Just bought a brand new 2019 ford and got an oil change and then they said I needed brakes which would cost 700 dollars!!!! Its a brand new car we havent had it for more then 2 months. Be careful with these people.

This place is definitely the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. I don’t trust many mechanics, but Danny and his crew are amazing. He will listen to your issue and start there and he will let you know if that is the issue or if it’s something else. He will also give you an estimate and not the run around. Very trustworthy and they take care of their customers to make things right. If you ever need a great honest place to take your vehicle, then look no more! Dr. Automotive is where it’s at!

Danny is always fair and honest with pricing and the work being done. I have used them for 2 major repairs and both were completed timely, and at a lower cost than originally quoted (since labor was less or found additional parts not needed after all). A friend had the same repair done on her vehicle as I just had done on mine...she went somewhere else and was charged over $200 more. I will always come back to Danny & Dr. Automotive.

They overcharge!! Also just to look at my vehicle it cost $102.00 dollars. I had no other transportation and they literally took ALL day to check my vehicle out. I had to call them at 3:00 to see if it had been looked at. They said no. It was pointless to go here. Never again.

I was in town from another state, had a massive breakdown. I was told everything I needed to know and everyone I dealt with there left me feeling confident that I had sought out the right place. It was an extensive and major job and I am glad I went there.

I called Danny several times to try and get a price on my catalytic converter and must have been busy because he never let me know anything just gave me a ballpark. That’s it, didn’t tell me to bring it in on a certain day for repair or anything. So I went to Dans Auto Repair on South Lowry, and he was fairly priced and had a same day turnaround! New catalytic converter and exhaust manifold!

Everyone at Dr Automotive is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. they will not suggest you need something if your vehicle does not. Their communication with you its always very clear. If you are looking for a trusted mechanic then Dr Automotive is the place to go.

Called to get a quote on a repair and was told that they just wouldn’t be “interested” in helping me or working on my car because it’s older. Regardless if you could or couldn’t, the willingness to help was not there at all. Could have gave me an option or even offered to look at it! Felt completely blown off and pushed aside just from a phone call, can’t imagine what there customer service is like in person.

I felt more comfortable getting my car fixed here when Dr Automotive is literally wearing DR uniform and knows whats wrong & got the parts fast instead of the other place that just wanted to tow our car because they didnt want to work that day but showed up late for work. This place is an absolute joke. Went for brake repair and an oil change. Got the truck back after I was quoted at $1,200. The oil change broke my oil filter and luckily I didnt blow the engine when I left. Every bit of oil leaked out of the car and when I called and told Danny, he told me to put oil in it and drive it back. Like seriously, who would do that? I found another mechanic to do the work as well as fixing their mistakes for $600. I dont often leave reviews, but I just want to save someone else the time and money. Dont go there. Please, dont do it.

These people should be sued. My fiances engine almost seized up due to their failure to PUT A FILTER ON PROPERLY! Im so baffled! I will upload the pictures of an oil trail going from our DRIVEWAY all the way to I24. This is a 3 mile trip and you can follow it with ease. How is this place still in business? This is not just poor work but could have been potentially dangerous for my fiance and is bad for the environment.

I needed brakes and the folks at Dr. Automotive in Smyrna (Danny and his team) put on new brakes and I avoided the cost of new roters because they were able to machine them back to new. I added on an oil change and the cost was still 40% less than what a larger chain had quoted almost a year ago. This chain told me I needed brakes 10 months ago when I didnt at that point. Ill be going back to the Dr. Automotive team and highly recommend them.

They were once a good place to go, now i wont even let them do an oil change.Way over priced, with vehicles still broken after having them repaired the day before.Was a loyal customer for several years, but not anymore.

These guys were doing good work until I had to have rear differential replaced in my vehicle. Received the vehicle and later found that fluid was leaking from the rear. It caused my wheels to lock up. Had the vehicle towed in and they asked me if someone had been tampering with my rear differential. I dont have enemies and if i did, who in heck would think as far as to say, well let me cause her rear differential to leak fluid, thatll teach her...NO , what happened was that the owner took time off and the workers slacked. Danny is a nice guy, thats a given, but even after i took it back, the damage was done, it constantly makes noise and it hasnt been right since. . I have since had other mechanics tell me that i need to get it replaced again and i have had to put another 2000 into the truck to get that done. Sometimes folks just dont do good work unless supervised.

I was sure my SUV needed a new water pump, and knew it wouldnt be cheap. These guys found that it was actually a belt and cost me much less. I am so pleased.

After leaving my pickup there for 4 days to get a diagnosis and estimate for a couple of issues, I was called and told they looked at the clutch and did not know why it was releasing slowly. I asked what they could tell me about the engine miss and Service Engine code. Danny replied they had not even looked at that. For the privilege of waiting a week and still not finding out what was wrong with my truck, I was charged over $48.00 as an estimate.I am very disappointed with the (lack of) service I received and the cost for not receiving it.RECOMMENDATION: Look elsewhere for auto repair and service.

I had a horrible experience here! I called this place because my radiator had a leak in it. Once my car was brought in (by a tow service they supposedly worked closely with), I got a call saying I needed a new radiator and it would cost a little over $500. I agreed to the service and was told my car would be ready for pickup the next day. When I went to pick my car up, the owner pulled my car from the back and smoke was everywhere!!!!!! Also my car cut off as soon as he pulled it to the front of the building!! When he tried to turn it back on, it kept turning over and over and over again. I asked the owner why my car was smoking and he said it would eventually go away. I was about to ask him about the car turning off, but he hopped into his truck and drove off! I tried to drive the car, but there was so much smoke the person trailing me could not even see! I turned around to take the car back and it cut off before I even got down the street!!! When I asked the owner what could be done, he told me it was not their fault and I would have to get it looked at for additional costs of course! My car is still parked on the side of the road! I must now get it scrapped for parts!! I gave these people $522 just to ruin my only source of transportation!

Avoid them at all costs! My mother brought her car here to find out what was wrong with it. She was looking to sell her car, and not wanting to put more than $200 into it. They called her the next day, stating that they had already put $300 worth of diagnostic work into it, and it would cost more to get it fixed. They never let her know that they were going over budget, or else she wouldnt have approved that dollar amount. She had them fix the issue, so she could get her car back. We will never go here again! Poor ethics and bad business.

Fixed my hub bearings and it was 100$ cheaper than firestone. its been 2 weeks and no problems seems to be in perfect condition.
