Ive been taking my old John Deere mower to Richard every year for a tune up since his shop was at the bottom of the Monroe street hill. He always gets it running like a champ and I wouldnt take it anywhere else!

Richard repaired our 19 year old snow blower. He came to our home, picked it up because we do not own a car large enough to bring it to his repair shop. I have a older NOMA snowblower that was purchased from Country Homes Power Supply years ago. It hadnt worked the last 3 years and have spent several hundreds of dollars with other small engine repair shops and they couldnt fix it but did take my money. Richard fixed it in time for the first snow fall and it has been working ever since. Cost was a fraction what I paid at the other shops and he stands behind his work. Hard to find honest and reliable shop owners who take pride in their work and value their customers. Richard has my highest recommendation to anyone needing work on their small engine equipment. Seriously, the best experience. I was unable to drop my mower off and they picked it up for me, repaired it for less than I was quoted, and they dropped it off. It took 3 days, as they were a little backed up. But they quoted me a week out. To me it was under promise over deliver all the way! Thats how you make customers happy. Ive never been so excited to mow my lawn!!

I inherited an older (maybe 10 or 15 years old) Yard Machines lawn tractor from my grandmother, and it stopped working a couple weeks ago. I called Spokane Small Engine Repair to make an appointment, and the man on the phone told me to just bring it in. So today, I spent a significant portion of my day getting the mower to Spokane Small Engine Repair--I had to purchase truck ramps, then wait for my brother to come into town to help me load and secure the mower, then I drove over half an hour to this place of business. When I got there, however, the guy took one look at my mower and refused to work on it because it was too old and he hates that brand and those engines and they can take too long to fix, and sometimes cant be fixed, which is a waste of his time. When I called earlier this week to ask about bringing it in to him, it never occured to me to tell him what brand my mower is, because their website states in at least three places that they work on any brand. Instead, he made a call to some guy down the street who likes to tinker with mowers and would be willing to help me, handed me his address scribbled on a sticky note, and sent me on my way. I found the whole encounter to be extemely unprofessional.First, if you do not, in fact, work on all brands of mowers, then do not state on your website that you do. That is called false advertising, and you end up wasting peoples time and effort.Second, he didnt even look at it to determine if it was fixable or not. He turned me away based on the brand and age of the mower without showing the slightest inclination to at least assess the problem first.Third, I dont care how nice he said this other mower tinkerer is, I am not going to go to some strangers home with no information to go on about his level of service, his quality, his professionalism, his pricing, not even his name to make an informed decision with. He also claimed he didnt know of any other place in town who works on mowers like mine, which seems odd considering I called someone else 15 minutes later who agreed to work on my machine without any qualms.If you dont have a popular brand mower that is easy to work on, I suggest you try someplace else. This establishment doesnt seem interested in working on small engines that might take a little more time and effort.

I had a snowblower that wasnt running, it was in really bad shape and so I took it in. The owner said that it would be a few days so I thought that was reasonable. He called me a day or so later telling me that it might be just a little longer because he had to order parts, I told him thank you because the snowblower had not been running for years, he said that he found that out. He called me when it was done and I went to pick it up. He has very reasonable rates, I thought it was going to cost a fortune but it didnt. He was so nice. I will be back in the spring.

He looked at my lawn mower and said the blade needed replaced and it would be 10 days before I would get my lawnmower back. After 10 days I had my daughter pick it up as I was at work and when I got home looked at it and saw that he did not replace the blade and just sharpened it. I called him and he said he never said he would replace it, my daughter and I both heard him say he would when we dropped it and he said the lawnmower was not running, which is was. This was an expensive $70 lesson and Ill tell you like I told him, I will never do business there again.

Horrible Service!!! More intersted in talking than working. Went back three times, to pick up. After two weeks, picked up unrepaired mower. Also, trashes other customers. Calling them, b*^#hes, MF and anything that he can think of. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!

My mower wouldnt re-start after initial start up. Took it in and a couple days later picked it up after he said he changed the spark plug ( I had installed a new one hours before taking it to Richard), said he cleaned the carb, sharpened the blade and gave it a general tune up. Took it home and it still didnt work. He kept suggesting I was doing something wrong. Long story short, took it back to Richard two more times and was told all was well. Said he even changed the coil. Still, wouldnt work...had the same problems as the very first time I took it to Richard. Finally took it to another small engine repair shop, paid another $86 but at least these guys fixed the problem. Will never take anything to Richard for repair or maintenance again.

When you do a google search for leaf blower repair, this business will come up. However I was told they do not repair leaf blowers, weed eaters, etc. seems they do not repair all small engines.
