment office Monday of this week. I was told there is a new property manager and he was not there that day, but would call me back the following day. Tuesday, no call. Didn’t expect one considering the previous history of empty promises. Wednesday came. I called to find out why I had not gotten a call and was told the manager was “out to lunch”, but would be back shortly and I was assured I would get a call back. No call. Today is Friday, still no call. The excuse in the past has been that the back stairwell can’t be locked because it’s a fire hazard. So anyone can just come and go via the stairwell. However, someone else on staff said it can be. Who is lying? I have a child and do not want my child exposed to this type of living. Not once in over 2 years of living here have I ever caused any problems. Yet, anytime I call the office for something I’m met with being brushed off and lied to. And by the way, the police spoke to all of us neighbors on this floor and each one has a problem with it. So at this point, I don’t even want a call back. You’ve shown me everything I need to know and I will make sure I let everyone who is considering moving here know as well. This could have been easily resolved had you cared to listen and do your job to uphold the standards of YOUR apartment complex. However, you chose to ignore me and hope I’d just learn to live with it and go away. Sad and pathetic. May you and your families never have to live in the conditions you so blatantly and willingly turn a blind eye to. Now, you go and continue having a good day!

Friendly staff, responsive maintenance, great recent improvments; rent however is high

The property is clean, the area is nice. The apartments are in good condition to be older. They have overall been well-maintained. Sharan and Ashley are very friendly. In an attempt to not be long-winded, the property manager, Patricia has been responsive whenever I have had any issue and while not always the expected or most desired result, she does go out of her way to provide a good level of customer service and interaction. She reaches out promptly, addresses all concerns and empathizes with the residents. This is a nice community and the residents are fortunate that when the management changed over from Home Properties to Harbor Group that it went as smoothly as it did and they retained the original leasing office staff. I have been through a property having a change in management before and the property was ran in the ground. This didnt happen here. I recommend this community to anyone looking to rent an apartment. It is also in an ideal location, next to (walking distance) Whole Foods, Giant, CVS, Walgreens, and many restaurants.

Nothing about that encounter was natural.West Springfield Terrace Apartments.The property is on a pathway, where people take a shortcut, to get to the shopping center. It was dark and I went to toss my trash into the dumpster. The dumpster is fenced in by wooden gates (no locks, just an entrance on both sides) When I got ready to throw the trash in there was a man standing there-just standing right at the opening of the dumpster. He wasn’t looking inside or around. He was just standing there. I was startled- I said, “OMG, you scared me half to death!” He just stood there. Silent, very awkward moment. Then slowly and delayed and very oddly he said, “Well, do not be afraid.” But he didn’t make an effort to move. (Hinting for him to move out of the way). He didn’t say anything. He just slowly walked to the other side of the dumpster and stood. He appeared to be Spanish, dressed in all black, nice down coat and wore glasses. He didn’t appear to be scavenging for anything. Fast forward.Same guy! I saw a man walking up from the path coming in our direction. Didn’t think much of it. Again, it’s a pathway sort of. However, when he came up the stairs from the path he looked around and very slyly slipped into the dumpster enclosure. It was him, again. I was caught off guard and I stopped talking in mid sentence to my son because I literally witnessed the guy walk in there and stand between the wooden gate and stare/peep out-in my direction as if he was watching the lot. Again, he’s not scavenging for anything. He’s there for a completely different reason.This is just to let the neighborhood know what I saw and to be on alert. I think I’m going to call the police and let them know, just so they can have a record of the report. Be safe everyone.This isn’t a safe place- management does nothing to help or create safer environment for all renters. Put up bright lights, signs, locks/ digi-code locks, cameras, fencing.And my client doesn’t like the management being discriminate

I thoroughly enjoy living at West Springfield Terrace and highly recommend the community to anyone in the DC metro area. I have lived at WS Terrace since spring of 2016. My apartment is nice and spacious, and in the time Ive lived here, any maintenance request that I have has been answered promptly and professionally by the maintenance staff. I only have good things to say about the front office in the community. They are always polite, courteous, and professional in resolving any issues I have had. I have also noticed several infrastructure improvements to our parking lot, the pool, and the addition of FIOS to our community since I have lived there. The community is conveniently located near several commuting options, shopping centers, parks, and the newly renovated Springfield Mall. I have a young daughter (10 mo) and I find the community to be very family friendly. My neighbors are very friendly and kind overall. Thats the best thing about WS Terrace: the people and the sense of community. Whenever I arrive back at my apartment, it feels like I am coming home.

West Springfield has great schools and as a Mom of school age children I found it very rewarding. However, when I moved out of the apartment they slapped me with a bill of almost 700 dollars for carpet, stove and other items in the apartment. The bill was outrageous and I felt like I was paying for them to upgrade the apartment that I had moved out of. For example, the carpet was old to begin with and I believe any additional spots were only due to expected wear and tear. They gave me a had time to move out I had to prove that I was being transferred over 30 miles for my job. A condition that was not clearly stated in the least to begin with. The leasing company is not people friendly and as most big corporations are only in it for the money.

The property manager is terribly unprofessional! Very very rude and does NOT qualify for this job!!!If she does not like you ethnically, she wont give you any service.I have filed a compliant to Fairfax County Health Department for her behavior and to get bed bug treatment.Not only that, I filed complaint with DPOR, HUD and my attorney is filing a law suit.All this could have been avoided if she was bit polite and bit professional.The community however is very nice!

Horrible experience. I signed a lease for 1 year (Feb 2016 - Feb 2017) and had to terminate the contract before due to unhealthy living conditions. Not recommended at all. Not a good place to live.
