Took my kids in for a cut and a small amount of color. Both stylists did a nice job with the cuts. We were told by the first stylist that it was a semi permanent color and the only instructions we were given was to use cool water when rinsing to prolong the color. After 3 days (1 hair wash for each kid) it has completely faded. When I called to ask if this was normal, the lady on the phone said they actually used a temporary dye that typically lasts 4-6 weeks and that it would have lasted longer if they would have used a different shampoo. Would have been nice to have clear communications and instructions at the time so I didn’t have 2 disappointed kids as well as being out the money.

I traveled from Brookings to Sioux Falls for a full foil and haircut. I left the salon happy with how it looked, but a couple of days later it was an absolute nightmare. The color was orange and streaky. I was so disappointed and did not want to waste more money driving back down to Sioux Falls, so I got it fixed in Brookings. The stylist I saw in Brookings informed me that I did not receive a full foil, which made me even more upset because I was charged for one. The highlights were badly placed, and there was absolutely no blonde in the back of my hair. I reached out to Atoley about the incident and included pictures of my hair before it was fixed. They offered to refund me the difference between a full and partial foil, which is $10. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on gas for a service that I did not book, and especially my time. I would not have driven down to Sioux Falls for a partial foil. The pictures I attached are from before I got my hair fixed in Brookings. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

My stylist was very friendly but didnt really listen to what I asked for. I initially requested a deep condition, trim on ends and fringe bang trim. I didnt get a deep condition and ended up with five inches of hair cut off. I also had to remind her to cut my bangs at the end. Im not necessarily unsatisfied with the end result (except for the initial shock of FIVE inches gone), but am feeling pretty disappointed by the experience.

I had my hair styled and make up done prior to my engagement photos and Kaci and Morgan did a wonderful job honoring my requests and helping me achieve my vision. They were so sweet and easy to talk to. The environment is great -- nice big windows in the front to let in natural light and clean, sleek decor and work stations. I would definitely recommend utilizing Atoley for any of their services!

I have had great experiences at Atoley Salon & Spa. Everybody is friendly and welcoming. The salon is neat and clean. My hairstylist is Tianna and she is amazing! She listens to me and gives me feedback of what would be best for my hair. She explains what she is doing and is very knowledgeable. I would 100% recommended her!!

Awesome place! They exceeded my expectations! Hair color, cut and styled my hair. Very sanitary and trying to make sure the customers are safe with social distancing and using sanitizer and disinfecting equipment and areas.

Ive had my hair cut /colored here and just got my first mani too from this place. Shaylee did my hair last time, she does a great job and months later (when i should be going back in) still getting compliments on my highlights. I got a mani there yesterday and Anna is great! My nails look amazing and she was personable and fun. Will definitely be going back for services in the future.

My hair length was all the way down to my hips! Had looooong hair over 3 years. Getting a Bob was risky, especially when I have tick hair but my stylist, Tianna, made the impossible possible! I and my entire family LOVE my new look! I highly recommend Atoley. The look on my boyfriend’s face was priceless!

I got my hair colored a fantasy pink ombre and after 2 weeks the Loreal dye has almost completely come out. Ive been using Loreal color extending shampoo and using dry shampoo and doing everything the colorist advised and its just not lasting for what I paid. Add day of dye and 2 weeks later pics

Went to Tianna for a haircut and balayage. It was the first time getting any color in my hair and she completely botched the color and cut. My hair is super uneven and choppy and the coloring is so streaky and unnatural. I regret ever coloring my hair. Ill never go back again. Plus I was charged the full amount ($200) even though she had to leave before she could finish all the services (dry and style). They refused to refund because I had a wedding the next day and had to travel to another city to fix my hair and spend another $200. AVOID.

I’m loving my new summer cut - we chopped off a few inches and added some short layers in :) I never go WILD with my hair, but it feels so good to have a change sometimes, even if it’s just length or cut. So I appreciate how Tianna worked with my Pinterest photos and poorly worded ideas to help my hair take on a new little life! I feel spunky and sweet, and I’m so pumped about this new ‘do. Thank you, Tianna!

I was so happy we decided on this salon for our hair and makeup on my wedding day. We had such a wonderful experience with all the stylists and loved the work they did. The only complaint I would make is that my hair didnt stay curled for very long and being the bride, it was pretty upsetting. The day was hot, humid and slightly rainy but within 2 hours my hair was pretty flat. Otherwise, everyone did a great job accomplishing the look each of us wanted and they completed everything fairly fast.

I hired Atoley Salon & Spa to come to the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown on our wedding day and do hair & makeup for myself & my bridal party. They were on time, on pace, and so much fun to get ready with. All of the women are super personable and make the getting ready process stress free. I started going here after they did the hair and makeup for a wedding I was in. All of the ladies are super sweet and do excellent work. The atmosphere is really laid-back and warm. I’m excited to see their expansion later this year!CJ gave me a fantastic undercut last time I was in!

This is a nice salon, In nail area not a lot of room. I understand aesthetics of chairs, sinks for pedicures. Uncomfortable to sit. The atmosphere is quiet.

I bring my daughter here to see Shaylee and will continue to do so. The place is very nice and upscale looking. Staff all seemed to enjoy their time with clients. Shaylee is fantastic and made sure my daughter got exactly what she was looking for.

I went in for the first time, needing a trim. The staff was friendly. When I got home after the haircut, I found it to be extremely choppy, which was not my end goal. There hairdresser didn’t show me the back of my haircut on the appointment, so I hadn’t noticed it before. I called them back and told them the haircut was choppy and the layers not blended. I had one long layer, and then a thick shorter layer. They apologized and I got in the next day for it to be fixed. They made it better but I am still not happy with the cut. I appreciate that they tried to make it right, but just was not happy with the result.

I like going here for haircuts. The ladies are very nice and welcoming. Id recommend this salon for ladies or gentlemen. The price is a bit high, but...as is said, you get what you pay for. As such, I dont mind it. Furthmore, my haircuts are always top shelf..and I know my dollars support a LOCAL business, not some big chain that is not local.Another PLUS, they are accommodating to my electric wheelchair ! I get to stay in it while the stylist does her thing !

I recently moved back to Sioux Falls and was looking for a stylist in the downtown area near where I live and work.I had already heard multiple positive references for Atoley Salon and figured I could give it a shot.This was hands down the best haircut experience Ive had - ever. Not only was Jodi able to take my unhelpful guidance of Im not really sure what I want..., she was able to take my personal style and turn it into a fantastic cut and color.For many things Ill sometimes cruise Groupon or wait for a special, but this was a great reminder that you get what you pay for. I got a strong styling experience that was truly confidence inspiring. I will definitely be back.I also love the fact that I can schedule my appointment online. Huge bonus for me and my sometimes crazy schedule!
