Its clear that Computer Drives focus is on making money at the expense of the customer rather than by providing quality service at a fair price.I had a hardware issue that they initially fixed but broke 2 months later. They were not willing to help other than by charging the full price to replace a defective part that they installed in my computer.I do not recommend using their services. It will cost you more and youll have an all-around poor experience.

This is the worst computer repair service I have ever received. DO Not use them! Read the reviews first. I brought my PC under warranty and when I picked it up ( after a month) I was getting EROOR code. Brought it back and they fixed the Error code in a day but then when I went home my Keyboard and mouse werent working. WASTE of time!!!!!

Went there with my grandmother for help with her old tablet. The person I spoke to went to go get the manager and when he came back he eyed my grandmother up and down, released his fangs, and attacked her at full speed. Then proceeded to rob her of her undergarments. Not her money, her undergarments. They fixed her tablet though.

Ive used Computer Drive for work and my personal computers. They do a great job fixing our Lenovo computers and HP Printers.Price is fair and they know what they are doing.

I took my brand new computer to get a back up of my files due to a software issue. In order to open the computer they were lazy to lose few scorers and open back panel of the computer instead broke the inside gripping latch on the top side of computer’s side panel and also broke the cover of drawer of the disk drive. When I went to pick up; First they made me to sign for their performed job and I thought they are honest and no issue signing it. But when I came out on the sidewalk waking to my car noticed the lose and broken part and immediately returned and ask them to give me a writing to acknowledge the damage done on my computer by them. He easily accepted and start writing and printed it and gave it to me. Again I came out and in my car I read his note and got mad at that much of dishonesty and returned again, he was claiming in writing that they are returning the computer as it was; I did returned to the shop and after telling them they are not a decent and honest, I had to call police. Police tells me they did not committed a crime, but my computer is damaged and broken! I don’t recommend this place!

Really great group of people. Had to bring my rig in after spilling some Malört on it by accident. They helped me to recover the data I thought would be lost forever. Will definitely be coming back here next time this happens!

My external hard drive died and had my important pictures on it. These guys recovered everything and properly helped to setup a new backup solution to avoid this from happening again. Forever greatful!

I originally was very happy with this service, but that is because I am not enough of a computer guy. I paid them over $700 to fix my computer. It worked but because its an Apple some things had glitches. It was a long time before I took it in to a store because I just thought it was software and could live with it. I finally found out the problem was with Computer Drives work. Now they will not do a very simple fix that costs them nothing but 5 minutes of their time. Well, they will do it, for a charge. JUST BEWARE. They utilize their esoteric knowledge to place a customer at a disadvantage. On the positive side the hardware they put in is still working great 2 years later. They just never serialized it. Oh in the end their repair was the same as the mac store quote, even though I thought I could save a few bucks. I will ALWAYS use the Mac store from now on.

Last week I went to Computer drive in Skokie for repair my laptop . It was under warranty.with Levono . Technician check me right way and listen my problem and promise me he will contact me by Monday. I was impress he call me Monday Morning and told me my laptop is ready to go and pick up my end of the day. I really like their efficiency and prompt service.

I have been using Computer Drive for the last few years, and they have been extremely professional, helpful in both knowledge and price. There is no need to go to the Big Box stores as they can also special order for you. They always strive to find the right solution. It is so nice to find a store today that has quality customer service and the knowledge to back it up.

I had a Lenovo under warranty and was referred out to Computer drive by Lenovo support.After 2 weeks of calling in and trying to line up a time to have the keyboard replaced (I had explained several times I couldn’t drop it off since I use it M-F for work), only once I brought in the computer in did they mention any additional charge related to having it replaced. Seems like the kind of thing that could have been mentioned on one of the several calls I had with them. Poor customer support all in all - ended ordering the keyboard covered by warranty from Lenovo and swapping it out myself.

I had problem with my Lenovo laptop fan malfuction. My computer was under warranty so I found Computer Drive was closest warranty repair location to me. They confirmed that fan was problem and ordered part right away. It arrived in two days and Mike the owner fixed it immediately when the part arrived and called me to let me know. I was leaving that day for vacation so he fixed it right away. Was very impressed by his son who helped me when I picked it up - he had just graduated from the University of Illinois. As under warranty no charge for repair. Very impressed with Computer Drive. Highly recommended.

Had my laptop of five years crash on me, and after realizing I couldnt fix it myself, I took it to computer drive to at least retrieve the data that was on it. The staff here was accommodating and was able to fully resolve the issue promptly.

Customer service does not exists. I work for an IT company we dont do break fix repair and went to this shop. Worst part is we used this shop at my old company a bunch of times and service was always great. This time they decided do nothing. Laptop is still having an issue.Employees always have to push everything to management. Management is always in a meeting. Not sure about what but I hope the meeting is about how they can improve customer service.The amount of time and effort that is spent dealing with these people is beyond a waste. At this point calling the manufacturer or just getting a new one is better then ever stepping foot back into this building.

These guys are great. Have had all work on my own computer and printer repair done by them for the past 8 or 9 years and recommended them to several friends, with positive experiences all around.

They tried charging me for work that I did not need. When I said it was too expensive for me they offered me a cheaper fix right away so I wouldnt leave.When I wanted to buy my own parts on eBay because they were less than half the price that they were charging me, they were very impatient with me. When the parts came, they said they werent able to install them even though there was nothing wrong with them.Finally, when I came around with polite concerns, I was even smiling, one of them lost it and actually yelled at me over the counter and called me a liar. Ive never been treated this badly before as a paying customer in all my life.

Finally found ourtech guy. Amin came to the rescue with barely any notice. Provided very quick turnaround and great service. Highly recommend.

FINDING A GOOD I.T. GUY IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE THESE DAYS. Thanks to Computer Drive we can run our business smoothly and efficiently. If we ever have any issues our amazing I.T. guy from Computer Drive (Amin) comes to the rescue or does his best to help us solve any issue that has arised that is technical with our computers, softwares, printers, etc. Computer Drive is filled with a very knowledgeable staff and I am happy with our choice on hiring them for our firm.

Horrible service. I gave them a working PC to fix a minor problem, and after weeks of avoiding calls and making excuses they respond by saying it’s not fixable. What’s even more frustrating is that they broke the computer even more and returned it completely unusable, and said we gave it to them broken. The owner is a horrible person who hustles you for money and uses his knowledge against you. The only thing they’re good at doing is making excuses and hustling people for money while ruining the product even more. I would not recommend at all and advise against this place at all costs.

A couple weeks ago, I brought in my ThinkServer because it wouldnt boot up and I was worried about losing my data. I called them and Amin answered, After i explained my problem and told him it was urgent he suggested I brought it in. After he diagnosed and repaired it he charged me a reasonable price for such a short notice and demand. Great customer service over all.

I had a computer tower that was running super slow and couldn’t figure out why. I brought it over here and they fixed it in a day and charged $75 less than the other repair shops.

Computer Drive has been our go-to computer solution option for many years. They have helped our office computers with virus removal and hardware issues. They are professional, proficient, and warm. I have never felt rushed and they are always willing to answer any questions in laymans terms. They are not the least expensive option out there (or the most expensive) but who wants to use a cut rate service for something as important as your computer. When they fix your machine, its fixed. Ill gladly pay for their time and expertise knowing they do high quality work.They treat people like true customers and not numbers.

Remember that customer service is as important, if not more important, than the work you do. Good lesson to live by.

I have over 100 reviews and this is the first ONE STAR. DO NOT STEP FOOT in this place. They took $50 down for $100 repair (I am never putting a deposit again). We got a call and were told the headsets were fixed. I try them on, do not work. So he starts getting technical on what the problem is, and asks for an additional $170 to repair then (the supposedly repairs headset) when originally I paid $180 (new). Long story short and after the owner or manager (not sure) was screaming/cursing/threatening me (but he was calling me sir during this process, funny right?) I called the police. He would not call the police when I asked him but did threaten to have me arrested..... When the police came, they told him that it was a civil matter, that he had to give me the headsets back and I didnt have to sign anything (if I did sign their release form I would actually owe then another $50, sneaky little b....), thanked the Skokie Police Officers (nice guys) and left. Some lines he used on me: me: please dont scream at me (I always kept calm) manager: this is my store and I can scream if I want. If you dont sing this release form I will have you arranged, its the law. (Police set him straight on that one). If you dont leave I will lock you in, set the alarm, and have the police arrest you for traspasing.Bottom line, once he saw he could not get additional money ($170), he wanted me to sign the form to give me the head sets, and then I would owe him an additional $50...... once he saw I would not pay, not sign, he wanted to keep headsets and have me leave. Worse experience in a long time.

Quoted me $75 - $150 to boot from an HDD to look at the files inside it. Hah, funny!
