DO NOT do business with this company. Took my sons cell phone in because it would not power up. Got a call in about an hour stating that it was a bad battery. Had them replace the battery. Took the phone home and it shut down and would not power up again. Took it back to the store and they worked on it again and called me and said it was another problem and that it would not be cost effective to repair. I expected a refund for the battery, which was $170 Was told it was (store policy) not to offer refunds. Even though their original diagnosis of a bad battery was not correct. I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone. What a horrible way to conduct business. STAY AWAY

These guys are the most patient repair people I have met so far since I moved here 2 months ago!! I was borderline hysterical when my phone just suddenly went black. No amount of charging would bring it back. The person took my phone and did a little tweek and it came right back. I was so relieved when I found out I wasnt going to have to buy a new phone!! Took my phone in today. minor crack but it was on the front facing camera so wanted to get my screen replaced as my pictures were blurry due to the crack. before i continue let me make this clear, there was NOTHING WRONG with my phone besides the crack on the front camera and my back camera didn’t work bc of how i dropped it, $300 for just the front screen and an additional $200 for the back camera that i declined. i come back an hour and a half later to pick up my phone, and the first thing they say is “we noticed there was a bend in ur phone that can cause major issues in the future.” this was not there before i brought it in. they slapped a new screen on, out of place on one corner, and now my front camera isn’t blurry, but will have a black screen for 5-10 seconds before i can see myself, which was also not an issue until after i brought it in. phone is more broke than it was before i even brought it in. horrible, horrible place. never come here.

This is my first time working with them, I was looking for a phone that would do something very specific. The owner was there right at opening and spent allot of time with me explaining different things about carriers, phones and how the different codings worked and would allow me to do what I needed to do. This is NOT a cookie cutter, heres the same thing you get everywhere kind of place. He worked to find a solution to what I needed, Tested it for a couple hours with his guys. Great customer service, great information and no pressure to buy. I would recommend visiting the cell phone guy to see if they can help you out.

Where do I begin to tell you about the service that we received. Our internet went down and called Tyler and he was out in less than an hour and hooked us up with a hot spot and got our back office computers up and running. I am so thankful for people like Tyler because the service we received was phenomenal. I am telling you if you need any help with cell service or a hot spot this is the place to go HANDS DOWN!!! So I take my phone here because I have important data that I need from it. It turns on but nothing is on the screen because its shattered. They want $150 to put a screen which is more than the phone is worth but I need the data. I get it back with a new screen but it wont turn on. He says they would have to do diagnostics for $50. Dont take your phone to these people. They are overpriced and incompetent. It turns out the phone was completely dead and it will power on. Just nothing on the screen. Worse than incompetent. Practically criminal.

Hands down the best company to go to. I went to CPR and got overcharged for a iPhone screen replacement. The LCD went out about a week later and they would not help me. So I went to the cell phone guy and got great service and a cheaper price.

Fixed my cell phone screen in less than 20 minutes with quality parts and fine technical ability. The price is a little high but everyone else in town was higher. They told me they offer price matching and same day service. If you want quality service, I recommend using The Cell Phone Guy.

Almost $300 to fix my screen. First replacement was faulty, so I had to go in to get it replaced again. Second replacement wasn’t even put in right; it was popping out in the corner and the touch didn’t work very well. I went in once again and they said it would be $75 to fix their mistake. WARNING. Consider this a 0 star review. Went in 11/14 to buy a new phone after my old phones battery finally reached the end of its life. Im not a huge phone guy and dont keep up with prices or what the latest phones are so I was relying on a local business to be honest and fair when selling me a new phone.I paid $450 for a used Google pixel 2 that had some scratches on the screen. Not even a half hour later when I got home and was going to purchase a case I noticed that every single pixel 2 from ANY other store was considerably less.. like $300 less! Not to mention I couldve gone to best buy across the street and bought a brand new pixel 4a for $360, $100 LESS for a newer phone!I called their store to ask why the phone I got from them was so much more expensive compared to anywhere else and the associate just said well the owner sets the prices so I dont know and offered to have the owner call me 11/16.I have not received any call from the owner.The store has a no money back, no return policy and doesnt make you aware of it until after you make a purchase.An absolute abomination of a business.

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR ELECTRONIC NEEDS. Best customer service I have had for a long time, and I work in customer service! The guys here are so nice. I went in to their shop today, frustrated beyond belief because my phone was locking itself and I could barely use it at all. I went to another company, paid for a diagnostics, left it for three hours, and they couldnt fix what was wrong. Eric at cell phone guy was so nice, he said he wasnt even the phone guy, he was the computer guy, but he still helped me until he got it fixed. He stayed half an hour after they were supposed to be closed, to make sure all my files were saved onto their work computer, so we could factory reset my phone. All it took was me letting him reset it, but I was so worried about losing my data that I was about to just buy a new phone. Instead of just making the sale, he helped me save all my pictures and contacts, dealing with a one min before lockout on my phone for an hour, to make sure i was comfortable with resetting it. And to top it off, he did it for free. Acted like it was nothing, and since my screen protector was cracked, advised me of a better one, and told me if I bought that, no charge. You dont find service like these guys anymore. They were nice, helpful, and just overall so darn good. I would/will be recommending them to any and everyone, and if Im ever needing repairs again, I wont even bother looking anywhere else. Thanks again Eric and other employees at The Cell Phone Guy!

I went in to have an I phone screen repaired on a kids phone and the quote seemed high. $ 230 for an I phone 6. So I decided to wait and price them out. I needed a battery on an Iphone7 and just told them to do it without asking the price, thinking they would be ball park with other phone repair business.After being billed $170 for the labor and battery I called around for estimates at other shops. Cell Phone Guy was about double what the other shops charged, and about triple what Batteries Plus would charge for the services and parts on either phone. If you want to feel like you got overcharged go to the Cell Phone Guy.

Best iPhone and Samsung repair ever!

They were $40 more expensive for the same service of screen repair as the people across the street. When I asked about the price difference all of sudden they were willing to match. Also low balled me on the trade in value of phone and quickly went up $10 after I said that’s way to low. I would not trust “The Cell Phone Guy” as they are living up to their name.

Tried to sell brand new unlocked LG STYLO 6 phone $350 phone and they offered $50. If I wanted to pawn it, $50 and buy it back for $109 ..... No joke.

My husband brought his phone in the have the charging port replaced. He just picked it up today - almost 2 weeks later. There is absolutely no difference between the way the phone was charging before and how it changes now. When he went to pick it up, they had not charged it! They had no idea whether it works or not. I would not recommend this business.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. There’s other places in town that are cheaper and know what they’re doing. My mom has already gone in 3 times due to her phone not working after they “fixed it.” Her phone has frozen more than it’s worked in the last 2 days and her earpiece went out at one point. Tonight, she has no phone because it’s frozen AGAIN and has to wait until they open tomorrow at 10:30.Also, when they quote you over the phone, they don’t include the $60 labor fee and $10 protection fee that they add to the bill. Pretty good place. I somehow broke the glass that covers the camera on my S10+. They gave me a quote and had it fixed in 2 hours. Only downfall was the replacement was pink instead of silver, I would have preferd to have been informed of that prior to the repair being completed.

CROOKS!!!!!!This place had bad vibes the moment I walked in and interacted with Luke (Management!). Long story, short, after possible water exposure, I went over the top purchasing gimmick diagnostic, “water sealant”, and a new battery (which was faulty immediately).... They charged for every little thing, even diagnostics. After spending close to 300 dollars here on all this plus a screen protector (which came unglued weeks later) my phone started acting up similarly only 3 months later! They wouldn’t even look at it without charging a diagnostic and refused to guarantee anything (since the phone had possible water damage). I left there and went to another local repair company. When they opened up the phone, they were horrified at the work that was done. A poor quality battery, incorrectly installed (no adhesive), and no water sealant was ever placed (even though I paid for this work). Also, the water indicator (I didn’t even know it was a thing) showed NO WATER DAMAGE EVER, so for The Cell Phone Guy to recommend I spend the amount of money I did when the phone DIDN’T NEED IT, is dishonest and unethical. STAY AWAY from this company!!!! CROOKS!!!!!!!!!

Went in to get a new screen due to a dead spot on it and a new charger port.paid 360 for it and when I got it back my screen was glitchy.couple months later went in for a cracked screen repair and paid 318 for that with a liquid glass screen protector.ever since I got it fixed this time my Siri won’t work,and my camera doesn’t work right and shakes and when I take a video it sounds like something is shaking around and doesn’t actually pick up my audio

Great place to get your phone fixed. They put a new charging port in on my Samsung S8 a few weeks back and it works great! I walked in and they said they could have it fixed in an hour. I came back an hour later and it was ready for pick up. They even followed up with a text weeks later to make sure everything was still working good. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I can only recommend Cell Phone Guy with a few warnings. This is the most expensive cell phone repair place in town. Theyll usually get it done same day, but you pay more for it, so keep that in mind. Be aware that any money you spend here is gone. They have a strict no-refund policy, along with a contract you agree to when you buy anything. If you buy something here and it doesnt work out, you have to settle for a substitute. Theyve been sued several times and never lost, according to the owner. I had an issue with a phone I purchased and wanted to return for a refund, but couldnt get my money back. They did give me my moneys worth in exchanges, and the owner was very patient dealing with me.While the owner is professional, the employees tend to have attitude. They push issues off onto the owner, and only wait five minutes before pushing whatever service plans they sell. Try this place if you know exactly what you want and what youre willing to pay, but ensure youre getting the real deal before you leave. Also make sure you can deal with someone getting snotty when you say no.

They quoted me 3-5 days to repair my Iphone and it took 18 days. 18 DAYS!!! They gave me a loaner phone that didnt work right so I missed a ton of calls and messages over those 18 days. They didnt update me on the status of the repairs at all so I found myself calling every couple days and each time they said, oh its probably going to be tomorrow, we will call you when its done. NO CALLS. NO Communication.Horrible customer service experience, I would not recommend at all.

My sister took her phone to The Cell Phone Guy to get fixed. They said they could order a part and fix it, but said they wouldn’t have it back before Christmas. She agreed and then returned home, spoke with her husband and decided to not fix the phone as it is an older phone. No repairs have been made. She went back today and they refused to give her phone back to her. Said that once she agreed to have it fixed she can not have it back until it is fixed. She asked to speak to the manager and owner and they refused and said he was not in until tomorrow. She has already paid upfront and they are STILL REFUSING to give her own property back to her! This fight I promise you has only just begun, but don’t EVER use them.....and tell your friends the same! And now after reading the reviews I understand how upset others were as well

This has got to be one of the worst stores I have ever dealt with. We are from out of town and my boyfriend dropped off 2 phones and paid them over $200. We got a call back that one was ready for pickup but wanted to wait until the other was done as well. Months passed with no call. I stopped to check today and was told they recycled them . I was told they called us but we never got a message. So now we are out 2 phones and $200. No stars, these guys are crooks take your devices to them at your own risk.

I recently went through SF on my way west and had a cracked glass on my note 9. I went with guys that seemed like the local shop. They offered an aftermarket or OEM screen. Now we all know and they text me that aftermarket isnt used. However with that said they repaired my phone with a used screen. The led screen has map buttons and lines burned into it. If I could screen shot this I would. So if aftermarket isnt used why do I have a screen with images burned into the led? Hmm.. shady shop dropped the ball and gave me a used one. As far as them recommending items, they suggested cell helmet. It didnt work.. the used screen they installed failed immediately upon being in my pocket. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GET ITEMS FIXED OR BUYING FROM THIS STORE.

I called to get price, part available, and length of repair. I was told 199 plus tax, they also told me parts where available and they could do it in one day and would take about an hour to do. When I got to the shop first the guy tried to tell me they had to ship my phone off, which i told him what I was told over the phone. He went in the back come out and said they can do it today then he tried to tell me it would be an extra 90 for same day which was not told to me over the phone and it would take till the end of the day to fix. I was there at 415. These guys need to be straight forward with customers and stop gouging....Update... I also bought a s pen from them and I stuck it in my phone and half of it came out the point end is stuck in my phone...

Found a great phone and great service. They had a great selection and were very helpful. But was very dissatisfied with the cost of the tempered glass screen protector. It cost 59.99 dollars and at most probably should cost 35.00 dollars.

We needed screens repaired and they were very reasonable and quick with their work. Then we needed a phone for 2 of our kids. They worked with us to find the best deal that would fit our needs. They tried hard to build us a package that was just perfect! We have gotten 2 phones and an apple watch there and each time we have gotten great service, price and attention. They will be our preferred business to deal with all our cell phone needs! Highly recommend!!!

Didnt like to customer service

Brought my phone in to replace the screen, but I was given it back with dead pixels. Brought it back in, and after charging me for another screen I noticed the back of the phone was cracked and they had attempted (and failed) to glue it shut. Charging port also busted when it was just fine before bringing it in here. Safe to say I will never go here again.

So my phone charging port stops working and I go in there to get it fixed. They agree that it is the charging port and estimate it at just over 200$ to fix. I sadly pay and they tell me that it will be done the next day and that theyll call. Next day nobody calls and on the day after we have to call them and they tell us that they forgot to call and that its been done the entire time. I go in to pick up the phone and phone turns on. I leave and on my way home I try to listen to music and my aux port is now broken and Ive never had a problem with that in my 3 years of having this phone. Next I try to plug in my phone to charge it since it was at 50% and I wanted to see if it worked. Nope the new charging port doesnt work. I then back up my phone and wait for it to die. Now I have to get a new phone (obviously not from them) and watch my old one become a paper weight. I could have tried to fix the phone myself and come out with these results but instead I payed 200$ for someone to do it. Now I bet the owner will reply back to me and not take responsibility of his/his employees actions, also he will probably attempt to smear my review like he has on many of his negative reviews. Would never recommend, will never be back, and will specifically tell people to never go to The Cell Phone Guy @ 3506 W 41st st Sioux Falls South Dakota.

They will take your device and charge you a fee, and then when you return to pick up the device they will charge you double the amount AGAIN without ever discussing it with you. Worst phone repair place in Sioux Falls. Had my phone for 3 months. Speakers were broke, they never tell you about a deductible with your warranty. Warranty’s are not suppose to have a deductible that’s for insurance. Got my battery replaced and they broke my phone more. When I took it back he took the screen off and I told him it was their fault like I’m not paying to get it fixed he gave me my phone in pieces and would not put it back together till I apologized. I hope they get shut down.

Before I came to their store I had called and asked if they could fix my iPhone 8+ they said they could and since I called and did a quote over the phone It would be $200. When I got there the employee helping me was nice but they tried telling me it would cost about $650 to fix the smashed screen and to straighten the frame. (The frame was bent near the power button when it was smashed) I left then they called me and said they would do it for $260. I found someone who would do it for $180. Told them this and the guy who was fixing my phone got mad and became rude. Said the least he would fix my phone for was $200. Before I got my phone fixed my back camera and speaker for the phone did work. After it was fixed my speaker did not work anymore, neither does my back camera or power button. He put the wrong color screen on there when I specifically asked for a white screen. He called me and said my phone needed a new battery. Which made no sense I just purchased this phone brand new 2 weeks ago. I was afraid that if I asked him to take off the new screen after he put it on already he would intentionally mess up the phone even more because of the way he was acting. The paper I signed said I’d get charged $200 + tax I ended up getting charged $260 total. Don’t trust them! I wish I would’ve looked somewhere else. Don’t let them manipulate you into believing there is more wrong with your phone than there really is.

I want into the store with a samsung s5. The phone would start up then turn right back off. The owner told me the phone was shot and charged me $100. A friend at work had the same phone and we traded out batteries just for fun and it worked just fine!! This place is a joke!

They replaced a screen on my iPad about 35 days ago. When they called to say it was ready I informed them I was out of town and would be for a feed weeks. It was supposed to be fixed before I left but they broke the screen that came in for it and needed to order a new one. When I got back to town I used it and the screen was “dead” not responding on the bottom half. I took it back this morning because I was told there was a 1 year warranty. When I went this morning I was informed that I would have to pay a $250 deductible?!?! I would NOT recommend any use The Cell Phone Guy for repairs. The conveniently have the review feature turned off on their Facebook page.

My daughters screen broke, I brought it to them and they replaced it, it still wasnt working. I brought it back and they said it had touch disease and there was nothing they could do. this was all within less than a week mind you. I paid over $200 and paid extra for same day service. I never got any money back and we had to get rid of the $700 phone they repaired because they made it irreparable. It was a tough lesson. and they were not nice to me on the phone. sad that they get away with it. it is what it is. dont go there. Thanks

My daughter had a variety of issues with her iPhone 4S. We had a previous experience with another shop in town that was less than satisfactory. We decided to try The Cell Phone Guy. WOW! They knew their stuff and were able to explain it in a way that we understood the problems. They presented all the the options for repair and were courteous to boot! I hope my family does a better job of protecting their phones, but if something does happen I know that The Cell Phone Guy will be my next stop!

Just the worst rip-off artists ever. Bought a used phone that lasted 3 months before it stopped making or receiving calls. Was told it had a 1 year warranty. Was not told there is a $100 deductible. They told me the antenna was broken. Expected me to give them $100 to fix a three month old purchase. Really bad, rude inattentive customer service, too. Stay away!

Bought a phone from them and 34 days later the phone stopped charging and took it in for there warranty and they said the batterywas bad and it was a 100 deductible because its past the 30 day warranty. So I left as I dont have 100 to spend so I went to get a 2nd opinion and guess what it was a simple issue att the charging port with a contract that got bent out of the way and was fixed for less than 20 bucks.. They are a joke when trading in as I got a whole 20 bucks for a phone they sell for 500 but it needed a screen. I would never recommend them.

Sold my daughter a phone, within minutes of trying to activate it, found out it was reported stolen. They refused to refund her, and forced her to buy the next model up because they did not have another of the model she originally purchased. They would not refund her the difference for a model down. They basically gave her the choice between keeping a stolen phone that didnt work, or paying extra for the next model up. I even went down there with her to reason with them. They refused to refund. I later joined the Facebook group Sioux falls rants and raves and found out how bad this buisness is. I wish I would have known! Check it out, make sure you search for The cell phone guy in Sioux falls rants and raves you can read lots of post on how this buisness robs its customers!!!! ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY FOR REPAIRS OR BUYING A PHONE, THEY WILL NOT REFUND A DIME FOR ANYTHING, EVEN IF THEY ARE AT FAULT!!! Avoid at all costs!

Very over priced to clean a phone

Was quoted 130 to fix cracked iPhone screen. Paid 169 almost 40 more for this aftermarket screen that was supposed to be a better quality and take more impact to harm. Ended up with a total of 185. Wasnt too disappointed though I only paid 199 for the phone brand new.. Not a month later.. I dropped my phone from my hand onto the table about 12-15 inches. Shattered the screen. I called obviously frustrated and after being told I had a 90 day warranty the guy tells me it doesnt cover physical damage. So two questions. What did I pay an extra 40 for? And what does the warranty cover? Because Ive never heard of damage that is NOT physical and Im pretty sure i cant cause any emotional damage to my iPhone.

I had the single worst experience here that Ive had at any retail location. STAY AWAY. I was lied to multiple times by multiple people, manipulated, pressured, and lied to some more. Some of the worst customer service and ownership in Sioux Falls. Stay away. It was really disappointed as I researched places to get my phone repaired and was expecting a positive outcome. I tried to give grace and come to a resolution multiple times, but finally had enough - hence this brutally honest review. Im certainly not trying to trash this place, just sharing my experience. Im hoping that someone can make an informed decision as a result.

Wont even give them one star. Will never bring anything to them ever again. Agree with previous comment with horrible at communication. I didnt even get a phone call to say the phone was done. I added a screen protector to my sons phone and then after the fact was told it wouldnt work with the case that was on my sons phone. Would not offer any type of refund. Found a protective screen to fit but did not cover to the edges. So it would easily catch on things and collect debris. Let them know I dont like how it fits but that was the best they could do and still no refund since they couldnt find the appropriate screen cover to fit his phone. I would NOT recommend bringing items to them.

I was quoted one price, and after the repair they added a 10 dollar protection fee that was not mentioned. The person that rang me up at the end was on the phone with someone else the whole time. I would bring my phone elsewhere if you want a honest and transparent process.

Dont do it people..... spent almost $500 and have no devices that work properly. I took the phone back within the week of purchase because it would not hold a charge. They took it and ran test on it and said that it was because apps were still running and open. Since then I will fully charge it, not use it while placing brightness way down and on low power mode and within 3 hours its dead. That bothers me. I spent a good amount of money there that day and I feel ripped off. While the staff is super kind, basically its sorry I cant fix it unless I charge you more. I dont appreciate that! Lesson learned I guess..........and now a month later and one device wont turn on and the other is not functioning properly......I will NEVER buy from there again! be cautious people...its not good.

Customer service was amazing! Fast but thorough explanation for a last minute Christmas gift! Just what I needed! Went the extra mile and txt me pics of the product before over the phone purchase! Much better than any big box store experience!

Great customer service! Helped me upgrade my device and made sure I was satisfied before leaving! 10/10
