I have always been able to count on prompt and diligent service, expert advice and steadfast results. Belsby Engineering’s staff has always been professional and worked to create designs that satisfy regulatory agencies and the landowner’s needs. We contracted through Duane for a northerly line to be shot and marked every 50 feet. We had corner markers but wanted to confirm the NW corner was in the correct place. Our contract said there may be up to 1 hour of office time charged and up to 4 hours of the surveyor in the field and drive time and mileage from their office. We wanted to meet the surveyor at the property to show him corners and reduce the time he would be there and were told 8-8:30 he would arrive - my husband was there at 8 and Ken the surveyor was there. Duane had said it took 15-20 min. for them to get set up. His equipment was up and it appeared he had just started looking for the first corner. At 9:14 Ken used my husbands phone to call the office to say that the prior survey appeared flawed and there was nothing he could do unless we wanted them to survey the whole 16 lot development over again. My husband cancelled the job on the spot. Ken packed up and left. Btw when you map search the distance between the office and this job it is apprx. 31 miles. Our bill comes - 1/2 hour in the office prior to the job, 1/2 hour in the office the day after the job and 5.5 hours of field work and drive time and 39.5 miles drive each way. We called and talked to Duane who argued that his guy MUST have gotten there about 7 AM and with the drive time, it was 5.5 hours total. (Btw - drive time is 45 min. each way - 1.5 hours and Ken was only in the field apprx. 1.5-2 hours maximum. The 1/2 hour charge AFTER the job was cancelled, the mileage and the field time were all padded upward. They did reduce the field time to 4.5 hours which was still an hour+ over and they would not deduct the 1/2 hour office charge after the job was cancelled. They did not correct the distance. In the end we got nothing - no line was shot, no line was marked and we were overcharged. Not happy in Deer Park!

I worked with this Engineering firm. They did what they could on a job in almira with the contractor but as a Engineering firm Representing the city, I am very Displeased with the out come. We Ended Paying out $1500 to do a job for the contractor and I feel the Engineering company Should of Represented the City of Almira Washington a lot Better. Belsby Engineering and General Industries, Inc. Tarnished the Reputation of the City of Almira Washington state. I Personally do not recommend working with a Company with Only their Self in mind. Contractors Beware.

Belsby engineering was able to get gravity-fed sewer in a location where other said it wasnt possible great job guys thank you so much.

Belsby Engineering supported our project by pre-engineering the entire site utility and grading design. By the time the building pad development occurred, the design team and owner already had all the unknowns answered. Belsbys continued support with existing clients and new leads, along with random occasional personal visits just to check in, provide both mutual awareness of potential work and personal connection. Its great to hear about your consultants fishing trips and adventures from the small town they grew up in.

Ive worked with Belsby Engineering for well over 10 years now. From my experience they try to produce quality work whether its for an individual project or a large municipal project.

The Town of Spangle was searching for an engineering firm to assist us in the street projects needed for Spangle. Our Mayor at the time had worked with Belsby on projects for another town and was impressed with their work. Belsby Engineering has been very attentive to our needs as a small town. They have been on time and very thorough in their project work. They have worked with the Transportation Improvement Board and the Town to complete three CDBG and TIB projects with complete satisfaction.
